I'm looking at the evidence presented
I'm just keeping an open mind.
Oni isn't here to defend his case so we have to go on what Steve says.

Screenshots don't show any evidence of this, and since survivors typically can't see the aura of hooks, it is likely that they didn't notice the hook was gone. But sure, assume the worst thing about people all the time, that'll get you far in life.
But, isn't that what your doing with OP assuming the worst.

I disagree with the statement that Friday the 13th would be neck and neck with DBD if it wasn't for the lawsuit. I played the game. It was fun and different but it had real issues in terms of balance, replayability and fun. The thing I thought that was particularly cool about it was the environmental kills. I wish DBD would take a page out of their book and introduce environmental kills to DBD.
Picture the following: map is Lery's Memorial Institute. Killer has a survivor on death hook and the survivor is in the dying state. If that survivor is hooked then they are dead. Why not have a location like the center of the map where the killer can carry the survivor and instead of hooking them the killer gets to do some special kill where they hook the survivor up to a chair and the survivor is simultaneously electrocuted and injected with chemicals. Map specific kills would be so cool.
Not only environmental kills, but four different type of moris they can choose from.
True the game did have problems, but if it didn't get pulled into the lawsuit there could of been a lot of improvements 2018 to 2023 there was a lot that could of been done in that time.
Plus there was talk of another game mode too.

It's likely that they got hit on a gate, killer picked them up, saw it was impossible to hook them because hooks near the gate were gone, and they were wiggling. So what should the killer do in that situation if they want to secure the kill? Easy enough to just drop them. My point is, they were downed and had a 100% chance of losing at that point, so instead of just letting the killer get the kill, they tried to fight them, so the killer did what they had to, in order to ensure the kill. Basically, the killer countered their move and they are mad about it because they don't like how they countered their play.
I like how their the ones that only read what they want to read and imagine everything else😂
OP said in at least 4 posts maybe more that there were plenty of hooks around the killer never picked them up or tried.
-
Why does it always have to be competition?
I mean it would be nice to have other games in the same genre to play then just one.
F13 only fell because it got pulled into the lawsuit otherwise it would be neck and neck with DBD.
Evil Dead , Resident Evil Resistance fell because the competitiveness took over pushing out the new, average, casual and players that wanted to play for fun.
The only way TCM will survivor is if the DEVs think of all their players and not just the try-hards pushing it to be the next sweat-fest in gaming but, only time will tell.

Congrats!
My spirit is only 12😂 or maybe 11🤣

Stay on your break that's the simple solution.
Same boring game play every time I make a return. I have fun playing killer, but playing survivor is boring sit on gens or get camp out the game at 5 gens. Can't have fun on both sides I rather play something else.
-
Yes it's camping you're delusional if you say you weren't.

And I will continue playing this game for fun... Just that I'm not going to make things easy for the killers/survivors I face, and it affects new players who get atomized, and don't even want to play the game.
It's like ouroboros
As long as you're still having fun that's all that matters.
Yeah, it sucks for new players coming in to this game but, that's what it is when everyone has to play seriously.
-
Con Air
The Rock
-
You answered your own question.
Why people are so salty in this game?
we are nothing more than some amusement for a guy with a giant ego?
A lot players take this game way to seriously.
It's no longer a video game to be played for fun. It's a job a tournament where if you're not playing competitively then you have no business playing this game.

I said something like this earlier but then it dawned on me that this theory only works if MM works. Ray Charles can see that it doesn't so what now?
I don't know who Ray Charles is.
I also been saying that kills and escapes shouldn't be the answer to MMR either. Cause all it does is increases players ego and makes them think their better when their really not.

As shocking as it is that is pretty much what I said. Have not been jumped yet....care to help with that?
Yeah, not yet give it time they haven't shown up yet.
But sure my 2 cents is stop camping and tunneling you don't need to camp and tunnel to get kills. Play fair and you'll be place where you need to be. Yes you can win the match by playing fair.
Camping and tunneling only increases your MMR and puts you against others that you shouldn't be going against.
Play to win you'll go against others that are playing to win.
Play for fun and you'll have fun.
If you have to get kills/win then by all means keep camping and tunneling I'm not stopping you.
-
I would put my 2 cents in but, I don't feel like getting jumped because I'm telling you to play to lose.😂
-
Things take time🙂
-
But it's always my fault.
-
You don't 😂
You get excited to play cause it's been awhile 1,2,3,6,8,12 Months however long it's been.
Play for a couple days (give or take) see it's the same as the last time you play return to your break.

it's not camping, as I said if I hook two survivors next to each other because of the bad hook spawn there it would be stupid to leave I can just patrol the hooks and wait until two of them are dead find the third one and maybe the forth surv finds the hatch, sometimes it happens that survivors fuk up and the game ends quick, I'm given the advantage by the game itself but if they add anti camping system without tinkering the hook placement is punishing the killer for playing smart.
Five posts up buddy. My comment wasn't in response to your post.
-
-
No, it's not going to change anything. If a killer wants to hard camp the meter fills the survivor gets off the hook and then what?
They get tunneled down and put back on the hook.
I wouldn't call it a buff but, more of a reason to stay in the match and not to give up on hook if you're getting camped.
-
Just move on to the next match you're saying the same thing that ten thousand others have already said.
Understanding your post it's sounds like you had a easy team that you play sweaty against. Why make a topic looking for sympathy?

So you assumed OP was a camper? Interesting... I thought he was looking for an opinion as it isn't something he regularly does...
If you know you can win isn't winning with more BP better?
But I want an exciting match and I want to earn more BP.
My comment was for your post not OP.
Campers don't care for the bloods points or exciting match just the win.
-
@CorvusCorax86 said:
Interestingly, it is not the camping that makes it a viable strategy but knowing how altruistic survivors are. Half of the team is unavailable. The other half will definitely go for the save. So, in reality, you look for them if you stay and patrol the vicinity.
However, if you actively look for them and hurt / down a 3rd one the other 2 can escape as the team is still in disarray.
Meaning, you can ask yourself the question: shouldn't I allow them this small victory and continue? If you know you can win isn't winning with more BP better?
I'll give you an example: If I manage to do 2 hooks and down a 3rd survivor I never go and look for the 4th one. I allow this person to do the save. You said yourself: "I have already won." But I want an exciting match and I want to earn more BP.
Campers don't care about Blood points.

I was puking on her. But I dunno if it stops the animation halfway and reset it or she could complete it but didn't. I've played Plague like 3-4 times.
I'm not sure either if it stops the animation could say the same for the Adam, but from the Adams POV he was getting hooked spammed watching you puke on the Laurie. He seen it as he was getting trolled by Laurie or maybe both of you.
I still say the Laurie was the reason.
-
then Laurie was there trying to save him but she was hook spamming him
My money is on the Laurie.
-
It's not going to stop them from camping and tunneling off hook.
-
Don't use them become a hoarder🙂
-
Sweaty players don't want to go against others sweats.
They just want to go against average/casual players for the easy win.

I thought the rights to Jason & the movies for gaming purposes were still knee-deep in lawsuits? The last other franchise I am recall adding his likeness was the tenth Mortal Kombat.
If not, then heck yeah he should be brought in. Would have to be careful not to borrow too much from his last game for his power possibilities. There's a few very good options for surv choices too.

I believe the lawsuit got resolved last year, but I’m a bit vague on what it actually resulted in.
Either way, if BHVR landed the license after the lawsuit ended, we’d see the results soon-ish.
Victor only owns US rights and only to the first script and Sean owns adult, hockey mask-wearing Jason but can’t legally use him in a movie without Victor’s permission.
They both need to agree and work together or there's nothing.

What you're saying is to play worse intentionally so you lose thus deranking down to worse survivors and ruining their day by pitting them against a killer that isn't on their level.
No I'm saying play fair.

DBD the only game where someone says "don't play to win." So you're supposed to play to lose right? That's a lot of fun.
What is so hard to understand what I said you're playing for kills you're playing to win YOU SHOULD GO Against OTHERS THAT ARE PLAYING TO WIN!
"But if that's how you want to play by all means go right ahead"
If you don't want to play against others that are playing to win STOP CAMPING AND TUNNELING it's not that hard to understand.

seems like you really don't get it.
"Improve yourself" including lot of things , it could be chasing skill, better mind reading, gaming sense etcetc.
If you try to win in the game, you will naturely.......at least for killer will naturely try to do their best at every part of it.
And strategy is one of them.
It could be 3 gens, hit and run, sluging , tunnel or even camping.
You couldn't just think nothing in game and wish that you somehow win the game, no you can't.....at least for killer.
You must have a plan and keep improve your plan with every game.
And right now, these plans leads killer to tunnel and camping because killer NEED to get that 25% debuff to survivor for remove 1 player ASAP.
And yes of couse ,your oppoent will be stronger and stronger just like you, nobody complain about it.
What people complain about is that in high......no even in normal level gameplay.
Survivors are so easier than killer.
people can constanly being down in 30 sec with every chase and still wining.
People are complain about the balance of the game, not their oppoent are too strong.
These is totally different.
Idealy people would want their oppoent become stronger and stronger ,so all of your hard work to improve yourself will have it's meaning.
But right now, most of the time when you lose as a killer, you asking yourself "Why am i losing? how could i get the wining next time?", you can't really find the answer, you feel like you already do what the best you can do,but the game just ....... not balance, which is the most depair moment at least for me,and that's why i am complaining.
I don't know what you're going on about or why you're referring me to section 1 paragraph 2 of the killer handbook, I don't need it or care to follow it. You can't get better if every one of your wins (all your kills) is by camping tunneling off hook. You are not learning anything. You're moving up higher MMR matches going against stronger teams.
Again for the forth time (OP) was talking about going against stronger teams that they couldn't deal with they got there because they camped and tunneled.
If you are playing for kills you are playing to win, you should go against others that are playing to win. If you can't deal with those type of matches then STOP CAMPING AND TUNNELING!!!

I personally find that more stressful. If I go into a match and try my best to either get 8 hooks (left everyone go) or 11 hooks and let the last go it can be stressful for me. While playing this was the only time it's not stressful is when it's a bad team.
I find it more rewarding when you do get the kill plus I like the challenge. I only let the last one go if it was a good team. Bad team I'll play around with them (practice) let them get some points, but I go for the 4K.

I prefer it that way. You play only for kill, matched against survivors play only for escape. Perfect pair.
MMR count on hook only make camping 2 hooks for 2 kills play against more newbie where they can 4 hooks 4 kills. And again, drop MMR. I dont like that I care for other side's fun, play for 8 hooks before kill and matched against Ayrun and other great streamers.
To each their own
I play for hooks not kills try to make a fun match. I win some and I lose some but I play for the 12 hooks a game.
Really 11 hooks I leave the last one alive to tell the tale of the Spirit.

This is from 1 person, in the same topic.
I see, another reason why I say kills/escapes should not be the answer to MMR all it does is increase their ego and make them think their good and better then you when their really not.

Simple words.
You should enjoy your lose.
You should not play for win in a video game.
You don't need to camp and tunnel to win.
Camping for the kills is increasing your MMR giving (OP) harder matches.
If your playing like that you should get harder teams that are also playing to win. Why should you get weak teams to play against?
Again you don't need to camp and tunnel to get kills if you have to then you don't belong in that area of MMR.

I disagree with this statement. That, by my own 'testing' does not work and typically makes things feel even worse. At least with camping you are at least (sort of) pressuring 2 survivors. If you leave and they get insta unhooked there is a very good possibility you will not be able to hook a survivor again, especially considering SWFs and map offerings, and given OPs description it's likely a lot of the struggle is the imbalance with SWFs.
OP, I definitely feel you on this one. I never can maintain pressure on the survivors/gens even going 'full meta' type builds. God forbid you try to play a special build just for fun.
Again if you're playing to win (Camping and tunneling for the 3k 4k) then you should go against others (SWF) that are playing to win.

this is nonsense, You can screw around and be Mr. nice killer all you want, survivors usually just ignore you and push gens or teabag and spam every stun mechanic they have nonstop.
I didn't say be nice.
-
Stop camping and tunneling for kills and you'll have fun matches.
The way you're playing is to win so you'll be playing against others that are also playing to win. But if that's how you want to play by all means go right ahead.
-
I haven't come across a killer that wanted to farm in a long time or was AFK.
You come across 1 or 2 a month if that and blowing out of proportion 100-120😂🤣🤣
-
Stop camping!
If you want the killers to be more menacing stop camping so the DEVs can see the problem.
-
I'm down for both sides getting emotes.
Maybe it'll help players to stop taking this game so serious loosen up have fun.
-
Wasn't that what everyone was complaining about when someone dc'ed. They could get their adept
Wouldn't the bots help now with the killer getting their adept?
