In case you weren't aware there's a peacock original series that is a prequel to Friday the 13th coming out this year:
The original Friday the 13th film’s OG Final Girl has hinted at a timetable for Peacock’s prequel series. And the wait just might kill you.

I thought the rights to Jason & the movies for gaming purposes were still knee-deep in lawsuits? The last other franchise I am recall adding his likeness was the tenth Mortal Kombat.
If not, then heck yeah he should be brought in. Would have to be careful not to borrow too much from his last game for his power possibilities. There's a few very good options for surv choices too.
I believe the lawsuit got resolved last year, but I’m a bit vague on what it actually resulted in.
Either way, if BHVR landed the license after the lawsuit ended, we’d see the results soon-ish.
They're making a prequel in the franchise so I assume the rights are at least partially straightened out.
Am I the only one who wouldn't be particularly excited for Jason ?
Like... We got a cool ink uncanny lady, a cool sentient flesh-robot, a straight up multiple limbs demon who teleports. And that's just recent original concepts.
A half-dead guy with a mask just... doesn't seem all that exciting next to that ?

Victor only owns US rights and only to the first script and Sean owns adult, hockey mask-wearing Jason but can’t legally use him in a movie without Victor’s permission.
They both need to agree and work together or there's nothing.

I hope so. Jason is very wellcome license. And i think he can make me enjoy this game again.
Given that Jason is under the Warner Bros umbrella like Freddy is and the lawsuit has ended over a year ago or so now, i'm giving it a 50/50 chance, maybe less.
Jason would end up a myers clone without stalk unfortunately
