I'm sorry but I need to point out that it's fallacy, not phallacy. The latter greatly resembles another term for a male body part.

Oh don't be sorry, i do speak 4 different languages, Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and currently learning english, your observation is great so i can learn ! thank you !

Okay, explain to me how the Nurse can avoid overshooting or blinking to the bottom level then in that scenario.

Not interested in teaching you anything, you can create a thread or search youtube videos, i guess all the 500 teams that faced Supaalf aren't aware of your unique, brilliant, genius idea of how to fool a 1000+ hours nurse player, let's just make the nurses over shoot the teleport !! easy !!

No, thats the point of nurse. You have to avoid a chase with her, not just run her like every other killer. So if she needs a nerf, it should not be impacting her chase-ability so much. Survivors should be forced to change their playstyle once in a while depending on the killer.

"avoiding a chase" is not possible on Dbd, at some point someone will engage in chase, whatever killer, the difference is you can't shake off a good nurse, because her power is too strong and the maps arent well balanced, if you get auto have for example its basically impossible, this is what was suggested, to nerf her numbers a little bit or remove / rework her addons so her teleport range becomes slighlty less dominating. just like all other killers

Imagine trying to quote a logical fallacy in Latin, and then immediately doing a Ad Verecundiam fallacy.

You’re also totally ignoring the fact that some of the specialists make money off of viewers, and complaining about Nurse is a far better clickbait than defending Nurse.

clickbait ? haha this was funny man, they dont need any clickbait, you are clearly not a Dbd streamer viewer, people watch them for satisfaction and joy, nothing is better than watching d3ad playing a nemesis, its pleasent to see it being used to its full capabilities by a pro, makes nemesis look like a tier S, or trapper by Otz, or huntress by Coconut, or Blight by cafulio, ghostface by lz_ghostface, please man, bring some logic here.

another phallacy is that if you throw a professional player against new players, on a non-professional match, the professional player is always going to shine, thats a lie, on group sporte, the pro would suffer, he wouldnt get pro assistance from other players, and people wouldnt respect the rules as they arent pros and on amateur matches rules are disrespected all the time , this is true on most sports.

And this applies to DBD where the killer is playing solo, how exactly???

Competitive gaming on Dbd is an entire different game, everything is different, first on some competitive games there are rules, and points, some rules includes limiting perks and items, its also played on selected maps, the nurse from Alf faced a harder challenge, 500 different teams, with no limitations, no item limits, no maps limits, its a big lie to think he faced "random noobs", if he kills most survivors, his MMR will be the highest, of course matchmaking is also bad and he definetly has easy games, buy he did face many, many SWFs, with all sorts of builds, and barely any gen regression perks, si basically his strategy is focused around downing survivors fast to snowball and build pressure, this alone isnt viable on some killers.

try to play killer on high MMR against a coordinated SWF and let me know how it goes, chances are you will easily lose 2 -3 gens on the first chase.

i NEVER claimed SWFs are balanced, since this thread isnt about it, neither it is about kill rates either, nurses can still lose (2k or less) for not taking care of gens, lose tri-gens, fail to down a survivor fast, or fail to apply pressure / tunnel and camp if needed. that is a player issue.

what i'm saying is that all other killers have a limiting factor attached to them, whereas the nurse have none, and this isnt right, that means if a player is really good at blight, he can still be stopped, but the nurse being played by someone of the same level, simply won't be stopped, unless the llayer makes multiple mistakes.

  • and the funniest thing here is people pretending all killers can do well when played by a good player, that simply isnt true, anyone who watches good killers streaming can see the huge difference between a nurse match and a pig or deathslinger match, the difference is just gigantic

the good players will make the most out of any killer, even weak ones, but they require vast knowledge about the game to work, I.E. maps variation, pallets location, survivor tracking, mind gaming on jungle gyms and loops, you need skill to mind game a good survivor ona jungle gym or loop, not to mention all killers will be blocked by a good pallet,

now guess whats the only killer that cannot be stopped by walls, loops or god pallets, whats the only killer who doesnt needs to jump walls or even waste time breaking pallets ?

nurses are even more powerful because they dont need to slot a perk such as brutal strength, or superior anatomy, they have that already built in, and much better than the perks itself, simply go trough it.

what killer can go up and down with no limits? dredge needs a locker, sadako needs a tv, both have serious limitations, nurse simply have no limits, nit even range or recharge speed, a nurse can teleport to gen and insta catch a survivor, no other killer can do this, lets see the nurse defenders ignore all of this facts haha.

Alf was on the best team in competitive (Oracle) for a bit. He was their backup Nurse. If you had an NBA player play 500 random basketball players with college experience or even low level pro experience in a game of 1 on 1, the NBA player would win 500 times because they're in the top 0.01% skill bracket. Alf actually had closer to a 50% win rate in comp when he was facing survivors at his skill level. It is highly likely given the way matchmaking in DbD works at the softcaps that he encountered survivors anywhere close to his skill level a few times in that 500 win streak.

There is no DbD equivalent of Overwatch's GM or Top 500 for matchmaking. It essentially throws Plat/Diamond-top 500 in the same bracket.

thats absolutely false in so many ways, even when he is doing a win streak, he isn't playing as if he was playing on championship, he is all relaxed and reading twitch chat and interacting with his viewers, anyone who has ever watched any dbd competitive matches knows its totally different.

your second mistake is to believe he only faced newbies, we are talking about 500 matches, and i personally watched when he almost lost the streak a couple times.

500 games, with zero escapes after gens were done, is simply insane, and can only be done by something like a nurse or blight, because of their mobility.

another phallacy is that if you throw a professional player against new players, on a non-professional match, the professional player is always going to shine, thats a lie, on group sporte, the pro would suffer, he wouldnt get pro assistance from other players, and people wouldnt respect the rules as they arent pros and on amateur matches rules are disrespected all the time , this is true on most sports.

even when the killer plays solo on Dbd, those rules would be broken all the time, like survivors bringing purple items, brand new parts, and many other things that are forbidden on tournments.

Nurse fanboys will defend it to death, even when all evidence and all pro players and specialists says nurse js broken Op and needs a rebalance, no other killer in DBD is able to pull a 500 win streak with those conditions, but hey, lets pretend its just the player, and not the nurses broken ability to 1- down someone faster than any other killer, 2- hook and barbecue them, 3- either kill another surv who got exposed by starstruck, or teleport back to hook and kill the exposed surv by make your choice.

Ok buddy, since you're apparently really not reading the information BHVR realeases on their game I'm gonna help you out on this one...

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/350586/stats-kill-rate-by-killer-and-mmr-september-2022

Here you go my dear, on the bottom of that you'll find the pickrate in a nice chart... to make it short...

    Pickrate left ... Killrate right

    Mastermind 25% 65,82%

    Plague 2,4% 63,13%

    Dredge 1,99% 62,17 %

    Oni 2,62 % 61,54 %

    Cenobite 2,9 % 61,41 %

    Onryo 2,18 % 61,4 %

    Blight 4,95% 61, 34%

    Nurse 6,12 % 61,22 %

    Spirit 2,81 % 61,09 %

You can read the rest yourself if you are interested... So Nurse might be in the top 5% of killrates but is only 8th percentage wise, so even if we do not refer to the average, which is as I said before kind of broken by wesker with 25% pickrate, Nurse is still not the deadliest killer even when players know what to do with her...

so first you claims nurse wasnt 5% but now you say it is ? you need to make a decision mate.. again this numbers are good only as a cueiosity, nothing else, they are laughable as they dont bring essential information as how many hours did each player had, in average, or what perks they were using, or even better, what maps were used in this

  • @Archol123 said:

Ok buddy since you are getting rude I'm gonna make it extra clear for you... There are like 10 killers in the top 5% of killrates and since the average is even above the 61% killrate nurse has with 61,3% her killrate is basically even below average...

Now you might need to rephrase what you are trying to say? The whole statstic is about how killers perform in the top 5% of mmr... And Nurse basically performs below average by 0,3% with a whole lot of way weaker killers... What is your point even...

Let me try to be nice to you, the "statistics" you sent are nothing more than data collected from 1 (One) single month, whereas nurse Is in the top 5%, this alone is enough to show you are wrong on your initial claims, second the data does not specify how many games were played by each killer, there could be 1 nurse game versus 10 weskers games, next you have wesker being a brand new killer, this gives us two things, everyone is playing wesker, with his new power, and most have never faced wesker or his addons, and that will lead to inflated numbers for a period of time, same thing happens for dredge, and thats how they are high there, as said befire in this thread, nurse isnt played a lot actually, the fact here is that she is broken, mechanics wise, period.

  • the nurse literally IS in the top 5% , second picture, with 61%

  • @Archol123 said:

Above you said that behaviours takes into account newer players without game knowledge when releasing their stats, but they also released stats for the top 5% mmr which are not new players... And even at that level Nurse isn't the killer with the highest killrate, even though people who are top 5% mmr as Nurse should know how to play her, otherwise how did they get into top 5% mmr...

I hope that was more understandable, as English is only my 3rd language I'm not entirely sure what sounds properly for a natural English speaker...

    send link with source

  • @TheSubstitute said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240750#Comment_3240750

The top 5% of MMR isn't invalid (and the Nurses in that MMR aren't new either) and neither is the playing experience of new players. Players in all MMR ranges need to be considered; not individuals.

Also, if we're going to balance Nurse around SupaAlf why can't we balance survivors around Hens? The reason is it wouldn't be fair but you can't say it's okay in this situation since it benefits me but it's not okay in this situation because it would hurt me.

the poor nurse is so weak, im sure pig , trapper and freddy or sadako can beat a nurse any day, the nurse nerf will come, and i will save your name just to message you on that day

  • @TheSubstitute said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240705#Comment_3240705

No, I'm saying the evidence shows that Nurse is not an issue for the majority of the playerbase; not which Killer is stronger.

where is your evidence ? you dont have any, invalid.

    @Veinslay said:

You just want to punish players who spent an inordinate amount of time to master one killer. 4 man SWFs with map offerings, medkits and comms can escape every game playing efficiently if they want but whenever it's suggested to lower pallet density, increase gen repair times or limit perk duplicates for SWFs it's YoU CaNt PuNiSh PeOpLe FoR PlAyInG WiTh FrIeNdS. As long as sweaty SWF can run roughshod over the entire roster, Nurse doesn't need changes imo

i guess you are a bit confused about this thread, this is about nurse not SWF, move on.

  • @TheSubstitute said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240694#Comment_3240694

One part is correct. You cannot provide any factual evidence. That makes your position on Nurse an opinion.

I can provide factual evidence that Nurse is not an issue for the majority of the playerbase which is why my argument is not what you described above.

This is done with the caveat that the Kill rates as released are not the full picture but we are unaware of any factors that would change it.

Your opinion that Nurse is OP and broken is an opinion with no factual basis. My opinion is that Nurse is not OP and broken for the majority of the player base but I do have evidence backing my position. If there's an issue somewhere BHVR will change it eventually but I'd rather BHVR work on something more important and pressing such as solo queue icons.

you don't have any evidence... as each killer have different learning curves, and new players will drag the nurse numbers down by a lot, the nurse is the worst killer for new players, as it has a very high skill ceiling, while sadako is a hundred times easier in comparison, and got the highest kill rates, so your evidence shows that sadako is the best killer on DBD ? because thats what you are saying.. lol !!!

  • @TheSubstitute said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240674#Comment_3240674

No, I'm asking you to provide me evidence that Nurse is OP for the majority of players. The only evidence we do have doesn't show it.

(Latin: argumentum ad Ignorantiam) The attempt to argue for or against a proposition or position because there is a lack of evidence against or for it: I argue X because there is no evidence showing not-X.

basically you are asking for something impossible, i am not BHVR, im not a company , i cannot produce factual evidence, i can however play the game, test the killers and survivors, and listen to 10 + extremely professional and experienced game specialists that have a combined 20.000 hours of gameplay and that can describe how some killers are either too strong not strong.

there is no way to show your desired "evidence", BHVR kill rates shows that sadako is top on kill rates, is this true when you consider players with any 500 hours of experience ? nope !

  • every good player is an outlier to you, only streamers are good at nurse, no other players are good at nurse, lol

  • @TheSubstitute said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240650#Comment_3240650

Have you considered there's a possibility that your emotional investment in the issue might be affecting your ability to think logically about this?

have you considered the possibility of listening to all professional players who clearly stated nurse is broken OP and needs to be nerfed ?

  • nah, you showed yours long time ago, when no matter what kind of numbers someone shows you, or how many professional players state the same thing, your automatic response is to deny it, you live on a denial reality, just to try and protect your dear OP nurse character, the slightest fear of nerfing the nurse irritates you, makes you go angry.

    "Otzdarva is wrong"

    "Supaalf is wrong"

    "D3ad plays is wrong"

"All people who picks nurse on championship are wrong"

"All survivors who dies to nurse are wrong, they dont know how to counter nurse"

"you are fishing for likes, that is not an indicator people agrees with you"

you deny everything and everyone, just look at what you said above, your posts are only good for laughing at best

Bubba is not as powerful, though I main Bubba.

We are speaking about Blight and Nurse in this thread, specifically. I am fascinated on how some of you look at certain streamers getting a million winstreak just to wait the moment to create a fancy thread "nerf the killer too strong" while the general playerbase cannot even get close to them lol.

there are no blight 500 win streaks out there, if you have any please link it here, blights can be countered, i played against one of the best, if not the best blight player in my country, and i managed to stay alive enough time for 2 gens to be done, and he gave up on me, this would never happens against a nurse of the same level, blights don't have the same reach as nurses, not even close.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240536#Comment_3240536

You can nerf every killer you want in this game to please your needs. The idea of nerfing someone just because of an outlier is the wrong take to balance a game.

Let a Blight achieve a 500 winstreak and boom "Blight balanced character" ironically to say "nerf the killer". It's just a wrong vision on how game balancing works imo.

what you say makes zero sense, i'm still looking for a trapper 500 win streak with those same conditions, know any ? link it here.

what about bubba, got any ?

blight is tier S too, and the highest streak i could find is 150 win streaks, against 500 of nurse, does this rings any bells ?

there shouldn't even be a 2nd place for killers in DBD, nurse should take all 3 best spots

    Number 1 - nurse

    Number 2 - nurse

    Number 3 - nurse

    Number 4 - blight

    Bumber 5 - spirit

now remove nurse addons and the streak is over, period.

  • @foxsansbox said:

Yes, fishing for upvotes is not hard. If that's your indicator for a successful thread, you can have your win.

    • Nerfing the chain blink duration to 1 second makes it impossible to even go over normal sized boulders. Sounds like you want a Nurse who cannot chase at all
    • 0.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds chain blink allows survivors to simply hold W from one side of the map to the other without ever coming into threat of being hit. Sounds like you want a Nurse who cannot chase at all

Oh man, I can't keep going. It's all the same thing. There is no good faith in what you want. You're just upset.

all the numbers i said are just hypothetical, that shouldn't be taken as my final desire, i want the nurse to be strong in chase, but must have clear limits, so something should be changed on her

Watch this video from D3ad plays and hes not even using Supaalf build, he is running Lethal, barbecue, im all ears and floods of rage

no need for exposed perks, or gen regression perks, or even endgame perks at all,l this is how strong nurse is, now how many killers can do so good with a build like this ?

sadako can teleport, is she able to make it? no

Dredge teleports, is he able to ? no

freddy have a small teleport power, can he do this ? no

    what about spirit ? nope

what about blight ? blight is the only killer who can do something similar, but still can't do the same..

    take this into consideration

  • @foxsansbox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240571#Comment_3240571

They can listen to them, even Otzdarva in his balancing video said Nurse wasn't in as bad a state as many detractors make her out to be (Edit: And some of his suggestions aren't downright terrible, either!)

As for the suggestions you made:

"remove the range addons, or at least nerf them so that the survivors can at least run away from it"

You want to remove range addons completely, okay what addons will you give her in turn? You want to nerf her range addons, how much? Give me the breakpoints. Demonstrate that you're not just losing your grip over one killer.

You don't understand how to balance, you just want nerfs. Like I said, this thread is about your lack of comprehension and nothing else. If you wanted to be taken seriously, you're welcome to try again.

i mean, you are just making a joke out of yourself, look at how many upvotes i got on my initial post, now look yours, i guess people agrees more with me than with you, how do you react to that ?

"Losing my grip over a killer", honestly its pretty rare to go against a nurse, and some maps does helps to play against her, like very large maps, red forest, RPD, or maps with a lot of tall obstacles or walls, like lerys, that naturally denies her power a little.

now, i will give some ideas that can shine some light on maybe how to make her a bit more balanced, you might learn by reading as well:

    Chain-Blink

    • Chain Blink Window duration: 1.5 seconds ---- > Nerf this to 1 second

    Fatigue:

    • Base Fatigue duration: 2 seconds --> increase this to 2.5 seconds
    • Chain-Blink penalty: +0.5 seconds each ----> increase this to 1.5 seconds, to make chain blinking riskier and not be spammed.
      • 1 Blink: 2 seconds -----> increase this to 2.5 seconds
      • 2 Blinks: 2.5 seconds -----increase this to 4 or 4.5 seconds this will punish the nurse if she miss, and will give the survivor time to run or create distance, since he can't rely on pallets or obstacles, this preserve the nurse capability of going trough walls and up/down with the blind, but makes it less oppressive.
      • 3 Blinks: 3 seconds ----------> increase to 5
    • Blink Attack penalty: +1 second

    • Heavy painting addon
    • Increases the maximum range of the Blink by +4 metres. -----> Decrease this to 2 metres.
    • Increases the Charge time of the Blink by +20 %. -----> increase this to 30%
    • Increases the duration of the Blink by +20 %.

    Kavanagh's Last Breath

    • Increases the maximum range of the Blink by +6 metres. -----> decrease this to 3 metres
    • Increases the Charge time of the Blink by +30 %. -----> increase this to 35%
    • Increases the duration of the Blink by +30 %. --------- decrease this to 20%

Another option would be to entirely remove these addons, and give her something different instead, like reveal survivors auras for 2 seconds after a blink if they are at about 8 metres around you.

give her the option to cancel the blink to compensate for the changes

There are many things that can be done to balance nurse while preserve her unique power

  • @foxsansbox said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240536#Comment_3240536

Alf can say whetever he wants, hes allowed to have an opinion that reflects his personal experience (Protip, that is why it's called an opinion)

While I believe she is balanced (There, now I said it, mald away), you will never see me dispute reasonable calls for adjustments to her, because their is wiggle room for either direction. Her dead zones can be improved to help lower tier nurses, her pallet interactivity can be improved to give mid level survivors more avenues.

The only thing this thread is about is your tenuous grasp of outliers. This is not about Nurse balance at all, or you would have made a thread with suggestions instead.

this right here is evidence of how you are totally wrong, i made many suggestions to balance nurse, and i said on this very thread we don't even need to touch the character itself, just the addons would bring her to balanced levels, like nerfing the recharge and range, but you are simply not reading the thread, or you are very bad at reading, which one is it

    your reply is hilarious

"Alf can say whatever he wants, its his opinion

otzdarva can say whatever he wants, its his opinion"

    "i have my own opinion"

whats next, are you gonna challenge albert einstein and say "einstein can have his own opinion"

Running out of creativity in the Xteenth thread to plug Alfs streak like it's some gotchya argument? You got me. I make it a point to spend more time enjoying the game than helping those who cannot be helped.

You weren't the first to try this angle and you definitely won't be last. Thankfully, the people who get skill diffed this hard don't last long.

oh , please answer me this:

Supaalf, one of the best nurse players says nurse is broken and no killer should be like this

Otzdarva says nurse isnt balanced and needs changes

no major streamer has ever said that nurse is balanced..

No problem, please show me the evidence that Nurse has a kill rate that justifies nerfs without pointing to outliers.

such evidence isnt documented, as its not that simple to read basic numbers regarding killer power, Nurse has the lowest kill rate and ping head has the highest kill rate, according to BHRV, does that means pinhead is stronger ? no , nurse players needs time to learn how to play nurse, while pinhead is easier in comparison, so people with lets say, less than 500 hours on nurse will drag the numbers down, while this effect doesnt happens with pinhead, the harder to learn killers are on the bottom, because they take all kinds of players into consideration, like a 10 hours nurse, nurse is 52% , blight 57% and pinhead & sadako 63%, yet everyone knows sadako isnt strong, pinhead can be strong, but not like nurse or blight, so even on the bottom numbers, blight and nurse are the only killers considered to be tier S, also the most picked killer for championship gameplay

I responded to a post that invented a fallacy to dismiss a genuine argument, I'm not going to spend time holding your hand, too.

if you want to make a point then you need to bring the essential information,, your childish reply just shows that you can't defend your point, "go watch all of his videos and find out what he is doing", honestly this is so dumb, did i tell you to watch all 500 games from supaalf ? nope, i just said, with 1 line, what his win conditions are, you are just another eternal nurse defender, a.k.a. fanboy

Thank you. Yeah, SupaAlf 100% deserves it as does Hens and his SWF and Wima with his 363 escape streak. They also faced Nurses and beat them quite handily. I just mention them because the 'Nerf Nurse' people also ignore that there are SWFs that are outliers. If we balance around outliers why not balance survivors around outliers as well? BHVR wisely doesn't because it would make the game unplayable. Balancing around outliers just wrecks the game for someone so it is best not to do it.

It was Saturday evening which could have something to do with a lack of replies. You still haven't directed me to the comment that argues against any issues with Nurse must be limited to a tiny fraction of the playerbase nor how this invalidates the concept that you shouldn't balance around a tiny fraction of the playerbase.

no one is talking exclusively about outliers as you claim, average nurses do quite well here, and the point is that nurse has a broken power, thats all, she needs to be balanced to fall in line with all other killers, keep the teleportation power but make it less oppressive, less OP so survivors can actually have a chance on chase

  • what were his conditions for a win ? a simple escape ? well just bring bills left behind perk and a key, hide until all die and escape, real question is, did he get 3-men escape 500 in a row ? so no... invalid comparison

"I dislike stealth playstyles and I would have no desire to play out my survivor games with a stealth build.", then I think we both know that you should definitely improve your own playstyle with perks that do help more against certain killers instead of saying "It's unbalanced" type of discussion, when you refuse to help yourself. Honestly, it may sound rough but it's the way it is.

    what perk counters nurse ?

  • @Omans said:

Funny how in the other thread nurse defenders got absolutely taken to school by a commenter, and now they are all in this thread pretending nothing happened. They have no interest in the balance of this game, only keeping the status quo, and the easy wins their OP character gives them.

exactly, i don't hate nurse, i just want it to be properly balanced for fair gameplay, nurse with starstruck + aura reading + double range addons..

remove the range addons, or at least nerf them so that the survivors can at least run away from it

Nurse is the only killer in the game that denies looping. Looping is the most used strategy by survivors and mostly known to defend themselfs against killers.. as most survivors do suck at hide'n'seek.

If the Nurse is good, the playstyle has to be changed a little bit from the normal gameplay... something that hugely unpopular in Dead by Daylight's high mmr brackets where people don't like to hide from the killer that's undoubtely better than them.

Blight, Artist, Oni and Huntress have clear weakness when it comes to looping strategies, heavily affected by minimal interaction (the W pre-drop playstyle).. some more or less. Nurse doesn't care as the power was made to counter it, this only if you are handling the power as expected.

I don't see a single problem by someone with such an experience like SupaAlf to destroy even 1 million games at this point

lets see you and your friends with such an unique knowledge beat supaalf or any other good nurse, like d3ad plays or otzdarva, lol, do you think everyone else is stupid and don't know or haven't tried different things against nurse ? you are the only one with brains friend, hiding from a nurse once she blinked near you, is something hard and can't be done by everyone all the time, not even with perks

While I see your point... can this be done with Blight? Spirit? Artist? Oni? Huntress? I think the fact that somebody can master Nurse and never lose once in 500 games implies something's up when you can't say the same for someone who's mastered another killer to that same level.

Because my issue with Nurse was always that your ability to do anything in chase is entirely dependent on the skill of the Nurse. You're fine if they're not great, and you can still pull some moves if they're not perfect, but if they know exactly what they're doing, you have nothing. And no other killer is like that. You still have tools to waste time.

I know someone had an insanely long win streak with Twins, but Twins is a bit of an anomaly in that nobody sees them and it's quite common for people to have no idea how to verse them. And I can't remember if that was pre MMR or not.

your comment is good, thats what i mean, you can have some sort of protection against all other killers, even blight or spirit, you can delay them for a long time, the nurse however, no matter how good you are, if the nurse is also good, she will eventually catch up to you, and her power is too strong with barely any downsides, she can go first floor with a simple blink, while all other killers needs to walk a lot to get there, pallets doesnt works against her, the only protection is breaking line of sight, and again its gonna be 50% for you and 50% for her, or basically a gamble, now the best part is, even Supaalf himself said nurse needs a nerf, yet you have nurse defenders here on the forum, its surprisingly funny !!

  • @MaTtRoSiTy said:

Alf himself said to a random commenter that no character should have a 500 win streak in any game - so even he knows Nurse needs a nerf.

Nurse was my main killer and in the last week after always denying this, I have had to admit that she does need some kind of nerf as even noobs are destroying on her in solo queue.

Their ground up re-code to fix her made her too easy to play against the average survivor and sadly I cant really argue that Sally doesn't need a nerf as the situation is getting a bit ridiculous.

the commenter was me, i asked his opinion, and he said no character should be able to do something like this.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Why do you take the "unbalanced" idea of Nurse from a veteran player that plays Nurse like no other player in Dead by Daylight?

SupaAlf is just one of the most dedicated Nurse players in the entire game, obviously he will perform amanzingly well. Try to take a Nurse from an average player and see how it goes

i knew this kind of comment would come up, but theres a big big fail with your logic, alf is a great player, so what about the 2,000 survivors that played against him ? out of 500 different teams, not a single one could beat him ? im sure he faced many SWFs, and even championship players, how do you explain that ? if nurse was balanced, he would've lost at some point, even a 2k was considered a defeat, and not a single team out of 500 could escape with 2 survivors, this alone shows OP nurse is, how broken it is, no other killer is remotely strong as nurse

  • 15% is a lie, when im in swf, and we arent even pros, my escape rate is around 60 - 70%, solo Q its about 20%

  • nurse is totally broken, period, her only problem is that she got a too big of an advantage against survivors where most survivors wont be able to counter for kore than 10 seconds, she gets to ignore everything with her blink TWICE, or maybe even three times ! so the nurse player blinks once to close distance, and second to hit, yes you can break line of sight but on modt cases you sre screwed, pallets are useless, sprint burst or lithe are almost useless too with her addons for distance,

its easy to fix nurse, make it a 1 blink only, or remove the distance addons and nerf the recharge addons

  • nurse is broken at this moment, needs rework, removing 1 blink would make it balanced

  • its happening a lot yes

  • Aliens

    Killer: xenomorph

    survivors: ellen ripley

  • oh im sorry about that, i misread, can you erase my post, sorry about it

    In championships, yes.

But who plays this game ? Who makes the majority of the playerbase on DbD ?

Casual players. Who, you know. Don't know the maps extremely well. Don't think to call out every single information. Aren't good enough at the game to have insane payoffs on their strats. Friends who play this to relax after work. Or who are introducing a new player to the game. In most cases, they're duos, maybe trios. Rarely more.

You're taking the example of extremely high-skill, long-time playing survivor mains who are literally good enough to play in championships.

The idea that most survivors killers are facing are of this caliber is ludicrous. The idea that most swfs killers are facing are like this is a pure fantasy. SWFs are the boogeymen of average killers. The average SWF is not that much harder to face than solos.

I think this obsession some people have over the potential of SWFs is really unhealthy for the game, since now any time a killer has a bad loss, their mind jumps to "they were probably a SWF, so it was unfair from the start!" even when the team was just... good solos. Or if killer made mistakes.

And it perpetuates the idea that solos are jokes, which they're not.

No, you are the one who can't properly understand my text, my post is directed at the good winrate premades, not casual players, not even duos, a duo is not a problem for me, but if you invite 3 other players, and is play with 4, no matter how experient you are, it is an advantage, and this is the point, you don't need to be championship good to benefit from this, people who pre-made (3 players or 4 players) should play with a different segment, anything duo and below should go to the random matches, same for killers, low winrate killers should match with low winrate survivors, this is called balance

  • @HugTheHag said:

The difference in terms of escape rates for swf and solos is negligible in the vast majority of cases, the devs have said.

The only difference that makes me think solos should be buffed on par with swf is that solos are constrained to some perks without which the game can be unpleasant, which makes the game less fun for them. They just can't get as creative with builds because they need the information, which is what handicaps them.

The rest is mostly skill. A swf will not be inherently better just because they can communicate when they're not talking about movies or how their day went. The idea that swfs are constantly calling out to each other where they are, where they're going, where killer is, what pallets were broken, etc., is in most cases a myth.

Sure, going against a complete swf (which is, and I can't stress this enough, very rare) can be a bit disorienting because you're not used to your opponents being a little bit coordinated. But it's not unfair either. In most cases you will barely feel the difference.

what you said is so extremely false, just what a championship video and just check how they communicate, its insane, they say where they are, how many % on each gen, they coordinate when to pop gens, when to pop the last gen, they have one dedicated person with adrenaline to tank on specific times, and then you tell me communication is not an advantage, is like a joke, they even go with specific perks, specific roles, the disadvantage for the killer is enourmous, at this point the killer is just someone filling a spot so the SWFs can abuse and have fun, when you go to regular matches , with random people not in comms, the fight is very balanced, pre-made groups needs to be nerfed or killer buffed for this specific occasions

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I think that people who really think that the strength of SWF is communication dont understand the game at all, but are asking for Nerfs...

SWF will never be nerfed. There will never be an option to opt out of SWF-Games. Stop blaming your losses on SWFs.

so for a random group facing ghost face, ghost faces main power is to go undetectable, he hooks a survivor and is stalking around a wall or something, then if they are in voice they just tell each other exactly where he is, totally negating his power, the game gives you the tool to expose ghost face by looking at him, the game doesnt have voice built it not text chat, so you are not meant to know ghostfaces location, a clear and obvious huge advantage for SWFs, and this goes even further, they can wait until last moment doing gens because they know exactly wher he is, and then just trade hooks.. obviously a game exploit, but im sure you are one of those SWF players enjoying it right

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

Its been a few months, how have you fared on the game so far? @Lima24927

im doing really good, most of the rounds i get 3k's, i only really lose against some sweaty swfs, and im starting to hate survival players to be honest, they bring 4 DS, 4 DH, 4 BT, circle of healing, does body block, bring flashlights, and once the round is over, stupid idiots come to say gg ez or ez, or just teabag at the exit door, that should be a bannable offense really, theres absolutely no reason to do that if not to provoke the opposing player and try to humiliate them

  • GG is a toxic way to provoke the other party, nothing else, GG is valid when you really have a competitive game, a 2k, a nice recovery, or something, not when 1 side stomp the other side, it wasnt a good game

I would be almost jealous of the exaggerated reaction of some. I now have so many years of experience with the horror genre (movies, books, video games) that I feel absolutely nothing about jumpscare.

When I first got Sadako's, I just did "Meh..." and I was almost sad about it because it was good originality from the developers.

you are lucky, i cant play horror games, i was able to beat RE 2(old one) but thats it, and dino crisys, thats it, im extremely afraid of even playing horror games, i just watch videos on youtube or read wikipedia, i wouldnt be able to play things like silent hill

There i was, wondering if all those streamers that got jump scared by her, where just faking it. And then i see your thread.

Now i don´t know what to think.

But as said above, you can turn her, so she doesn´t jumps towards you.

its real, its a hell of a jumpscare, i wasnt expecting it at all, i was reading the bloodpoints description and drinking coffee, then i just saw that big face in front of my i spilled my coffee all over (it was full) 😁 , i was like ######### lol now im scared shitless about staying in the killers menu for too long,

  • play with wraith on pallet town versus a SWF running all meta
