I think one of the reasons that this game isn't dead is the achievable content, the grind (while painful and monotonous) is actually very rewarding,
I remember having fun with my newely prestiged trapper and I just felt this sense of not having everything and instead I had a challenge.
I could never do all archives lol, 571 hrs and like I still just rush the pages on killer bc I'm better as them and then just start working backwards for surv. Some of the garbage like do 60 stuns with pallets makes me wanna go to sleep and not wake up ever again.
What's keeping me into DBD is learning, I love playing nurse RN bc I'm garbage, no joke, it makes me feel so happy when I actually get a few kills and I feel like I'm learning.
In conclusion, I wish this game had like more achievements or like passive in game challenges like a challenge journal (that aren't super grindy instead it's just like encouraging people to play with all of there characters for example if you have a character you have a challenge like play 3 games with their 3 unique perks so you have an incentive to try everyone) written by some body from the lost tapes with just a bunch of challenges with BP rewards or hell even IShards.
(And give me something to do with BP pls after P3'ing everyone)
Completely agree! One thing I'd add aswell is I'd like to add rewards for the Devotion system. The shards are nice and if you save up it means you can buy a chapter that may not be worth the real life money(IMO Twins) although this idea dosent seem far off. As they're starting to add BP for your end of season rank.
-
Rank 1 both sides but I'm a solo survivor main, 70/30, 1K hours so I'm far from the best:/
Every achievement
Every Archive challenge done
Still trying to P3 everyone.
The reason DBD Isnt boring to me yet is because I'm constantly challengeing myself to try new things on both sides. Whever it's a variety of builds, winning without a mechanic(no vaulting/No power) or even setting a unique goal for each match such as a perk roulette. And I can't escape until I've used every perk once.
One other reason, games others consider very repetitive and Dull I wound up going on to have thousands of hours in.
So at least to me DBD is still kicking, but if they keep refusing to listen to they're player base even the die hard supporters are going to leave. I hate seeing this game squander it's potential

My source is "Trust me Bruh" so take this with a grain of Salt
Rift is likely to go live next Wednesday, the updates will probably come together

Don’t get me started on Santa clown
But what about Lord of the underworld? His Curvilous Belly combined with the feet to end all foot fetishes..

That belly makes me swoon

Good job Friend! Don't worry, alot of people don't think they belong in Red Rank when they first get there. But it'll pass.
If I may make a suggestion? I recommend you go out of your way to challenge the Killer in chases. When I first reached red ranks I was also worried whenever a match began. But I got over this fear when I started engaging more with the killer, alot of red rank Killers are pretty good in chases and you'll become a better player by engaging with them more.
Best of luck, you got this.

Need I say anything?
B-but Susie is cute yes B--b-but Julie exists D:
-
I'm not the best looper, but one time against a Pyramid Head I was doing pretty good for myself. I looped him for around 4 GENS when he suddenly stopped I just stopped and waited for him instead of Tbagging(never seen the point in bullying people)
I decided to give him a free hit, vaulting a window and using the "Come on emote" I was injured and we continued the chase.
However he didn't manage to catch me. And as the last Gen popped he DC'd. I felt pretty bad and as I was secretly cheering the guy on despite us being opponents. But he came off as distressed with his pauses in chases.
-
I beg your pardon good sir?
-
The same reason Sports teams go back and forth about they're respective teams. Some Console and PC players both believe they're respective systems are superior then they're rival platforms. So they push it on the other side constantly, that's why years on in 2021 this debate is still on going.
Honestly? I just laugh it off, you have your corners and I have mine. At the end of the day we're all gamers, some people forget about this. I make it my goal to never forget
-
Ever heard the legend of "DripzDarva?" Legend has it not even Zubatlel/Truetalent and Otzdarva(whoever he is...) can catch him in a 1v3. Especially in the Cowshed.
His Motto? "With Rags like those not even the godpallet can save you"
-
I don't care what ANYBODY thinks. Monstrous Shrine is op and I will hear no arguments to the contrary. This perk along with Territorial Imperative need to be nerfed to the ground!
-
Challenge all the way. I enjoy trying to use unique pathing to avoid his power. Some of my most fun games as of late have been vsing Blight. Unfortunately he's become more rare as of recent. Hope to see more Blight players soon
-
I can only speak for myself, but about 70% of my opponents are PC, The other 30% are console players like me. I can tell they're PC due to the legacy clothing and when they unleash they're inner Michael Jackson and moonwalk around the map.

Daddy Myers works with the killer to eliminate his teammates
Susie sang "Baka Mitai" when keys got nerfed then created a fresh forum account to complain in an 4000 word essay

Daddy Myers uses a key every round and he Urban Evades to every locker avoiding gens at all costs until he is that last one alive so he can use hatch!
Susie does everything you just said...but runs bond to sandbag then blames her injured team for not looping for 5 gens;)

Wait... I've played against you as nurse recently. I remember your name I won that game. You probably don't remember me tho I have a different name on steam
I too have a completely different name on here then what I go by on Xbox.
-
Bravo! I agree. I'm going to try and talk about afew things that have been on my mind with DBD for awhile. I'll try and utalise what you've said.
-
I use to embrace and promote toxicity when I played alot of Overwatch, I'd cue in competitive mode not to play it, but to argue with the infamously toxic players. I enjoyed it for awhile, but it started making me unhappy. So I decided to take a day where I was positive instead of negative.
I never changed back.
I'm not trying to tell you to stop embraceing toxic behaviour, play how you want but I'd recommend a day where you ignore/defuse situations instead of embraceing them.
-
I almost always come across Neas trying to be the next Noob3, I'm sure there are nice neas out there though.
I main Jake and Cheryl
Jake: Either very good or very bad at the game but usually humble regardless of the result.
Cheryl: Most Cheryl's I come across are babysitters to they're team. Some will even die to ensure the others win. Good looper.
-
Ever since playing through Silent Hill 3 I've had a small crush on Cheryl, so I'd say her.
As for the original characters I'd say Kate.
No opinion on the Doods

Haha I've been there man. I used to dodge Legacy just like you. But keep on playing and it won't be long before other players will fear you just as you feared Legacy!
You're right! I beat my fear when I stopped dodging challenges not just as survivor but Killer too. I'm not sure if I'm good enough to be feared yet but hey with enough practice we can all get there!
I appreciate the motivation friend:)

Me too, I always feel bad for holding back the better players. So sometimes I pretend I'm the entity in human forum and my goal is to sabotage from within. It's not true though, I'm just bad ;_;
The entity in human form sabotaging the game?? That explains the Urban Evasion Nea players I come across haha.
A way that I stopped myself from being intimidated by my own team was by running a support build with For The People! This allowed me to support the team and if used correctly can actually aid your team heavily and help them win. That's how I conquered my fear.
As for crumbling under pressure in stuff like chases, still happens to me a fair bit😅 but we'll both get there!
-
Had a Ghostface once Down then Tbag me constantly, never Hooking me or targeting another player. Every time I was picked up he'd knock me down immediately(Soul Guard didn't exist) this went on repeat until I died.
It was annoying in the fact that I was hardly playing. But I've definitely gotten more upset
-

Awww, so wholesome. I'm sure you would've played just fine with them :D
Bless you Ghoste:), honestly the reason I got so intimidated was because this was around when cross play just came out. And I knew Legacy players were no joke. I have a habit of crumbling under pressure.
-
I main Slinger and he has arguably the worst teachable perks in the game. However I do play quite abit of Freddy aswell, And like using his main perks in an Endgame build along with Rancor or NOED. Supriseingly fun vs a SWF
-
I've only dodged a lobby once, When I loaded in to the game I was met by THREE Legacy Dwights, 2 had flashes and 1 had a key. Worst part was one of them was a TTV. Now I'm not the best DBD player, but 98% of my hours are solo queuing. So I'm use to holding my own and I don't often neec to rely on others besides an unhook. However I got cold feet and Lobby dodged what was likely a free win, I just had a feeling I'd have done something stupid if I played.
-
Congrats on the milestone!
-
For me Oni and Deathslinger are so much fun to play.
-
I love playing them both. Oni csn be Fiddly on tiles like JPA said but you'll get the hang of it.
And with Slinger? I just love hitting insane quick scope shots with him.
For Oni I run Corrupt, Ruin, BBQ and Infections Fright. I'm in the process of getting back to red ranks but this build is still to let me down.
On Slinger I run the Meta gen defence build. Tinkered, Ruin&Undying and Discordance (sometimes I swap out Discordance for corrupt if I feel lucky.) and he's honestly the most fun I've had in DBD in awhile. When gens are less of an issue killer is alot less stressful thus more fun.
But general tips?
For Deathslinger his reeling meter dosent appear for half a second after hitting a survivor, during this half a second he can still move around corners, take advantage of this!
For Oni when dashing with your power try to strafe from side to side, It'll make Demon Dash which is usually easily avoided harder to evade as the survivors will have to guess

Thank you, I forgive you as well. I really appreciate the offer. However, I feel the best way for me to handle anger and sadness is with myself. I am not good at expressing myself and dealing with emotions. I am not really comfortable to talk with other people about my issues and feelings. I appreciate you doe, a really nice thing of you to say!
Thank you 😁 and I understand, I hope you can find peace and get through your problems. My thoughts are going your way brother. All the best:)

You were correct. I took my anger out on you guys, sorry about that.
You're forgiven. And I hope you can forgive me in return. It was a [BAD WORD] move to poke at you.
I'm not sure what you're currently going through, and I know the forums aren't the place to go about it. but if you need anyone to talk to i offer my assistance, the DBD community is like a family and we should have eachother backs. Even if what's usually on our backs is eachother haha

What was the point of saying that? I'm obviously pissed, why do you feel the need to make somebody more pissed than they already are? And it's not you guys that I'm mad at. I'm pissed at something in real life.
Well I'm sorry you're going through what you're going through. And I know I've known you a whole 9minutes but I hope things get better for you.
But the reason I poked the bear so to say was because your original comment came off as aggressive. And when nobody agreed with you, you didn't decide to go back to the drawing board with your idea. But decided to try and close the discussion in damage control. I think because of your personal issues you were looking for a positive response as a sort of coping mechanism. But got even more upset when afew people said the idea just wouldn't work.
Now that I see this is likely the case I apologies and hope it gets better. But if I'm wrong again, then grow up

Seriously read what I just wrote, "I want to say that you wouldn't be able to see survivors auras or images of the survivors on the minimap". Also, when did I say that you would be able to see the killer on the minimap? That would insanely OP and game breaking.
Oops I missed that, my mistake.
But yeah I'll still stick with auras and not a minima thanks
-
@AggressiveFTW said:
Would you like to have a minimap? I am mostly thinking about survivors getting one, but I guess it would be fine if the killer would also.
I'm against it personally. As long as you don't fall asleep on a gen you can use your eyes and ears to hear a killer coming.
As for seeing your teammates this would be a qol buff for solo Q players like me. But seeing someone move on the map likely won't help you tell if they're being chased like Bond Or AfterCare does.
-
@AggressiveFTW said:
title
Killers that are just reincarnations of other killers. I'd love to see more Unique killers like the Twins or even Freddy when he was first released(although he was underpowered)
Examples: Slinger is just Legion and Huntress put together.
Freddy's rework turned him in to a killer that had better traps then Trapper and the ability to cross the map like a nurse in less time.
Oni Is a yes man's hillbilly
And then there's range based killers.
Dont get me wrong. These killers are still fun to play, however if the game boiled down to just Traps/Run Very Fast/And Random BS go then it would kind of suck

I'd like to propose a change to DS
When ever you're fully Healed, begin working on a gen, and of course the 60 seconds. The Perk deactivates, that's all. The reason Killers get so mad at DS is because you can abuse the Perk by working on gens in they're faces. Whilst they could slug most people bring UB to counter the counter. This change still prevents the Killer tunneling you, but means you can't abuse the Perk as much as before. Unless if the Killer wants to follow you like a puppy for 60 secs
