  • It's the best looking map they've ever made.

Can't say if it's balanced since bird lady has good antiloop but from what I've seen, quite a few safe loops and it's fairtly big so that seem not great.

  • Not even remotely close.

Old Legion was literally uncounterable in every way, not like everyone around here spams "THING X HAS NO COUNTER", he actually was. Killer instict killed stealth, there was 0 way for him to fail at using his power in chase, it ignored everything and required 0 aiming, predictions or strategy just spam M1 infinetly.

Artist is high skill cap killer that just released with very complex mechanics on both sides that are yet bound to be fine tuned. She has very strong antiloop yes but it does have ways to fail or be countered by survivors. She can miss, survivor can chain tiles to avoid placed crows, flashlights burn the crows, etc etc. And among all that, she needs to constantly outplay survivors with precise predictions on the crows if she wants to win the 4v1, not just spamming all crows in the 1v1.

They're as much alike as is old Legion and Blight = not at all.

  • Favourite - everything so far

Least favourite - That she isn't out yet and that she might get nerfed to not be as fun as she was on PTB.

I have no idea how bird girl plays but killer has tons of perks which are wall hacks, just saying.

If she needs wall hacks to reach her full potential.... killer has their selection of Nurse's Calling, BBQ, Tinker, Discordance, Surveillance, I'm All Ears, Retribution, Rancor, heck even Lethal Pursuer for spawngibbing.

Yeah for one time shot of 1 crow each time at best, none of these perks last long enough to come even close to fulfilling her max potencial. You'd need to shoot and land crow cross map blind every 5 seconds to reach her max potencial, not a single aura reading perk comes even close, they help but good game sence of survivor movement would do far more for you.

  • Her potencial is definetly 100% biggest in DBD but you'd have to be a psychic to utilise it.

It's not realistic to think anyone can reach her max potencial since you literally would need a wallhack on all survivors and then pipoint land every crow every time it's off cooldown doing damage across the map whenever anyone gets marked.

In normal gameplay, she's imo equal to nurse. In straight 1v1, killer has most of the control in their hands, if you land your crows every time without missing or getting baited ever, nothing can really stop you.

I really hope she makes it into live without getting destroyed, balancing her is fine but please if you nerf some things then buff others to compensate. It's been ages since we got contender for S tier killer spot (one that doesn't have mobility power at that) and I really hope she'll make it.

  • Probably because EVERY SINGLE KILLER since Ghostaface had good or strong anti-loop power.

Blight - godly antiloop when played properly, guaranteed hits which when well aimed are unavoidable.

PH - antiloop power that goes throw walls requiring a lot of pippoint predictions or getting really close with good LOS.

    Deahstliner - speaks for itself.

Oni - delayed snowball antiloop power that is among best in the game capable of 4 man slugging everyone under 1 min if survivors reveal themselfs.

Demogorgon - Shred is amazing at cutting loops short and zoning, another good antiloop power.

Ghostface - 100% complete stealth strategical power with exposed options so it's understandable he doesn't have any actul antiloop since he's supposed to end chases before they even start

And many more killers before GF are the same.

Ofc all of these have more gimmicks thrown into the mix but about 90% of DBD killers do have antiloop powers, some stronger, some weaker but in the end every power exists to help killers beat survivors in chase since that's what matters the most and creates most interesting gameplay.

Nobody wants to play vs killer who doesn't bring anything interesting or new to the chase and is just plain M1 killer who's power slows down gen repair speed by 50%, that's an excuse for a power.

Would it be nice if devs could come up with something really unique and new so that new killer doesn't need antiloop power ? Yes but that's work and a lot of thinking which is hard so probably not worht the effort for them to leave the working 110% and 115% killer formula.

  • I wouldn't, she's amazing already.

  • With MMR even as good killer, you run into a lot of good survivors who are mainly good because they either play SWF or just hold M1 a lot.

It gets annoying to try to play nicely with mid tier killers and even when you're doing everything right, you lose because of RNG, lack of mobility, pre throwing pallets, holding M1 and so on just to get teabbaged at exit gates and gg ez in endgama chat from people who've beaten in chases but lost due to holding M1 beiing so effective.

I guess many people quit or just play survivor. I personally don't play as much as before MMR or just play survivor. And even when I do play killer, I care about playing well far less because even if I do, I'll still lose a lot of the time just to M1 holding and map size.

  • Yes yes yes, we all know by now.

Everything is killer sided, 20 things get nerfed for survivors with each patch, survivors never get anything good or usefull and if they do it instantly gets nerfed because of crying killer mains etc etc.

Anyway how is your day Sluzzy, all good I hope.

  • Better then design they had before making killer with not good enough antiloop who got easily countered by just throwing down a pallet.

Antiloop powers are essential part of the game and make chases more interactive, not just loop wood 4 times, throw it down and repeat 10 times before all gens pop so that you can do the same boring ######### in the next match.

Besides, good blight is far more opressive in chase then good trickster or nemesis, it's not even comparable.

  • It's not wraith, it's any killer that is below A tier.

B tier killers struggle hard vs competent gen focused survivors who loop decently if they're not playing godly their killer.

Anything below B is just pure pain vs actul good team, it's not impossible thanks to DBD sometimes giving you good RNG but if you do win, it's usually not very fun match where you either relied on them doing something very dumb or played dirty a lot and it worked out somehow.

  • I would be fine with it only if it became an option after losing half of your bleeding bar (2 minutes).

That way you basically have to stay for what is a full hook but not for the entirety of bleed out bar if killer decides to let you bleed to death.

  • Too many limbs, far too little black goo.

I actually did read the whole thing, I just have that little faith in the devs keeping a strong killer strong right now.

Just imagine, she could become first S tier killer with no actual mobility power.

But that much innovation is very likely going to sink since we can't have nice things these days. I hope she makes it but my expectations are very low.

  • @Haddix said:

i'm very scared she's gonna be executed but we'll see. she really doesn't need that many changes, just some of her cheesy low-skill ######### should be cut down but overall her real strengths that actually make her top tier shouldn't be touched, and I wouldn't even mind, depending on the changes made to her power, seeing some slight buffs for her range power to hone in on that aspect of her kit.

Tbh if it's not just nerfs, removing the trap damage cheese and possibly the instant damage without marking someone could go.

I'd be nice if something was given in turn but I get the feeling nothing as nice will happen.

  • Must . . . not . . . play her too much. Must . . . not get used . . . to getting fun to play strong killer.

Gosh I want her to go to live as she is but she'll get changed because we can't have nice things.

The survivor mains have majority control of the senate, but the killer mains believe a trade war with queue times might restore some balance. Trouble is brewing as Behavior has a production line of NFTs ready to unleash upon the galaxy.

I vote to make this a comment of the year.

  • Strong enough that I'm afraid she'll be nerfed without anyone actually getting good at looping her properly.

She is very strong, high A tier possibly S tier imo.

Killers like that rarely get into the game in a condition they were at release. Blight was an exception since he was ######### on PTB and got fixed on live + everyone kept saying he's harder to play then nurse which warrants him beiing to top.

I hope bird lady manages to maintain her high tier list position but knowing devs they'll nerf her just to be sure we don't get too much variety in our games.

  • I wish you'll be proven wrong, nothing good comes out of nerfing stuff that doesn't need it.

  • The chapter is absolutely amazing so far, hopefully they won't change it too much going into live.

The effects of all of your equipped scourge hook perks are combined into every scourge hook.

    That's good to hear.

  • I don't mind losing with killer as long as I lose to survivors actually outplaying me, not to map and tiles RNG or me playing mid tier killer who can't compete with even average gen speeds.

  • Sami just might be the thing I love about DBD the most.

  • Myers would certainly never hit tier 3 ever again, that's for sure

  • For one, they have addons you know, pretty great ones at that.

For second, devs want to make mories and keys seemingly part of baseline gameplay so neither is getting any changes until they figure that one out.

And lastly, good riddance. They were busted and annoying before and deserved everything they got.

  • From what I know, you mainly complain about Undying, Ruin, Tinkerer, BBQ. There's only 1 actul slowdown perk in there so what's the big deal about that build when they have only 1 slowdown perk and aren't stacking it with anything else yet it's your most complained about build.

Or are classifying as slowdown perks any perks that can be even slightly comboed with actual slowdown perks.

On second though, don't answer that, I already know what you'll say.

Don't blame the balance. Even before MMR and other stuff there were face campers. They won't start suddenly play for 12 hook when they can [Bad word] and use it as excuse.

Maybe make playing for 12 hooks more appealing and rewarding then ? If 12 hooks gameplay worked better for killers and capming + tunneling wasn't as effective as it is, less people would do it.

Why shouldn't I blame game balance when it's the exact thing that cases killers to camp/tunnel just like it forces surviors to gen rush etc to win.

    in BUBBA Comment by Kebek
  • Chaning anything about bubba won't help though, people who play like this will just move to the next best killer at camping. They'll play hard camping basement trapper, 99ed Myers, Oni and just simple use his power once hooked which has multidown too, etc ect.

The question should be why do player feel the need to play like this. Are they just venting after bad game before or is overall game balance pushing them to play like this if they don't want to be crushed under gen speed and bad map design etc.

    in BUBBA Comment by Kebek
  • I mean yeah tombstoning survivors is pretty fun, especially the annoying ones.

  • I've switched from slinger to nemesis and been playing him a lot since he released, the mutation speed is mostly fine I'd say. It is a bit silly that you can't reach tier 2 on one survivor without using Marvin's blood but if you switch or just down them fast enough it's usually fine.

Reaching T3 is very important as T3 actually does huge difference in some structures with the added meter of whip distance. Getting there really depends on how well I play and how good are the survivors I'm chasing. Some teams are extremely easy to tier up on, others do amazing pathing and predict the whip and drag really well so it becomes a struggle if you're not spot on.

For most of my games, it's alright. Nemesis isn't top tier killer by any means but against fairly good teams he still performs pretty well.

I still wish we got more the 3 tiers so that you can scale into absolute moster if you land your whip properly and game drags on a bit. It would be so much fun if the scaling of his power was more then, you break pallets now and you reach 1m more.

  • Yeah I like escaping too.

  • I wish but devs these days stick to the ever repeating formula of either 110% or 115% killer.

To do something daring and design completely unique power with different game rules would be too much effort and people would just complain anyway since they'd have to adapt to different rules other then looping a pile of wood.

  • Because for one, it's 1 killer out of 25 killers so your chances to even see him are rather low, it's ultra rare / very rare addon that is already unpopular and rarely used due to the very different playstyle it has, it has multiple ways to completely deny killer the ability to use it (lockers, awerness of MM addons and time it takes to charge them, obvious perk choises for the builds that work with it, mori hand etc) and most importantly, it's FREAKING Micheal Myers, you should be honored to be killed by him directly insted of beiing space spider food.

Also, the purple tombstone will get nerfed since it's time efficiency is overtuned, that's pretty obvious but there's nothing work with the pink one, it's one of the best designed addons in DBD.

  • The actul entity is the trials themselfs, we have her already, she's literally all the matches and everything in them excluding players.

Maybe some entity blessed killer or who's partially fused with her powers but I don't think you can make entity herself a killer.

  • Nooooo, I actually continued even harder on playing Nemesis since he's very similar to slinger but 115% and now far more fluent and fun.

Huntress is nice and all but I've always been bothered with hatched wind up when playing more then 1-2 games. Not my thing.

  • Yes, both are tied together. If you want thealthy gameplay you need to limit both in some clever not too restrictive way.

If you make overall games last longer for killer by proloning survivor's main objectives, you also need to ensure killer can't cheaply kill off 1 survivor too fast thanks to that added time.

  • They just said that in the future they want to make keys and mories part of baseline gameplay. We don't know how exactly.

  • Nah, the way it works now is perfect.

  • Not the same imo.

As survivor, I've seen over the years since hexes released uncleansable totem spots less then 10 times.

With boon totems as killer I've seen double that amount in two weeks. Afterall, interacting with totems is designed to be for survivors and they suddently made killers to do it too so naturally it would be broken mess for years to come.

If uncleansable hexes were actually often apearing issue, they would either disable them or possibly gave more attention to fixing them.

Also people who say devs favor any side will keep saying so no matter what.

  • Because it needs to change in a good healthy way ?

Like, godly played nurse is the best killer in DBD since her release, not debate.

Should we make killer who instakills survivors just by hitting them once to change still prevalent 2016 nurse meta ?

No because that's not healthy for DBD's gameplay. If it were to change, we need a well designed killer who has weaknesses equal to the strenght to top nurse (even when that won't happen).

Same for everything in DBD, just because something changes doesn't mean it's good. Changes need to have positive impact on if possible every aspect of what was changed or at least majority of them.

  • Main thing that comes to mind is no timing for pallet stuns and flashlight blinds changes. That went back into the trash bin really fast.

Did you just call Slinger a relatively strong killer, proceed to list his GLARING weaknesses, then say those weaknesses arent a big deal? He was a barely middle of the road killer BEFORE those gigantic nerfs to him.

Those weaknesses are mainly annoyances compared to how he was before. I'm saying he's fairly strong, not that he's amazing, highly skilled slinger still isn't a joke to play against compared to some actually low tier killers. Imo low B tier compared to high B tier that he was before.

  • Imo both stayed relative strong killers even with the terrible changes but if I had to pick one it'd be deathslinger.

Billy got a cooldown which mainly limits how often he can use his power but the other then that, the power is unchanged. He mainly lost his charge addons

Slinger on the other hand, can't do tight around corners shots as well as before, tiny holes shots not at all, is far more clunky and less responsive, even the most oblivious surivors now get notification to "wiggle now and hope he misses" and to top it off has 32m TR while beiing 110% no mobility killer with several other cooldowns on his power.

Even with all that, his chase is still really strong so he can survive it but honestly, who would bother getting good with him when you can chose from higher tier killers who are about as good in chase if not better and have mobility powers or other stuff.

  • Something really needs to be done about this

    and it's gens

  • @TacitusKilgore said:

Otzdarva was right. People really do just randomly hate nemesis now.

Not randomly, slinger just got fun patched out of him as one of the best chase killers and nemesis is very similiar to him with his chase gameplay so naturaly people moved to him insted and so he's next on chopping block for the sake of fun gameplay for survivors.

  • And so it begins.

  • No

It should be stronger, right now, good survivor teams couldn't care less about NOED while babies get all murdered because of it.

Give it new effect that's worthy of beiing endgame hex and make it work like No way out but much stronger once fully stacked and active.

  • Obviously Nemesis, his zombies shouldn't infect or injure and insted just give free speedboasts + nerf his tentacle attack and give it 2s charge up so that survivors have enough time to realise they're supposed to dodge.

Wowie I vent on kind of rant there, golly.
