I had a feeling this would come up with the EGC, good change :)
-
It depends, if you have a high res monitor or if you have a decent card, I still only get like 100fps with a GTX 1070 on low(use to get like 144fps but they updated the engine a couple months back). You have to disable the FPS cap as-well in the config files. Its only slightly better when your screen is 60hz and not even that much of a difference I think the main difference is in the skill checks for survivor.
-
As the age old saying goes, don't be a player hater. Hold BHVR accountable for their ######### judgement and loose business practices. Nothing against the BHVR workers, but god sometimes I really question the leadership decisions.
-
Decided to get my Trapper to a playable level and perk variety, no good perks though, guess ill just P3 and test my luck next time around.
-
Get that sick borrow time play, I mean unless its billy/LF or insidious :P
-
Yeah we need to be able to get 2 perks per bloodweb instead of 1 and have a 3rd perk as an option. Its pretty horrible currently and I dont even have all the characters.
-
Well next patch the hatch will spawn when you're the only survivor left and the killer will have to close it which will power the doors so you can try to open one or die in 2 mins. Next patch any DC happens before the game starts will send you back to lobby too. So everything will be fixed in a week or so.
-
It's kind of both ways rn though, I play survivor they are full tryhard mode with slugging and proxy. If I'm on Killer its the SWF who dead hard loops and goes for flashlight blinds every minute, pretty nasty but thats the game for ya.
-
Self care has its uses like you can actually heal yourself to 99% with MoM up take a hit, heal the 1% then you're full hp. Also going to save with BT doesn't really work if you're injured.
-
They will still just close the game some other way.
-
Have you tried using alt+enter command? That worked best for me when trying to get it into window/fullscreen mode. If you really want windowed fullscreen I'd look to the config files, but it might not be any better than it is for you now.

Pretty sure he is distracting from the real ban reason and now plays the victim, just disgusting.
That's awfully draconian lol
-
Yeah thats lame, it was completely the survivors fault for saving in-front of you and Plague has some pretty good basement game. Banning for using plague effectively in basement.. Then again its BHVR we're talking about, they couldn't even disable add-ons in a hotfix instead of ban people.

Hag is not free on PC.
You can get Hag without paying any money..
-
I mean I've seen a game go by in like 2 and a half minutes, without ruin the only killers than have the mobility and power to not lose that fast are billy/nurse. I've even had survivors do all my gens with ruin up in under 4 its not surprising.
-
Seems fine to me as is.
-
No the basement was designed to be blocked so killers can wait out borrowed time or stop a straggler. If you get caught in a corner and body blocked its your fault really. If a killer body blocks you the whole end game you should report it though.
-
Tricky question, on one hand I'd say hillbilly since he's balanced in terms of high level play against survivors as he can play without ruin and hold down the game but has still has counterplay. Gen rushing still crushes most killers and if it wasn't so bad I'd say Clown/Myers/Plague are the most balanced.
I find Hag/Spirit/Nurse pretty oppressive as survivor with not much meaningful counter play. Huntress can also destroy but has counterplay and would be better off with some help with map dependency/speed
-
The increase of the fatigue stun from 3 seconds to 4.. That's 33% increase from just using your power.. A power that can't down anyone.. It's as bad if not worse than 3 blink nurse fatigue? Do you understand how much of a nerf that is? 3 blink nurse fatigue on a power you have a 20 second CD to use that you cannot down people with..

Hehehe

And the devs want to make the experience more enjoyable for both sides, and don't care how strong or weak a killer is.
They should always care about how weak something is, people won't buy it and play it..
-
Overall, I think you've shown that you are terribly afraid of giving Killers anything that might moderately buff them lately, the Plague changes from the PTB are another example of having slight buffs be overcompensated with moderate to considerable nerfs and I don't understand that practice. You're only driving Killers away from playing those characters, because they are not worth the effort you have to put into them. You're also killing Killer diversity with it, because there's no reason not to play the top Killers at this point.
I use to play Heroes of the Storm and they would consistently release heroes that we're too strong at release so people could have fun playing them and give the opponents a new challenge to overcome. Afterwards they always adjusted the power level of them. It's mostly a marketing tactic, who wouldn't want to buy a super strong new character? Of course everything has to be fair and take skill but strong isn't necessarily bad, weak definitely is.
Legion definitely needs a lot more love than just band aid fixes because of how flawed they are.
It's sad Legion is going to lose the high octane rush down feel like nurse and billy have. Seems like they're just joggers with masks and knifes now.. We'll see how it actually plays out though on the PTB.
Cheers @DocOctober
-
Haha true, thanks :)
-
Negative feedback is important, the silent majority tend to just stop playing if something is wrong. Give praise and criticism where its do and all will be groovy.
-
If its not shoved in your face on the log in screen then only about 15% of the player base probably knows about it. I'm willing to bet that there have been unjust bans.
I don't know what country you live in but enabling illegal activity to persecute people is called entrapment regardless if it catches "bad guys".
-
You still get like 2 metres off terror radius but in chase you get like 8-10 more(ontop of monitor increase).
-
Friends Epitaph(UR) - Survivor
You only leave scratch marks on the ground and they are less noticeable.
"I have to be more careful this time.. I don't want to end up like he did..." - Unknown Survivor
Demon Skull(UR) - Killer
Your terror radius darkens and distorts the map for survivors who are inside it.

Leatherface can be looped or hidden from. Any Killer can be looped or hidden from. Except The Legion. This is why The Legion is broken. Because they can’t be looped and they can’t be hidden from.
I’m not saying that every Killer should be loopable, The Nurse is a prime example. She can’t be looped, but she can be lost and hidden from. The Doctor cannot be hidden from, but he can be looped. Every Killer has a play style that can be used against them.
The Legion does not. With good add-ons, The Legion is OP, because they can down Survivors quickly with no counter. With any other add-ons, The Legion is #########—to an extent. Sure, they can be gen rushed. But they can tunnel with a 99% guarantee of 1 kill. Because no matter how many Feral Frenzy hits it takes, that one Survivor that The Legion tunnels will go down eventually.
You can loop legion, what are they going frenzy you 5 times? Lmao
-
I think the best thing to do is pretend to leave to bait survivors into unsafe hooking or proxy camp with insidious. Face camping is for the end game if you lost lol
-
Probably Clown and Legion right now also Huntress.

Best:
Hag
Huntress
Susie
Worst:
Kate
Meg
Feng

After getting rank 1 only points and fun games are important, guess some people are sadists though.
-
Some killers still find looping to be "toxic" even though that's how you play well as survivor. Had a huntress lag switch me after missing all her hatchets on a short loop she could throw over then face camp me all in the first minute of the game. I just laughed, and played the next game. I find it funny when they camp since its probably a "loss" for them and they get no points.
-
The only OP insta-down is huntress iridescent head.
-
Thanks, I did think of having range but I wanted it to be a little bit more unique. I thought about having bamboo poison dart blower that applied the poison too. Maybe have a crouch like pigs that allows you to use the dart instead of spear so when you sneak up on someone you can stack poison fast.

Serious topics? Legion is boring from survivors perspective like why even bother playing when that killer can down you no matter what?
I don't mind playing versus Legion I know I can loop them hard while injured and even before since the pallet is so detrimental to frenzy the generally don't pop it until its down already. You can do some pretty fun stuff like pallet slam the frenzy, window juke once and then fake it so they lose frenzy. Its really only deep wounds and franks that are the issue...

Did this thread get posted in killers only? I'm getting a bunch of very salty people who can't just respect someone elses opinion, yet fail to bring up any counterarguments. If Ruin gets found in 5 seconds all the time then how can it stop genrushing? Hmmmmmmm.
Hex: Ruin is a nice perk, but its mostly of a band-aid for gen rushing but its not completely broken. I've had games as killer and survivor where it was just powered through, all 5 gens in 3-4 minutes, ruin active. There are ways to counter Spirit, use a flash light to see if she's actually phasing(I think you can blind her out of phasing too). Spirit Fury is only really good if you combine it with Enduring(which is half your perks). Spirit Fury is a good addition to the game imo its really helped with greed in looping; throwing down a pallet early isn't the end of the world.
I've been a survivor main since forever, and you can't tell me that pallet vacuum, double pallets on loops and having sprint burst/dead hard active through chases was balanced.. It was absolutely horrible.
The only thing I'll really say is that the amount of dead zones on maps can be super big nowadays. I think this over-all really hurts novice survivors, especially when people just throw down pallets like they're nothing. The game is in a better spot now, both killer and survivor are pretty enjoyable.
-
I think they've done a pretty good... Job so far.. :)
-
I don't usually have anything special happen on killer, mostly survivor. Although watching the teammates t-bag a survivor getting mori'd is always funny to watch.
-
Get good..
-
I really love Legions walk they like tiptoe towards you all tense and ready to gank.

Clowns basically an M1 killer, Sloppy Butcher, Save the best for last, Nurses Calling, Spirit Fury, Enduring, NOED. I don't really think Coulrophobia is good on anyone but Doctor.
-
The whole reason behind it is you want them to waste time healing because it takes longer than cranking out generators. But if mending takes longer than doing gens players wont mend either. So you make them mend by putting a debuff that gets progressively worse on them. Currently it downs you if you don't but mending doesn't take long(so make mending take longer).
Making it take multiple hits or only last 1 minute just gives survivors a longer injured state and you have to do more work just to add seconds on a gen.
Just put it all in one hit that makes them bad if they don't heal. Lining up either slowing the game down or downs
-
Also if you can get through windows early enough against billy/leatherface they're forced to M1 instead of chainsaw.
-
Just make the begrimed debuff until mended and consecutive hits in deep wounds increase its effect.
Needs to be 115% otherwise this is a pretty big nerf with no increase in killing potential.
I said previously to make mixtape into something that hinders other survivors in your terror radius after frenzy hit to chain it better.
Should make sloppy/thanto/nurses affect mending too.
-
@JoannaVO well yeah if you break chase or run franks mixtape(3 hits in frenzy). Which are the reason people are just disconnecting and why everyone is complaining.
It takes 5 hits and frenzy stuns you when you hit them with deep wounds on. Breaking chase then looking at the ground with deep wounds is basically exploiting otherwise chases wouldn't have the timer stop.
-
@HazeHound said:
115% speed on legion sounds just stupid. Everyone complains about Franks while all you have to do is hit them with power, catch up, cancel it and M1. Speed or duration helps with this even more. Way faster than Franks, cheaper too.
Legion is fine, just stop healing against him, even 15% thanathophobia does literally nothing. Don't heal and genrush him. Break totems because m&a and noed is super strong on Legion, just like on Myers.
Maybe when you stack dirt and joeys but the end lag is usually too long and they make it to another loop/window. I run monitor and abuse when people don't heal, makes for an easy m1.
-
@JoannaVO said:
Legion's current speed is 110%. I don't think that adding +5% speed will get people to use Feral Frenzy less often to be honest. Feral Frenzy will recharge fast enough for people to continue their chases with it. And I personally think that if those players really wanted a different playstyle, they would pick a different killer as every killer kinda requires it's own playstyle to be efficient with him/her.
You must not have played legion before. Trying to frenzy a single survivor down takes far too long(5 hits with long cooldowns and hit lag). The reason they're bad is because the normal hit gets looped too hard as they're 110% speed.

@GT_Legend2 said:
My issue is there is no counter play. He will eventually gain his FF back. He will eventually use it. He will eventually down me. Nothing can be done about that.
It takes like 5 hits though.. They're throwing the game at that point.
