Holding the game hostage?
Recently i had a round against a good Flick Bubba who manges to kill my team besides the Michaela (very sneaky) relativly quick. At this point there were 3 genertors left.
Bubba and i had some chases and eventually ended at the killer shack, where he started to swing at one side of the entrance. I knew what was going on and went back to the other door and we started to do 1v1s mid trial. It was actually a blast and something you dont get very often in your average lobbies.
Well, we did this basically across the map for at least 15 minutes... during that time, Michaela did not do any gens and was hiding.
Eventually, i showed the killer he should hook and kill me, so she can get hatch or exit gate (what eventually happend).
Michaela was not very happy with the game and reported both of us for holding the game hostage and me for "working with the killer".
So, what is the situation now? She could have done gens and actually escaped, not even interupted? And me doing just4fun chases is not really working with the killer, right?

I don’t believe you were working with the killer here. The Mikaela probably didn’t know you’d be in chase or farming for so long. She became suspicious. She may have mistakenly believed the Bubba didn’t down you because you were working together searching for her.
Bubba downed me multible times and let me struggle out of their grasp. Then we went to a different part of the map and we repeated the process. I also got downed one time where she could see what is going on.
You didn’t hold the game hostage, she did. You were keeping the killer occupied and she could have progressed the match by doing gens.
If you body blocked her in a corner with no way for her to escape, then you’d get in trouble. Same for if you lead the killer to her, since that’s what is considered working with the killer.
You did nothing wrong and this character just makes me hate Mikaela even more.
No one in the match did anything to progress the game for 15 minutes.
Everyone is guilty for extending the game beyond its expected length.
I mean I don't think anyone was holding the game hostage. Mikaela was hiding for hatch, expecting that you would be killed by Bubba like in a regular game.
You and Bubba just messed around because the game was basically already over at that point.
Mikaela -could- have done the gens, Bubba -could- have killed you, you -could- have done the gens as well, but I wouldn't say anyone was really at fault.
'Holding the game hostage' is a phrase massively overused. It means that someone is basically forcing the game into a situation where the other side CANNOT progress. Everyone could have done something to progress the game in this case.
Either both the survivors were holding the game hostage or neither.
Claudette could have worked on gens instead of waiting for hatch, sure, but the OP could have worked on gens too.
The killer either lets them repair and escape or stops them, which ends in sacrifice, bleed out, or wiggling free. If the survivor wiggles free, they hop back on gens.
This is what I do. I refuse to rat out the last survivor.
Being downed but not hooked is usually a sign that the killer wants the slug to see your aura and run straight for you.
I don't blame Mikaela for being suspicious.
you aren't working with the killer unless you show them where the other survivor is, and survivors can't hold a game hostage unless they... hide.
