  • I’m the absolute best survivor and killer player in the game!

Is this a fact? Nope. I’m not that conceited.

But I would NEVER enter a competitive game with the mentality that my opponent could be superior...that’s how you defeat yourself.

    Believe in yourself.

  • I do like the idea of the OP. However (although I’m usually striving for balance to make the killer side more viable), the Trapper is pretty well balanced already.

For the sake of one day hopefully achieving game balance, I couldn’t support a buffing a killer that doesn’t need it.

Love the idea though, great creative thinking on your part, please do not let me stir you away from future ideas.

  • He’s good at 1v1, like the Clown. Unfortunately, the game is a 4v1. He lacks threat as a map pressuring killer, I’d put him bottom 3.

  • I am no one to speak on anothers’ opinions or beliefs, I can only state my own.

IMO, no one really cares about your gender or sexuality, even more so in a video game. You think I’ll just choose NOT to annihilate you because if your orientation?

A survivor is a survivor, a killer is a killer, no gender or sexuality needed or required.

Don't lunge, do a quick attack instead, you'll have to turn a little but that's basically it.

    ^^this. Don’t Lunge, keep FOV.

If you’re getting 360’d very often, you’re playing on a sensitivity too low to maintain field of view on the survivor.

    ^This

Just because the survivors are really good and work 4 different gens from the get-go doesn't mean every survivor group does. You can't balance the game against the SWF-Seal Team 6. Killers already get more than 2 kills on average, according to the last time stats were release by Devs in November, so if anything, gen speeds need to be increased not decreased.

Ya must be smoking something. This has nothing to do with SWF, you just confirmed it yourself!! When the match starts, if there are 4 different survivors on 4 different gens, Most killers can only chase off one. If this survivor capitalizes on a few of the maps best loops (sometimes the killer has to oblige to take away that loop option if it’s a strong one)...that means the other 3 survivors will pop their gens in less than 1 minute 30 seconds. Looking at this mathematically, without even trying, 4 random survivors not SWF can have 60% game completion within the first 1 minute 30 seconds. This is NOT the fault of the survivors, they’re doing what they’re supposed to be doing. The problem is speed.

  • the killer is already penalized for hook camping...he cant rank up and you other 3 get a free escape. If you’re really interested in the score, use Borrowed Time and purposely trade your friend’s hook with yourself. Have others do the same to buy extra time to finish all gens and leave, debate amongst yourselves which of the 4 of you will take the fall.

  • Wow, this got out of hand. Let’s explain in concise detail.

If you’re using an add-on like extended T3 time, the downside of this add-on was that it took longer to reach T3 while stalking. However, the bug was that it DID take longer to stalk, but ONLY the first time you reach T3. When your T3 ran out and you were regressed back to T2, the add-on no longer required the longer stalk time to reach T3 because if the bug. Now it will, because it’s fixed. Hope this clarifies things.

Yup, i get those games all the time. My solution is to camp. And im not sorry. If im getting my third hook as that last gen pops were all getting cozy or dude on hook is a sacrifice

I feel you, not my style...I’m too impatient as it is a boring task. The survivors were not complete potatoes, but neither were they great. However, I could’ve won that game if I just resorted to slugging them all. Guess that’ll teach me to play “fairly” lol. Nah, I still will.

As mentioned, this is my first game (documented game anyway, but I can’t recall from memory a game so quick) that I’ve ever had out if thousands. So I’m not complaining about the match, I can accept the loss and move on, was just supporting OP’s topic of gen speeds being too quick with a specific example.

  • I have had “gen rushes” against me before, but nothing ever worth complaining about. However, today I was handed a massive loss.

I was the Nurse (on console). Very strong killer indeed, but not the potential threat she is on PC (I’ve played that also). Here’s the game breakdown:

Game Start: survivor located and downed in the first 20 seconds, hooked....no gens complete. I go on gen patrol, start chase #2, first gen pops as soon as Im chasing. More unpredictable mindgaming survivor than the previous, takes about 1 minute to down. Before I hook survivor #2, gens 2, 3, and 4 pop...almost simultaneously. I begin chase #3, lose the survivor and re-down the recently unhook who hits DS (I have no problem with this), I begin chasing survivor back down...last gen pops. I let her go, opened the exits myself and stood idle til they left. Sure, I could’ve got some more hooks during the EGC, while decent, none of the 3 survivors I went after were worthy of a threat, but I felt better ending the game there with no more points for either side.

    Total game time was 4:28.

This is the first time I’ve ever had a fast match like this, and thus have no complaints, it is what it is. But this is pretty concrete evidence to me that the gen speeds are not ok.

  • The irony of asking to make the weakest killer weaker...

If he’s camping, and you want to win. Punish him for camping, gen rush that game and get out! If it’s you on the hook he’s camping, PUNISH him! Stay on the hook as long as possible, take one for the team.

  • @illusion said:

The perk adds an Object of Obsession to the game, but only increases the chance of them being the obsession. RNG can make someone else the obsession.

Ok thank you, this isn’t how it used to be, good to know. Appreciate the feedback.

  • I am not disappointed at all. I love horror in general. While I’m ashamed to say I’ve never played Silent Hill, I have seen the movies. And I don’t think anything was “hyped up”, all the hype came from random speculations from people not affiliated with the game developers or staff.

I would have been equally excited for Candyman, those of you who claim no one knows him, just tell us you’re too young to know him next time; absolute classic original horror franchise. I wouldn’t want Jason, we couldn’t even have him in out game without deleting Trapper. I wouldn’t want Pennywise, we already have a Clown. I wouldn’t want Chuckie...could you imagine the FOV issues you’d encounter?? “I can’t see the survivors working on the generator right in front of me, a blade of grass is concealing them!”.

I’m overall psyched for the Silent Hill chapter, please wait at least a month for proper testing before nerfing or buffing anything!

  • I gotta say no. While the game is at its 4 year mark, even with new content added regularly (great job trying to keep things fresh), random matches can get old.

Some fun builds are bases on map offerings to be successful. Could you imagine using a Scratched Mirror Myers on Rotten Fields? There’s just real logical reason to abolish map offerings to me.

  • @FlamingkittyUmad said:

Shelter woods and both swamp maps are objectively the easiest map for almost any killer. Shelter Woods has a huge deadzone in the middle, almost no jungle gyms/ pallets, and what few jungle gyms there are, are way too far apart, not to mention the huge sight lines and with so few windows (3 windows on the map max) and only one place to fall from (into the basement) both Lithe and Balanced landing useless. the only way for survivor to win on this map is if they genrush, and only experienced and coordinated survivors are going to pull that off

I play killer more often than not, but I’m forced to disagree AND agree with your statement. Looking at the game from an unbiased overall standpoint that supports balance, I do believe there are maps that favor survivors. Bare in mind, this is my own opinion based on the thousands of matches I’ve personally had.

So I agree there are killer sided maps, but there are also survivor sided maps (even after the re-work). However, I disagree with the maps you listed. While Shelter Woods is lacking strong survivor tiles, the sheer size of the map does benefit survivors, which makes the map killer sided ONLY for a few specific killers: IMO: Billy/Oni/Huntress/Nurse(with range add-ons only), and Deathslinger can do decent here, but with his ranged attack restricted, I would call the map balanced for him. As far as Black Swamp goes, I (with all due respect) have to laugh that one off, that’s survivor sided to me.

The maps I believe are killer sided are: Grave of Glendale, Hawkins Laboratory and Torment Creek. The first 2 are obvious, they both lack strong loop tiles and Glendale is a small map. I’m sure not many killer mains will agree with my Torment Creek mention, how dare a Coldwind Farm map be on a supposable killer sided map list, but it’s really not very good. Even before map adjustments that were recently made, it’s smaller (or at least seemed smaller while playing it) and thus easier for a killer to apply map pressure with only 1 god loop, and I do not count the killer shack as a god loop, a semi-decent killer can force the survivor away from the shack in 15 seconds or so with the pallet now toast.

As mentioned, these are my own opinions, I’m sure you have yours, and I’ll be glad to hear you all out as you have heard me out.

I just played on the PC version since from maybe a year+ ago...wow I didn't think it would be that much different to playing on the XB1X...it's crazy how much smoother the game actually is, i don't understand why, I kinda get the game was made for PC but when games can run at 4k 30fps on the 1X how is it that hard to make Dead by Daylight at least 60 fps, not to mention I didn't have any stuttering issues either. If they had Cross-save i'd be on PC tomorrow. I guess they don't wanna bother spending their precious time optimising the game for Xbox?

I started on PC, but my wife and I were fighting over it when we both had time to ourselves, so I let her have it and began gaming on PS4, I can’t speak for Xbox, but PS4 is almost like a bootlegged illegal version of the PC game lol.

Side note: If we could just add functionality to controls to let the touchpad be used for player movement rather than the joystick, the experience would be much better. Ever played Nurse on PC and console? Drastically ridiculous results.

  • So one of the most recent videos I did was 4 consecutive mid-tier killer games, back to back with no video edits (about an hour). Includes (in order): Pig, Wraith, Trapper, Cannibal. All games VS reds (or at least 3 being red), 4k 3 of the games, 3k and a key hatch out on the Trapper game...this was 1 month ago, before the map reworks even.

I’m just trying to make a simple point, with practice (if you’re patient enough and enjoy the play enough to do it), you can win a game VS red survivors with mid and even low-tier killers.

  • @blasto said:

If you actually read my comment this does not pretain to me. But i'v had so many friends that quit the game because they were going against red ranks when they literally just started. How exactly is that fair? You don't gain anything from going against someone so high up it would take you way too long just to get to their level. And how am i dodging the point? YOU DON'T LEARN FROM GOING AGAINST HIGH LEVELS. Point blank period. If im a rank 15 and im going against a rank 1 im not learning anything. What instead im learning is that i should have never bought the game. I also don't believe for a second you can get 2 kills 96% of the time. Heres a challenge. Play cannibal or clown without any addons because most survivors don't bring items. Learn that

You can disagree all you wish, playing better survivors DOES make you a better killer. And don’t worry, when I said I’d kill 2 everygame...that does include Clown but not Cannibal, I’ll 4k that or 3 and an early hatch out.

  • @dollidahlia said:

But guess what. A basketball player who is 6'0 can actually get better than when they are versing someone 6'0. Who would have known? Im an experince player but your advice is just trash. A rank 15 killer should be versing a rank 15 survivor. Not a rank 1 survivor. You're just encouraging them to stop playing the game because who want's to lose just because someone is waay higher rank than you are.

Wow, dodging around the entire point aren’t we?

Example: I, like many others that have not played since debut in 2016...was a yellow rank killer playing against red survivors. Guess what happened!? I lost...ALOT. I became better, and now I’ll kill 2 everygame (exaggerating, more like 96%) regardless of the killer I choose to play no matter what the survivor’s skill level is at, and no matter if they’re a well-coordinated SWF or not. I’ve done it thousands if times now including strong survivor maps, including before DS and MoM and instaheals were nerfed.

If you want to quit because the difficulty is too strenuous for you resulting in not enjoying your gameplay experience, that is your choice. Not everyone will share your opinion, not everyone will share mine.

Bottom line: experience makes you better, enough said. If you wish to continue debating this topic, please be specific and logical with your input rather than voicing how it only pertains to you.

  • So much impatience! Can’t we all just be surprised just once!? Just one time?

Let’s quit speculating and wait the whopping one day to find out legit, that’s what the Devs are streaming for...ya’ll just rather they told us and didn’t give us a stream? C’mon man.

  • If you’re on the map, you’re camping. If you hit a survivor that’s been hooked before...you’re tunneling. I once had a game where some joker kept running into me while I’m chasing another (healthy btw everytime), said I was specifically tunneling him, because Im not so stupid to turn down a free hit. This survivor was Rank 2, and I saved the video from this clown.

"Hang in there" makes it sound like it's a job, or something important in life.

There's no reason that a new player should feel like they need to "hang in there" just to get to a point where a game is enjoyable. People quitting is the fault of the game, not the fault of players for wanting to enjoy a game.

I totally agree with you. Perhaps something I’ve said you misinterpreted. For example, I love the game, and I love challenges, I want and NEED my game experience to be difficult, so it’s easy for me (for love of the game), to endure the nasty losses I’ve experienced to get to the level I’m at now. Not everyone is the same way, every person has different views and different opinions.

However, I have to assume this guy has love for the game also, otherwise he wouldn’t bother making a post for discussion here at all, and would’ve already quit playing the game.

This isn't teaching low rank killers anything. It's just encouraging them to quit the game

This is only teaching low rank killers that the only way to get better, is to play it. You don’t become the best basketball player by playing inferior opponents, you don’t become the best staring contest competitor by versing someone with Turretsyndrome, you don’t become a better killer unless you play opposition better than you. Facts.

The message is for lesser experienced players to ‘hang in there’, the more experienced players don’t need and probably don’t want my advice.

Sorry my friend, I didn’t know! lol. I stopped playing PC and am console (PS4) now, the PS4 has a serious lack of killer players resulting in long survivor queues, so I am willing to do anything (within reason) to get players more resilient and patient to play the weaker role.

I love how this community straw-mans Tru3 all the time. It's okay to dislike someone, but I watch a lot of his streams and he doesn't claim that everyone who beats him is a swf team. It's certainly not a go-to excuse either.

Though in the same vein, it would be hilarious if his predictions turned out to be nearly completely accurate.

That’s just fine, it’s optional. You can just click on Play as Killer. The more elite players that embrace a fun challenge will go for the SWF games, not forcing it on anyone.

  • Easy solution...there’s room for one more button on the main screen, make it a “Kill Their Friends” button. In this mode, killers can purposely go up against SWF groups, with the reward of 100% BP without offerings to engage in this mode.

  • As a player that plays primarily as killer to avoid the long MM queues, I have no issue with flashlights and do not believe they need nerfed or altered in any way. 1 out of 200 times, a player might get a flashlight save on a teammate, they are soooo easily countered. Even better than that, they wasted time not being on a gen, or cleansing a totem, or healing a teammate...so they can linger around me and fail a flashlight save attempt, and now after the player is hooked, you don’t have to wait at all to begin your next chase.

Flashlights are more useful to attempt to get a bit of distance while at a safe pallet, but this is also easily countered with mao awareness. Where’s the strongest spot near this location? That’s probably where they are headed.

I vote no on altering flashlights, and I wished every survivor brought one every game.

  • I’m very confused with your gen lifetime thing, you have only 6-8 minutes to repair it fully once you’ve started it? I’m not sure what you meant here. If this is the case however, 6-8 minutes would not do much, that’s over half the time of an average game.

  • She’s not, she’s decent midtier that needs no buffs or further nerfs.

The survivor that told you she was OP meant to say this instead: “I always have a very difficult time facing The Pig because of my own skill level”.

  • @Icery said:

I try to completely finish tome 1 but this challenge is pretty hard. I sacrificed all survivors in basement before but i forgot to activate this challenge. You need to be an awesome player to complete this at rank 9 or just camp and grab them. What do you guys think about this????

Here’s the easiest way to pull off this achievement, and you only need mediocre skill level to accomplish it, making it possible on any tier. While this achievement will be much easier in low ranks, as the survivors just are not as good, a simple gameplan can make this possible easily for higher ranks.

    Killer: Trapper

Perks: Agitation, Iron Grasp, Mad Grit, Monstrous Shrine. (If not worried about bodyblocking, replace Mad Grit with Deerstalker)

AddOns: Oily Coil and Bloody Coil

Offering: Dusty Noose - places you in Grave of Glenvale map.

Tactical Strategy: once survivors catch on, the smart players will make it more difficult by staying away from basement. This achievement will work much better if the basement is in the killer shack rather than the saloon basement. I would not break the killer shack wall. Once you get a survivor here, there is no need to camp. Trap the 3 entrances (which is why we don’t want to break the wall), go find another survivor. If someone goes for the save, they must disarm the trap...which takes tremendously longer because if Oily Coil, and they will become injured because of Bloody Coil. Now when they get the save (assuming they make it), they can trade hooks. Don’t be afraid to tunnel here. Dont be afraid of Borrowed Time, please willingly eat the Decisive Strikes. If they don’t have them, easier for you. When you down a survivor outside of the shack, be mindful to pick up any traps that may be blocking your route that you’ve already placed. If necessary, temporarily pick up 1 trap before picking up the survivor. Rinse and repeat.

This method is not required, it’s just a dirty tactic to make it drastically easier. 3 games max, you’ll have this done.

  • I have no opinion about changing neither keys or Moris. I’m not a fan of either, and both punish your emblems.

Quick note though, you’re all talking about Mori being a problem after 1 hook...look at this objectively instead. Don’t think of it as 1 hook, but rather 2 downs. This means, if a killer Mori’s everyone, he has to win 8 chases to end the game, rather than 12 without the Mori. With instadowns not included, that’s 4 minimal hits you can take, you can take more if you escape chases, or less if you’re not fully healed by the time the killer comes back around, strong...but not OP.

Keys are a great way for 1-2 survivors to abandon their objective and get out of dodge. In my book, this means the killer wins. If survivors are at the point that they decide they no longer want ti compete and hatch out, that’s admission of defeat in my book, surrendering the game. If all 4 are still alive, they must complete all 5 gens to hatch out, so the only objective they’re flaking out on is having to open exit gates.

Neither need changed, they’re not that great.

  • Worst killer in the game. He doesn’t stink, but neither is he good. His power is restricted.

Most killers powers do 1-3 different things, LF does not, insta-down...that’s it. While you can still win matches with him regardless of survivor skill, the map you are placed in as the biggest affect on the game outcome while playing LF.

  • I play both sides, but killer more often as I’m too impatient to wait 10 mins to be placed in a lobby.

Does it need nerfed? I don’t think so personally. If I’m playing solo survivor (90% of the time I do), I’m almost always rocking Spine Chill. While it gives you less info than Premonition, it does not have a cooldown and gives added bonus to gen speed, heal speed, and (most commonly sought) vault speed while it’s active.

On the killer side, if I’m playing as Wraith V survivors that have their spine on ice, it doesn’t effect me too much. You simple go towards a target area like a gen while looking to the side or behind you as you approach. This will not allow Spine Chill to trigger, or have it flashing off and on, very confusing. This will help you get the jump on people for that easy 1st hit, an ability Wraith excels at. If the survivor is super petrified and starts running/hiding anyway, well...then they’re not on a gen, and trust me that is success enough.

    Thanks for the tips,

those are good advises that people should follow. But I'm not gonna burnout just to be godtier in the short run

I totally understand, this will always be a “game” first, it is meant to be fun. Many people are not willing to sacrifice the time to grind horribly skill paired matches to improve, especially when it makes their part of the game not fun to play. If the frustration level is ruining your game experience, just play survivor for awhile, its almost always fun and much easier, and you can also become a better killer by playing survivor, it will help you anticipate things in matches.

  • @Schulz_The_Ugly said:

The simple thing is, you cant even get better.

I finally reached R7 as killer, mainly huntress, and wow, people are beyond toxic, beyond any game i played ( I was warned back at R12 actually🤣). Everyone knows that, yet you can't even improve, the game is still designed to be frustrated in an unhealty way.

I guess this is the problem with most niche games, the learning curve is all janky

And doesn't matter if killer or surviver is easier. In four years if we still have a messy rank system, serious balance issues, heck, simple things like gen popping opacity weren't still tweaked to improve visibility.

Could you ignore it? sure! It's not a surviver fault to be godtier, but you can't leave a game, and you probably gonna get hostaged by

At the end i guess this is de comm we have and what the one we deserve.

You actually can and will get better from this. Yes, you will lose many games, yes it will be very frustrating, but with repetition you’ll learn that most great survivors are still predictable, which allows you to end chases more quickly.

However, there are still a few loops each match regardless of RNG that are strong and not mindgameable...these loops great survivors will run optimally, and all you can do is 1. Abandon chase (not recommended, as others will just run here also in future chases) or 2. Endure it, get rid of the pallet so now chases are easier. Just keep your cool, I know it’s hard, and think of it like this: If you can do good vs a good survivor team (especially a well coordinated SWF), then you can do great against ANY team.

    Hang in there mate.

  • As survivor, can’t say there’s anything I hate encountering, it’s all pretty fun.

As killer, the only things I hate encountering is a stealth team...that rather than go for gens or saves, just play hide and go seek with you. This is NOT very common in high ranks, but I have encountered it, boring and annoying. The other thing is when a team happens to 3 gen themselves, and all are too afraid to make a move for them...drastically boring and exceedingly long final part of the game.

  • if youre using BBQ, you dont need Whispers. BBQ will give you more(better) info than whispers, and Doc already excels locating survivors. Use BBQ to get the ficinity of other survivors, so you know when/where to use your static blast without wasting it.

I also would not recommend using Distressing (unless you want the extra Devious points) unless it’s paired with something like Couliphobia (certainly I spelled that wrong), Distressing does help your static blast power, but so minimally that it doesn’t require wasting a perk there for it.

    Heya guys!

I've been playing Dbd On PS4 again after a 1 1/2 month break & I'm just so frustrated. Again& again I've been paired against survivor groups, which were Rank 2, 4& 9,9 . How am I able to win this flashlight/ teabagging lot as a rank 16 baby nurse???? This has been going for every single killer match, where I played against SWF's groups over rank 9. This has been so frustrating that it robbed me of all the fun I had as killer.... And this issue didn't get fixed after all the other complaints... This makes me just sad...

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/970/YISIAT5ZY8P4.jpeg

We all know that MM is a bit “off” to say the least (I’m trying to be modest). However, just try to keep a cool head and don’t get frustrated in these games. All in all, the game experience will make your killer gameplay skill higher. You cannot get better at the game playing equal or lesser skilled player(s), although it may be more fun. I used to play PC, now I’m strictly PS4 only and I encountered this issue when I started. Embrace the challenge and improve your experience level against these teams...

if you can be a great SWF team, you can beat any team. I’m not making excuses for the MM issue, just explaining that it CAN be useful.

LOL another moron not reading properly. No one is mad they took away god loops. I'm saying Killers really should not be complaining for survivor nerfs after getting such a large buff...Killers still struggling after these map changes need to look at themselves before following the crowd of complaining about "OP Survivor Perks"

Wow, another moron that doesn’t understand how the game works. It’s a 2-sided game, killer AND survivor. As long as the game remains horribly unbalanced and heavily favoring the survivor side, killers mains can ask for all the debuffs they want. This doesn’t mean they’ll get them, some requests would be too OP to even consider. Four years; 4 years of one side having a heavy advantage by simple clicking on the ‘Play as Survivor’ button.

Edit: Yes, after the map rework and the killer reworks, the game is still unbalanced favoring survivors, it’s just not as bad now.

  • Just do what we all do, test different killers, take the losses, don’t let any negative remarks from the opposing team bother you. After several reps of gameplay, you’ll eventually start winning. Playing VS red survivors would be the best way to learn a new killer, you can practice and improve

But just because a side is stronger doesn't mean people should shut you down for ideas for said side.

For the sake of argument, let's say killers are objectively OP, they win most of the games, their perks and powers are op, etc.

Now you are picking up a survivor and can't help notice that it took you 15 seconds to pick up one survivor, that's way too long and an get boring to do, so you go on the forums and suggest the animation to get sped up.

Before you know it a whole bunch of survivor mains will respond to your idea with some snarky things to say

    "git gud"

    "killers cry about everything"

"killers are op and yet you still want more"

    the list goes on.

What I'm trying to get at here is that some ideas that come from survivors aren't really game breaking but rather just Quality of Life adjustments, or just making certain perks or mechanics better and worth using. But because killers (not all killers ofc <3) see survivors as the "oppressors" they dismiss any idea that comes out of your mouth because you "have it good" already, and I don't find that fair.

I understood what you meant. But to reiterate the point I’ve already made, if the idea or suggestion a player makes is too strong favoring either side, no one is interested. If it’s not super OP, we do support ideas that are suggested with good reasoning. It’s totally situational, depending on the sugggestion. Not every survivor idea is horrid.

I have to assume that although the amount of people that “main” survivor drastically outnumber the people that “main” killer, we as a community strive to make these survivors content...as they’re the majority of our community. At the same token, you can’t have a game without a killer, so we need to please killers also.

No reasonable decent idea should be overlooked, but if, and only if, the idea suggested does not promote unbalanced gameplay.

I said this all already, allow me to give an example this time, and I’ll use topics recently discussed on these forums:

Survivor Main Suggestion: Killers should get punished for abusing survivors at the hook. (Nevermind that there’s already a punishment for this as it allows an easy unhook during attack cooldown), then to promote balance, some survivor action like tbagging must also be punished.

We support ideas if they promote fairness of matches, but to look at anything one sided (regardless of side), it will fall on deaf ears.

If you suggested something like, reduce the cooldown time on Premonition...none of us would care. Although it would strengthen survivors, it’s not by a quantity large enough to even make it discussable.

  • A few drastically needed changed to move us closer to game balance, and the cries are here lol. How dare we not be able to stay at 1 God loop for 2 minutes now...so unfair. Really? GTFO

Hunterss i better than slinger, LUL

Yes. Huntress is better than Slinger. It’s not even worth a comparison because it’s not even close, but I’ll do a simple rundown to explain my (and the majority of other people’s) reeasoning behind it.

Facts to bare in mind: Both ranged attackers, both same slower movement speed. Everything listed is without the use of any addons.

    1. Ranged Distance Comparison: Huntress has a MUCH further range, Deathslinger’s is extrmely limited. 1 Point Huntress.
    2. Terror Radius: Huntress has a lullaby, Slinger does not. Very minute stat here, but to be fair I’m going to give it to you. 1 Point Slinger.
    3. Ranged Attack Comparison: To change a survivor’s health state from healthy to injured, the Huntress must hit a hatchet throw, small cool down, 5 attempts per reload. The Slinger on the other hand has to hit the survivor with a shot, but to injure, has to either reel in for a successful hit, or allow the survivor to break free causing a 4 second stun. The slinger breaking the chain to avoid the stun does not result in an injury of the survivor, although you were successful with your ranged attack. 4 second cool down, 1 shot per reload. Big point for Huntress.

The comparison, as I’ve already said, is laughable. When disputing Huntress V DeathSlinger for killer strength, it’s not even remotely close.

A post about tunneling/facecamping/slugging/moriing everyone I see is typically for some sort of temper tantrum. The one posting it tends to think they were mistreated in some way and instead of going about it like an adult...they feel the need to come on here and tell us about the temper tantrum. I typically just move on after I see it because its fairly common.

True that, perhaps the issue was never worth any of our attentions. 😝

  • ...thinking to myself that you meant Pay to Lose...

While already mentioned, you can obtain the banjo battle rifling-fingered Slinger without making a purchase...he’s not even a great killer. Does he stink? No, absolutely not, but he’s not great either. Watered down Huntress.

  • As the mobile version of the game is pretty much still fresh on the scene, I’m sure the end game goal is for promoting to product to new users and help attract potential incoming clientel. Just a very elementary marketing technique, no real need to think too hard on it.

This does NOT mean I support releasing a mobile version without first enhancing the issues that we already have had for months on the game’s console and PC platforms; because I don’t support starting a new project without maintaining functionality of the first one. I was simple explaining why they got it. Of course, this is only an assumption...but it will prove to be accurate.

  • I have 2 answers here, that are vastly different from everyone else so far. I have 2 answers, depending on which side I’m playing.

From killer POV: The Clown. While in ranks 12-20 he is viewed as a strong killer because if his ability to control loops, most decent survivors can counter him easy. I would place him at the very bottom, or 2nd to bottom of a killer tier list.

From Survivor POV: Huntress. While there are few bugs and errors with many various powers, getting hit from a hatchet that didn’t come close is a popularly discussed topic. Yes, sometimes I pretend to have a brain and I do know most of this can be explained with latency. Also, do we really want to tweak it? Will reducing the hitboxes make it darn near impossible to throw hatchets over tight small walls, etc? For the benefit of balance, should we just accept this for the laggy error that it most likely is and move on, or try to put a stop to it so the Huntress becomes strictly an M1 killer at most loops?

    You be the judge.
