    @IMhereRUN

Ruin affects everybody and persists as long as the totem is around which isn't shown to the survivors unlike the reverse bear traps which are single target and are actually incredibly easy to get off unless the pig pressures it. They're not really comparable.

Her crouch makes her move slower than nurse and any survivor with a good pair of headphones similar with Michael can't hear her very audible breathing. When going up against Michael and Amanda learning how to recognise and lock onto their breathing is a very key way of countering their stealth.

You’re absolutely right, they are not comparable...traps are sooo much better. It takes about 15 seconds to cleanse Ruin(don’t know exact time), I bet it’ll take a survivor at least 1 minute to get the trap off, sure it won’t stop gens being popped, but that’s 1 guy not progressing gens (typically).

  • Every second a survivor is on a totem, they’re making zero progress to the game. Wanna stop it, use TotH

  • Allow her to Crouch grab just like ghostface. As a survivor if you were allowed pig to get that close to you you kinda deserve to be pulled off.

Way to OP, Pig is fine the way she is. She has a built-in Ruin with reverse bear traps, built-in insidious (mobile even) while crouched...as a killer main, trust me, she needs no more buffs.

  • It is what it is, keep map pressure killers. If you locate 2, don’t be afraid to slug and go after the other, now a 3rd has to pick up, sure he’ll get him up...but that’s 3 people not on a gen.

  • First,

cough only survivor perks mentioned cough

Killer crutch perks are already nerfed: NOED gets cleansed, Devour Hope gets cleansed, Make Your Choice promotes anti-tunneling, Haunted Ground gets cleansed. Don’t know what you been playing but 90% of the time, these are just decoys for Ruin in most games I see.

Lastly, I think adrenaline is fine just the way it is. The only time it punishes a killer is if he/she slugs the survivor and moves away. However, that’s entirely the killer’s fault. A well organized team will communicate promptly when to pop the last gen so Adrenaline serves value...can’t punish them for having a strategic game plan. And if you’re slugging to aim for the 4K and you pop adrenaline by closing hatch...again your fault, that’s the risk you run slugging. Be safe, hook them.

  • Oh ok, ty. I thought they were specific things.

  • DS, while nerfed last time is still too strong. T3 is 60 seconds...many times a non-killer can find you in the process of healing as you already safely moved away...and you can still use it. Need a buff? No way, the point of hooking is to force another off a gen, as if the game needs another buff to gen rushing. Thanks for voicing your opinion, but this idea belongs in a garbage bin.

Edit Note: Talk to your team, 85% of killers will take a new chase if your rescuer begins a “distraction chase”.

  • Want to nerf NOED? Cleanse it...done.

  • Sure they would, it’d be just as easy as rescuing anyone else. With only a 12 gen req. (averaging 4 per squad), killers would be severely punished camping, and the built in borrowed time would help.

Another note: Disconnects would cause serious challenges for this mode, as such, should have severe consequences, a 60 minute server ban (which multiplies by 4 for every DC within 24 hours)

  • Frenzy combined with killer instinct is a strong combo...revealing all nearby survivors?? That’s very strong, the power had to have a weakness. If you’re not usungkiller instinct, why you going into frenzy anyway? If you want to spare yourself the struggle, don’t miss your hits. Jukes are not reliable, as they only work on unskilled killers...although I will admit from time to time a survivor will get me with it occasionally also

Talking ######### about a solo using self care while you're on Dead Hard, DS AND MoM?

This ^^^ Nurse’s calling is a great killer perk, although it’s only active 28 meters most survivors will play it safe and heal away from normal killer patrols. And what he meant by your perks is apparently you also stink in chased and NEED numerous free hits

  • Perks are strategy based, it’d make strategy too easy on a survivor level to put 2 perks together. Just sounds like balanced landing combined with lightweight without the speed bonus. You may as well just ask for a 5th perk spot in load outs.

  • There are no killers that can’t kill without add-ons, just learn to use them correctly. You can’t put 1 survivor to sleep as Freddy and engage in long loops pursuing 1 survivor...that’s no map pressure. You can’t chase down 1 killer add Legion, use his killer instinct ability. The clown? You can literally follow survivors on every loop and down then easy, his bottles (when used correctly) are the best anti-loop tool, no enduring, brutal strength, bamboozle, or spirit fury needed. Each killer is different, you must play them all differently.

  • Most survivors are whiners, not all. They just have a hard time accepting loss especially knowing they have all the advantages. You can go out of your way to not tunnel, giving up a free hit/down, and they’ll still call you trash lol. I’ve had a player complain about popping T3 with Myers while in a chase!?!? I don’t even know how to make sense out of that. It boils down to this:

If any survivor died in your game while you’re playing killer, statistically 2 of them will instaRAGE. It’s especially funny with crutched “free hit” load outs which is now the majority of survivors. Quick math lesson, assuming you get a 4K, and all 12 possible hooks, and each survivor used deadhard twice(usually more but we’ll keep it at 2 because many survivors literally waste it only to go down .025 seconds later), that’s 12 extra hits (minimum) on top of the base 24 for a non-instadowning killer (includes MOM) that you have get.

Get a 4k even after all that, yep...you’ll get some hate mail for doing your job too good.

  • Agreed, keep map pressure. Try not to lose momentum. Optimally, you want to have 1 on the hook and 1 in a chase, that’s great pressure. Because now a 3rd survivor has to unhook the other, and that means only 1 is on a gen. (Typically).

And Ruin is helpful, I been playing 5 months and yes hex skill checks are ridiculously easy...but it still negates the repair bonus because without Ruin those great checks would give a progression bonus. This is why we all describe Ruin as: Slow the game down a “little bit”

  • It’s not a bad idea, but you 2 of those perks only effect survivors while in your terror radius, so distressing may be needed as well, but I’d just run something like this on doctor

  • @Mochan said:

Both are just as toxic. Some people swear survivors are more toxic but this isn't true at all.

I've been in many matches where the killer hols the then swings at your body over and over (something which the devs even considered removing from the game because it is toxic) while. None of the survivors did anything toxic, except maybe DC.

People claiming one side is lore toxic than the other is just a one-side main with a bone to pick and a narrative to push.

Survivor main eh? Just curious on how a killer swinging at an already hooked survivor is toxic. It’s really a handicap, the cool down from his/her swing buys another enough time to unhook you safely. If a killer is doing this, they’re just saying “I stink at chasing survivors, please ######### on this 1 hook so I don’t have to chase you again. Nothing personal, I’ll do it to the next guy also unless they all escape first”

I wouldn’t worry bout that stuff lol

People who complain about hex perks are either new or very bad at survivor. I mean perk that can be completely deactivated how op is that. Git gud sir.

    This^^^^

If you have a complaint about what I would describe as a crutch perk because it allows insta-downs (NOED) that can become cleansed (even before all gens are repaired), then you need to work on your skill level. There’s no way for a killer to negate survivor crutches; ever been vs. a SWF group with multiple insta-heals, 4 Mettle’s and Deadhards? At this point in this game’s development...just lose all the free hit perks and require 3 hits for a survivor’s first down (first only). 90% of anyone’s higher than rank 6 is using it, just put it in the game add instead of perks. Funny how many free hits a good survivor needs to escape; but yet they still die often vs. a good killer

  • Hit it right on the head, more survivors are “toxic” then killers statistically. I think toxic is the wrong word, just annoying really really. And here’s why:

    1. more survivors than killers; not just in a match, but in the game. I’m sure you’ve all noticed that time of day when you’re in que forever for a lobby because there are so limited killers.
    2. its tactical; good survivors are deliberately trying to get in your head and piss you off, to throw you off your game psychologically to bait you away from their team doing gens, don’t fall for this, just stay cool
    3. It is sooo much easier to play survivor then killer. Survivors have all the advantages in this game and most of them know it, so it’s easy to adapt a “toxic” or “cocky” play style.

There’s always going to be this, it’s not a DBD thing, it’s in every multiplayer game in some form or another...get used to it.

  • This is REAL simple...all killers are good; but only when controlled by skilled user with a good game plan. Yes, some are definitely better than others, that’s indisputable. A screenshot means nothing, it doesn’t show the survivors gameplay. You can hit 27k from just proxy camping and tunneling, that requires almost no skill. Antony that thinks ANY killer sucks meant to instead say “I don’t know how to play as this killer efficiently”

  • i know I’ late to topic, but does anyone know or have tried if DD stacks with distressing? If everything is transferred it would make sense, but maybe the perk caps out at the 32m listed in perk description. Lmk please

  • Nurse! I know you said you don’t have the commitment right now, but if you have experience reading survivors loop pathways and “escape routes” then Part 1 is complete. Learning to use her is not difficult, the real challenge is learning survivors. Each and every game, you have to learn how each individual survivor moves...adapt to it. In lower and mid ranks, most just start running towards you during a blink, the higher ranked survivors try to be unpredictable in their pathing and take more practice. Just imagine where you would go to avoid hits if you were that survivor and start there.

Edit: imo, Freddy is very fun to play, he’s arguably the worst killer in the game, but he’s by no means weak. For inexperience Freddy users, I’d use an aura reading load out, get as many asleep as possible (or use class photo add-on). I’d go with: Ruin, Whispers, BBQ Chili, and Nurse’s (or maybe better murmur/rancor).

  • The broken record, lol. If a killer wants to camp, let him...just make him pay for it by knocking out all the gens while they’re on the hook. It’s a game, people enjoy having fun in different ways. With DS, borrowed time, mettle of man, adrenaline...it’s TOO easy to get these guys off the hook anyway, worst case scenario...you can save them and take their place. Communication is key, din’t Be afraid to invite randoms you’re in game with to chat party.

"If you move the roar to the end, she’ll be overpowered."

I do not buy that. At best, it would make it so the Pig doesn't have to stand up to attack every time she wants to sneak up on someone working on a gen. I think you overestimate how good the Ambush is at mindgaming loops and jungle gyms, especially considering that's about all it can do. It's doable sometimes, but it's not this supremely reliable mindgame that trips even the most competent people up consistently. I don't think she's "plenty strong" as you put it; I think she is one of the weakest killers in the game (and the recent nerf to her only made her weaker).

Perhaps when she was released as a killer the intention was to ambush gens, but as HatCreature mentioned, most of us would rather uncrouch and go for the grab attempt. And I don’t overestimate her ambush to counter loops and gyms...you apply the same mindgame reads as other killers, but you cover that ground much more quickly. No, it won’t be a guaranteed hit, but if you make the wrong read the survivor is likely to not abandon this loop. A great survivor might make you make the wrong read twice, but I think only a real crappy killer needs notebook than 3 attempts. Either way, that segment of their loop play is limited to 10-25 seconds tops. We’ll worth it you ask me. I can make a video ifvyou’d Like if never using this technique, I promise no one will survivor that loop more than 3x. Only s long loop (too much distance to transverse with the ambush once you gained control of pallet) can survive this.

  • I understand what you’re saying. But the reason is killer mains play killer; is that it is so much harder than survivor and we welcome the challenge. If you move the roar to the end, she’ll be overpowered. You’d basically get a free hit every time, as the survivor’s only defense is juking (which only works on bad killers) or sprint burst away. She’s easily the best 1st hit killer in the game, no need to make that easier. And I’m not sure what you mean by sneaking up on people at the gen, there is no roar for that.

Yes, freddy is weak. Good for midtier survivors only sucks,I main freddy and trust me, it's really up to survivors if you do well. I'm a fan but weak is weak. Maybe you're lucky and face derpy survivors who can't loop lol

All you had to say was, I’m not that good with him. I’m averaging a 4 killer rank atm, and the Add ons are almost required at this point, still a 4K or 3 with a hatch out...easy 30k bp

  • The people who claim Freddy’s weak, just don’t know how to play him properly. He’s not the strongest, but he is good. With his add-ons, he’s GREAT. Against low-mid ranked survivors (10-20), you should get a 4K every time, or 3 with 1 hatch escape. This applies to mid/low ranked survivors only: they don’t respect Freddy, so they make dumb mistakes, like unhooking a mate right in front of you...2 easy dream pulls, easy tunneling opportunity. Tunneling is frowned upon, but who cares. If they’re going to make a mistake that dumb, they should pay for it. And imo, Legion is top 5 killers...best map pressure killer in the game.

  • What’s there to complain about? They want to give you free hits? Take them lol. If they’re all trying to prevent unhooks, no one is doing gens...excellent map pressure without doing much of anything, they’re helping you lol. Flashlights are easy to counter; always try to face a wall, tree, some obstacle when picking up. Sometimes this is just not possible, starting looking straight up after the pick if there’s are no obstacles in place. Most times, after downing, you can pause on their body half a second before picking (see if you hear anyone), then go after the flasher. Takes minimal practice for either technique. Just remember, in DbD, you have to have few crappy games with each killer before you can have good ones (many with Nurse). Good luck.

  • The secret message thing sounds great...only part I like. The roar exists at the beginning of an ambush for a reason, the game would be too easy if there wasn’t some type of non perk warning. The Pig is easily a great mid tier killer already. Her ambush attack greatly comes in use for loops and jungle gym hot spots. With looping being the #1 way for a survivor to prolong a chase, this is VERY useful. It is also why unlike many others, I don’t mind survivors being able to waltz out the exit with a trap still on. The goal of traps is to prolong gen repairs, not kill. If the gates are opened, you no longer need to prolong gen repairs lol. The Pig is fine (and plenty strong) just the way she is, no enhancements needed.
