Yup, it's already been said but if a game is affecting you irl in this way, the best thing to do is avoid what's triggering those behaviors for you and play something else
Alternatively, if you still wanna play the game, try to find a group to play private matches with
-
No. As long as you're not toxic, play how you want
-
You'll have to pry thana from my cold dead bloody legion hands bud
-
I think he does. His lore calls out "the million eyes that would watch him, run from him, experience him" as an incentive
Which tells me that he's aware of the players

I've said this a for a long time now but make each consecutive frenzy hit do more damage.
I.e
- 1st Hit - Survivor has Full DW bar
- 2nd Hit - Survivor has 2/3 bar
- 3rd Hit - Survivor has 1/3 bar
- 4th Hit - Instadown
Rewards Legion for getting all 4 hits without missing while making his power actually kind of scary.
That sounds like it could be a REALLY fun red add on

Hook rules/perks/challenges do not apply to the cages

It didn't seem like they were debating anywhere in the same ballpark for most of the discussion until the end and otz was kind of interrogating tru3 lol
But both still made good points. It seems like tru3's point was more about wanting devs to try out new ways to incentivize going for chases and rewarding more survivor interaction, which would make the game more fun. This would require the devs to try out new changes and maybe touch on gen speed or give survivors more objectives to do, and I'm for that.
There's a lot of talk about hooks vs kills, but the current state of the game already wants you to do both imo, except if you try to consciously interact with all 4 survivors in a match instead of taking people out of the game or away from objectives early, you'll just be "gen rushed" most of the time and end up with 4 survivors escaping. So hopefully the discussion gets devs to look into making the game more engaging, because camping/tunneling to lessen the load as killer to try and get a win definitely isn't the most fun way to play for either side.

About 50/50 yes and no
I've been playing since Dec 2020 and only seem to have fun when I win (3k or 4k)
Losses are usually stomps by survivors where gens fly and 3 or 4 escape, or keys are involved. 9/10 of those kinds of games end in toxicity too, and I haven't got thick enough skin for it to not bother me yet. Maybe when that happens it'll be more fun
-
Idk, he seems pretty balanced. The self-stun from using/missing POTD is pretty forgiving for survivors, especially when they don't hang around the same loop forever where they're going to eventually be hit
-
######### I relate to this so much
I'm garbage, <100hrs, and I keep climbing as killer and I'm about to hit red ranks
I just wanna be rank 15 man or whatever rank survivors won't teabag and point whenever I miss a hit or hold up the end game waiting by the exit gates jfc
Where are the chill survivors at lmfao
-
Closest thing this sounds like is I'm All Ears? But I mean, there are a lot of perks that let you see survivor auras already
-
I agree. Honestly, the best killers in the game (imo) are the original ones made by dbd. Not licensed......except Pyramid Head, what a guy
People keep saying candyman and chucky, but who'd wanna play as them?? Even now with rumors that the next killer could be the girl from the Ring, it's just not very exciting
-
Am I the only one who doesn't see most of these issues people talk about? They fixed the desync issue which was the biggest thing
Animations, lag, connection problems? Where? I'll give you Huntress hatchet hitboxes tho that's busted af
-
Pffffft practically a subscription service for the perks fam don't give the devs ideas like this
-
Nah, there are too many positives with playing killer. Shorter queue times, more unique abilities/characters to choose from, chances of winning/losing are mostly on your shoulders alone rather than on a group of people
Plus it's easier to vent playing the side that can attack rather than run and hide and m1 on a gen
-
Hey I'm interested :) here's my discord: Meat!#3796
-
PH v Oni would not even be close. PH would win for sure
-
Idk, if you see any other survivor bringing a key, just don't bring in anything you don't wanna lose ;)
-
Humans
-
Facts, I had a Bubba nodding at me from across the map and all I could do was teabag, come on BHVR I just wanna nod not be toxic
Ok, but honestly I'm fine with the new hud. Idc what BHVR does with it, it doesn't give me a headache, and honestly it's done more good for me than bad. I like the icons and hook counter. It's actually simpler for me to look in one place and see one piece of info than everything clustered in one corner
Other than that, breaking the game with each update does suck. Some bugs are expected but it takes a long time for them to get fixed

If you like the new animations are you going to play survivor more? Or are you just one of those people who will say the animations are awesome and then never touch survivor again and stick to killer? So far everyone i've seen support the animations hardly plays survivor or will not be playing survivor much after this change.
I'll play as much as before; about 60% killer, 40% survivor

This might be a bit hypocritical, but your experiences aren't everyone else's. And besides, I have seen way more people against the ui then for it
I understand that for sure. The complaints just seem exaggerated to me, and I wanted to show that not everyone feels that way and that it's not a huge deal. That would be my opinion though
-
I like the new animations
The new HUD has grown on me
The mangled change is nice
I haven't personally experienced any hitbox issues I haven't seen before
Devs have said it's not so easy to make changes in the time between PTB and pushing to live. Maybe they'll change what so many people are crying about
But if not, it's not the end of the world. Truly, go play something else if these changes bother you so much
-
I agree. I honestly think the complaints regarding survivor animation are overblown. It's not *that* bad. Literally saw someone say it's bad enough to get an animator fired, I mean excuse me?? Guarantee that if the survivor animations were always like this, no one would say anything
The UI though......yikes
-
Can confirm, there are multiple issues like this on Backwater Swamp (like another post said, killers can't walk around the gen that spawns on the tiny boat even though it looks like you can)
Very unfair as killer whenever this map shows up currently
-
Pyramid Head
And maybe Frank, but only in the Robbie suit
-
No
But then, people always DC in the dumbest moments for me. Like after first hook or when I pick them up and they're at death hook. Like if you'd just waited, you'd have gotten some sweet bloodpoints or seen the endgame screen barely 10 seconds later
-
How grindy this game is. I'm a new player and have spent well over 1mil BP unlocking BBQ + trying to get it to appear in another killer's bloodweb. Still haven't gotten it
Also, when I lose a game badly as killer and have to wait while survivors let the egc go down to the last millisecond before leaving. If I try to chase them out myself, they just teabag and juke everything, then I look at the end game scoreboard and they all have meta perks and are several ranks higher than me. I don't even care about losing but it'd be nice if 95% of my lost games didn't end with me getting bm'd for being new or not playing well
-
They should totally all have voice lines if anything. At least when they're being chased, hooked, or downed
But unless killers are buffed in some way, survivor abilities could be easily unbalanced on top of perks and teamwork
-
It's very annoying when you're already going out of your way to save them
As killer, I've only had it hurt me when there are 2 survivors alive, all 3 of us know where the hatch is, I hook one survivor, and they let themselves die early on hook so I don't have time to make it back to the hatch before the last survivor leaves :)
Only valid application I've seen
-
3 gens done by the time I can injure the first survivor
Even worse, missing hits because of how some killer's abilities increase mouse sensitivity for no reason
-
I think it's more understandable on PC since you just type in a quick "gg" for sportsmanship and move on. Messaging specific people on console or other sounds like too much work though. Can't imagine it would be for any other reason than to BM you somehow, and salty players absolutely need to let you know how much your gameplay ruined their day, because suffering alone isn't human nature 🤷♀️
-
Uhhhh yes please? Does everyone have bbq? Lmao, why do people have to rely on paid killer's perks and hundreds of thousands of BP to get a teachable perk by chance in order to get more BP?
More BP please

Legion applies "Deep wound" which causes that bleeedout timer you mentioned. Survivors in your matches are probably exhausting the meter and then sprinting around and as soon as they stop sprinting they collapse. You can die in some pretty funny meme-tastic ways using that too btw....
Here:
Deep Wound State
Refer to the Status Effect
This Health State is also a Status Effect inflicted by various Unlockables.
While Deep Wounded, Survivors are on a bleed-out timer (shown as an orange bar on the HUD) until they either mend themselves, are mended by another survivor or the timer runs out.
The bleed-out timer is paused as long as the affected Survivor is running or mending. Partial mending progress is saved if the interaction is interrupted.
If the bleed-out timer reaches zero, the Survivor will fall into the Dying State.
As a unique side-effect of Madness
Survivors cannot mend themselves if they are on Madness Tier III, but can still be mended by other Survivors that are not on that Tier.
@Aven_Fallen said:
There is no way to drop it via anything the Survivor can do, since Mending does not have any Skillchecks.
Since you are new, you are probably playing at a low rank. Chances are high that the Survivors dont know what to do at this point and go down (this can also be seen at higher Ranks that people simply dont mend for whatever reason).
Thanks for the info!
