I play mostly killer and I loved the snowmen. Could shoot em with Deathslinger or zap em with Doctor to deny survivors their cosmetic unlocks :)
-
Swamp is the most in need with Red Forest close behind.
Garden of Joy and Eyrie of Crows also suck but they ain't gonna do anything with newer maps so meh.
-
Don't see why there isn't just an option to disable the filter.
-
Sounded garbage from the moment it was leaked. Can't see it ever being useful.
-
Pentimento isn't a huge deal either though?
-
While getting better at playing him will certainly mean you get a lot more hits with his power, almost everyone agrees his hitbox is way too strict and in some cases outright clips through survivors.
-
I knew it was her stare straight away, can't fathom how people see anything else.
Goldwhiteblueblackdress all over again I guess.

Not complete RNG, hatch still spawns in very early on and follows the generation rules of other structures. When is the last time you've seen a hatch spawn directly next to a generator? Only on the smallest maps right?
Hatch doesn't spawn until only one survivor is left and it's complete RNG if it's nearer the survivor or killer.

hatch doesnt need a counter, its already a healthy mechanic
Unfortunatly there are archives and achievements that require the killer to get a 4k. There needs to be a counter to hatch or these will be complete RNG.
-
It sucks but it's the counter to hatch.
-
It seems really hard to reliably hit with his power so I just play him as an m1 killer :p
-
I mean the killer can tunnel for whatever reason they want.
-
I said it in the other thread but Blast Mine was already a fairly weak perk. It was fun which is why people used it, I used it on quite a few of my survivors, but it's overall effect was never -that- good in the grand sceme of things, so it's weird they decided to 'fix the bug' of being refunded if not kicked.
Meh, I used it mostly to give my solo teammates info anyway. and Wiretap is much better for that.
-
What's with the weird apostraphes at the start of your paragraphs?
-
I do agree with Otz that Lethal is a bit problematic because whenever they design an aura reading perk from now on they will have to take Lethal into account when balancing it. Not ideal.
However, they have to do that with all killer perks because of Nurse already and they don't seem to think that's an issue so...
-
Apparently Blast Mine was always supposed to work this way and it was a bug that when it's duration expired you got it back. A bug they never fixed until now.
Just seems odd because even -with- the bug it's not like it's actually that good of a perk. It was a fun perk but it didn't actually have a very strong effect.

Spirit's phase sound is pretty loud.

Holding the game hostage? Whats stopping him from doing the 2 gens and leaving?
This. If the killer knows you have a key then all they can really do is camp the hatch. The moment they leave you escape, whether they close it or not.
You however have other things you can do, gens, the gate. Even if it's just to light a fire under the killer and get them to panic and leave the hatch so you can do your archive.

Some of these comments...a smart move? Good counter? The killer is holding the game hostage because they'll fill their diaper if LE GASP, one person escapes!
Reality doesn't come naturally to a few of you.
It's not holding the game hostage though, the survivor can do the gens and leave. Heck the survivor literally has the BIGGEST gen speed buff in the entire game in Sole Survivor and STILL refused to do gens.
-
You ran a build that does nothing to help your team, likely hid at least toward the end so they died and not you, AND you ALSO waited doing nothing for 30 minutes desperate to get your archive done. I struggle to see how you're any better than the killer here.
Exactly the same logic when someone hides in a locker against a tombstone Myers to deny their achievement.

Only being able to use it once per hook instance means that you will have to leave your task, run through the map, take the risk of being hit near the hook, run back to where you were, only to stop the timer for 30 seconds. Doing it means you're not on a gen and you will likely lose more time than you gain.
If the rest of your team is not running it, it can't counter facecamping anymore.
The solution would have been either to make it so that the hooked person can reject the reassurance, and with the 40s cooldown, or to make it once per hook state with a longer duration like 60 seconds.
In that scenario the other two people are glued to gens. One person leaving a gen to use reassurance is still a net gain for survivors by a wide margin.
-
If I'm playing survivor and a fellow survivor brings RPD offering you can bet I'm cleaning the library and office totems :)
-
Yeah oddly it's easier to get on newer killers or killers you never play since the MMR isn't set and you're more likely to go against babies. And even at grade reset you pretty much have to just hope you get put against much worse survivors because you ain't getting double pips against survivors the same level as you.
Also DC's screw you over, which feels like most games sometimes :p
-
Killer adepts are like 10 times harder than survivor adepts which are basically gimmes if you play a few games with 'em. Even the hardest survivor adepts, David's and Laurie's are still way easier.
-
A lot of games don't show you your MMR though.
-
Just go after the unhooker?
-
DS and OTR should deactivate at endgame though, Reassurance shouldn't. Simple.
BT I'm kinda on the fence about but I think most people are fine with it still working in endgame.
-
Just facecamp as Bubba, it's literally the same as always for him.
-
I mean Kinship is useless in solo queue, makes sense Reassurance is too.
-
10 second BT basekit is good for solo queue though.
-
Camping Bubba doesn't care.

@ThiccBudhha said:
It will probably get nerfed to not include end game. Other than that, I imagine it would remain the same.
They tend to only deactivate perks at endgame if it gives the survivor an easy escape. This perk doesn't really do that so I can't see them treating it like DS or OTR.
-
I wish the killer had a way of leaving the match early if it's going really badly. Seems unfair survivors do. Add a bed to the basement that the killer can interact with to just go to sleep.
-
People bring up two scenarios where Self-Care is amazing:
1 - Healing is interupted by the killer, the killer goes after the other person and you now need to finish up the heal.
2 - Solo-queue teammates just refusing the heal you.
Now I admit in these two scenarios SC is really good, but how often do these two things occur? I play a -lot- of solo queue and both of these things are actually pretty darn rare. Like people go on about potato teammates but even when I get bad teammates they still usually heal me and I'm mid MMR at best. Interupting healing is not that common unless they run Nurse's which is pretty rare, and if they do they usually also run Sloppy which makes SC go back to being awful. Or the killer just goes after you so you can't finish the heal anyway.
That's ignoring the fact that CoH is -still- arguably better in these same situations (albeit not with the current totem-cleansing archive up).
Like Self-Care was already situational before the nerf and it was a -big- nerf. I just really don't understand how you can run it without Botany and still claim it's worth the perk slot. Even -with- Botany you're still better off running a med-kit, CoH or Inner Healing.
-
There's something that bugs Pharmacy out at least. When I run my full loot goblin build even when I get injured Pharmacy doesn't activate.

I hope we finally get blighted Feng and maybe blighted Mikaela. Why we still haven't gotten a tome for Feng either is beyond me.
As for killers idk. We're probably gonna get blighted trickster, artist and ghostface or something. Bhvr seems to love trickster and artist, and with the licensed nemesis and pyramid head blight from last year this opens the door for other licensed killers to get blight skins. Maybe even Micheal.
Feng already has a Blight skin.
-
This is exactly why BHVR can do whatever they want with the game and it doesn't matter how many people complain. We all buy the next DLC anyway.

Self Care is historically popular at all MMR brackets because, even though it's the slowest way to get healed, it's also the most flexible, as in you can use it to partially heal at any time, anywhere, with no preconditions or equipment needed. Consider for example how often in a game you are not directly in a chase, but also not on a gen. For instance maybe you're temporarily hiding from a killer, or scouting from a higher vantage point. Those are moments that are normally just lost time, but if you are injured and can partially heal yourself for free while you're not doing something else it's increasing your overall time efficiency. If you can squeeze out even one full heal out of all your idle time that's not a bad trade off for being able to do it while also carrying a toolbox instead of a medkit, for instance, and not having to rely on a Boon being placed or another survivor being around.
That's not to say there aren't people who waste time Self Caring to heal themselves when they could be doing something more quickly or letting another survivor heal them instead, for example. But there is value in the flexibility of the perk. (Of course, its nerf was because there was enough value pre-patch that it was a top 5 perk. It's still a popular perk, around number 10, but its usage has dropped by about half from what it was. So people still think it's valuable enough to use.)
I get that it's flexible but it's gotten nerfed so much that it's rarely going to be better than just bringing another perk. Plus if you're spending -that- much time not doing something else that you can get a full heal out of current self-care on your downtime, it just seems like you aren't playing very efficiently anyhow.
Also a lot of people bringing it are also just not bringing items period. You can run like -any- medkit instead.

Just do tracking perks
Which ones? Whispers is the only perk which sorta helps in this situation and good survivors will still be hard to find even with it.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/341774/2-hooking-every-survivor-is-the-worst-strategy
I've seen this argument before. Why target a healthy survivor instead of a survivor who's already injured, and recently unhooked?
Because pressure. If you're tunneling and the rest of the survivors are staying on gens, all your pressure is on one survivor. You're not hindering the rest of the team. They're on gens, and if the unhooked survivor can run you for long enough, you'll lose 3 gens.
But generally an injured survivor will not run you for as long as a healthy survivor so it still makes sense to go for the already injured one. Plus focusing on one survivor does force pressure. So often I see altruistic survs leaving gens and rushing to bodyblock for the tunneled survivor.
-
Survivors bang out gens and bring strong perks that makes the killer annoyed, killers tunnel/camp and bring strongs perks/addons/killers and make survivors annoyed.
-
The problem isn't that "I got it in a rift I wanna feel special"
The issue is that a bunch of people already have that skin and so wont get anything new from their prime -and- the other issue is that rift skins get added to the store eventually anyway, so if you missed it you will eventually be able to get it anyway.
-
You can go from 5 gens left to 2 gens left really quickly. There's no reason not to try to win just because it's early game. I mean that's when gens are being knocked out the fastest.
-
Dude, some streamers needed No Way Out, Remember Me -and- bodyblocking one exit gate as Twins to do this, it's really not that strong.
Plus when you're in that situation it's very unlikely you'll escape anyway.
-
Dude they reduced the grind by 75% they even said so.

I think it’s funny. I don’t mind a lobby full of clicky boys. They are honestly some of the easier teams to beat, simply because flashlights are so easy to counter, and they never do gens because they follow me trying to get saves.
Doesn't really work for Hag who loses her power if everyone has as flashlight.

I'm around tier 35 but i've mostly been mopping up other rift challenges so got less fragments.
Only have 2 survivor challenges left this rift though & about half the killer ones not a fan of playing blight.
Took me ages to get stun killer 4 times kept getting nurse, hunteress & trickster games for the most part or killers who weren't just going to walk into one for me.
That's why I just use Blast Mine for those challenges.
-
There was one time I ended up on Lery's four games in a row and only the first game was there an offering for it.
-
I've seen a theory that each game session you get assigned a pool of maps that you can end up on, which would explain why sometimes you get the same exact map multiple times in one session.

Correct, they are blocking off the stairs, entirely.
I actually had the SAME kind of build go up against me when I was playing Ghost Face. I 4K'ed their team. The trick is to let them stay on the ground when they run up there, as their auto-kill timer steadily increases. They'll end up panicking and making mistakes because the killer isn't picking them up - usually swarming in to try to revive them...but then you just down even more.
The Unbreakaboon foils that strategy though. They just boon the totem in the office nearby and they'll endlessly pick themselves up in library.
