How can killers find you without generators? literally impossible as only aura reading they have is chase, gen done, and gen broke
Would literally result in seeing Legion every match as their power includes Killer Instinct, and based on some of the threads here; they aren't exactly the most enjoyable killer to play against anyway…

The feature that was listed under coming in the second half of the year. Take a look at the QoL roadmap, It was never claimed to be in this patch.

so developers want us to play 2-3 games, do the daily tasks and f off?
cuz 10 matches to unlock one pass level is a joke. it discourages playing. previous system was also a grind and i never liked it, but at least i wasnt forced to play every day.
its not fun anymore, ITS WORK!its a pity that there are no refunds for the pass, i would return it. joke on me, i guess.
and i wont even mention the fact that I PAID FOR THE PASS, people who dont pay should play and unlock it this way. i hope the european union will finally deal with the fact that you pay for season pass and end up with a d in your hand. That's the point, pretty much every game out there expects you to work for their passes, it don't matter if they are free to play or have a base game price.
-
We also have no idea how many fragments will be given away during events, or whether the Fragment Frenzy bonus will come back (obviously it would be adjusted). It's literally the first week, things could still change, sorry you couldn't get to level 20 within a single day….

If my kid is watching, who’s 6, and I’m about to get Mori’d and I don’t want them to watch cause it’s a gruesome one (like Kanekis) I just hit escape to bring up the menu that gives you the option to leave the match, but I don’t actually leave. It blocks out the animation and quiets it. Maybe that can be an option?
Not to question parenting, but why would you allow a child to watch you play a mature rated game anyway? Bringing up the option screen while the mori plays, thus blocking the majority of the animation is sufficient. (An option to skip would be nice though…)

I mean they disabled the Bloodshot Eyeball last year and that is still useless (compared to other bp stuff) which is essentially the same as kill switch. The devs choice for kill-switching is very inconsistent.

I feel like killer repeat prevention should be a thing, but it may negatively affect queue times. Though quality for more time over quantity and sufferage is my personal opinion
There should be an incentive for playing other killers, I guess BP makes more sense but Iri Shards would be a bigger pull overall. Although the likes of The Twins or Trapper would probably constantly have a permanent incentive active… 😂

I'm going to step in on this one right away - a killers power has nothing to do with sales first of all, two completely separate departments that work independent of each other!
The feedback about The Ghoul on PTB was incredibly mixed, with some saying buffs were needed and some saying nerfs were needed, in fact more were saying "D tier killler" than there were saying that he was a strong killer. So whilst the feedback is useful to us, its not set in stone at how players would react once the Chapter hit live.
Bugfix Patch 2 is the earliest one to get any changes into after content has gone live, the first patch is normally addressing things found in the PTB or internal testing. It's why there's no changes in this PTB to The Ghoul, as the PTB is based on the current Live game.
And this is where the main issue is, it's the PTB. Most players do not use this and the ones that do are mostly likely skilled at the game, so there is a high chance they may downplay how a killer (and/or perks) function in a limited environment. Moving forward there needs to be a way for all players (that do not have access or want to use the PTB) to experience a new killer to get a better idea on what changes such as nerfs/buffs would be required. Overwatch tests new characters in the live game for a weekend to gauge feedback, now granted there are many caveats to this and it may not be so easily to replicate, but it means the every day casuals actually get to try them out; and that's important when gathering data.
-
I would only agree to no stacking ONLY if there was another objective(s) that was needed to escape. In this instance it could be changed so that it take less time to fix gens as there would be no stacking, but even if all 5 are complete (or some), you still need to do something else; aside from the exit gate obviously. Killers like to complain that survivors are rushing gens and they need slowdown, but when there is nothing else to do aside from that (if you're not in chase), then that's a bigger game issue.
-
There was an update months ago to combat 3 gens which meant a single gen can only be regressed by killer perks/hits I think 7(?) times and then it is blocked by the entity preventing the killer from interacting with it for the rest of the match. It shouldn't happen after two hits though, so gen slowdown is still a valid strategy, perhaps it's a skill issue?
-
If the PTB is introducing new mechanics such as new killer powers/reworks, or new perks I'd say it's necessary to help find any major bugs that could break the game. Granted bugs and glitches still make it to the live game, but it could be much worse if some were not caught early in the PTB. Blizzard used to do their equivalent of the PTB for Overwatch during the first game and in some cases it was pretty pointless, even now they just test new characters in the live version of the game during a specific weekend, although their seasons are shorter anyway so things like bugs often get patched much quicker. Still I do agree that the PTB is often not a sufficient means of gathering feedback as the majority of the players do not use it, and even then sometimes it just goes ignored regardless.

So what happens with Trapper's Coffee grounds now? Does it stack with the basekit haste What about waterlogged shoe hag with rapid brutality?
It wouldn't stack. The strongest effect would take priority over any others, and they'll update the UI so you can see the speed percentage change in real time.

Are we finally getting a Boon: Dark Theory buff? It'll still be niche but more than 2% could be nice…

This game shouldn't have a DC penalty at all aside from a max 5 minute one, this isn't an esports game and the game balance is completely out of whack on both SoloQ and Killer. There is no justification for bans that stretch to 72hrs and beyond, as if this game is the holy grail of PVP and requires the upmost respect and commitment.
If you only have to wait 5mins for a DC penalty to end, you're not going to learn your lesson and just keep doing it. Is 72hr a bit drastic sure, but there still needs to be some sort of determent. Like it's an online game, y'all know what is expected of you.
-
You want clever zombies, play the Knight and use his guards, then profit.
-
Against solo survivors Hexes can be pretty nasty, which is one of the reasons for Pentimento getting changes. Plus Plaything is now a universal perk with The Cenobite leaving, so it's more accessible to use.
-
Works both ways too though, many survivor perks are very limited in use. Granted I know survivors have a different mechanic to deal with, but regardless both sides are impacted in some form.

We say this evrrytime a good killer comes out. Chucky. Dracula. Vecna. Wesker. It's always been this way.
To be fair most of these killers felt balanced on release, maybe one or two things that needed a little adjustment but they still for mostly felt fun for both sides. The Ghoul there is a clearly an imbalance that needs attention, so the frustration is kinda valid. Of course removing them is rather drastic, most one can hope for is a major bug is found and they are kill-switched…
-
The devs told us there would be delays, they needed time to fix things; which granted are still on-going, but then we get one of the most decisive killers since Skully and a mode which clearly feels more like a handicap to survivors than the normal mode. Yo these upcoming QoL changes better be worth it, cause it's not looking too good.
-
Just gonna complete the first week's tome and then stop til tthe next one. The mode isn't particularly fun and the constant Ghoul pickrate just adds to more frustration.
-
Getting Ghoul almost every match kinda ruins this mode, like normal matches are already just rather frustrating against them.

Impossible for a random group of 4 solos to be more coordinated then 4 players communicating in real time over nice voice comms. Nice attempt at gaslighting to defend the crutch you want to continue to abuse, buddy.
What crutch exactly am I using, "buddy"? I'm mostly a solo player, I seldom play with others nor do I take the game seriously enough that I need to be coordinated on voice comms anyway. But sure nice attempt at trying to gaslight in return, all I hear is an entitled Karen upset that they probably got rolled on killer a little too often and needs a handicap for the other side to compete :3
-
Not all SWFs are skilled players, some really are just casuals playing for fun, maybe they don't even pay attention to patch notes or dev updates etc, why should they be punished with handicaps in the match. Hell some solo squads are just as coordinated as a SWF so solo queue fixes nothing.

When the vast majority of console players you come across have their messages turned off, that's a obvious way of saying we don't want to engage with anyone, period. End of story.
A lot of the players that do that are toxic themselves, nah don't give me that bull. Regardless the question is directed to BHVR, not you. You don't get to decide if something is "end of story" or not, so kindly do something else if you just want to wave your schlong about.
-
2v8 is much harder to balance, there is always something that needs to be changed or adjusted. Plus if survivors do not get any new ways to play it, its just going to be the same boring mode as last time; with it really only being fun for killer… if you get past the 20min queues. Chaos Shuffle can just be thrown in without any major changes needed.
-
@Nun_So_Vile said:
Because we don't want it and we don't need all the negativity that comes with it. We do have a report feature for nasty messages that works well, and most people also turn off their messages because they don't want to talk to the dregs of the fog.
Negativity comes in all games with text chat, this is not new. Players do not need to engage with text chat if they do not want to, but there is still no reason why it cannot be made accessible to all. Interesting that you use "we" to insinuate you speak for all huh…
-
It happens in any game to be honest. I used to be pretty decent in Overwatch in the early years, but now I'm just washed up and can't aim for crap. I still play the game occasionally but yeah I try not to take pvp games as seriously anymore. Take breaks, play other things in-between, but don't let a single game dictate your enjoyment.

or you could just not gremlin near gens (altough the aura reading should be tied to the gen not the killer)
I think sometimes it's kinda hard to do that if the killer has mobility, they could arrive quicker than you have time to leave the area, thus Nowhere To Hide activates and reveals the survivor. So it's more which killer is this a little too good on, rather is the perk just too good period, which depends who you ask. Tying it to the gen seems reasonable though.
-
All aura reading feel can a bit much at times, and then there is Killer Instinct as well which has zero counters at all; and you don't even know most of the time if you have it (unless you have prior killer knowledge)! Considering there is a feature coming to detect players who do not engage in the match, Distortion could literally be changed back to how it was and it would be fine.
-
No it wasn't. The roadmap said it within the timeline of like April-June or something, it did not give a specific patch for it. It could very well come next mid-chapter with the new survivor.
-
24hr penalty doesn't happen unless you've already been disconnecting from many games in a short time. Fix your internet.
-
No, they announced it as being part of the upcoming changes for 2025, it was not specific to this patch.
-
No. And if it still has a ton of glitches even during live, it's gonna be Houndmaster all over again… I'll give it a while.
-
Let's be real, the majority of players don't read dev notes or even patch notes sometimes. Sure they MIGHT glance over them if it's a chapter that piqued their interest, but a lot just don't pay attention at all. I'm not saying there should not be Developer Updates, but you gotta consider how many people actually benefit from it you know apart from the most dedicated players.
-
Some killers have such good powers -and sometimes with strong add-ons too- that even if they get bad perks; they can most often enough still find success. Of course that doesn't necessarily mean they will still win the match, but being able to choose the power you want and how it functions kinda takes away a bit of the randomness of the mode. Then you throw in (almost) guaranteed map offerings too, although granted these will be changed in the future. Chaos Shuffle should be random everything, not just perks; but also items and add-ons, just maybe this could help to reduce some of the sweat. Although I know some players will still be sweaty regardless, but yeah shake the mode up a bit.
-
Just to be clear, my original concept was involving the final survivor having no hook states at all. If they have DS available then clearly they have at least one hook state and can be mori'd, so there would be no reason in waiting 60s or letting them bleed out on the floor. Any final survivor still has a chance to make a play until they get downed so anything is possible.
-
A petty survivor can quit knowing a bot will be left behind, but a killer can't do it in return because it would just end the match. Killers couldn't complete adept achievements on bots, I don't know if this changed but if it's still the case, then this needs to updated also to make it fair to any side that suffers a DC.
-
It's nothing to worry about, maybe they'll eventually negotiate new terms to allow more freedom but for now just enjoy the mode. There are bigger issues with the game to deal with...
-
Yeah with events and stuff it's usually enough time for the casuals out there. Although the pages do get increasingly more difficult, perhaps 1 and 2 of the tome could have more challenges to complete due to how easy they usually are.
-

Hmm I guess do it with the Feedback/Suggestions option, it'll create a ticket for sure. Maybe inform them you couldn't find the exact option for what you wanted to ask.

I think there is an Ask Something Else option, follow that through. Can probably just copy and paste what you put in your original post.

ok, i tried it, but could you be more specific. Like how and where to use a support ticket
This should be the page for you. Submit a request, speak with the AI thingy and give all you details then wait for them to get back to you.
-
There was one match in 2v8 when everyone got slugged and each survivor was put on a hook one at a time after the sacrificed completed. They could do absolutely nothing for 60s because this mode did not allow unhook attempts during the first stage, so they had to wait it out, but eventually they let themselves die on the second stage. The killers repeated this process on subsequent survivors until most just bled out from all the waiting. If you know the match is a bust you want to go next; as being essentially held hostage for over a minute due to these hook mechanics isn't actually that fun. Granted I know this is a very specific situation and is not 1v4, but if self-unhook wasn't an option, it would have an even worse detrimental effect to the longevity of the game.
-
You should probably send a support ticket because they'll need your cloud ID as well (found in the in-game settings), your Epic name wouldn't be enough confirmation.
-
2v8 is getting basekit Unbreakable isn't it. I know different modes and all that jazz, but will be interesting to see how player behaviour might change in that environment. All survivors being bled out just to get up and having 8 beamers burning your killer retinas...
-
I dunno if you'd make it better, from the sounds of it you want survivors to reap all the benefits and nerf the majority of the killers.
-
The main divide is filters, the fact a PC player has the option to make things look clearer and easier to see can sometimes be advantageous compared to console users.
-

Slugging is a tactic. Don't compare that to the ones killing themselves on hook.
That's a winner vs loser comparison.
A survivor giving up on hook so the last one could find the hatch is also a tactic, but now it'll just guarantee the remaining player will just get mori'd instead. I will compare them.
-
The minimum change could be making the green ward a lower rarity or making maps higher rarity instead, hell they could even do both of those things.
-
The broken keys need a use because unless you manage to get one with add-ons (which needs perks to guarantee), no one wants them. Perhaps keys can let you use charges to open exit gates a little bit quicker, so it's not just exclusive to hatches (and auras).
