This is why survivors make me laugh when they call you toxic for playing a way they don't like.
Most killers start off trying to play in a fun way for everyone and deal with all the crap they throw at them and suddenly start to not care anymore about playing "nice". They bring it on themselves.

The devs have also said that they fixed the game, so let's agree the devs have no idea what's good for this game.
No they're valid tactics whether you like them or not so you have to either put up with the fact that people will play that way if they want to or play something else.
-
Big chungus for the win.
-
The devs have said these are valid tactics so these changes would honestly never happen.
-
I understand their frustration but they can't be mad at the players, they need to be annoyed with the devs for designing a game where a coordinated team can slam and finish their objectives so quickly.
-
Trapper, his set up time is to much considering survivors can just disable them and have him waste his time for nothing.
-
STBFL is decent on most killers and god tier on others.
-
They'll likely all be legendary but not because of capcom, it will be down to BHVR because that will make them more money.
-
I would like more incentives for killers going against them personally. A blood point bonus depending how many members are in the team so if it was a full 4man you got a 100% bp bonus and less for 3 or 2 man SWFs.
-
Well I know which one I'm leaving till last. ππ
-
The lyrics "I'm addicted to you don't you know that you're toxic" have never been more fitting. ππ
-
If the match has gone south then I like memeing around with a legion. It's funny to get your mending down the nearly zero and then run and dead hard at them and drop to the floor. πππ
-
If you aren't to good with plague you could just chase someone infect them and then move onto the next one.
-
Just type gg wp and laugh as you watch the salt pour out of them. ππ
-
Sounds like you're not using her to her full potential tbh.
-
It's time to move to survivor or take a break bro.

Message read loud and clear, will now be sure to provide four minutes of well needed self-reflection on why people would like to play the games they've queued up for.
Get over it no ones that special that they can't wait 4 mins. I've been playing four years and this hardly ever happens so I'm not going to think I'm so overly important that my time is more valuable than anyone else's.
-
I'd say legion is the worst because that's my opinion and I'm not jumping on the Myers bad train because a content creator said so.
-
Wow 4 whole minutes, damn your time must be very important good sir.π

I think this case is special, because we are talking about an assimetrical game. If you are playing LOL or FIFA for example, itΒ΄s just you vs a guy o squad that plays on the same conditions as you and can use the same strategies to get the victory. So you just do your best and try to win.
With DBD is different, because as killer, u are the only player on the game that can reomove someone from the game not allowing him to particpate and therefore not having fun. 90% of your time on a hook itΒ΄s not what IΒ΄d call a fun game. Imo game should reinforce all the players to explore the map, enter on chases and having interaction between then. Penalizing strategies like tunneling, camping and gen rushing.
Just one question. As an spectator of DBD games, tell me....do you prefer watching frenetic matches full of good chases or you prefer watching 1 guy on the hook, killer stand by next to him and other guys clicking m1 to repair gens? In terms of playing is the same. More action = more fun. ThatΒ΄s the essentia of every game. You play it because you have fun playing it.
People have different opinions on what is fun and how they want to play, you can't say someone can't play a certain way because you don't find it fun.
When you play online games you open yourself up to play against people who are going to play however they like as long as it's within the rules, that's just how it is so if someone doesn't like that then they should stick to offline games.
-
I never realised the correct way to play online games was to care about other peoples experience. I'm gunna have to write a letter to the devs of all the other online games I've played because they're all clearly doing it wrong. ππ

Nailed it! That is what made the game creepy, but now it is basically gone. It is probably the first topic on my extremely long list of reasons why I absolutely despise the Realm Beyond.
Wish we could have those maps back, somehow.
Same, even though it didn't particularly make the game any scarier, it still had a much better feel when everything was a lot darker instead of the bright sunny maps we have now lol.
-
Play both sides so you don't get locked into bias opinions and thinking everyone on the other side is bad, toxic or entitled.

You are right on this one, my friend, but the creepy ambience we used to have certainly helped, even for those way past 100 hours.
Yeah I agree that the maps did have a darker and creepier feel back then.
-
When you get past 100 hours you realise this isn't a horror game. Survivors are going to do things like bodyblock because it helps the team and it's a smart way to play, we can't expect them to play like rank 20 bots forever.
-
You'll have to play in a SWF if you want reliable teammates, otherwise you have to accept that when you play with random players they're going to play however they want regardless of if it's productive or not.
-
Ad much as tunnelling is a valid tactic and part of the game we all know it isn't fun for a lot of people and survivors need to have counters to it.
If they didn't a lot of people just would stop playing because without perks like bt and ds playing survivor would be pretty bad in all honesty.
-
π΄π΄π΄
-
I had this with someone on the stairs but luckily they moved so I could pick them up. I've had this happen once as survivor to and it was at the shack as well so I feel like there's a problem on that structure because it hasn't happened anywhere else.
-
Pig is a decent killer, the only thing that really needs looking at is her trap RNG.
-
People are going to play however they like so long as it's within the rules to do so. If this is an issue I would suggest offline games against bots is a more suited game to play.
-
The change has done a lot more good than bad and is something the community has been asking about for years now. Just try your best and if you lose just take the L and move onto the next match.

Right, this is known, but, either way, just because a problem may never go away entirely doesn't mean there aren't solutions to make that problem less frequent and impactful on gameplay.
They haven't done a single thing to redesign the functionality of Plague's vomit - which was created to work on P2P connections - on dedicated servers. Dead Hard is being touched because of the same issue.
So, yes, the devs can try their best, and they should. That's what we're requesting and hoping for.
They have worked hard and improved it a lot over the years but they can't control peoples connections so they can only do so much.
-
You're new so your opinion will change several times throughout the course of playing the game if you stick with it. I have been playing for 4 years and what I thought at the beginning vs what I think now is completely different.
-
@MeltingPenguins said:
Because just like you think that tunneling, camping and slugging are legit tactics because getting a 4k at all costs is the way the game must be played, these guys think that genrushing etc are the way the game must be played.
congratz, you are complaining about your image in the mirror
Where did he ever say that in his post though? I'm confused lol.

The point of this post is to talk about Plague and how she needs some effort put towards adjusting the functionality of her vomit on dedicated servers. So, yes, I understand what you mean, but we're talking about Plague, not other killers, and how it has impacted her the most by far. This happens from the survivor POV as well, something I have not experienced against other killers.
Not sure what else to say. They haven't made an effort yet to fix it, and so we can't really determine what kind of fix is possible. We'd just like to see something happen. Not saying other killers don't need fixing.
It's something that will always be a problem no matter what because different factors go into latency like the servers and the players connection.
That's why when big gaming competitions happen they usually get the players all together and play on a private server so they don't have that issue. The devs can try their best but only do so much when it comes down to latency being an issue.
-
Everyone's usually pretty nice when they start this game and then it's just a test of time whether they fall into the toxic cycle or not lol.

You're really on about getting over a situation that I concluded 15 hours ago.
Your thoughts have been made clear four times. To use your own constructive criticism, get over it and move on.
Surprised you haven't just wrote a letter to the manager Karen.

Your own subjective experiences and philosophies differ from mine. The report feature exists for a reason, and I used it for its purpose. If someone is going to exploit unintended vulnerabilities in the game's design for the specific purpose of ruining my experience and wasting my time, I'm going to report them for doing so. If that makes myself or anyone else who has reported such things a lesser person in your eyes, so be it.
So you've reported them now get over it. It's not that serious it's just a video game.
-
I think it's time.

Almost as crazy as people being allowed to enjoy their games the way they were designed to be.
You had one match in I'm sure many where this happened. I've been playing for years and this rarely happens so just get over it and move on to the next match.

I honestly had no idea that so many people were cool with survivors screwing other players. This legitimately surprises me, but it probably shouldn't.
Its crazy how people don't take a video game that seriously.

You would actively sabotage the match for someone on your team - in deliberate violation of not only the rules but the entire concept of the game - because you didn't happen to like what you decided to be gameplay that was insufficient to your own personal standards?
You sound fun π

Games also take years to develop. Just because the game wasn't out, doesn't mean that they couldn't have been working on it all this time.
Okay.

This is specifically VERY common for plague though. It's not common at all to have your weapon phase through a survivor. This can happen to Plague, with both red and green vomit, every game, multiple times. Huntress hatchets can do the same, but not NEARLY as often as it does with vomit. Vomit was hit the hardest by the server changes and they haven't done anything about it.
Latency impacts all killers, I've been playing for over 4 years and I've had it happen with all of them. Any range killer is going to be affected slightly more though because it takes longer for the hit to register, but while latency is an issue in online gaming there's only so much that can be done to fix it as there are multiple factors that contribute towards it.
