Dredge and Singularity are scary.
Unknown looks more goofy than scary.
-
I love it as survivor, the LT walls and the shack ere the structures I play better when playing survivor, however I hate facing both as killer, very time wasting, specially if they spawn connected to other good structure.
-
She is so beautiful, and also have a big BUTT. I'm going to buy her for sure. 😊
I'm killer main and I don't usually buy survivors, the last survivor I bought was Vittorio, but she deserves my attention. The bad thing is that now I have to save 18k iri shards.

Genuine question.
No maps being changed for survivors.
No meaningful perk buffs coming.
No new mechanics that benefit survivors.
No limited game-modes or events that are beneficial to survivors.
No solo-queue changes.
Seems like the only thing survivors can get excited about are skins these days.
If I'm wrong please correct me. But being a survivor main is rough.
How are we feeling about the role?
Which map need changes for survivors? In the last patch the devs added pallets and loops in a deadzone of an already survivor sided map (Ormond).
There are meaningful perk buffs announced for survivors: Decisive Strike.
What mechanic do you need that benefit survivors?
I agree with the limited time events being more balanced, the Lights Out event was clearly killer sided.
The only solo-queue change I think they can further implement at this point is Kindred being base kit. I would be ok with that.
-
The people saying "it isn't seen often, it is not a problem" are wrong.
Something not being seen often is not a reasong for not touching it if that is OP.
Grim Embrace + Dead Man's Switch combo is not as popular as most of the people expected before the last patch dropped and it doesn't mean that it shouldn't be addressed.
In my games the combo is not one of the most frequents, but the few times it is used by someone it feels very unsatisfying to face, specially when survivors use it for free escapes.
-
A strong killer needing a buff because she/he is bad in indoor maps is a poor reason for buffing her/him considering that the buff also make the killer too powerfull in the rest of the outdoor maps (the majority of the maps).
I consider ok a buff to killers which are weak overall and even weaker in indoor maps, singularity is the perfect example, but not the huntress, not even remotely.
-
NO!!
In fact it is my most hated offering by far and feels unfair, the fact that everyone have go to one map just because one person decided to go there with a cheap green offering feels really bad Also, they are mostly used by survivors for going to survivor sided map (Gideon Meat Plant, Ormond, RPD, Garden of Joy,...) and the killers use them in very few cases, mostly Scratched Mirror Myers and they are very infrequent. I don't even like it when playing survivor and other suvivor use it, Gideon Meat Plant is a boring pallet galore and I'm being sent there by other survivor frequently.
They introduced the counter-offering Sacrificial Ward as a bandaid solution for the people who don't like to be sent to a map, but nobody use it because using an offering just in case they use an offering for a map you don't like make you waste an offering slot frequently.
-
The Huntress buff is a nonsense, she is already one of the killers with the highest pickrate, nobody have complained about her being weak or asked buffs for her, at least in the last few years and despite all that, she will receive the highest buff of the next patch or at least on par with The Clown buff. What's the point?
Meanwhile The Pig is being buffed and nerfed at the same time. The "nerf pig" meme becoming a reality again.
-
Sound ON always.
There are very few games in which the sound is more important than DBD, specially when playing killer because the survivor have the visual cue of the heartbeats since some patches ago, but the killers need to hear the steps, the breaths, hurt survivor moans, etc.
-
Combine gen regression with chase perks. In chase you should also learn to do mindgames and not rely only in perks: hide the red stain, learn the structures for anticipating survivor actions, in the loops give the survivors the bad side of the pallet, etc. In some cases you will lose despite all of that anyway, because you are in a survivor sided map, you are playing a weak killer, you are playing in a bad map for that killer, etc. But learning all the things I've said your kill rate will increase for sure.
-
I don't get why they only showed the High MMR and Overall and not Low MMR too. Because I'm stuck in low MMR as survivor, I escape maybe 1/5 matches (20%) without counting hatch escapes (which doesn't affect the MMR), I play in SWF very rarely too but in duo, not a complete premade and most of the times this happen due team mates playing really bad, lasting 15 seconds in chase, hidding, not repairing and so on. I'm not specially good but I can asure that I'm better than at least two of my team mates in most of the matches and I'm always feeling that I'm being paired with people below my skill, also, I'm being paired with people with 50-100 hours quite frequently. I think the main problem of this is the MMR only take into consideration the escapes, not your performance in the match (altruistic actions, boldness,...).
As killer is a different story, I'm mostly OK with my matches and the skill of people I'm playing against, sometimes they are worse than me, sometimes they are better and sometimes we are at the same skill level. It doesn't feel as polarized as the survivor experience.
-
Shou Tucker was a visionary.
-
BUFF PYRAMID ASS!!!!
-
TL;DR: I'll leave the game because Blight is less OP now.
-
Artist is one of killers with the highest skill ceiling, an average player don't like to play hard killers usually.
Dredge is weak and map dependent, in maps with few or bad positioned lockers he is trash. Also most of the survivors already know how to play against him and against the remnant mindgames.

I've met killer mains before who said they don't use them because they consider it toxic. Its like fatalities in Mortal Kombat. You don't have to do them but a lot of people do them to bad mouth their opponent.
How a game mechanic of an offering is toxic? it is just a cool cutscene which make every killer even more unique. When playing survivor I prefer to die in the hook instead of being moried, sure, but it doesn't mean I consider it something toxic. Also, considering how rare the mori offerings are because most people perfer to use BP offerings make the mories feels like a waste of resources when designing a killer, a finishin mori would make them more frequent so it doesn't feel like something wasted in every killer.
-
I see Doctors quite frequently. In fact I think he is in the top 5 of killers I see more frequently.

Never needed a nerf??? The perk was simply busted for a long time.
Busted?? The perk was only good with mid to low tier killers, it wasn't good with any of the high tier or top tier killers, the perk was a must for Pig for example and very good for M1s which are the weakest killers.
-
Distortion is one of the most awfull perks of the game imo, I hate it and it is becoming more and more popular since the buff.
It can potentially counter several killer perks at once with just one perk slot.
Builds with Nowhere to hide + Lethal pursuer are quite frequent, or Nowhere to hide + BBQ. Also some killer addons.
"But killers have perks which can counter several survivor perks at once" and it is not bad, because is just 1 person against 4.
If Distortion become popular to a point of seeing it equiped by 2-3 persons per match, killers will stop to equip aura reading perks and will equip even more gen regression/protection perks and will end up being worse for survivors, because the meta builds for killers are usually gen perks + information perks and the information perks are frequently aura reading.
-
I've only played Trapper and Myers so far.
Myers because is like playing Scratched Mirror with tier 2 and tier 3 of his power but without auras.
Trapper because the traps are harder to see in the darkness and because survivors can't see you placing the traps from afar.
I want to try Nemesis because maybe zombie auras can still be seen and zombies help you to track survivors and because the zombies are more dangerous in this mode.
I was thinking in trying Oni because he should very strong in this mode, but one of the maps is Lery's which is very bad for him, so idk.
-
I've only played 4-5 matches as killer and it is fun, but have its flaws, but considering it is an "event" it is not that bad. I don't plan to play survivor NEVER in this mode, because it is like playing against a Scratched Mirror Myers everytime and I don't like the jumpscares haha, well, maybe one or two days with friends.
My thougts:
- Some killers are useless, any killer whose power interact with the terror radius in any way is "unplayable" in this mode (Legion and Doctor). Other killers are simply bad because they're weak and not having any perk or addons...
- Not having scratch marks make you lose the survivors too frequently, the blood splatters and survivor moans are still there, but the survivor are lost too frequently despite that, specially in Yamaoka. I'm not saying the scratch mark should stay as they do in the main game mode, but at least scratch marks which last two seconds would be enought, with two seconds of scratch marks you can chase survivors without losing them so frequently and they still can roam the map without letting the killer track them while not being chased. Also, the people is smart and I've seen a lot of Adas and Aces in my matches (they have the most quiet moans of all survivors).

Meg is my forever main but when I'm just collecting stats or wanting a change I play survivors in rotation & that might very well be my new Feng style!
Already use the head but love it honestly!
I'm glad you liked it to the point of considering using it yourself. ^_^

You don't care about toxic names as Survivor?
No, because the toxicity is usually against the killer. 🤣
-
In my case:
When playing killer
- TTVs.
- Three or four clone survivors (sometimes when there are only two clones, but way less frequently).
- Maps if playing Trapper (if they have the addon to see the killer belongings your power become useless).
- "Toxic" names.
When playing survivor:
- There are a survivor or more with 100-150 hours or less.
-
Adrenaline needs some nerf but not huge ones or a complete rework as happened with Dead Hard for example.
The nerfs I think Adrenaline needs:
- Not activating when you are already exhausted.
- Not activating when a team mate unhook you if you were hooked when the last gen was finished, or at least not healing you automatically and only give the speed bonus.
- Not waking you up if you are in the dream world against Freddy.
Aside that, I think the perk is fine.
-
No, for several reason.
I didn't play his games.
He is not appealing aestetically imo.
His perks are mid at best.
He is a licensed character (not buyable with iridiscents).
-
That was removed because the keys allowed you to leave a match before finishing, it was by far the most broken survivor item in the game, that was literally like pressing "leave match" button but without penalisation and maintaining the points and items, a total non sense.
Also, the keys are not obsolete, in fact they have some good addons, one of the addons give you wallhacks for some seconds and you cand extend the first chase a lot, keys are just massively underrated (and I'm glad for that tbh).
-
When I face that kind of premades sometimes if I'm in a good mood I play and win a lot of points but if I don't want to play because I just don't want to earn point and amuse a group of friends I simply go to one exit gate and face the switch, when they notice I'm afk they usually go and repair gens quickly for leaving.

People hate her because they don't understand her counterplay + they hate her because of her past.
You can avoid her drones in many ways and even in chase too, just stand for a second or crouch for like second when the beam is going for you and watch her drones rotation, because in some cases, you can have enough window to avoid the beam before getting hit from SM. Yes, you can't loop her well but that is how the power is designed and how many many killer powers work. Try looping Nemesis, Artist, Xeno, Slinger on some loops, Pyramid Head, etc...
Survivors play againts her mindlessly as well. When I play her, nobody tries to do anything and even when attemping to disable drones it is usualy not needed for them to disable it or they get scaned / injured in process or get injured for free with info on them just running around.
I think she is overhated. She is not the most fun to verse killer lets say or most skillfull, but she rly isn't that much different or horrible than your avarage M2 anti-loop killer. People just overreact and hate her from past and lack of effort from survivor side too.
I suscribe everything, I was thinking to write more or less the same haha.
-
Feng Ming is the cutest, you don't admit it because you hate her.
Even her moans when she is hurt are cute.

It's gone from the Autohaven maps that have received layout updates. Wretched Shop and Blood Lodge, I think. Gas Heaven was also updated but I forget if that map even has a bus tile.
Azarov's and Wrecker's Yard should still have the old fun bus.
They aren't gone in every updated map.
I was very surprised when I noticed that the infamous window of Mother Dwelling main building still exist after the update, the amount of time a survivor can make you waste is insane, specially if you are playing an M1 killer.
EDIT: sorry I've read your post incorrectly and I thought you meant general map updates not only Autoheaven.

I think the opinions are almost always very uninformed, usually stemming from a bias for which role or character they main. While there is some good feedback the community gives, like the outcry when they tried to nerf Billy's engravings a while back. Most of it is just begging for their overpowered crutches to return so they can abuse them. "Revert Circle of Healing, buff Dead Hard, buff Pain Res, buff Pop."
There are a lot of uninformed opinions, but usually that opinions get few upvotes and a lot of people quoting them with arguments against them, so I think that kind of feedback is not taken seriously by BHVR, at least I hope so.

What was the reason to provide even more Slowdown with buffing the Kicks from 2,5% to 5%?
Letting Survivors repair 2,5% of progress would have already been a fix to gentapping.
No, with 2.5% the gen tapping don't exist but it needs only 2.25 seconds to stop the regression, The gen regression cannot be longer stopped mid chase but 2.25 seconds is still too few so a survivor can stop a regression with the killer nearby. The 4.5 seconds needed for a 5% progression is the sweet spot imo.
-
@Devil_hit11 said:
it sounds like a buff to 3 gens.
5% of 90 seconds is only 4.5 seconds, you have to repair a generator only 4.5 seconds to stop the regression, none of the killer can defend three gens without letting the survivor repairing 4.5 seconds to stop the regression.

But then why would I not drop it? I want the killers path blocked. If I don't, I'll go down. I don't understand the concept of saving them. Save them for what? If I'm in danger, I have to protect myself.
Because if you drop the pallets too quickly you can become large portions of the map a dead zone too quickly and it is detrimental for you and your team mates later.
I suggest you to save pallets and only drop them if you are injured. There are a few exceptions in which is better to drop a pallet if you are not injured, for example: you are in Exposed state (obvious); the killer is the clown and you are affected by the gas, its dangerous to no predrop the pallet because he can hit yo easily again due the hindered effect; you are facing the Oni and he still didn't injure anybody, in this case is better to pre drop a pallet all the time because until he achieve his first hit he is a basic M1 killer with no power and delaying the first injure is recommended to stop his snowball.
-
I would like it too.
The old Freedy before the big rework again but keeping the teleporting power, the addon of all the generators sheeding blood when teleporting basekit, reducing the amount of time needed to pull the survivors into the dream world (it was 7 seconds if I remember correctly) and giving him good addons.
-
At his point I'm startint to think that the hate train towards the Skull Merchant is simply a trend and not based on something objetive.
I've played as her a good amount of times and the survivor gave up to me very few times, not more than when I play other killers and survivos realize they're going to lose. So the "survivors give up against Skull Merchant" is an urban legend invented by her haters.
The "she still can hold 3 gens", well, A lot of killers can do and for example the Knight is better in that purpose currently, also high mobility killers like Nurse or Blight are better in that purpose than her and nobody compain about them in that sense.
Also the Skull Merchant isn't even a popular killer, I face one of them every 20 matches or less.

Have you ever played against Trapper one match and then the next match you're paranoid looking for Traps even though he's not the killer this time lol. This happens to me every time! It's embarrassing lol 😆
Yes, it happen to me almost always, and I feel very relaxed when I remember I'm not still facing the trapper. 🤣
-
I used to equip Kindred a lot but after the UI update to see what are the team mates doing I feel less necessary to equipo Kindred.
If a survivor is hooked and I'm repairing a generator with another survivor I expect the other survivor doing nothing is the one who go to unhook, sometimes the survivor don't go to unhook, but then if I see nobody is going to unhook then I go. If there are three survivors repairing I expect the one with the less advanced generator to go to unhook.
If a survivor is hooked and in death hook and there are one without hooks I expect him to go for the unhook.
-
In my case is more than three.
Trapper: I know he is one of the weakest killers, but the constant fear of stepping on a trap make me feel very unconfortable when playing against him. The funny thing is he is one of my mains, haha.
Hag: Same reason as Trapper but she is stronger and more annoying.
Ghostface: the constant fear of being marked make me feel very unconfortable when playing against him, you have to spin the camera all the time while in a generator and also a lot of times when you spot him it's too late if he hides decently.
Blight: OP and annoying.
Nurse: Same reasons as Blight.
Clown: Annoying blurry screen all the time, annoying to be forced to predrop a lot of pallets.
Deathslinger: I always have a bad time facing him, I'm not good at dodging his shots.
Huntress: same reason as Deathslinger.
-
This perk is another victim of the power creep, in fact it wasn't too good at first.
-
Some time ago if you saw a MacMillan oferring you should fear because it was used by competitive players for practicing because MacMillan used to be one of the most popular maps for the competitive scene, specially Coal Tower. If the survivors putting the offering are bad maybe it's a coincidence, they usually put Garden of Joy, The Game and RPD when I play killer.
-
Basically you can crouch and approach or approach eviting the drone beams to a gen guarded by a drone and repair it safely, if the beams hit you while you are repairing they doesn't detect you.
-
Demogorgon. He is maybe the only killer having brown addons better than most of the yellow ones, most of the green ones and most of the purple ones.
Pyramid Head. Most of his addons are trash, the red and purple ones are a joke except the Iridiscent seal which is not that good considering it is a red addon.
The Knight. His best addon is brown. 😕
-
More than the loading times the thing annoy me the most is they changed the game intro and put it after the first loading screen, before it was just after starting the game, now you have to press space, skip the intro and continue to the next loading screen. Before this change I could skip the intro, press space, go to take a leak and when I was back the game was already in the main menu, now I have to press space, wait the loading screen and skip the intro before taking a leak. Anti QoL change tbh. 😡

Anti-gen perks deserves a nerf then.
No, they aren't popular for the same reason.
WoO is popular because it let you play with the autopilot brainless mode.
Gen regression perks are popular because without them the third generator is repaired just after the second hook in a lot of scenarios.
-
More than generators speed (repairing them is already boring) is the lack of a secondary and mandatory objetive for survivors (without considering the opening of the gates).
Some people have mentioned several times that a good secondary objetive would be finding a piece of generator in the map before starting to repair them and without that piece the survivor repairs that generator at 75% speed or so. I like the idea.
Currently killers rely too much on gen regression/protection perks and the meta builds have at least two of them making the suitable killer builds a bit boring if you don't want to lose 80% of the matches, so the idea of the pieces would slow the game a bit, making the gen regression/protection perks a bit less mandatory and making the survivor do one more thing other than just hold M1 and press space.
