It can honestly just be removed. And nobody would miss it.

That’s just not true, people actually like getting feedback from survivors from certain builds they use or feedback from killers on what builds they use, not every single game is toxic more often than not most games are non toxic

  • Well after killers stop complaining about every single survivor perk then we’ll stop complaining about killer perks

  • I’d rather have it in the game than anything since they were fun to do, and they weren’t even optimal since it requires at least two teammates and that’s two teammates away from generators already, I don’t see the need to complain about it

  • @Hex_Ignored said:

Good heavens, no. If they bring back the bp bonus, players might earn meaningful amounts of bp per match. We can't have that now, can we?

Oh boy can’t have you leveling up to p100 in 5 months instead of 6 now can we

  • @Ariel_Starshine said:

Yes, can we please start buffing perks and make them useful again, on both sides?

It's a shame having so many perks remain useless and bloat my inventory. Wish I could just hide the useless ones that have been nerfed to oblivion.

The only reason they nerfed them was because they are “meta” which makes no sense to me, if people like using certain perks why not let them use it

All medkits have the same charges, and heal you at the same speed. Brown medkits are the best ones, because they function identically to the others, and they're cheapest.

Unless you're exclusively using them to heal other survivors (for which there are decent builds using things like Renewal).

Again I’m not talking just about medkits 🤦‍♂️ they are again not all the same, they heal other survivors at different speeds, I’m talking all the items and all the offerings, not just medkits

  • @darksouls3600 said:

DS with MFT... Thanks but, no, 3s stun for DS is fine, survivors already have good endure perks and passive BT

Wouldn’t be a problem if killers don’t have to resort to tunneling, all this does is discourage killers from tunneling and go after other survivors

  • @Seraphor said:

But... all Medkits are the same now, why wouldn't you use brown ones?

If they were all the same they would all be the same rarity, they are not the same, and this isn’t only about medkits it’s about every item and every offering

It'd be cool. But the "merging" aspect would be a bad business move in terms of loosing money. I hope it happens at some point though. More likely you'll have to set up a "behavior" account and connect one account to it. And any future platforms you want to connect to it you would basically have to reset and sync with the first platform.

I honestly wouldn’t mind losing whatever outfits I had (although I would hope the stranger things chapter I bought on Xbox transfers over) but at least have all my progression transfer over and I’d be satisfied with that

  • @Anti051 said:

Well unless we're talking about also altering the atrociously fast potential gen completion speed and/or reducing map safety in general, you may as well forget about DS getting reverted or buffed.

"Tunneling," "Camping," "Slugging," it's all a cluster of terminology made-up and clung to by entitled people pissed that they didn't win i.e. Scrubs.

The only piece of terminology made-up by scrubs that has any credence in the grand scope of the game is "face-camping."

Yeah it’s correct terminology because that’s what it is, and they are completely valid ways to play, survivors just need more of a way to counter these play styles otherwise it’s unfair for certain people to live very long and have potential at winning a match

  • @Meepy13 said:

The fact they can just spawn directly next to a survivor spawn has made me drop hexes for good. What is the point of a good perk with a drawback if the drawback is a chance for the perk to just not exist 20 seconds into the match?

They're also unbelievably difficult to protect with a fairly fast cleanse and however many other objectives you also have to protect.

I feel like killer should be allowed to choose where hexes spawn pre match, or have to place them like a boon. (Pre match preferable, boon-like hexes could potentially be insanely busted, you could have ruin at a 3 gen for example)

Hex totems should be protected at least 60 seconds into the round or until the first down, hex totems also need to be reworked for better placement, that way if a team wants they can pre scout totems and waste a little more time looking for them, or ignore them and try to power through whatever the totem is, I feel like that would make totems a little better, because right now it’s a gamble on whether you’ll have good use or not out of it

Don’t I know it i miss the old ds so much even ds endgame was fair imo if you haven’t earned the kill in the game you haven’t earned it by tunnelling end game behaviour just want this game easy mode for the killer side yeah you’ve made it to end game how about we disable your perk makes perfect sense apparently

Yeah I think it’s dumb it disables at end game, if you still have ds by the end of the game then it’s only fair you get to keep it

Even a 5 sec duration will do nothing against Nurse

Against any killer it gives you a little more leeway into where you can go, don’t just go straight to the nurse to diminish what I’m trying to say

  • The only thing I saw that would be a good mechanic is trading hook stages, other than that all of this just sounds so annoying to deal with, and with this new status effect it will just bring back gen tapping to avoid the “old ruin” skill checks

  • I mean that’s not the perks fault that’s your teammate’s fault, you can’t always expect to get value out of situational perks

You will be shocked if i tell you good loopers can even steal more time with Lithe or SB.

    Yes.

That's how exhaustion perks works. They designed to make chase longer. Shocking right?

Meghead will waste his SB for no reason but this smart looper will make SB pain for you.

Just because they outplayed you with MfT, this does not mean they can't do this with different perks as well.

That’s all of their arguments, that mft extends chase and that’s too op, are chase perks supposed to just be useless? I just don’t understand their logic it makes no sense to me, a good killer will be able to play around any exhaustion perk or mft

No, I am not missing your point, you are missing mine. You don't get to dictate to the killer what is fun any more than they do to you. I've had it done to me, and I have done it to Boil Over users (or in my opinion, abusers.) Which is my point also.... I deem Boil Over abuse as toxic... So can I have the killer equivalent and get a free Mori if there are no hooks near a downed Boil Over user?

I know a streamer that has his "Toxic Chainsaw Massacre" joke games, where he will facecamp with Bubba and spell out the name of the chatter that redeemed for it in hits on the hook. Is it toxic? I mean, yeah. One could argue it is. But is it hilarious fun? Absolutely... and the thing is, in all the times I've seen him doing it, very few times has one of the survivors come in and laid into him. What tends to happen instead, I bet they come in with that intention, but they see him, then they go "whaat' and wait a sec, realize that he's doing it for the meme and... 9/10 times they end up a follower and when they have the points? You find them redeeming a "Toxic Chainsaw Massacre" game.

What are you even on about, I never said anything about face camping the only thing I said was slugging as the last survivor, no one likes being bled out on the floor for 2 minutes for no reason just because the killer is mad, you’re clearly an entitled killer main

Again dh was easy to bait out but that wasn't the problem it was If you get the senero where pallet is nearby press e to not die when you should of

Yeah I’m aware, but I don’t really care about dead hard rn don’t want to have an entire argument about it lol

with all those aura perks, it's really easy to learn. it's just that before there was only murmur, but now deadlock and 3 auras make it as simple and effective as possible.

Hopefully we see some change in the future, luckily haven’t been going against too many nurses lately so I’m not too bothered by it, just a little annoying when they do come up

  • @LobbyDodgerLeonidas said:

Lol of course a "killer player" that says you could just perfectly counter DH by waiting it out would say that MFT is fine and not even noticeable lmao

It’s my opinion 🤷‍♂️ I’ve been playing since 2018 and never had an issue with dh, but if you did I guess that’s on you for not playing well enough

  • @Shroompy said:

The only thing I think needs to go is the Endurance effect, that right there should be attached to Buckle Up next mid chapter. A speed boost and an Endurance effect have no synergy together and I have no idea why those 2 effects are under 1 perk

Other than that, perk is fine.

I agree, the buckle up change makes no sense with we’re gonna live forever and mft, since it’s basically those two (endurance effect) combined together, if this buckle up change goes through then mft and wgtlf should both be tweaked for the endurance effect (in my opinion) but most of these threads I’m seeing is people just mainly complaining about the 3% haste, you wouldn’t even be able to use the endurance if the killer doesn’t slug

but yeah all in all I agree the two effects make zero sense combined with each other

  • @LobbyDodgerLeonidas said:

Because really good loopers are already hard to catch as it is. Add in MFT, and chases take long enough that you can't keep up with gens so you're practically guaranteed an endgame where they'll also have Hope, so you're double #########. No one cares about Megheads using MFT and it doing nothing because they aren't using it, they're using sprint burst. It's juicers using MFT and breaking the game just like with both previous iterations of DH

Dead hard wasn’t even broken, it was as easy as waiting it out and most survivors would just dh into a tree, but that’s another argument to be made, mft gives you maybe one more loop on a pallet if you’re lucky, and anyone who’s slower than a 115% killer shouldn’t be looping like that anyways, again it is barely noticeable for me when I play killer and I’ve never had problems with it before

  • @Sharby said:

You're about to get like several essays in this thread about the perk so I hope you're prepared.

It’s fine, I’m not even biased in my opinion because I do play both sides and have gone against mft many times

  • @KingOfGhost said:

What i mean is if survivors don't like the map or the killer or anything they can die on the hook and end the game right there and then. But killers have to play the game. So what if killers have something similar like opening the exit gate at any time they want it? If they do so no perk they have that activated by end game collapse and survivors are rewarded with an additional 15k blood points. This way if killers don't want to play the game for any reason they can end it fast just like survivors can.

What is your thought on that?

Not a fan of it, if anything it’ll just give facecamping bubba in basement an advantage if they can force survivors out of the game with a hook on, besides that it’s boring to load into a match and loop the killer a few times and have them get mad and end the game, not fun on either sides, the killer can dc if they want so badly and take the penalty, plus killers would exploit this to lower their mmr, just doesn’t work

  • @Pavel_Ch said:

always, when I communicate with the main nurses, and this is at least 20 people, they say that they are satisfied with the current state of the nurse, she does not need nerf, and at the same time they themselves note that after the last change she has become stronger. the only thing that affected her was "exposed" perks. but this is not enough. she needs a base speed of 4.4 and 1 blink. addons could give her 4.6 speed and second blink

Yeah most nurse mains are going to argue she’s fine the way she is because they want their free win every game, she really doesn’t take much skill at all to master, literally first match after not touching nurse for 3 years was a 4k, she’s very easy to learn and use, she definitely still needs tweaking

there is no counter to MFT, its a flat out free 3% and a free Endurance (I guess to some people ... healing others is a ... cost?)

The counter is using things that cause exhaustion, if you think 3% haste is making you lose killer games then you’re probs just a bad killer, never had a problem with mft as killer

  • @Reinami said:

The problem with made for this isn't that it is really OP all the time. It definitely is too powerful when combined with other movement speed effects, and against killers that already struggle like trapper, pig, sadako etc. It just makes their lives much worse than it already is. Basically, against the top tier killers like nurse spirit and blight, they aren't gonna care about it. But the lower tier killers are struggling against it.

Secondly, it doesn't have any downside and the survivor doesn't have to do anything to earn it. To "earn" it, you just get hit. You get rewarded for getting hit. How many killer perks have been constantly nerfed because the killer gets rewarded for "losing" like NOED? It is going to activate 100% of the time in a chase against any killer that doesn't have an instadown, exhaustion causing addons are in very short supply these days, and last so short that they aren't going to help very much.

I'd argue even that other perks the survivors have access to have downsides, have to be earned, or about punishing the killer for doing something specific such as camping, or tunneling, or the survivor has to earn it, like the current dead hard.

There are also so many really strong buildings in the game that have really tight loops that already are hard to deal with, that the extra movement speed turns them into infinites. Main building window on garden of joy for example, is an actual infinite against some killers when made for this is in play.

Stop complaining, mft is counter able with the thousands of perks that cause exhaustion and killer addons that cause exhaustion, if you have problems with it then run those, genetic limits in itself completely nullifies mft endurance ability

  • @Dreamnomad said:

How exactly was this a pig nerf? I think the intention was for this to be a buff to Hangman's Trick.

its still going to be a bad perk, hangman’s trick was a way to counter sabo’ing even if it wasn’t that good, this change just makes it worse anyways

  • @THE_Crazy_Hyena said:

We sure need more walking nurses, they are really fun to play against

A mix of blinks and walking is def more fun to play against rather than blink blink you’re downed in two seconds

  • Made for this doesn’t need a nerf, it’s easily counterable with anything that causes exhaustion and there’s a lot of perks that do that, the 3% haste isn’t a whole lot, and anyone who says mft with hope is broken hope gives you 7% haste permanently once all gens are powered which is more than twice the bonus mft gives you, the speed with mft on its own is hardly noticeable

  • 2k is a draw, if you have extra hooks on the other survivors then I’d say you won the match more than they did

the good thing is that the finisher mori is coming, and this "strategy" will no longer exist.

Even with it killers will still slug you to bm for two minutes and kill you last second, so it’s still going to happen

I've been playing Nurse with Spasmodic Breathe, where you have 2 blinks and upon hitting a blink, you move at 4.6m/s for 60s and are unable to blink during this time. I combine with Sloppy Butcher, Jolt, Nurse's Calling and Tinkerer, as after my first blink I'm a regular m1 killer.

It's actually a lot of fun, I don't have the skill to pull crazy blinks repeatedly, but this means I can hit a blink once (Tinkerer helps gets the first hit), then finish off a down using normal gameplay means.

Survivors similarly get to use windows and pallets again, chases last longer compared to God Nurse, but I can use m1 perks to make up the difference.

I'm not saying everyone would be happy to be forced to play this way... and she'd probably get mulched vs. A competant gen rush SWF... but I've seem suggestions to make her a charge killer like Myers or Oni, where she gets her power for a brief time, then switches off and has to rebuild it.

This play style gives some insight into how that would play out... I rather like it myself 😅

That’s not a bad idea, just tired of dreading every match against nurse since my mmr is so high and every single one I go against gets my whole team down within two minutes

I went against a nurse with that 4.6 add on and it was actually a lot more fun to go against, since nurse can get a free hit basically and after that have a little counter play with being able to use pallets and windows more effectively

but base nurse with wall hacks (all aura reading perks) just makes it almost impossible to play against her since she can tp to your exact location seeing you through walls, and I don’t want to have to bring distortion every single match just to counter nurse

  • @ShinobuSK said:

But what to the game is different than a killer being toxic even though they can hook you and you bringing Boil Over and running to a dead zone or high point with no hooks? As much as being slugged sucks, if you say are doing the challenge to kill all players in the match by any means on a killer you never play (like the current Hillbilly one, which I haven't even bothered to do cause I know I would be playing Billy the rest of the event and more than likely still not get it without resorting to "toxic" methods, which I don't find fun and that's why I wouldnt' do it) , sometimes it's not being toxic it's making sure you get the annoying challenge done.

What it boils down to is that everyone has their own ideas about what is "toxic" and "bm" and while I do agree that leaving a survivor slugged all match is toxic, some may not. I also more than likely don't agree with you on other things you find toxic and you would not agree with the things I find toxic.

I think you’re completely failing to understand what I’m saying here, slugging on the ground when you are the LAST survivor when there is so many viable hooks to be placed on is literally bming, just had a match where an oni slugged me for two minutes straight when there was plenty of hooks he could have taken me to, I even crawled underneath one, that’s called toxicity, again if you are the last survivor and the killer does this add an option to bleed yourself out so you can move on to the next game, instead of wasting my time because a killer is mad they got looped too hard

  • @AbsolutGrndZer0 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3473757#Comment_3473757

As much as I hate it, sometimes that's necessary. Especially with how meta Boil Over has been lately. I still hate that perk more than any other perk due to how those that bring it are those that tend to know how to abuse it. No perk should be a guaranteed escape, but for many survivors it is because they bring a map offering or get lucky on the map roulette.

Again, I’m talking about the killers who want to be toxic and bm you for two minutes on the ground, if no unbreakable then at least add an option for survivors to sacrifice themselves to the entity like the endgame does if they are the last one remaining, at least at that point survivors won’t have to be bm’d on the ground and move on to the next game

  • @NotAnotherDoctor said:

It's interesting because Xbox has its own set of video game stats on the console itself.

So for dbd, if you're on Xbox, you can see time played, number of survivors sacrificed, number of matches escaped, how many bloodpoints you've earned through out your entire dbdb experience, how many health states of others you've healed

I feel like information like this should be commonplace for all games

I used to play on Xbox so I appreciated the stats it did give, but for pc we have absolutely nothing, so it would be nice for an extra option for stats, since the data is tracked it is entirely possible for them to do so

  • @Viktor1853 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3473757#Comment_3473757

You are right about that but slugging in itself is not toxic

I know that, that’s why I said I think he meant what I said, killer slugging and going after another survivor is a viable strategy for sure

  • @Viktor1853 said:

Slugging is not toxic just because you don't like it

I’m pretty sure he means when the killer just stands on top of you and let’s you bleed out when there’s plenty of hooks available, that is toxicity and you should get a unbreakable if the killer is just standing on top of you or near you

  • How is mft an issue? The 3% haste isn’t a whole lot, they may be able to greed a loop once more than usual but that’s about it, and it’s easily countered by using things that causes exhaustion to survivors, genetic limits makes the endurance effect you get from mft impossible to get, and it removes the haste, if you’re saying mft is what’s making you lose your games then you’re probably just not very good, run genetic limits if it’s that much of an issue
