  • I've heard some killers do it because they don't like the prolonged screams or find the screams annoying in general. It is rather annoying though, I agree.

  • Depends on the situation. If I know someone has been hiding and doing nothing, I'll let them take the kill. I won't however run around helping them look for the person or down me so I can read their aura and all of that nonsense.

If the killer just wants their 1 k on a survivor because they were good at looping, no - not happening.

  • Early game DCs or suicides are the main thing plaguing the game. But it's much deeper than that as we all know. My next main concerns are slugging and face camping. I hate being denied the opportunity to play. I'm okay with being tunneled because I honestly don't know how that would even be fixed and it makes me better at looping.

  • Why is it that they can't just make his power not work within however many meters of the hook? I'm sure there must be a reason?

looking at nightlight I’m looking to buff and change the lowest rated survivor perks in the game. Some are horrendous but can be changed with slight tweaks.

    Corrective action

Start the trial with 3/4/5 tokens and gain a token up to a maximum of 3/4/5 for every great skillcheck.

When a survivor fails a skillcheck while cooperating with you, one token is consumed and there failed skillcheck becomes a good skillcheck. When a survivor hits a good skillcheck a token is consumed and there good skillcheck becomes a great skillcheck.

    Inner focus

You can see other survivors scratch marks. The aura of survivors scratch marks are revealed to you. Whenever a survivor loses a healthstate the killers aura is revealed for 4/5/6 seconds.

    Red herring

while working a generator, failing a skillcheck will cause the loud noise notification to trigger on the farthest generator from your location.

Red herring can only be triggered once every 60/50/40 seconds.

    Self preservation

Whenever another survivor within 32 meters of you gets hit by a basic or special attack. Your scratch marks, pools of blood and grunts of pain are hidden for 12/14/16 seconds.

    Buckle up

when you heal a survivor from dying to injured or from injured to healthy, you both see the killers aura for 6/8/10 seconds. If a survivor heals you, both of you see the aura. The healed survivor also gains a 10% haste for the same duration.

    Poised

After a generator is completed, gain a token. While running press the active ability button 2 to hide your scratch marks for 8/9/10 seconds.

I actually love all of your ideas for these perks. Great job.

  • The incentive for them is so low, 30k bloodpoints. It would at least need to be doubled for me to want to equip a character I don't play and struggle.

  • If someone DC's or hook kts during the first 2 minutes of a match. Replace those players with a bot. Such a simple fix I can't believe it's not implemented yet.

  • I'll pay for skins, happily. But the ones that are crusted from head to toe in dirt, are not being purchased. I get it's a survival horror game but I want cute looking skins for my characters. Just make bloody/muddy options unlockable or able to be customized if you want your characters looking like that.

  • I would totally love a random matchmaking trial where everything is selected at random. Perks, items and add ons. I fear that people would DC frequently though.

  • Blinding the Zombies is one of my fave activities. Also, if you see one of your zombies standing still you should probably guess there are survivors nearby so ...

  • I've been using it since the update with botany and resilience and I'm loving it. I hate relying on others for heals and med kits are useless now. Also botany and resilience are both great perks on their own.

I guess I'm looking at the nerf to med kits as a sort of buff to self care. I loaded into like 90% of matches with med kits prior to this update. Now it's going to be toolboxes or flashlight I guess.

  • One thing I'll say with Skull Merchant, if she's running hex perks, especially devour hope. You want to try and cleanse that thing ASAP. She's very good at defending her hexes as well.

  • I'd argue that self-care is actually good again, even in its current state. Was running self care, botany and resilience today and I quite liked the build. It really didn't feel that much slower than healing myself with a medkit. And you can do it multiple times per match and also the other two perks are also beneficial. Throw in an exhaustion perk to round out the build. Don't knock it till you try it!

    I wouldn't like that.

I change my builds based on what I see. If you hide everything, people will start to use some broken stuff on both sides.

I would basically expect worst every game.

If I play my main killers, I wouldn't really care. But there are teams I wouldn't want to face with Pig.

I get that, but survivors are forced to face killers who instadown when they brought perks like overcome or lucky break. If they are really trying to balance the game then it would be fair that both sides see everything, or nothing. Or at least an equal amount of information.

  • I don't think either side should be able to see ANYTHING about their opponents until after the match.

  • I get saves with any flashlight regardless of color. Many of the stats on flashlights are pretty much inconsequential in my experience. It's about timing, not stats. In the past it mattered because there were different mods on flashlight that could pretty much lead to insta blinds, but those were nerfed long ago.

  • This has happened to me three times over the past few weeks. It just happened to me mid match and I was booted to the main menu and had to reload the game.

Edit to specify I'm on PS5

  • I don't play nice, but I refuse to sweat for a 1 k. If it comes to that, I'll let them get the save and escape - or throw them out the exit gate. I'll often get thank yous for it but there's always going to be someone toxic regardless of how you play.

  • Same here on PS5

  • I'd say over half of them are not good and it shows in the first chase. Whereas when you are against a cracked nurse, you will know very quickly there is little to no hope.

  • I run bond the for the exact opposite reason, so I do not bring the killer to worked on gens or healing teammates, etc. But, I've seen lots of streamers using it to bring the killer to "unproductive" teammates.

So many people hating people using pallets... like why? Are you saving them for the next game?

Really shouldn't be mad at people using pallets healthy or injured, as long as they dont get hit and drop it or just camp at all the pallets it's fine. As long as everyone does gens and loops before dropping you'll be fine. You'll die more from inefficiency and saving pallets over people using them to not lose a health state.

As for the OP. I dont really hate anything in the game, if I really had to pick itd be either killers face camping on first hook or survivors just giving up. Both are boring and just kinda waste my time and I just wanna play the game afterall

Agreed. Not to mention pallets have gone WAY down in reliability. I'll drop the pallet, get the stun notification, but somehow I've been downed although there's no way he got the hit in time. So I'll predrop if I feel the need, and use the extra time to get to a safer tile, or loop it as long as possible. Works for me.

  • Overcome is not garbage. Not even close. I use this perk all the time with lucky break, quick and quiet, Bite the Bullet and a medkit. The total speed burst is like 3.8 seconds.

I don't ever see the DC problem go away, my hope is that they will fix it through reworking game mechanics, eg. having a bot survivor replace the person who left, or making the 3v1 less unwinnable for survivors (which would also partially fix tunneling).

This is such a simple, effective solution! The bot replacement at the very least. Auto completing one gen when someone DCs early would also level the playing field and keep the game competitive.

  • This. I just played my worst ever match of dead by daylight. In RPD, the gens were directly on top of each other. The killer was protecting a 3 gen from the very start of the game. This match took forever. It's matches like this that make me want to stop playing. They would not chase anyone or hook anyone. How is this fun? This map is complete garbage and should be removed. Not sure what they've done with the gen placements but it's almost like they're doing it intentionally to piss people off. I was SO close to Dcing multiple times.

  • I'm fine with it being 3 seconds but why does it need a skill check? So annoying when you miss it. You don't miss it often but when you do it's painful as hell.

  • If they have like 6 hours in the game, I'm dodging. Prestige doesn't really mean anything.

  • THIS. Happened to me in Gideon the other day multiple times. I assumed it was a hacker.

  • I haven't been playing for that long, but I notice a MAJOR difference with pallets and, to a lesser degree, windows. It seems like around the Knight chapter, pallets became a crapshoot. Pallets used to be way more reliable, but now I find myself getting downed when I actually got the stun in time. This happens very frequently to the point that I am not surprised many survivors are now running deadhard more consistently because it's more reliable than actually throwing the pallet. Also deadharding at the window fake, etc. Deadhard is not being used as intended anymore because the game's performance has gone down so much that it's basically a work around for that.

  • While they're at it, please remove the annoying sound effects. Make it a one click action. I hate holding down X on each node. Also, I don't need a pop up every time I open a mystery box, it's not that exciting.

  • Killers and survs find plenty of ways to taunt each other already. I don't think a few extra emotes will harm anything. I'm just tired of teabgging and nodding. I'd like more options.

  • Until BHVR gives players real incentives to stay in a match as long as possible, nothing will change. Bloodpoints clearly aren't cutting it. It's a chore to even spend them and the bloodweb is full of junk.

Come up with better rewards for average survival time in matches. Stiffer penalties won't accomplish anything in my opinion.

  • I'm over it. I'm at the point where I want to be face camped. Tunnel me. Chase me, whatever. And I bring toxic perks and T bag at pallets and windows. Come at me emotes, clicky click. All good. Some DS, DH, OTR and deliverance.
