Almost 2 years. Must be very hard to fix.

The own console and monitors you use have resolution and filters/brightness settings, those aren't PC exclusive advantages
We're talking about strechted res here, not changing the resolution from 4k to 1080p or 720p.
Filters can only be used on PC. And just adjusting the brightness does'nt help for DBD.
-
The only arguement what really should work for BHVR is crossplay. Everytime i "lose" on a dark map on whatever which side, i have that thought in my head the other side played on low graphics with strechted and / or filters. PC players CAN use potential advantages which can break the game, in extreme cases it looks almost like cheating. Meanwhile console players can't nearly change anything in the options.
First step should be to finally add a graphic/performance mode and a brightness/FOV slider (not more then +/- 25%) for ALL plattforms.

Are there really seoerage queues just for the Series X? That explains why crossplay off never finds a match.
And by the way - the game turns off.crossplay for you when this error occurs. But nobody has confirned getting into a match this way. Wanna wait 30 minutes?
With crossplay on Xbox players from the last gen have the globe icon while i'm on XSX.
So yeah, that explains the queue times taking ages when we on XSX/S turn crossplay off.
-
This should be also a wakeup call to finally get rid of the restriction Xbox players get when they turn crossplay off.
Just let OG Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox One X and Xbox One Series X/S in the same queue.
-
At the highest MMR you don't have the time to play nice as killer anymore. Gens are beeing tunneled, survivors are getting tunneled and / or slugged. And it's neither the killers nor survivors fault, everyone is doing the objective really quick. DBD is just not balanced for competitive (yet?).
-
It's all about intensions. The only equivalent a killer can do is hitting someone one the hook or slugging to let them bleed out.
And now ask yourself what you see more in your games. Survs tbagging and / or clicking or killers doing this.

The games were in one year, aka 2 games a day. Can't find the mistake.
Doesn't matter if it was only 2 games a day or 20. Nobody wins EVERY game within 700 trials.
But sure, you're free to believe that.
-
OP played 700 killer games without tunneling and camping and won ALL of them. Find the mistake.
-
"Gen rush" is just an objective term in 95% of all trials. I'm only suprised the term "kill / hook rushing" is so rare.
It's pretty much the same, as both are the main objectives for both sides.

Thats just some rasterized reflections, proberly ssr. The problem with those "faked" reflections is that only things on the screen appears in those reflections. Here's a video to show what i mean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCXVG0Qw7Fo
Looks more like SSR, maybe you're right. But yeah, BHVR talked about their plans before adding ray tracing. But they really need to be carefull. At this point performance should be the mainfocus. When they add real ray tracing, things can get even worse. At least we would need an option to activate / deactive it. And some kind of perfomance / graphic mode for ALL plattforms. Pretty sure XSX and PS5 doesn't even have 'ultra' settings yet, i'd say it's 1 setting below. And although both next gen consoles could run it easily, they still don't have STABLE 60 fps on all maps.
-
I'm pretty sure since they updated the UE engine with 4.2.0 there's already some kind of ray tracing.
Just look for all this reflexions, like water and light effects. Even windows of oppurtunity shows reflexions sometimes.
-
In my exp wraiths (and other stealth killers) tend to camp more in low ranks as it works out for them quite often. Expect NOED aswell.
This never really changed since beta. Playstyles or builds can't be toxic tho, intensions are. The only "toxic" thing a killer can do is beating someone on the hook or let them all bleed out on the floor. The entity doesn't like that aswell and most likely you won't rank up, and i agree.
-
1 ) Keep in mind DBD is surv-sided with good survs and killer-sided with bad survs.
2) Go for hooks is way more healthy. Go for the 4k and you already lost. It's just the wrong mindset, at least for DBD.
3) And most important: Play how you want and (try to) have fun, it's your game!
-
Tunneling gens or kills isn't survs nor killers fault. Blame the game!
-
So you played 40 rounds of killer, starting at what... R20? This reminds me of surv-mains who will tell you they play "both sides", but only play killer against potatoes at low ranks, claiming all killers are viable, no gen defense is needed (with NOED, lol) and killer is too easy. And ofc they never tunnel and camp. Thing is, most of them aren't even lying... they just don't know how bad the foundation of the game is against good survs.
-
@KateDunson said:
Well sometimes I'm just spending points and going back to my main survivor at last second, but you are not wrong, they should lock survivors builds at 15s left when u can lo longer Press ready because a last second key and map is infuriating for my point of view
That's a point i heard before, i do this aswell. The difference is, i don't bring items on any char anyway.
But if you quick switch from a surv holding no items to a surv with an item, most killers will call "bad" intensions.
-
I don't mind versing SWFs if they're bad. The most fun are toxic SWFs, not really doing gens.
-
Tunneling isn't the survs fault nor killers, most of the time the problem is the foundation of the game.
Survivors objective is just way quicker then the killers. And even if getting 1 surv early out of the game is a efficient strat, i saw many games were only 3 survs still managed to finish all gens and escape.
-
DBD is killer-sided with bad survs and surv-sided with good survs.
-
Tip 1) Get bad survs.
-
You have to be really cocky to even equip a key these days. And i get it, it's really cheeky.
-
You mean if i want to have longer queue times just for more sweatier matches in the long run?
MMR will only make solo q better if you think about it. Which is... a good thing. Not for killers tho, esp. for ppl who main only 1 or 2.
-
Back in the day it was a common sign for: "Killer is camping, don't come and do gens!"
Nowadays it means: "Unhook me asap no matter what so i can try to kobe right in your face!"
-
Can't dogde ping anymore as i have always the same good ping.
What i can dogde is keys, on both sides. If i'm surv and i have the feeling another surv tries to quickswitch, i just equip a key and ready up. When the countdown hits 00:06, i re-equip it. Works 95%. ^^
-
The point is simple, it works. When penalties are on, there're def less DCs.
-
Pretty sure it's not "ultra" on consoles, should be one below.
Also graphic settings are way harder to implement on consoles, i can't even think of 1 game which has that.
Adding Performance / Quallity mode would be a better solution, at least on Xbox One X, X/S, PS4 Pro / PS5 and Switch.
-
I don't like the fact it distorts BHVRs statistics (you know, 2 kills on average) and when it's used by killers without skill who just camp and tunnel. And i really mean CAMP and TUNNEL hard. Also NOED is way stronger vs. solos as SWFs can tell eachother and count the totems. As a solo i even run Dectives Hunch + Inner and can't prevent it from happening most of the matches. Either the gens are way to quick or way to slow. But the biggest problem with NOED for me is, that it takes no skill. It's just about a perkslot and rng. Not a good designed perk imo, a rework would be nice.
-
Finally! Time to climb the ranks again.
-
It def gets more sweaty if you turn crossplay off, no matter which plattform. It's the same phenomenon on Xbox and Playstation.
-
Played Solo Q mainly since 2017, it's a different mindset. It should not be about escaping, more about a GG and getting better at the game. What most ppl forget, even when you get a "bad" team, you can AT LEAST get a black pip nearly every game. Don't forget to bring the best solo perk - Kindred. It gives you much information when you need it the most.
-
Taking a break till issues are fixed is better then DCing. For the players and for the game.
-
Strechted, filters, brighten screens... just ask yourself WHY you use it and be honest with that.
If EVERYONE could use it would be fine, but as this isn't the case, it's not.

They are all the same issue. The game being unstable. Sometimes people get lagged out. I did twice last night. My screen froze and it kicked me back to the main menu. The game did not crash. I had to stop playing for the evening.
They turned the DC penalty off again so I doubt its fixed. Should never have been re-enabled in the first place. Not until the game is stable again for everyone.
Well, it shows that they're working on it.

I am not talking about people who purposely DC because they are annoyed at the lag. I am talking about players who get booted because of it.
You talked about lag issues, not the game crash problem (which was the main reason they turned of penalties).
Maybe they solved it?
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Seriously? Consoles are still suffering the lag and they put the dc penalty back.
What does that one thing have to do with the other? You know about that lag issues.
Just take break until they fix it instead of using it as an excuse to DC.

While it does seem unfair to the killer that only survivors can do these "mindgames" etc, the killer can at least see it while the survivors have no idea what addons the killer is going to use, or who the killer is. So survivors can go in with medkits and end up with Plague etc. All in all it's not that unfair I think.
That doesn't make a difference as it isn't possible anymore to switch the killer.
And if the survs quickswitch, the killer can't even react with his loadout.
-
They won't exclude just 1 plattform, just for reasons of que times on that 1 plattform.
XSX or PS5 players vs. Switch players is unfair aswell as Switch is the worsed optimized version.
The goal should still be to optimize ALL version to have stable 60fps. And if they still can't manage this, ALL versions need graphic options and/or a perfomance/graphic mode to improve FPS.
-
Call "Trapping Killers" "Preparation Killers". This would include Trapper, Hag and Demo.
-
Me too, but i don't make a post about it and just... take a break in silence, like many others too. It's more effective.
-
The problem with quickswitching or "Lobby mindgames" is that it works only for one side.
When i see a surv quickswitching to a key, or multiple survs quickswitching to flashlights, i might dogde/quit the lobby, no matter on what side. It's just bad sports and shows very early your real intensions. And i don't want to be part of that.
-
Got some shards, yeeh.
-
Blindness only potential shines against solos if they use aura perks.
-
Don't rate strechted that much anymore, at this point filters are way stronger imo. Just watch streamers who are playing the game as intended, ppl will come in asking: "Why does your game looks so dark?". And they're right, filters can give big advantages. The problem with that is, not everyone can use them. The only thing console players can do is drop a "less fog offering", as we don't even have graphic settings.
If you're playing with strechted and/or filters, just try to play 1 game without it. And then compare. It's basicly like cheating.
-
Do ppl not realize that there's no way to get solo Q on the same level as SWFs? Any buff to solo Q will be another little buff to SWFs aswell. SWFs don't need to be on comms, it's enough to know eachothers perks plus changes are high you're on the same skilllevel (rank / MMR). Even better if you have at least on low rank in your group to get matched with a low rank killer. Fun!
And yes, i play solo Q only since 2017. There's always a chance to get at least a pip.

But the event will be over by that point. It's a lose-lose situation.
It would be worse without the event, trust me. Good timing on them.
-
They try to buff solo closer to SWFs instead of just nerfing SWFs. Without thinking any buff to solo is a buff to SWFs aswell.
-
Just take a break until they switch penalties on again.
-
It's fine on our screen. Hitboxes aren't the problem, they never changed. It's depended how far everyone is located from the server.
And i'm sure no one really want's peer-to-peer back.
-
Killers can count, survs can't as they're to focused holding W and M1.
