I have yet to get the map as a survivor, but my first game as Pyramid Head I got this map. It was a tad confusing, but I think that played in my favor. I managed to get a 4K. Still getting used to PH's abilities, but they're pretty cool so far. Not having many perks yet kind of sucks too. I played with Discordance, Devour Hope, A Nurse's Calling, and Save the best for Last (All TIer 1). My Devour Hope went down in like 30 seconds.
It'll take some getting used to, I think. I still get confused on Lery's and The Game. I like it, though. At least from what little I've played it.

I don't think there need to be individual killer ranks. But I do think there should be a 3-tier mastery level.
Tier 1: Beginner
Tier 2: Advanced
Tier 3: Master
At tier 1 your rank is reduced by 5 for matchmaking. This means if you are a rank 1 killer, you'd be matched as if you were rank 6. And if you were rank 5, you'd be matched as if you were rank 10.
At Tier 2 your rank is reduced by 2 for matchmaking. This means if you are a rank 1 killer, you'd be matches as if you were rank 3.
At Tier 3, you are ranked normally.
It takes 7 pips to move from Tier 1 to Tier 2. And 10 pips to move from Tier 2 to Tier 3. You can go back from Tier 2 to Tier 1 if you get a total of 5 depips with no pips. Once you reach tier 3 you cannot go back to tier 2.
Players can also opt to skip tier 1 the first time they play a killer (after the system would be implemented) for a 50,000 BP bonus. Or they can opt to skip straight to Master rank for a 250,000 BP Bonus.

You can play a character that's a different sexuality from you. LGBT people have been having to do it for decades! There are several games with romance, and no LGBT option. I'm not sure why you need to play Nea as straight. Does she only save male characters? Does she have a romance blooming with another character? How do you play DBD with a character as 'straight'? Why is it that people say "I support X, but..." and that but always undercuts any support they have or show for the people they claim to support?
-
Nobody would use premonition even if you nerfed Spine Chill. So that argument is pretty weak. Premonition isn't used because it's got a ridiculous cooldown. Spine Chill is fine. Yes, it gives good information. But that information is limited.
-
If I run a killer toward a teammate, most of the time it's either because the teammate happens to be nowhere near the gens (in which case that's 100% them) or it's by accident because I usually don't really have a plan when I'm running from the killer except make distance and lead them away from the basement and/or gens/hooked teammates.
-
Just give killers a perk to protect their hex's for roughly two minutes. Seems fair. You'd have to significantly weaken most hex perks to make them a non-hex.
-
I'd say I'm below average. I'm starting to learn, though. On both sides.
-
That setup is begging for an Iri-head Huntress with an infantry belt and an Ebony Mori by a very good huntress. OoO won't help you when it lets a huntress with god-like aim know where you are.
-
So the killer just has to guard the exit gates for roughly 3 minutes, and they win? That doesn't seem fair. Especially when a killer like Trapper can just trap the exit gates. The Endgame Countdown begins once the exit gates are opened to usher survivors out, and end any stare down contests where survivors can hold a killer hostage. The killer cannot be held hostage thanks to the EGC. They can either open the exit gates themselves, and force the survivors out. Or they can defend the exit gates for as long as they feel comfortable doing so. But survivors STILL have a chance at opening those gates, saving people, etc... as long as the game continues.
-
If you can, get Save the Best for Last. It's the best perk for most killers. It'll save you so much time in a chase. Your builds aren't bad, though I'm not a fan of Sloppy Butcher or Brutal Strength.
Pig is very RNG dependent. If you get good RNG, survivors won't take their party hats off at their first jigsaw box. But if you have bad RNG it'll take 1-2 boxes at most.
The good thing about Pig is this: Gen Rushing doesn't matter. As long as there is at least one gen left, you can slow down the game significantly with party hats. I've literally had a game go from 1 hook with 4 gens done, to a 3K with 9 total hooks. Her comeback potential is MASSIVE. So don't fret if a bunch of gens get done. Until that last one pops, you can still slow down the game a lot.

That is a horrible idea. Nobody would run that.
Run it with Sole Survivor, as intended.

DS is mostly fine.
OoO needs some reworking, though. Maybe let the killer always see your aura, and you can only see their aura outside their terror radius (unless they are undetectable)

The problem is the way people use it. Let's say you hook someone while a guy with ds gets unhooked. He instantly goes over to unhook the recently hooked guy.
Both of them have DS. You either leave both of them, slug both of them, or down and pick up one.
Regardless of your choice you are losing alot of pressure and momentum. That's my problem with DS. It can be used to change the killer from having all momentum to practically none.
What you do depends on how many gens are done, and how the game is going so far.
If few gens are done, you eat both DS's. No reason not to. Get them out of the way. Then they can't use them ever again. (And that's assuming they actually have them). If a lot of gens are done, you leave them both slugged. I agree it's kind of BS that someone can go and unhook someone with DS and both of them be pretty safe. But at the same time it's kind of inefficient for them to come over and save someone immediately after you hook. And you can punish them hard by slugging them both.
-
Breaking NoED five seconds after it lights up.
-
There's nothing wrong with it, but like Otz -- I find it boring. And yeah, you can definitely get some extra kills. Had a game a while back against this nasty SWF team. Almost got a 4K at the end because they were overly altruistic and I had three of them slugged. If I hadn't made a bad decision to hook one of them and just went for the last guy then it's game over. My mistake.
I don't fault killers who do it. (Doesn't mean I won't try to tempt them away to save a teammate, of course) I used to do it. But I find it kind of boring to stand in front of the hook and guard it as if getting 1K makes the game go any better.
-
Depends on where I am. If there's a dull totem nearby, I check it to see if it lit up suddenly. If I'm near an exit gate furthest from the last gen that popped, I 99 the gates or get as much as I can don before the killer is in view (or I hear their terror radius or spine chill lights up and the door isn't open enough yet). Also depends on what the killer is doing. If they're in chase, I'm 99ing the exit gates so as to open them easier.
-
I don't have a problem with totems spawning near generators. I do however want to see a Corrupt Protection perk, so if I bring Ruin or Devour Hope into a match, it will last longer than 30 seconds.
-
As Otz himself points out: One gen getting done isn't the end of the world. If killers would stop acting like it was, then they'd probably have a better time. The game's not over until the survivors are either dead, or out the exit gate or hatch.
Here's why this isn't unbalanced:
The survivors sacrificed efficiency to get ONE gen done really fast. They used their BNP's to get a gen done in roughly 17 seconds. And yeah, that sounds crazy fast. And it is. But it's also one generator out of five. The first gen is the easiest to complete. If they save their BNP's until later in the game, they risk being killed before it gets down to 1 generator. After that one gen is done, they aren't able to complete other gens at the same rate, or similar rates. They've used up their BNP.
Yes, Otz is crazy good at the game. I wouldn't want to take anything away from him. But if you're a red rank PC killer you could probably get a 3K-4K in the same scenario as long as you don't give up and act like you're defeated because one gen popped really fast. Not as fast as Otz, but you'd still probably get there.
That's not to say there don't need to be some tweaks to gen speeds. But this video doesn't illustrate the problem with them. It's not a problem when one gen pops REALLY FAST. It's when FOUR gens pop really fast because the killer can't exert pressure on enough survivors at the same time due to a bad start. But -- rather than making gen times longer, devs are looking into a "Trial Warmup" which could help killers get off to a better start, and therefore make gen times more bearable and allow killers to have more natural early game pressure, which is precisely what's needed.

I like all of them except the last two.
I think knowing if the killer has NOED after cleansing 1 totem is pretty OP, so i'd say *at least* 2, so 4/3/2 instead.
The last one just sounds a bit dumb tbh. Leader and prove thyself is a thing
Leader and Prove Thyself do nothing about your running speed.
-
Best when you actually get to use it, regardless of how rare it is?
Survivor: Unbreakable. If you can pick yourself up from the dying state, it can swing a game hugely.
Killer: Devour Hope. No question.

Killer Perks
Predatory Sense
Whenever you initiate a chase, survivor's aura is shown to you for 5/7/9 seconds. Cooldown time of 30 seconds.
It Begins
At the beginning of the trial, all survivor's auras are shown to you for 3/4/5 seconds.
Corrupt Protection
At the beginning of the trial, the entity blocks all Hex Totems for 100/110/120 seconds.
Survivor Perks
I Sense Death
After cleansing 3/2/1 dull totems, you will know if the killer has NoED. Includes a Totem Counter.
Cheerleader
When within 10M of another survivor you can use the action button to CHEER. This will give them a 7% speed boost for 5 seconds. Alerts the killer to your location. Cooldown is 120/110/100 seconds.
-
Styptics. Definitely styptics. If we're allowed to pick one from each side, Iri Head would be the other. But I really hate styptics.
-
Ash - He's Ash Williams. Enough said.
Steve - I mean c'mon. Dude faces Stranger things every day.
Meg - She's a track runner, so she should be able to run the killer pretty well.
-
Well, what perks were you running?
I'd recommend whispers for starters. It saves you a lot of time finding survivors. You can skip gens you know there are no survivors nearby.
Ultimately though, if the players are better than you, you have to kind of lower your expectations. Better players will win most of the time. You can then either decide to use them as practice to get better, you can give up, or you can try to force a 3-gen and keep them from completing it.
-
Nurse on console.
Man does it feel satisfying though when I accidentally land a hit.
-
I tracked this stat across 160+ games, here's how often I saw each killer:
Doctor - 20
Spirit - 20
Legion - 16
Wraith - 11
Ghostface - 11
Hag - 10
Myers - 9
Trapper - 9
Plague - 9
Billy - 8
Leatherface - 8
Oni - 6
Clown - 6
Pig - 5
Demogorgon - 5
Nurse - 4
Huntress - 4
Deathslinger - 1
To be fair, most of these stats are from before Deathslinger was released, and none are from RIGHT AFTER because I took a short break from the game. Haven't seen any Freddy's because I'm on the Nintendo Switch.

I don't know if I'd say it's necessarily inevitable. Especially from rank 4 on, you have to show at least SOME level of consistency in your play to move up in rank.
It doesn't mean you're MLG Pro or anything, but there's definitely some threshold there.
Yeah, once you reach those Red Ranks you'll find it harder to progress. But I'd say if you play enough, you'll eventually reach those red ranks. Map Knowledge alone is such a difference maker. And as survivor you'll pick up new tricks, and as killer you'll pick up new tricks. You'll get better perks. With enough experience, you'll soon have more experience than other people coming into the same rank. And you'll start doing really well. This is true of both sides until you reach red ranks. At which point you're unlikely to face survivors/killers with less experience than you. (Well, Barring the terrible matchmaking system, that is.)

SWF does boost mediocre survivors, I have first-hand experience with that. If it boosted me to rank 5 (so far), imagine what it does to players who're already very good at the game.
I play solo, and I'm not particularly good at the game. But I've made it to Rank 3. I'm not particularly good at Killer, either, and made it to Rank 4. Rank isn't really an indicator of skill, but time played. If you play enough, you will rank up. It's inevitable, and has little to do with SWF.
-
Disturbed Ward. Hate that map so much.
-
Why did you pop the gen that had almost no progress on it! Such a wasted pop.
Anyway, it's probably best to eat it there, while you're ahead. Two gens done, you probably downed him again in short order. Then he doesn't have it the rest of the game, and escapes because of it.

So it's ok for them to troll me with a 20 minute toxicity fest but "abuseable" that I could troll some people to a potential 10 minute queue where I can't interact with them at all?
I mean, I get the concern. But have you considered that maybe it's a 10 minute queue because there aren't enough killers? Aaand maybe there's a reason for that?
If they haven't completed the gens, keep chasing them until you down them. Use the practice to get better. If they've completed the gens, just open the exit gate. Or go to the basement, and if they come down there, it's a lot easier to down them down there.
-
The problem with this idea is that killers could just quit as soon as the game begins. Map they don't like? Quit. They just want to troll survivors and make them go back to 10 minute matchmaking? Quit. Too abuseable.
-
Killers should definitely be able to see what items a survivor has. In fact, keys should be far more visible than they already are. I miss them 9 times out of 10.
Survivors definitely should not be able to know what killer they're facing. I think it'd be fine if the screenname of the killer was shown. Maybe let killers opt out. But anything else they shouldn't get.
-
My cousin told me about it, but I never really got into it until they invited me over and asked me to try it. I watched them play a game, then hesitantly took the controller. Spent most of the first part of the game hiding in a locker because I heard the Huntresses hum and assumed she was close. Worked a little on a generator before missing every skill check because I didn't know what button skill checks were. Then got killed quick. But I decided to get the game, so I could get better and follow the game better and not suck at it.
At first, I nearly quit. Games weren't much fun. Killers did nothing but camp me and I had no idea what I was doing. The maps were really difficult to find your way around. It took me a couple weeks to figure out how to find a generator (and my cousin TOLD me how to do it, but I didn't understand what they meant). I still get lost on some maps (Lerys particularly), but they're a lot easier to get around now and it's a game that I now own all the DLC for. Except the ones not available on Switch. *glares at the people responsible for not giving the devs the rights to use Freddy on Switch*
-
People tend to stereotype killers by the playstyles people often use with them. I don't hate going against any specific killer, but I hate going against sweaty players on either side. Like, chill a little.
-
Only cleanse when the gens around the fountain are complete.
-
I'd say lower the cost of bloodpoints for everything by about 1000. This would reduce the grind by about 25%. That's a massive amount.

So if I'm at Rank 20...and I destroy other Rank 20 players...
...I should stay Rank 20 because it's clearly too easy...?
Big Think...
If you're at rank 20, you're probably already facing rank 10's with current matchmaking.

I'd rather have the perks I want, than a bloody cosmetic I don't plan to use.

In other words, to counter a killer who had hooked two people within the 90 seconds and to whom they fed EWIII, the survivors just had to... hold M1.
First "90 seconds" if you don't count the cuts he made. Also second time he pops tier 3, he pops it on an injured Nea instead of a healthy survivor. As stated by others, he didn't go near the gens that popped, so it's no wonder all they had to do was hold M1. What are they supposed to do, run into him and get him to chase them instead of doing their objective? I mean I don't know him that well, but I'm guessing he's a pretty good killer. And that's why he was able to get a 2K against presumably red rank players while still making mistakes, and having a perk loadout that got minimal benefit. But let's not act like he played flawlessly here.
-
Not sure how people are judging the survivor's gameplay without seeing things on their side. That's probably the silliest thing I've seen people do on here.
Also, with all the cuts it's hard to judge how fast the gens really went. And it didn't seem like they went TOO fast. Third gen pops at least (can't say for sure, since there are cuts!) 106 seconds after the second gen, and 112 seconds after the first gen. That's plenty of time for one person to finish that third gen on their own.
But what SO MANY PEOPLE fail to realize is that gens are going to get done. That's the survivors main job. Unless you're playing against Potatoes, gens will get done. 90% of the time, you aren't going to stop the first gen from popping, and expecting to be able to is silly. As the trial goes on, the map becomes smaller and more manageable. Your job isn't to stop 3 gens from getting done, it's to stop 5 gens from getting done and preventing them from getting out the exit gate. You'll literally have games where you get your first hook after the fourth gen pops, and still wind up with a 3K because the game is designed for gens to get done, but then for the map pressure to be higher as more gens get completed.
Furthermore, him having spirit fury doesn't help him much. it activates once all match, and that's 5 minutes in. That's half of his perk loadout that didn't get to do much, and Corrupt Intervention deactivated 2 minutes into the match. I don't think enduring is particularly good on Myers anyway, since you can just stalk them across the pallet. Like yeah... go ahead and wait to throw it while I get my tier 3. He also spends a lot of time chasing Ace after the DS - making him the obsession - instead of heading to someone else who was uninjured and has a lot more stalking available -- he's a Myers, he doesn't NEED survivors to be injured to down them. And since he had STBFL, hitting Ace loses him stacks.
-
NoED is only a problem if the killer is a camper. If they aren't camping, you've got plenty of time and opportunity to do totems. Now if a killer is just a camper, then you probably don't have time to cleanse totems, but you can keep an eye on their location, and if you get all the gens done, check them on your way out the door.

They can only nerf moris if they nerf keys too. Pick your poison.
They should nerf both! This isn't a poison. I don't think most survivors go into games and think "Let's bring a key!" Just like most killers don't think "Well, let me bring my Ebony Mori." into most games. Both are a bit too strong, and a bit too common for that matter.
