If there's other survivors still in the match then I can kinda get it that they're 'wasting the killer's time' so that the other survivors have time to open the other gate or heal up, but when all survivors are at the gates or have already escaped, there's no real reason besides to be toxic.
"I wanted to give the killer some extra BP by letting them hit me" - Firstly the killer barely gets any BP from just hitting a survivor or even downing em, and that category is the easiest to max out anyhow. Also the vast majority of survivors run out when the killer gets anywhere close to them anyway.

DS doesn’t actually function well as an anti-tunnel. Unless a very large percentage of the players are using DS, then mathematically, the killer is better off immediately picking up survivors, and risking the DS.
This is true because if a killer hesitates to pick up a survivor because they might have DS, but it turns out that survivor didn’t have DS, then the killer has just wasted time.
Therefore, killers should look at “should I immediately pick up a survivor” as a probability over a large number of games. And if the majority of the pickups don’t result in a DS, then the killer is better off just picking survivors up whenever they want.
The only way DS could actually function as anti-tunnel, is if the killer knew when a survivor had an active DS. This would signal to the killer there is a 100% chance they could eat a DS, and therefore should hesitate to pick up that survivor.
The issue with this is that it would punish those who don't have DS even more. Because the killer would 100% know you don't have DS so will always just pick up and hook again in all cases

Her perks are pretty bad. They have synergy with each other, obviously, but even then there's still no reason to ever want to run them over any even vaguely meta build. They also don't really have much synergy with existing perks, but you could just slot in an exhaustion perk I guess.
The Invocation takes far too long for it's effect, not to mention being Broken for the rest of the match AND blocked gens not even getting the BNP added. That said, if a much stronger Invocation comes out eventually, and assuming they'll work like boons, it may be worthwhile bringing Weaving Spiders along with an actual good Invocation, similar to back when CoH was really strong, it wasn't as bad bringing the weaker boons. Currently though it's just too weak. Buffing it however could result in it being awful to play against so I dunno, I just don't think an effect like that should be ingame at all.
The Heal-In-Basement is not terrible, but it's basically a slightly faster Self-Care but you have to run to the basement any time you wanna heal, which will often negate the time saved. Self-Care isn't a great perk but I'd say it's probably better than Sable's. Also if the killer realises you have it and checks basement they're pretty much gurenteed a hit, which will mean a down if you didn't finish your heal in time.
The Unhook-in-Basement is decent but if you're NOT running her other perks and spending time in basement a lot, it's pretty rare the killer will hook you there. If you run right towards basement and loop around it whenever you're in chase, the killer will likely guess you have it and just hook you somewhere else. Also with Pain Res being as popular as it is, killers have even LESS reason to ever hook in basement. While Deli has a requirement, it's still FAAAAR more likely to actually get good value than Sable's perk.
Basically they're not that good, and the slightly better non-invocation ones have existing perks that are outright better, or at best just as good. Yes I didn't get into the killer aura aspect but that's not reeeeally likely to get nearly enough value to lift the perks all that much, especially in solo queue.
-
I haven't played around with it yet but it seems to be a slightly more consistant Dark Devotion, since you just kick a gen instead of having to injure the obsession.
I'd still argue that Trail or Torment is better after it's recent buffs.
-
It's lit from the start of the game and requires at least 3 hooks before it starts really doing anything, and at least 5 hooks to get stupidly strong.
Even with Undying that only requires two hex totems to be cleansed and then it's gone and two dead perks the killer then doesn't have.
The moment they get their first insta-down from it, all the survivors get alerted it's there and should be dropping everything to cleanse it.
-
To be fair I'd rather that then we all die at 5 gens and get no BP.
-
BPS are really rare in the bloodweb and many people have ran out of Terrormisu. It really is that simple for most people.
-
Yes, it saves cosmetics for characters you don't own. When you eventually unlock them you'll have all the cosmetics you've unlocked already.
-
It'll keep your MMR low which means chiller, and usually funner games.
-
I've had a couple of friends who I introduced to DBD recently stop playing completely after only a couple of weeks playing this game.
Even with me there to help them there's FAAAAR too steep of a learning curve for new players, especially survivors. You're expected to learn all killer powers, how to counter them, all the killer perks and how to deal with them, all the survivor perks so you know what your teammates may be running, all the maps, all the tiles, items, bloodwebs, prestiging, rifts, tomes, events, and that's assuming all the games even go normally.
Once you've played a few games and you're out of "New player MMR", you're thrown RIGHT against much better killers who you have no chance against, and loads of tunneling.
It's a wonder anyone sticks with the game.
-
The issue is that you only have 4 perk slots so you can't run ALL the perks that help reduce annoying aspects of the game.
Also I -would- like to actually use some other perks sometimes to have some variety.
-
Hug tech needed to go because it made Blight even stronger, and he really doesn't need that. Crouch tech needs to go and Pluto tech… eh, maybe.
-
DS with a 3 second stun is still a strong perk but only for top level survivors. They know where to get downed in order to get use out of the short stun even against really good killers.
For the majority of players though, they just go down wherever they happen to go down, and usually that's in a place where the killer is going to down you right afterwards again. Even worse when it comes to bad loopers, like myself, no matter where they go down, they're likely just gonna get insta-downed afterwards.
A 5 second stun is much easier to get value out of no matter the player's skill level and no matter where they end up using it.
Now I will say I don't think the solution to tunnelling should be perks, especially a single perk, and especially a single perk that's locked behind paid DLC. However, if BHVR wants DS to be the big thing everyone should use to actually combat tunnelling, it needs to be usable by all skill levels.
-
WoO should be nerfed slightly to be fair, it's a crutch perk that makes survivors a fair bit better in chase than they otherwise would be without it. Even bad loopers can just run from pallet to pallet to window to pallet against many killers.
-
Maybe wait until it's actually available to test out first? We don't really know how it's gonna work out in real games.

Im gonna stop you at "if matchmaking" thats a matchmaking issue not perk issue. Putting someone leagues better than someone who cant loop SHOULD ALWAYS result in the better person winning. And as for corrupt it barely does anything and at this point… I don't think its even worth a perk slot anymore as a result of MMR. If it was back in 2020-2022 before the perk change yeah because DH for distance existed and arguably more balanced maps. With the release of stuff like GoJ, Eyrie, reworked haddonfield etc, I think it's just not worth it because of the insane gen spreads.
At this point I've had more bad corrupts than good.Corrupt is ALWAYS amongst the most popular killer perks. If it barely did anything, killers wouldn't run it as overwhelmingly as they do.
Yes it -can- not do much depending on spawn locations, but it usually wastes a lot of time at the start of the match, and drastically lowers the chance of 3 gens being completed during the first chase.

If you arent completing 3 gens by the end of first chase then thats on you or your team given how every reworked year 7 map didn't have their problems fixed. So 4 people with only 2 gens to complete and spread out… that is 100% on your team if your team ends up losing in that situation.
I mean if matchmaking puts a really good killer against survivors who can't loop that well then first chase is gonna be way too short to complete any gens.
Plus Corrupt is really popular and usually ensures no one starts right next to a gen so they don't even get started for a while.

Care to explain why?
If you are going against blights hug teching, you are probably high MMR, meaning you should be able to deal with it. Do you see blights winning constantly in comp, because it certainly isn't happening as much as say a nurse does.
If you are average MMR, you aren't going against blights who even know what hug teching is. Or if they do, they do it poorly.
We all know matchmaking in this game is pretty dire. While it didn't happen -that- often, I do occasionally get matched with blights who can hug tech well and I'm awful as survivor.
-
It's not free but it is too strong for the ease of use. I remember when it got changed and everyone said it was a dead perk, but it's the strongest gen regression perk in the game still.
-
There are some killers that punish shift + W so you can always play those.
-
Terminus is a crutch perk? Blood Warden is a crutch perk? REMEMBER ME?!
I think we've reached the point where anything that only does something at endgame is a crutch perk :p
Personally I only consider NoeD and WoO as crutch perks currently. Distortion and Ultimate Weapon are real close though.
-
I guess I'll leave it till last and then just hope for a farming killer.
-
Corrupt is one of the strongest killer perks in the game :p

Hit 10 survivor(s) within 30 seconds of them being revealed by an aura reading ability.
Hook 2 different survivors with 60 seconds. Do this 5 times.
Down 5 survivors affected by a status effect that you inflicted.
Some of these are crazy
These are all pretty easy challenges, especially for the fourth page of a tome. I mean the first one I completed in a single game.

I mean the luck thing could be changed to something simple like getting a better item from a chest or that item having a chance of having an add-on attached.
There's already a perk that adds addons to items you find in chests, AND a seperate perk that increases luck, so I'm guessing they wouldn't just give them the same effect. But yeah I do agree they should rework luck and change Slippery Meat

The second Snowman event was killer-sided though and while the void event was good for survivors, it didn’t stink for killers either. I’d say it was fairly balanced. Events usually favor killer though.
Fair, I was just picking up on their point of "every dbd event is killer sided" which is blatently untrue.
-
@Batraidyn said:
What do you expect lol every dbd event is killer sided. I mean look at the last anniversary survivors get to spawn insta break pallets were if the killer respects it he gets a free hit and the killer could remotely break pallets and literally instantly down someone
The Void event was more survivor-sided as they could just dip and hide in the Void whenever and could even teleport there midchase to try and lose the killer.
Also the original snowman event was heavily survivor-sided.
-
I mean they stopped 3-genning being that effective so who cares?
Eventually they'll run out of kicks and then you just play safe and win.
-
With the aura reveal it doesn't need any further nerfs. The only current issue with it is if a survivor gets hooked next to it but you're suggestion doesn't really fix that.
-
It's a really weird mechanic that isn't explained very well in the event information and is not even close to intuitive.
Also, even if you do make blood zones, the extra BP you earn for doing stuff in them is barely even an increase. You literally earn more BP just repeatedly taking Droplets and putting them back into the same Blood Pool and waiting till you can loot it again. So weird.
Even the Void was better than this.
-
Aha, thank you, never seen anyone use it before so thought it might be a bug.
-
Nurse probably.
-
Lets remember that for a killer winstreak you only need one really skilled player playing at their best, whereas for a 4-man SWF winstreak you need 4 really good players to be available to play at the same time, live close enough to each other where ping isn't an issue, and to all be consistantly playing at their best. Obviously killer winstreaks are much more accessable and thus are going to be attempted FAR more often.
Also, the 4-man SWF winstreak had comp rules in place, only brought addonless items which they'd looted in a map, no dupe perks and I don't even think they ever brought map offerings.
Still, it's crazy that they lost the streak to a Trickster of all killers, fair enough one of the best Trickster players in the world, but still, you'd figure it'd have been a god-tier Nurse.
-
When I tell my fellow survivors that I'm bringing the perk, they all leave the lobby :(
-
Why Wraith kinda...
-
I mean he may well have just been tunneling you out because that's the most effective way of playing the game.
Most of the time it isn't personal it's just that they were gonna tunnel anyone and this game that was you.
-
I got some use out of it in solo queue a couple of times but only because the killer wasn't great and spent ages getting downs. Against a similarly-skilled killer you just waste far too much time.
Also, yes, even if you win you get barely any BP for that match because you literally get nothing for Invocating.
-
I mean I don't think anyone was holding the game hostage. Mikaela was hiding for hatch, expecting that you would be killed by Bubba like in a regular game.
You and Bubba just messed around because the game was basically already over at that point.
Mikaela -could- have done the gens, Bubba -could- have killed you, you -could- have done the gens as well, but I wouldn't say anyone was really at fault.
'Holding the game hostage' is a phrase massively overused. It means that someone is basically forcing the game into a situation where the other side CANNOT progress. Everyone could have done something to progress the game in this case.

Buddy it was meant to make killers not camp if they get the same result from moving a couple steps back the system is poorly made. Nothing has changed what good is a system that makes it so you have to look directly at a killer while they prevent you from playing the game the results are overall still the same
It wasn't made to stop camping in general and BHVR explicitly said that before it was released. They said it was SOLELY to affect face-camping and no other forms of camping, which it does well.
Proxy camping always was FAR more common and FAR more effective, but sadly it wasn't ever supposed to do anything about it.
-
Ultimate Weapon is a big problem because it completely counters ALL stealth play unless you're running Calm Spirit, that's the ONLY counterplay in the entire game. There's nothing you can do basekit to counter it.
-
There's garbage-tier perks on both sides that they're either never touched, or buffed them in a way that doesn't make them any better.
Or made them OP like Buckle Up.

Everyone jumps to assuming it was cheese. There was a lot of interaction here that had nothing to do with cheese at all. As soon as you defend box auras people immediately assume you just want to tunnel a person out following them from box to box..that’s not what’s happening.
What other advantage does seeing box auras give? You do it to patrol boxes to stop someone from being able to take their trap off and put them in an unwinnable situation.
You can STILL do that now but it's at least a fair bit harder now.
-
BHVR knows that characters like Sable and Vittorio sell a lot better than characters like Haddie.
Yes, it's not really 'fair', but it is what it is, and they're gonna focus on making skins that they know will sell. Same reason characters like Jeff, Jane and Adam rarely get new skins, few people play them and fewer spend money on them.
-
Different platforms and different regions change prices at different times. Could be the same price in one place and have just gone up in another, depends how much profit they're making and if they need to hike prices up.
-
It certainly feels really rough to go against a good killer who ends chases in under 20 seconds and keeps getting pain reses and pops and keeps blocking off gens. Makes ya feel like there's no point in even trying to repair gens.
-
It's a decent perk, unlike other 'bad perks' you're pretty much guarenteed to get use out of it every game. The few times I see people forced to use it for an archive or random build, they usually end up being surprised at how much use they get out of it.
Also, newer players don't have much access to info perks and so Spies can be one of the better ones they have.
-
Eeeh, technically it's not really fair because the killer can't do anything against it and it should probably be removed. That said it's very rare that it actually matters so it's not a big deal currently.
-
He already has a good shirtless skin though, think of the non-shirtless men.
-
I always liked Hawkins, I much prefer indoor maps even as survivor. Probably my least favourite indoor map though.
-
If a 0k becomes a 3k thanks to NOED it means the survivors misplayed REALLY badly.
NOED is a strong perk but if the game was gonna be a 0k, NOED will usually only make it a 1k at best, and often the survivors will just cleanse the totem, get the save and it's still a 0k.
4 survivors still alive in endgame and you're chasing someone who isn't dead on hook? Unless you hook RIGHT next to the hex, survivors can easily get a 4-escape.
I'll admit if you can down someone right before the last gen gets done, hook em and then surprise the first survivor with NOED, that can help start a snowball, but again, there's still 2 survivors to find a hex and then try and at least save one of the others for a 3-escape.
