I didn't compare them. I said taking out your frustrations on someone who did nothing to you is moronic. Going out of your way to camp, tunnel, and slug people because of someone else's toxicity doesn't make sense.
And obviously endgame toxicity is worse than camping etcetera.
Camping slugging or tunneling isn't toxic it's part of the game and there is nothing wrong with a killer playing that way if he wants to.
-
It's either just survivors who are really bad or want killers to be weak so they can click and teabag them and get away with it.
People like that shouldn't be listened to, he's one of the weakest if not the weakest killer in the game and needs some improvements to become even viable against decent survivors.
-
The reason this game is so well received is because it's so simple when you break it down.
Killers go around and stop gens being done and survivors escaping. Survivors complete gens, help teammates and get the doors open to escape.
Plus they have killers from movies etc that bring people into the game. Most other games that try and replicate this formula just over complicate it instead of keeping it simple like dbd has, which turns people off from playing.
-
It's just entitled survivors being entitled survivors. Play however you like, if it isn't against the rules and you aren't hacking then you have every right to camp, tunnel or slug if you want to.

And it gives your teammate loads of BP as compared to the pittance you get for self-caring. But mostly it's because it's twice as fast.
I wanna rename that perk selfish-care.
Exactly if you want to run it that's fine and use it where you're safe if no one else is around. But if there is another survivor there let them heal you because it's much faster and if you have ds you get to keep it.

Yes cos a survivor controls what the killer does...
A survivor can heal you and you don't lose ds and it's quicker.
-
If a killer wants to tunnel then they do it regardless of if there is an obsession or not. I still use ds and have used it in matches regularly because it works just as well as it did before, but I have always used it for actual tunneling and not for god mode.

So by this logic if someone breaks my leg, I should go to Walmart and break everyone's legs in there to get revenge on the person who broke my leg?
I understand that killer sucks, but using your previously bad matches as an excuse to ruin other people's matches who had nothing to do with it is complete stupidity.
So you're comparing playing killer and killing survivors to insulting someone in end game chat or sending them angry messages.
The killer is playing the game within the rules and can use whatever tactic they like. Going out of your way to send someone nasty messages over a video game isn't a tactic, that's just called being a idiot.

Lol. No. It should not. The d/c penalty should not exist for players that leave matches only now and then. If you leave several in a row then yea, a small penalty may be warranted. The point is no player should be forced to stay in a match they don't want to play in a game they paid for. In a game I paid to play yes, it is about what I want. I know its a team game but I'm playing for my enjoyment and entertainment. If a match does not give me that, I will leave. If the penalty ever stacks up so much I am locked out of matches for long periods of time I will quit.
Honestly we don't want teammates who will dc because they "aren't having fun" so if you'll quit you won't be missed. ๐๐ป
-
Survivors: OMG you're using noed baby killer bet you need that crutch to get a kill. Oh and look using some OP add ons to haha you suck at this game.
Same survivor plays in a 4 stack SWF all with ds, unbreakable, bt and adrenaline. Brings haddonfield map offering and a key ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ

I stopped worrying about my rank a long time ago and it was honestly the best thing I did. It made the game a lot more fun and took away the feeling of needing to keep my rank and being annoyed if I have a bad match and depip.

She was the typical purple haired Nea player too. Just begging to be chased and be toxic. Whatโs funny is. That Nea got away. She wasnโt even the one I killed or tunneled and yet she still sent me a hate message. I knew what she was trying to pull and didnโt fall for it. She wanted to loop me the whole time while everyone else gen rushed.
I usually just dodge TTV's now. I've made the mistake of checking their stream while playing to listen to in the background so I can hear what they are saying during the match. It's usually a 3 or 4 man premade and they're always toxic as hell no matter how I play.
-
The thing that confuses me is the fact that everyone says that if you made it so killers could choose to go against SWF or not they would all choose not to. To me that should really show how much of an issue it is if everyone would just choose to avoid them all together.
-
They're just making excuses for their dumb plays. I usually find the TTV's are the worst for making the dumbest plays and then being salty because you capitalised off of it like you should.
-
I've got all my survivors P3'd but only because you can see the bloody cosmetic in game. I have a few killers P3 or P2 but not many because then you usually can't play them for a while until you get some decent perks.

i dont see same amount on both sides killers bad not play game like supposed to be played survivors not fair at all i post from an account with 18 posts on to show how much i hate this game!!! behavior need do something about slugging how are you supposed to play if u are on the ground??? because killers are trash can only win with slugging unless they facecamp which is even worse ten games i play tonight and every time i tunnelled out first how do I report killer for this??? behavior need to do something or all players quit this game because garbage killer will have no survivor to play with me why devs favor killer i don't know game needs fix not add greedy outfits for dwight instead fix slugging and camping and tunneling so we can actually play the game but no this is how killers play to ruin game for everyone else so i make threads like this because i dont know what a comma or period is but probably because killers slug!!!11!
๐๐ That's pretty much spot on tbh lol.
-
I see the same amount on both sides. But I usually find that the killer mains will actually have a decent debate with you and use this forum for what it is for to have a discussion. Where the survivors usually just argue with you and tell you your just bad at the game lol. Had one the other day basically dodging my questions because he knew I was being logically and going on about basically 1v1ing me lmao. Some seriously have the minds of 12 year olds. If they aren't actually just 12 already lol.
-
Killers are getting fed up with the game. So most now either leave the game, move to survivor or camp, tunnel and slug.
They're tired of matches either being a gen rush squad or a bully squad. They're tired of dealing with crap after the match if they lose being called a baby killer and gg ez, and they're tired of being called a camping tunneling slugger if they win even if they didn't do anything like that.
-
The first match I relax and use meme perks is the one where I end up against the SWF squad that split up on gens lol. I'd love to but you can't afford to especially at red/purple ranks.

What's to understand? The Killer is trying for whatever they can get. Nobody asks the last Survivor why they don't lay down and die. :)
Did you not read the chapter in the rule book about having to leave the last survivor during EGC so you can watch a survivor tbag at the exit gate while another gets the save so they all get to escape. It's rule number 678 in the book if you want to give it a quick read. I'm just looking through the book now so I know how I'm allowed to play this game.

I get it during the endgame screen before anything shows up. None of my progress is saved from the match itโs a waste
Its crazy that this games been out for nearly 5 years yet bugs like this occur more and more.
-
I mean any killer can camp if they want to, it isn't against the rules.
-
I've been experiencing it a lot more and having to restart the game. Luckily when it happens I get it after I've escaped or died and get locked in the end screen so I don't get a dc penalty at least, but it's still super annoying to have to restart the game regularly now just to keep playing.
-
If all the gens are done and he knows the door is open or 99'd then there is no point leaving the hook to go to an exit gate when everyone will just escape as soon as you get there and then you lose the hooked survivor to.
Camping to secure the kill is the smartest thing to do in endgame plus survivors trying to save can result in another kill as well.

But I was at the main building miles away from the gates pointing at a hook
Sorry I thought you meant nearer than that to the gate. She's likely just really frustrated with the game then and had survivors clicking and tbagging and she's venting her frustrations. It's difficult for newer killers to get into the game and deal with all the toxic bs that comes with it. Best thing in that situations is probably just to get out and let the match end. She probably turned dbd off for a while after that match.
-
She probably assumed you were a toxic survivor who wanted her attention at the exit gate by spamming notifications. That's usually why survivors spam notifications during endgame.

It's okay this game really gets you that way sometimes it can be very frustrating. Sadly toxic behaviour is just a staple in this game.

yeah the rule book for killers seems pretty large where the one for survivors isnโt even a paragraph. ๐
Exactly that. Survivors act like that on the regular and are surprised that most killers are fed up with it and tunnel or camp a lot more these days. They've brought it on themselves, so play however you like and don't bow down to their fake rules. They clearly don't care about the killers fun so you shouldn't care about theirs either.
-
That's pretty much dbd in a nutshell but don't think about camping, tunneling or slugging etc because the same people who act like that expect you to play by their rules otherwise YOU'RE the toxic one. ๐๐๐
-
I don't mind the stuff that happens in game. The most toxic things come from messages or these forums. There are a lot of nice people in this community but for every nice one there's a toxic troll waiting for any excuse to shout abuse and let out their anger issues.

I can explain to you how to use DS and we can see live demonstrations of each other, I'll invite you to a few matches, I will see how you explain to me what you mean AND see you play, and you can do the same with me. Deal?
You haven't had a question you've just asked to see my play and I've responded to that. But like I said you still haven't answered my question because you know that's the smarter option and you simply don't want to admit it.

Ah, the old good "you're a troll" card. It's always handy isn't it?
No, listen. When you state something, and make an affirmation, it should be true and it should be backed up by something. At least you should try. When I say something, I'm ready to back it up and prove it, otherwise I'm lying. So, when someone is preaching on the forums and lecturing everyone on how "easy survivor is", "survivor is broken" , "survivors are so OP" "lolz this is easy" , "lolz this is how you do that". And then the moment they're asked to demonstrate it they chicken out, then they're lying. It's just all words all talk nothing substantial.
You haven't answered my question.
-
@CustomerService said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086465#Comment_2086465
Man, that's so disappointing. It's really easy to find constant lectures on the forums about how easy something is, how blatantly obviously something is done, how something works...
But when it comes down to demostrating something and making it more than words, suddenly everyone is busy / not available / they're not streaming because they're allergic to something, a relative passed, their computer can't handle it, their dog ate their index finger so they suddenly can't, it's "not my job" (but it apparently is your job to TALK about it, not proving it).
Damn, it's really unlucky.
let me ask you a question then, if you have ds is it smarter to jump on a gen or self care straight away without knowing if the killers coming straight back. Or is it smarter to get another survivor to heal you so you still have ds and you either get healed before and have ds still or don't but at least you still have ds?
Its very basic stuff, I don't have to prove myself to someone trying to troll on a forum because someone's stated obvious facts.
-

I don't watch streamers, I play the game instead. Shocking, I know.
But the question remains, after readind all your posts/lectures/advices/instructions, I would love to watch you play to learn a few things.
Can I see you play?
You can repeat yourself to try and prove a point as much as you like. I haven't stated I'm a god gamer I'm simply pointing out the basics of how to play smarter. If you want to watch someone to get better at the game that's a streamers job go watch a stream or watch a content creator on YouTube.

That's okay. I never said you're a streamer. I like all your good lectures/advices on how to play the game. Can I see you play?
So you can see me not self care or not jump straight on a gen after getting unhooked lol. You can watch a streamer that picked up the game in the last month and see that it's pretty basic stuff.

I, too, would like to see this.
Id expect anyone with more than 100 hours in the game to know that if you heal or do a gen straight next to the hook you just came off you should expect the killer myn't come straight back to you.

Can I see you play? you sound like an amazing survivor.
I've been playing a long time so I'm good at survivor and I know how to play smart, there will always be people out there with more hours in the game and better than me of course but that's like anyone else. Also I only play solo so no using SWF as a crutch either to get to rank 1.
-
@Harold_Shipman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086389#Comment_2086389
There's many reasons why its never that straight forward. It was a suggestion that is to the detriment of nobody but tunnelling killers who return immediately to the hook to rehook the guy whos just come off, didn't think it would be so controversial.
If they come straight back to the hook then they're going to find you regardless and you have ds so the perks going to work exactly as it's meant to, to stop actual tunneling. If you're on a gen straight away or self caring you aren't being tunnelled so if you do it right where the killer knows survivors just were then you run that risk.
-
The devs have said themselves they work whenever they want to. They are lazy and complacent when it comes to this game and will continue to be until they get some decent completion and realise they need to pull their finger out or run the risk of players moving over to a different game.
Until their money gets affected they won't care as much as they should because they know they don't have to.
-
@Harold_Shipman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086374#Comment_2086374
not if you've moved elsewhere, tapped self heal and then the killer has found you through your blood trails and a frighteningly small terror radius.
Then you need to get better at being self aware and looking around for the killer before assuming you're safe. But like I said find a teammate and get it done quicker without losing ds, I've played only solo for 4 years I rarely even have to be asked to be healed before they're Tbagging next to me to heal me.
-
@Harold_Shipman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086348#Comment_2086348
easier said than done when you're leaving blood trails everywhere; as I say this is an issue mainly for stealth/high mobility killers more than anything. And getting team mates to heal you is all well and good with swf, but in solo q, which is of course already one of the worst experiences in the game, not so much.
So if you're going somewhere else and the killer finds you then you have ds and the perks worked as intended. I only play solo queue and I can't go anywhere injured without being swarmed by teammates chasing me to heal me for bloodpoints.
-
@realflashboss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086346#Comment_2086346
Ok so if you're healed you lose DS too then which is fair!
I don't think that many people who abused it before are running it anymore. I haven't run it for many months as I think it's a boring perk but the people i see running it now are usually the people who need it most cuz they're new or not very good and they're the one who could do with a small grace period.
At 10 seconds I don't think there's much harm in terms of progression and it's not really abusable. Ruin alone would get rid of that progression in 3.5 seconds of chase.
No it would allow people to gen tap which stops regression and progresses the game. If a teammate heals you then you don't lose ds so if the killer does come back you're healed and you have ds.
But if you want to jump straight back on the gen and get your objective done as quickly as possible then the killer is going to see you and take advantage by putting you back on the hook and getting his objective done as quickly as possible. It works both ways if it's okay for a survivor to try and get gens done ASAP then it's okay for a killer to try and get kills ASAP.
If you're going to jump straight back on the nearest gen instead of going somewhere else you run the risk of the killer coming back to where he knows survivors are and taking advantage of it.
-
@Harold_Shipman said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086331#Comment_2086331
Agree with gens, but sometimes you can try self healing before killer comes charging straight back, even if you move from hook you have blood and injured noises. Personally id like to see it deactivate when you reach 50/75% self heal progress more than anything
Don't heal near the hook and get to a safe place. Also find a teammate to heal you because it's quicker and you don't lose ds.
-
@realflashboss said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2086331#Comment_2086331
Tunneling doesn't only occur if it happens before you can do anything else in game. You're missing my point that you're held hostage to do nothing at all to wait and see if you're tunneled. You shouldn't have to stand around waiting like a pleb for 10-20 seconds to see if the killer is coming back or run for the hills in anticipation that he may be tunneling you...
A teammate healing you takes that long and doesn't take away ds. Problem solved If you have time to get healed and then jump on a gen you aren't being tunnelled so if the killer comes after you he isn't tunneling he's stopping you from completing your objective which is his objective.
-
If you're sat on a gen you're progressing the match and therefore aren't getting tunnelled because if you were you wouldn't be able to do that.
It's the killers job to stop the gens getting done so if you're going to jump straight on a gen after getting unhooked you're running that risk. Also the killer isn't tunnelling he's gone to a gen and found you on it so you can't do a surprised pikachu face because he stops you and puts you back on the hook.
