It's pretty rare to go against someone that wants to 4 man slug. If I do go against that I just recover and then go on YouTube, make a drink or a snack, click on the forums for a few mins and then just move onto the next match if I don't get picked up.
-
Sounds like someone just got wrecked by a SWF team lmao.
-
I've been having fun with Trickster but he's the weaker of the two. Plus plague has better perks.
-
The toxicity in end game chat is gross however what they were doing in game was playing smart as a team.
-
If Friday the 13th was able to do an offline mod then dbd has no excuse.

No, back when the community wasn't so toxic.
It use to be way worse. Type Ochido into YouTube and watch his videos from 3 years ago, now that was toxic lol.

It was way too weak back then. But the new effect it has rn is too strong.
Yeah it was weak before but if they made it so it didn't have a time limit and you just didn't leave blood when injured i think that would have been a better change. I would use it then.
-
It should go back to how it was apart from remove the time limit.
-
I think they'll give us Claire and Chris Redfield and then cash in on the legendary skins with all the others.
-
I want a big daddy from bioshock.
-
You get banned for bodyblocking someone in a corner etc so they aren't able to play the game.
-
Only newbies see it so it's not bad because they likely will go down quickly regardless.
-
It's better they understand what the games all about from the start, instead of when they're in to deep and can't turn back lol.
-
One of the best things about console is the fact you can silence the salty entitled players from sending you messages. I hated it when I was on pc so I hope to god they don't ever move it to console.

I swear I can never down anyone at shack with trickster.
huntress and deathslinger have no issue though
Yeah, when I was playing him before without bamboozle I would just break chase everytime someone went there. It just takes way to long to get a decent survivor there, so if you try you pretty much lose the rest of the gens lol.
-
Bamboozle on trickster is pretty much necessary tbh, especially at shack.
-
In the lobby would mean most killers if not all would just dodge.
I think it would be good for both killers and solos to be able to see after the match if it was a SWF they were playing with though.
-
They went to far with the change. A better one would have been to just take the duration away from blood trails and have it the whole match when injured.
-
I'm so use to it now that I just shrug and say well that's dbd lol.
-
If a killer has played really well all match and hooked everyone and even killed one or two other survivors I really don't mind getting hit with noed.
The only time it annoys me is if I've outplayed a killer all game without even getting hit and they've pretty much struggled to get anyone and then get hit by it.
-
Agreed, there are some people that only play one role in this game so you should be able to choose a preference in the menu.
Either only killer, only survivor or 50/50 for people that play both.
Right now the majority that I get are for killer and very few survivor ones.

People need to stop with this attitude
Either expect your opponant to go wide open and go wide open yourself and accept you can't beat everybody, or get the ######### out
So it's okay for survivors to rush gens but not for killers to rush kills.....interesting 🤔
-
That's most killers now though, no matter what killer they're playing as.
-
Iron will, dead hard, adrenaline and ds.
-
Gen speeds. Killers know that if they get a weak link out of the match ASAP they have a much better advantage of being able to 4K.
-
That playstyle doesn't have anything to do with the killer though. I've just left a match with a spirit that hardcore tunnelled from the start. It doesn't matter how strong the killer is some people just like playing like that, that's fair enough though they can play however they like.

I don't think that's a good idea, as that would make prestige only benefit the character you're prestiging. This wouldn't improve the grind going forward.
I don't see how it wouldn't help though? I got all perks unlocked on my characters before prestiging any of them so this would have helped a lot to reduce the grind when p3ing them.
Ive been playing this game for years and I've P3'd all my survivors, but I only have all perks unlocked at tier 3 on 2 of them lol.
-
I think a good change to prestige would be:
- unlock all perks you already got on a survivor at tier 1 at prestige 1.
- At prestige 2 unlock all perks you got to tier 2 at tier 2 and any you got to tier 1 at tier 1.
- At prestige 3 unlock all perks at tier 3 that you got to tier 3 and all perks at tier 1 and 2 that you unlocked at that tier.
This wouldn't eliminate the grind, however it would make it more bare able that it is atm. Just an idea though.

I can understand why you dodge, but why do you check their stream if you can already know people will talk smack either way. I think most people (even no-streamers) talk smack about others, only they talk that online in a stream mostly nobody watches.
As killer I usually dodge TTV because they are always annoying trying to get "content" for their stream. The "normal" TTV's I can count on one hand, who are positive. Most of the time they're not even good and completely ignore objectives and try to bait you as killer.
The one time I didnt see in time there is a TTV, I mostly ignore them. They will follow you everywhere, desperate to get some content off off you lol.
Back before I dodged I would check there stream as a teammate because I would go out of my way to help them out with hook sabo's, bodyblocks etc because I thought they would be cool and be like "hey this players a G man" but no matter what I did they would just talk trash regardless so I just dodge now.
-
No he's still weak as hell. Just watched one of Umbra's streams who is one of the best killers in the game imo and even she didn't stand a chance of stopping decent survivors from getting the gens done.
-
When I see TTV I check to see if they're online and if they are I dodge when I'm playing either survivor or killer.
Every experience I've had with a TTV so far has been them being toxic and talking crap about me even when I've gone out of my way to help them as a teammate.
Not worth the haste to play with people like that and have them and their viewers talking trash about you for no reason.
-
I just take it as a compliment and move on.

from the facts? which facts? your experience?
some of my exerience (which is ALSO a widely known thing that I haevnt heard only once on the forums): when playing morning til evening, my survivor queues are almost instant and the last 7 days DBD barely dropped below 25k concurrent players. doesn't look like there is a problem in killer participation in that timeframe. so for me it looks like when working time is over, more people start playing and that probably raises SWF plays, pulling some killers into survivor role, which also explains the shift in queue times
I think your "there arent enough killer players" argument is not really well founded. at least I dont see any facts for that. if the community feedback is your only fact, then the "switching queue time" fact I also get from the forum kinda equalizes that
Sure if you want to ignore the constant complaints about survivor queue times you do that.
-
That's a latency issue that affects all killers though, not just huntress or slinger.
They can do certain fixes to try and help but if someone's playing on McDonald's WiFi then there's only so much they can do lol.
-
If you're playing solo it's no so much fun as it's a helpful tool to use if you want to get better in chase.
-
Sometimes the survivors accused can just be spared by the killer for whatever reason.
Im sorry but if I see a clueless baby dweet it becomes my mission to give him the hatch lol.

A large portion of red ranks are actually, unironically, pretty bad survivors.
Sure, however someone in red ranks is still going to have more game knowledge and have a better ability at running a lower rank killer then if they were against people at their own rank.

No one said it doesn't happen because I don't do it, but it is unlikely that someone is just smurfing to get easy killers. The vast majority of SWF teams will die, and even more so if they have low ranked teammates due to them being easy pressure for killers. You can't assume my argument if you don't understand what I actually said.
Lol the only way a SWF is going to die against a lower rank killer is if they're really bad at the game. You said people need to stop pushing this narrative but guess what, while ever this happens they're not going to and they shouldn't until the problem is addressed.

Or they were just playing with their inexperienced friends? People need to stop pushing this narrative that everything a survivor team does is to spite the killer or gain an upper hand, even down to playing with friends who literally just bought the game. Should I not be playing with my friends...?
There are red ranks that have a low rank in their team so that they can get there attention and run them around the map while the low ranks just rush gens knowing they're safe. You can't just dismiss that it happens because you say you don't do it.
The killer should be near the highest players rank because if you are playing with low ranks then it should be at your risk and not the killers.

I would totally support that opinion, but again have to say that it is almost irrelevant if you are a red rank or yellow rank. not completely, as ranks at least show how long you played this month. but that's it. so even if match making would be working, it would still mix up players of different skills, as the emblems are not working either.
btw where do you get the info that "a lot of players simply abandon to try to play killer"? the queue times behave like always for me. I hope you don't say that generalizing assumption because you abandoned to try to play killer, or do you have any numbers, more than probably 2 people you know personally?
btw near to the highest survivor level. that is also frustrating for the low rank mates you have in your swf group. especially when the killer is kinda forced to go for the weaker ones as the stronger ones cost the killer too much time. this is simply not really balanceable. ideally you would need matchmaking that only groups players with +- 2 ranks. you will never be able to balance it well, one side will always have the possibility for a hard time
If you play with low level teammates then you should take that risk because if a low level killer finds a red rank survivor first and isn't experienced enough to break chase etc then they're going to get run for multiple gens and either dc or just give up.
I also get the info from the facts. I have been playing both sides for 4 years and the survivor queue times are the worst they have been because there aren't enough killers playing the game. This is widely known in the community and has been talked about numerous times.
-
Because the devs somehow manage to break the sounds every patch.
-
Wouldn't it be more offensive if he did it to all the original survivors apart from Claudette?
-
You agreed to the terms of the contract which states they can change any perk, character, add on or item whenever they see fit.

Is it really going to be that rare...? 4 survivors. That's 2 minutes of possible immunity..And thats just from one clock wake up. What about multiple times a game...?
It's still only 30 seconds each. Besides in the rare case where you did hit them at 29 seconds, if you are able to get that hit on them out positioned they aren't that great at survivor anyway so it's not going to make much difference in your ability to down them.
-
It's the dbd way. Add a quick fix to a perk or add on instead of actually fixing the base game mechanics.
-
@BrokenSouI said:

30 seconds is an eternity. That can be clock...quarter of a gen. I find you at 29 seconds and hit you and all of a sudden I can't even use my snares
But you're using the rare scenario to say it's going to be bad when the majority of the time it's not going to come into play.
I think people are jumping to conclusions without testing it out first because I really don't think a decent Freddy is going to have any problems with the changes.
-
@BrokenSouI said:

Not true really. I'm dreading the part that my hits can potentially NOT put them in dream world. And I'll either have to drop chase or go at them without even being allowed to use my power. That's the only bullshit part
They have 30 second immunity after using a clock, so unless someone uses one mid chase or you find someone right after they use it the chances of it coming into play are going to be pretty rare.
-
The change isn't that much tbh. It will only really effect not so good Freddy players and the good ones will still do well with him.
-
I think spirit needs a nerf but honestly the more I think about it I'm torn.
As a solo survivor I think she needs a nerf to be able to have indicators in chase when she's using her power because she can destroy a bunch of solos.
However I understand how unbalanced the game is when a killer goes against a SWF so they need a killer who is able to tackle those matches.
