Every day and multiple times a game even, I just chalk it up to be on the Xbox, it plays like complete trash on it. I have just accepted that nobody cares and they are never going to fix it, I hope you are on PC and it gets better for you with an update or something.
i am on pc but this has been in play for at least a year when i started playing dbd again so i shall assume it never will be fixed lol

Thing is, a 3K isn't necessarily a win or a loss on it's own.
For starters, it's technically 3 wins and 1 loss. Secondly, did the 4th get the hatch? Were the exits powered? Did the survivors repair all the gens? If the answers are yes, no and no, then sure, that's a win even if the last one technically escaped.
Additionally, win or lose notwithstanding, I would rather lose to a team who legit outplayed me, than try to force a "win" by camping and tunnelling, or playing an 'endgame build'. Falsely earned MMR hurts you in the long run, putting you against players who you don't stand a chance against without the less savoury tactics, which is partly why the game is in the state it's in.
couple of losses will move you back down the mmr bracket. just dont be afraid to lose after a streak of good games and you wont have to feel like you have to resort to camping(inneficient form of play that has little value if you want to win outside of endgame) and tunneling.

yes 100% bait bro, I love to face zoners over chasers :D
I enjoy the very fun gameplay of *check notes* Holding Shift + W cause the killer have the ability to shut down loops by pressing 2 inputs forcing me to move from tile to tile and pre-drop pallets praying that my team8s are holding M1 on gens (which they arent cause everyone is busy doing their glyph and totem challenges)
and running around in a circle all game around a dozen safe loops every single game is fun?

It's common to see a killer (with 2 survivors left) immediately reslug a survivor who is helped up or will just camp the slug. I dont see survivors running back into the map when the killer shows up at the exit.
if they are healthy they will. they wont take any risk of actually being downed unless they can immediately crawl out.

Not quite as simplified as that. The argument is that gen kick regression is overtuned to the point that breaking a strong 3 gen is too difficult if the killer is remotely competent. It's turning games into marathons on a regular basis, and that shouldn't be a thing.
part of the survivors responsibility is to not create a 3 gen in the first place. You misplayed for allowing it to happen and ar now penalised for it. just as many killers are penalised for allowing 3 gens on opposite sides of a map to occur.
Survivors really want zero consequences for their own misplays.
-
if they did, the radius needs to be smaller. basekit kindred at the range its at is too much. leaving hook should be made worthwhile but camping should not be completely discarded as an actual strategy. as basekit kindred would also let all survivors know where the killer is going after leaving the hook which is way too strong of a info perk for it to be activated up to 12 times a game.
-
this smells of a bait post.

What i asked was if anyone else had much slugging. I didnt even talk about camping initially and everything im asking is do you think the devs wants camping? becuase i get what @VillainousTurtles is saying but that doesnt have to do with my question i simply asked do you think the devs want camping in the game? yes or no? not if they care about camping...
Your exact wording was "strive for". The devs have stated MULTIPLE times over the years that camping and tunneling are valid strategies they dont want to take away from the game as there are cons to both of them regardless of how OP survs try to make them seem.
Survs definitely exaggerate how often these things actually occur as well as attribute (tunneling primarily) often times when it doesnt apply if they DID actually occur every game or every other game like all these people most certainly lie about (as well as facing blight and nurse 50% of their games) then yea addressing it and trying to mitigate it makes absolute sense. facing camping and tunneling every game is annoying just like when the clicky clicks and locker squads were in a huge number of matches. those were addressed due to their frequency being at a level it couldnt be ignored as a infrequent annoyance.
yes, BHVR is looking to addressing these 2 infrequent annoyances because this is all survs whine about on this forum(aside from gen slowdown).
But that does not mean BHVR actually has a problem with those 2 behaviors, its that they want to address what people are complaining about even though its likely very reluctantly as has been many of the changes they eventually did.
So no, obviously BHVR doesnt STRIVE for camping and tunneling in the game to answer your ridiculous question, but they most certainly condone it as a mechanic of the game but have been willing to make certain changes to make it less of a pain in certain circumstance(basekit BT for example being a healthy change)

Yes i get that and i also said that i believe everyone can play how they want... You're still not answering the question DO YOU think the DEVS WANTS CAMPING? do you think the strive for camping? its a yes or no question
Devs have stated multiple times over the years that camping and tunnelling are valid strategies to use. They are staring to address it now because every survivor pretends that every game is camping and tunneling when it occurs in less than 10% of my matches as survivor and i play quite a bit. And i dont think im being placed in special "no camping ques"

As long as nurse is in the game, no one has the right to complain about DH. It’s the only thing stopping her from downing you in 10 secs. I’m okay with deleting DH if they remove nurse and nerf alchemist ring
nurse has a pick rate of around 1%. DH is around 50-60%.

Take the risk instead of holding the slugged survivor hostage. Stop caring about the 4k. The only time it is acceptable to leave some one slugged is if they have boil over and keep running to a hook deadzone or a sabosquad. Anything else is morally wrong.
Time is something you can lose but never get more of, and for what? an extra kill? You will say its just 4 minutes. However it adds up. Some people may only have time for 3 games and if they get slugged and bled out that can lead to 20+ like what happened to me not that long ago with a myers that refused to hook me and refused to let me bleed out, which is why we crawl away, so you can't pick us up and walk around endlessly trying for that 4k. Now that 3 games is gone down to 1 really crappy game.
I'll never ever slug for the 4k, not even for a challenge. Rather just move on to the next game. BHVR really needs to add a bleed out mechanic so if your health bar depletes enough you can choose to die and gg next.
slugging isnt holding the game hostage. Its also not "morally" wrong. lmao

Its POSSIBLE its a false ban but that is doubtful. You wouldnt be the first cheater who comes to a forum to say how you didnt cheat. And if you knew how EAC works then you wouldnt have mentioned cheat engine as you would have already known that would not have been involved if you didnt use it to modify game files. Message support if you think its really an error but your chance of getting unbanned is pretty much zero.

cheat engine, it is a memory&hex editing program, u can use it for a variety of things, as the name implies cheating too and i sometimes have it open
EAC looks for what is being done to the game files. I use cheat engine too. EAC doesnt ban just cuz you have a very commonly used application. but if you used it to alter DBD files, yes it will take action.

EAC detected you altering the game files. EAC will not trigger on cheat engine unless your using it to modify dbd.

Do you expect killers to stop playing the game so you can just run around in a snowman? Its cute for one match, but im trying to play the game so if your just gonna walk around in a snowman dont be upset when in down you in it.
Im not gonna waste my game time so i can have 20 matches where no one wants to play the game and just stand around in a balloon.

If mid/average MMR was target for buff/nerfs, survivors would require major helping hand at this moment. SoloQ is super hard on every MMR level and SWF in mid MMR can't communicate effectively (A: "where are you?", B: "Next to a rock") - by this alone it should be clear survivors will be underperforming. And then there's also this other thing - a lot of perks that do almost nothing in high MMR are oppressive here (like overcharge with difficult to hit skillcheck).
But it's true, that in this MMR range nurse even with startstruck and range addons is not a game breaking problem. Auras like basekit BBQ would not be a problem. Still - game balance IS a problem.
kill rates are around where behavior wants them, and in fact are aiming to get the kill rate a bit higher and thus survivor escape rate down a bit.
So i dont think i agree about needing a helping hand tho yea an argument could be made about soloq

it not MIGHT. It WILL. Every aura reading perk will is super strong on high mobility killer LIKE nurse (but not limited to).
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3287553#Comment_3287553
Killers got brutal strength, STBFL, thanatophobia. Survivors got what? BT? Killers are actually the once getting more basekit perks
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3287579#Comment_3287579
That only means you are low MMR. When I play survivor, I see them every like 7th game. They are very common. Less then it used to be (thanks to wesker - who is another killer that highly benefits from basekit bbq), but still often.
ok, so if i am in the average mmr which i most definitely am, then you are complainign about something that occurs in high mmr, which is not where the majority of players are and not what the game is balanced around. Nurse wasnt invented when the devs expected people to play a party game competitively.
-
@Rovend said:

First of all, "High MMR" is a joke. If you had played enough dbd you should know that matchmaking can match 100h players with 7000h with no problem. I can be in a 10 losing streak and still be matched against 5000h nurses that should be in "high mmr".
Said that, nurses and blights still make 10-11% of the entire killer playerbase, so a buff that would make them even more powerful shouldnt be ignored.
based off the latest pick rates, both of them together would be 7% at most and matchmaking does still work, it may not be perfect but its still not just throw everyone together regardless of playtime. Hours also dont mean skill.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3287540#Comment_3287540
No, seriously. Once 1 survivor dies most of the time there's no point trying to struggle it out. The killer has to severely ######### up to lose a 1v3 at any point. Especially if there's 3+ gens remaining.
so...exactly what he said. you only want to play when you have a strong chance of winning.
You absolutely can win a 1v3 at 4 gens. Sounds like you could use some improvement, but hard to improve when you DC anytime you are at a disadvantage.

@Rovend said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3287579#Comment_3287579
Whether you face them or not does not change the fact that nurse and blight are two of the strongest killers. And general buffs like this would make them even stronger than the rest of the killer roster.
a killer with a 5% pick rate and mostly relegated to high mmr where most people arent are. while sure there is something to talk about there, i dont think its valid to argue against something that MIGHT impact 5% of your games, when the 5% should just be addressed accordingly as the community has whined about for years.
-
the totems spwsn REALLY need to be addressed/ with killer hexes being put right in the open with a peacon saying HEY COME CLEAN me, one of my favorite perks, devour hope almost NEVER pays off because its easily found and cleaned. most totems arent even in hidden spots, its in open spots and they should never be literally right next to a gen in the open.
Ive also spawned as survivor in a game standing next to a lit hex totem.
this is a problem and i dont know why it hasnt been addressed.
because boons are a big part of the game now and most survs with experience know where all the spawns of these totems are, hex totems by proxy have been nerfed to oblivion.
-
theres like 30 killers in the game and every survivor just goes "but nurse" any time a killer buff or change is made or suggested.
i see nurse like once in 50 plus games and its literally been like 100 games since ive seen a blight.
I think people use nurse and blight as an excuse to fight against killer changes they dont like.

It honestly does not really matter if the Survivor is good with Flashlights or not. If you are bad at avoiding them, this is still on you. You are the one constant thing in your games, if you are bad at the game (and many players in DBD are really bad at the game), you should improve. E.g. not picking up someone in the open if you are not sure if someone with a Flashlight is nearby.
Furthermore, if you get annoyed by Flashlights at Pallets... Well, this is again, a YOU-thingy. Usually Killers benefit from Survivors doing blinds at Pallets. If you are that bothered by Flashlights, just bring Lightborn into every Match.
did i say it was the survivors fault? no i did not so not sure why your trying to be condescending.
if 2 or more survs bring flashlights i bring lightborn. your not telling me anything new.

I don't see how I returned with the intent of tunneling. So after reviewing the clip like 30 times I am noticing that Jane existed and failed on the same skill check on the same gen, but due to the way that scratch marks work the only set I saw was Feng's. I honestly wasn't expecting her to do the unhook there because Ada had SO much time on stage 1 left and Reassurance is a thing which would explain her running to the hook. I did expect her to wrap around the rock which is why I went to cut her off. But the end positioning of Feng and myself had Feng placing Ada in between us.
Had I been able to get the hit on Feng during the unhook instead of being blocked by Ada I would have had a different choice, where its even between Feng and Ada, with either one being a one hit chase, assuming Feng didn't have borrowed time because it would take me more than 10 seconds to get Ada. Like it would still be a slightly stronger strategic decision to go after Ada to place her on death hook, but I would have the same in moment pressure either way, 1 person injured one in chase. My side wouldn't have severely punished for being nice during Feng's misstep, or calculated play vying for sympathy.
I will concede my comments on Ada's play were putting speculation on intent. I am fine as to say even that she is the victim here. However I would also state that its due to Feng's actions as survivor. Her actions dictated the choice. She effectively removed the pressure I had on survivors and reset her own chase at the risk of Ada being tunneled as the only good choice the killer could make. I see people placing the ownership of tunneling solely on the killer not recognizing survivors impact and agency with it. I like this clip because Feng made a choice to put me in the position where I have to choose between losing 100% of the pressure I have created or down the Ada. However despite that action people will still blame the killer for tunneling.
dont feel bad at all that you "tunneled"
Nowhere in the rules is it stated that you cant be hooked 2x in a row in an elimination game.
people just get mad because they feel entitled to escaping or not being the first person out.

I disagree, I see no problem with it, personally.
The only advantage the killer gets from this is seeing what items survivors are bringing, which would very rarely affect the build they decide to bring. I don't know many killers that would swap out a meta perk for something mediocre like Lightborn if they see a lobby with flashlights, or bring Franklin's just because there are a couple of toolboxes. At the end of the day, the true outcome of the match depends on the skill of the players and their perk build; not the items they bring. As I said, would it be really worth the killer's while to waste a perk slot on an item-specific perk just for them to find out it's a brown medkit, or a yellow toolbox?
2 or more flashlights, i bring lightborn just because i despise having to deal with them. I bring franklins for fun or for a bunch of medkits. toolbox franklins are pointless because they will have used the toolbox before you hit them.
I dont bother with meta perks, i use whatever perks i enjoy using.
-
ok thank you very much
-
is a bit slower than manually selecting but it also is far less tedious when you have 500k and up and you can just have it run while you do other things.
-
I just slap on perks i like, almost never have meta perks or if so just 1 and i do fine overall in my games in what i assume is mid mmr. 4 slowdowns arent needed unless actual sweat teams.

So by saying you don’t like Badham it’s basically like saying you don’t like bacon unless you’re a vegan, or a vegetarian, or meat is against your believe system, but I know they have many alternatives, and I’m sure the alternative bacon is just as delicious. So like Badham if you like bacon, or any of its deviations.

theres only a few different general playstyles.
you have looping and holding w in chase.
its not like you have a plethora of chase options.
looping is just running around the same TL or pallet spot 10-20 times every match too. Holding w is at least a change of pace from that.

If the first thing really happens "constantly", then it is a big fat YOU-Problem. Flashlight-Saves are super rare, especially against Killers who are mildly competent. If it happens "constantly" to you, then you might want to stop staring into the Flashlight like a moth.
Blinding at Pallets - this is not that bad, it is more beneficial to the Killer than if they get distance.
a little thing called hyperbole.
flshlight saves arent rare against people who bring them and are good at using them, though sure overall they are rare. but when they are in play yea multiple times a game they will get me if dont get them chased off beforehand.

dedicated servers are the real issue NOT lunges.. (there is a lot of regions that CANT go below 80 ms + validation is just a band aid)
and also laggy KILLERS - not survivors- .... gets this BS advantage....unlike other multiplayer games:
soo if the guy am playing against is from the Moon i have to adapt instead of playing normally?...
NOTE: BHVR still thinks that a ping of 80ms or more is "GOOD enought" soo am not sure about that...
I still think the server should always decide when a hit connects instead of taking priority on the killer end.
looks like you should have gotten more distance
-
google blood emporium. Auto buys for you. doesnt have anything to do with the game files so not a cheat.
-
SBTFL is a good excuse for tunneling 😏
-
in most cases i dont think you need 4 slowdown in majority mmr. I think a part of this perception is due to the fact of 1-3 gens pop in the first 3-4 mins usually often before you have more than 1 hook causing people to think they just lost the game(i have this happen a fair amount where i am like welp, i just lost). keeping calm, playing smart and keeping pressure is usually enough to greatly stall or slow the game giving you time to snowball. It may be a different story at high mmr, but most people arent high mmr.
and ive had plenty of games where the killer got 0 hooks before egc and then 3 or 4 of us died. the game isnt over till its over.
