DS - quality of life idea

  • While perk is active and you are in dying state, it will take twice as long to lose DS.

This will punish Killers that still want to tunnel but they don't want to eat DS so they will have to wait twice as long to avoid DS, that means dying Survivor have better chance to be saved by a teammate OR Killer will be punished in waiting longer (=gens are free).

  • If different Survivor is hooked again, DS will immediately deactivate.

When you hook someone new and then you found again your previous hooked person, that's not tunneling. Don't punish killers for "oh I found you again soon" when they are not rly trying to tunnel people.

  • I like ds how it is right now, would prefer it to not be changed in any way

DS is in good spot right now, but still I think some few changes would make that perk even better :P

not for others who can perform well enough in a chase to last more than 45 seconds. your proposed change sounds like nothing more than a downgrade

Only thing I want to see changed with DS is that it's no longer an invulnerability perk once the exit gates are powered and open. Tunneling doesn't exist at that point.

how does tunneling no longer exist when the gates are open?

"While perk is active and you are in dying state, it will take twice as long to lose DS."

I'm pretty sure the devs had slugging in mind when they decided on the 60 second time frame. It's enough time for your teammates to pick you up or the killer loses a significant amount of time if he camps you while you are on the ground.

"If different Survivor is hooked again, DS will immediately deactivate."

Absolutely. DS is supposed to be an anti-tunnel-perk and should not punish killers for finding + downing survivors fast.

  • I mean dont tunnel the guy or just downed that guy and find other survivor simple solution

  • While perk is active and you are in dying state, it will take twice as long to lose DS.

I can get behind these ideas because it add more precautions and it prevents loopholes within the perk.

  • DS, while nerfed last time is still too strong. T3 is 60 seconds...many times a non-killer can find you in the process of healing as you already safely moved away...and you can still use it. Need a buff? No way, the point of hooking is to force another off a gen, as if the game needs another buff to gen rushing. Thanks for voicing your opinion, but this idea belongs in a garbage bin.

Edit Note: Talk to your team, 85% of killers will take a new chase if your rescuer begins a “distraction chase”.

I wouldn't call it too strong. It has easy counter-play: just don't tunnel or wait 60 seconds. That's it. But it's still powerfull, but no way near power level how it was.
