Blendettes are usually really the worst and most usless team mates. When I solo queue and I see 1 (or more) P3 or other blending clothes Clauds, I will just dodge the lobby. Last time I decided to not do so, I had a Claud with the blue standart recolor shirt on Gideon and literally ALL she did was hiding in a corner the whole time while me and the rest of the eam tried to play the game and died slowly doing so. In the end I brought the killer to her and I don't regret doing so. She was clearly just waiting for everyone to die so she could take the hatch. She died on first hook with less than half the amount of points than everyone else.
That said. Clauds with bright clothes are usually really good team mates.

There’s more survs than killers because people have friends and want to play in swf, not because is easier
Wrong there is more RED rank survivors cause the current rank system sucks and only puts you back to rank 5 each month. Again all of you will see queue time as survivor is gonna be most likely instant once the new rank reset and MMR get introduced.
-
The one thing GF needs most is a way to apply some map pressure. Maybe by adding a movement speed boost while he is in Night Shroud and NOT in a chase. Pop is like totally useless on him cause if you hook someone and then go to kick a gen, its gonna get finished while you go there 90% of the time. Same with Ruin+Unying. That combo is (was) only OP on killers that are already high mobility (Spirit, Blight, Nurse etc.) if you see someone working on a totem across the map, it will be gone before you can even reach them on GF.

Yeah, but then the low rank killers will be matched with ex high rank survivors, which will rolf stomp them.
So i would´t be to optimistic about those queues.
Not if the matchmaking works. In other games that have a decent machmaking system, you will be put together against random ranks for maybe 10 matches or so, to determine your own "rank" by how you do against each of them. After that you SHOULD only get matched against people close to your own skill level. If BHVR manage to do the MMR right is another thing but it SHOULD at least work just like that.
-
I said the same thing in another thread regarding the same issue: it's the current ranking system, nothing else. Before when rank reset happened, one red rank got put back to green rank. Nowadays a red rank get put back to rank 5 only. This causes a HUGE amount of survivors to be permanently in red ranks (with a ton of them not really belonging there).
You will see once the new rank reset and matchmaking releases, it will most likely be way quicker for the average player to find a match than now. Just the top whatever % will have a longer queue.
-
All the (probably bad) killer mains jn here that say: "I would immediately go and play killer if that happened". Have fun waiting in queue for 30+ min for a match and then you would probably still bring the strongest builds possible to slaughter 4 randoms - cause that will show em, right? Git gut.
I am currently rank 1 on both survivor and killer (only solo/sometimes duo and killer I play Ghostface so something far from an high mobility/top rated killer). The amount of SWAT teams I face, I can count on one hand. If I face them, I will try the chance to improve my gameplay and make it as difficult as possible for them to win insead of comming here, wanting SWF to be removed.
All the killer who complain the game is too hard are most likely just bad. I don't play killer often and I am still rank 1 so any "killer main" should easly get there - whenever facing SWF or solos.
-
I don't think there is more survivors than killers, it's the ranking thats messed up. Before when rank reset was a red rank was put back to green rank. Now a red rank gets only put back to rank 5. So there is a TON of red rank survivors (with a huge amount of them who are really bad).
Meanwhile playing killer in red rank can be very frustrating so lots of killers willingly derank to play in purple or green ranks.
BHVR should rework the rank reset again and make it like before, it would 100% make queue times better.
-
Yes or why not make it so it automatically puts any survivor who tries to leave through the exit gate into dying state?

I disagree because survivors are too boosted. We need to filter the potatoes out by skill based matchmaking like COD COLD WAR.
Can we really say Freddy is so overpowered because the R1 killers are that good with him or because the survivors they're playing are boosted potatoes, DC, or simply don't know how to deal with him?
I'm a former red rank that's now green. I play against rainbows all the time and NONE OF THEM HAVE ESCAPED MY HAG... NONE! How am I a green rank (14), decimating reds and purples with a 110 killer?
Keep in mind my build is Devour, BBQ, Ruin, & MYC/Bamboozle.
Probably the same way 99% of Hag players win. Chase one surv for 3 gens, hook him and place 10 traps around the hook just to proxy camp afterwards...
-
You need to start the lunge before the pallet drop animation starts - but that depends heavily on your own ping. In DBD that means the worse your ping as killer is, the higher the chance you will hit while also getting stunned.
It works best when you LOS around a wall and just lunge around the wall to where the pallet and survivor are.

People say non stop that ranks don´t matter. Now they suddenly matter. And no, i never play SWF. Solo all the time, red rank without DS is possible. You just have to believe in yourself.
I rather believe in my DS and punish when a killer thinks it's fun to tunnel off hook, like the people you probably rescue off hook. Your build suggest you are one of those super amazing team mates who will just hug gens and otherwise go for each and every unhook without ever engaging in a chase with the killer. No exhaustion perk, just a full farm build. If the killer goes for you, I bet you go down faster than a rock thrown in the ocean.

That DS really didn´t help you, huh?
I guess you lack some kind of reading comprehension. She downed one, hooked and proxy camped. After one died: rinse repeat. Also yes, I run DS cause I solo queue and if there is no Obsession, guess what each and every killer would do.
You posting a picture of yourself against a RANK EIGHT iri huntress (barely out green ranks) is hopefully supposed to be a joke. You want to compare the skills of a rank 8 killer with a rank 1 or 2? In your picture three out of 4 were red rank survivors, including you - looking at the perk similarities, I wouldn't even be surprised if you were SWF.
-
Yep, had one of those yesterday as well - everyone died on first hook, was a AMAZING game...

LMAO

The only time I will ever t-bag is when I have a mach like this one a few weeks ago:
Match was against a Bubba. He couldn't find anyone until my gen popped, he started chasing me and I looped him for a LONG time (he left me for a few seconds once the 3rd gen popped just to come immediately back cause I guess he couldn't find anyone). When he finally downed me, the last gen just popped and he hooked and face camp me. My team mates tried to save me but there was no way for them to be able to do so, so I tried to kobe and actually did it on my second attempt! The gate was not far (my mates opened it while the killer camped me cause he didn't care about anything but staring at me). My team mates tried to give me a bodyblock but he didn't even try to hit the others, just went straight for me again, so I went ahead and t-bagged him once I was in the safe zone in the exit gate. Yes, I did it out of spite cause I wanted to rub in his face how much he failed. Ofc I depipped, he depipped and until the end it was just a totally unfun match! He even was a red rank so defo not a new player.
-
And killers have none? LOL
-
I main GF and if I don't have to cause a challange wants me to play another killer, I never play something else.
-
Just tried to do this challenge in tome 3 and it's still bugged.
-
What is fun about a game when 99.9% of Hag player play the same way? Chase someone for 2-3 gens, hook him, place 10 traps around hooked person and then just proxy camp in case traps dont get triggered when someone goes for the unhook, instantly be back on hook to down one of the 2 survivors, hook him - rinse and repeat.
-
Killer: BBQ
Survivor: DS

I appreciate the seasonal good wishes; the same back to you. I do want to say that tunneling and camping isn't always (or even often) a preference of the Killer. When you mention you were the only one to die, and the other three got out, it made me think of how many times I, when playing Killer, have seen Tunneling/Camping created by the Survivors themselves. In short, the people that unhook you only take the first step, but not the rest. A true safe rescue requires more than pulling you off a hook. It sometimes means making sure that the returning Killer goes after them, and/or taking protection hits. This is very well explained in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noLG0TucFGs
This is a new one and bears directly on our conversation, so I figured I'd post it up. I play Killer a great deal and I can tell you without hesitation that I rarely camp or tunnel because I want to do it. I simply go for the possible targets. If the only available target is the one I recently hooked, I'm not just going to shrug and say, "rats." If I have an equal choice, I'll go for the new target. I think that serves all parties better. But if only one option is presenting itself, I'm going to take what fate has placed in my path.
And then you come here to complain about getting DS'd or if that person was running Unbreakable, am I right?

Embarrassing post.
There are dozens of videos of OTZ getting outplayed and complimenting the person(s).
There are dozens of videos of him losing to glitches/weird stuff and him laughing it off.
Can you link me to some of these egregious instances, please?
Just watch 99% of his streams LMAO You must be blind if you can't see the obvious. But I didn't expect any other reaction in this killer-biased forum with all the little Otz fanbois in it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Otz, you mean that one streaming killer main who will proxy camp at 4-5 gens left - slug etc and MAYBE does "lose" (more than 1 survivor escaping) a game once in a week and then throws a big tantrum about his loss? And on top he will constantly blame everyone else when he FOR ONCE plays survivor and dies - yeah devs defo shouldn't listen to any "ideas" from that dude LOL
-
@valvarez4 said:
Of course is survivor sided. You only need to see last stats and how kill rate is only about 70%. And this was before undying
LOL if anything that shows it's killer sided. Cause BALANCE would mean 50% kill rate and 50% escape rate per match.
-
You loose a huge chunck of emblem points every time you get hooked (or in PH's case caged). Even if you manage to escape after being hooked twice in a trial, you will most likely either end up depipping or barely black pipping. Only way to balance this out is by safe unhooking at least two other team mates and healing them fully.
-
It's not the game, its Steam. If you play Ark, you know it's Steam's fault and the way it handles updates when your game is not installed on your C drive.
-
I dunno but for me survivor went so unfun. I mostly play solo, sometimes duo and between noob team mates who die as soon as the killer looks in their general direction or simply just urban and selfcare all day and killers who will proxy camp hooks instead of actually checking gens and denfending those. The game is at the point of being nearly unbearable for me.
I mean, I honestly shouldn't blame the killers cause it's the most effective way to play (even basically all the killer main streamers play like that as well. Tru3 even camped a foking Medikit yesterday...) Hook one, proxy camp hook, down rcently unhooked and hook the unhooker = two ppl out of the game. I even caught myself playing like that when I play killer and then in after game i see the survivors with 10-15k points and all I can think is how I turned into what I hate...
-
LOL at the people defending those kind of hits
-
Not everyone plays this game like it is some kind of E-Sport game (which it isn't). I play to have fun so I will continue to play what I like (Ghostface) and won't jump the "meta train" just cause "iT's BeTtEr".
Some people take this game WAY too serious and should maybe think about moving to another game, which actually is balanced around competitive gameplay, idk...
-
After a bunch REALLY bad solo survivor games today, I decided to switch to killer to calm down and damn, I had a blast. After rank rest, I was back to green ranks, now I am already back to rank 6 (which I am honestly not too fond of) by only playing Ghostface. Meanwhile I pipped TWICE in the about 20 matches as solo surv today.
In all my killer matches, I had ONE swf team that was actually really decent. My Ruin and Undying were gone 5 seconds in the match so I made them 3 gen themself and hooked them all at least once, killing the most annoying one them in the end. All the other games were a walk in a park compared my survivor games + on top even in that one "bad" match I got 25k BPs and a black pip. Meanwhile most of my survivor games today did end with about 10k points and the desire to kill someone irl.
One match was against a Plague on Hawkins. One dude with WGLF hookrushed everyone, purged as soon as he got infected and otherwise just hid in fcking lockers and he got the hatch in the end...
Another one was against a Clown with one shot bottles and my team mates just selfacred after every slug/unhook.
Thats just two of the matches but 90% of mine were just like that today. I wished I would enjoy the killer role more but I think I will try to like it better cause playing killer is 10 times better than solo survivor these days.
-
Huntress hatchets are WORSE than ever! I never got so many BS hits than the past 2 days. Mainly behind walls, around corners. Best one was when I was BEHIND 2 trees and some hey stacks and still got hit. Same goes for Oni btw. He hits through solid walls on Badham...
-
Solo and duo is basically the WORST experience ingame. I am at that point where I actually think about searching 2-3 other people to form a SWF cause the game is just plain unfun any other way.
-
Back during the old Ruin days it used to be the other way around. I remember sitting in queue for 10+ minutes as killer to find a match and survivor queue was always instant.

Okay then let´s look on some proper examples for ONLINE PVP games.
Do you give the other side free kills in overwatch, valorant, cs, rainbow 6 six, league of legends, dota2, fortnite, pubg and so on, to let them have more fun?
Do you let the other side score in rocket league, fifa and other similar sport games, to let them have more fun?
Dbd is not a casual friendly party game like for example worms, gang beasts, mario kart, ultimate chicken horse, move or die and so on, where you play against your friends offline (online can even here be competitive). Heck even in fall guys, people are competitve.
Edit: And to add one proper example for your real life ones, does a team in soccer let the other score to care for their fun?
You forget one thing: DBD is NOT a competitive game! It's not even balanced around being one cause it is an asymmetrical multiplayer game, not a shooter or anything else. It has no real ranking system (the one we have rn is useless and doesn't say ANYHING. You can rank up just by playing a lot and can still be bad in the game)
-
The one Zarina I just had in my match must have read your advice for she has been in a locker the WHOLE time I have been on hook (went 2nd stage of my first hook while the killer was chasing someone else)
-

But that's farming...
No, I will still kill them eventually. I just let them play some and get some more points myself. You know so everyone gets to play the game and can enjoy it.
-
The death treats aside, one can clearly say from the score how you played. On top you bring in BPs just to end the match within 2 minutes and barely even get 15k BPs yourself. I just don't get that fact. Would it have hurt you, to let the guy with unbreakable pick up/unhook the others so you get more hooks and points cause the game lasts longer?
When I play killer and I see I stomp the survivors (I main GF) I will just walk around the map, keep them all injured and will just let em play some after the first two hooks on each of them. Game lasts longer, I get max BPs, they get some BPs (in those games no surv dies with less than 20k BPs) and most importantly every one has fun - I never had a single survivor complain.
Some people have to realize this game isn't only about your own fun but there is 4 other people with you who want to have some fun as well.
-
I really, REALLY dislike the swamp. Always makes me go "oh no" when I see it's that map.
-
Down someone, pick em up, go to a gen and hit it a few times, then drop the survivor multiple times until he is back to injured - works most of the time for me
-
Ah yeah, that reminds me of a Kate a few days ago, that would run away to Selfcare after she got unhooked or picked up from dying state against a perma T3 Myers - she was rank 2 btw...
Solo queue is always fun...
If I unhook someone and the killer is clearly chasing someone else, I will heal directly under the hook but the amount of ppl that unhook me just to afterwards run to the other side of the map to do a gen thats never been touched before without giving a fck about healing me at all is mind boggling.

Didn't u got banned? Is it even allowed to make a new account after one has been banned?

Agreed also the "new" totems are horrible. I legit passed a dull totem THREE times before I actually saw it - there goes my Inner Strenght...

I think they meant the Bubba disconnected and the Bubba said that the two survivors (or at least one of them) was speed hacking. If Bubba was speed hacking than I feel like those two would have just gone down again.
Yes, it was the killer who disconnected and accused the two players with the purple flashlights of speed hacking. I didn't saw if thats true, I just saw them instantly getting up after being downed and finishing a gen within like 10 seconds and then the one guy has 25k bloodpoints after a 3 minutes long game with zero hooks.
I am sure they were togther cause it was the guy with the 8k who insulted the killer in post game chat.

Yeah I also like the endgame chat. Esp with a killer face camping me on first hook or moring right off hook and then boosting about stomping 4 solos afterwards - I just always wish those people TONS of toxic 4 ppl bully squads.
