If it is Wesker, it'll be his super sonic speed though that would be basically like teleporting, but he'll still have collision effects with everything. Think Nurse, but can't go through things. I'd be all for it though, cause i'm for anything Resident Evil (well, except for the new Netflix abomination.)
You mean like... a second Blight ?

My games on RPD are almost always trash, whether on survivor or killer.
But I really like the map still. I think its esthetic, and sound design are great. I think a slight rework might be needed, but the map as is looks amazing.
-
I do think some things that are generally unfun for everyone, or the vast majority, should be prevented.
But it is simultaneously true that not everyone has the same idea of fun. I personally have most fun playing friendly and adopting survivors. My best friend has most fun when stomping.
-
I like unlocking the perks on all characters. But it's true that at some point when you've levelled up your character enough times, it becomes tedious having to complete the smaller levels of the bloodweb again.

It's not balanced for the top, I'd say its balanced more towards the middle of people who do gens and understand a loop to some extent.
You dont have to be a god looper, but it pushes people to start playing better and as a team as before too many people got in an mmr way higher than they should be (it's a bad ranking system tbf but it people still got carried)
Killer wins at low mmr, survivors easily win at high mmr and the middle is a mix but it does require your team to all be actively playing as it should
I guess you're right. I wish it was easier to coordinate with solos, though.
Also, I hadn't noticed before, but I like your username !
-
A lot of people on both sides are still having fun with the changes, and I'm genuinely happy for them ! Some of these changes were a long time coming.
I personally don't really have fun as survivor anymore, as beginners are pretty much death fodder now.
-
Feels like killers are playing more agressively and more dirty as well, which dampers a lot of the fun I had pre patch. As a beginner player, my escape rate already wasn't stellar but now it's just L-O-L, and the fun is also at an all time low unless I play killer.
Doing gens is boring and unrewarding in terms of points, but you can't afford to go find totems or open chests anymore. It's pretty much M1 or die.
-
I agree that having a larger FoV would be extremely nice, and that Ruin was over-nerfed. (Gonna have to start playing Overcharge on my Hag, I need that setup time)
However, as a new player who's mostly survivor, I can assure you that we feel the difference. My escape rate before the update was about 30%, now it's maybe 10% (Less if you don't count the killers having pity on me/my team and letting me go).

Yeah I'm not seeing that, sounds like made up survivor bs to me. All the well known killer mains are still playing and alot say people are over reacting.

Game is rough for new players in general, you have alot to learn. But we cant balance a game around new players... I know it sucks but that ruins all other levels of play
I understand that a game should not be balanced only to make new player's lives easy, but it shouldn't balance around top tier players either.
Surely there is a middle ground that doesn't make the game suck for beginners and casuals?
-
Does Third Seal affect seeing your Plaything's aura ?
If so then that's op as well.
-
Some Wraiths don't camp or tunnel, and they are glorious.
They are rare though. Like unicorns.
... I shouldn't make fun of them, a Wraith was pretty nice to my teammates and I the other day when he saw he had us all on death hook with 3 gens remaining.
-
Without tunneling and camping ?
Maybe 10 to 15 minutes tops (because 4Ks, not by opening gates). But that's because my friend and I are beginners and still suck at surviving.
Honorable mention to that Impossible Skillcheck Doctor who obliterated the whole team yesterday in about 5 minutes. (I actually love this build, I'm not even mad)
-
I remember doing well agaisnt a Blight on Eyrie, and I'm TERRIBLE at chases.
There is definitely something wrong with the collision on this map.
-
As a beginner in the game (started a couple of months ago and play infrequently), I'd beg to differ.
Even on comms with one friend and without teammates actively throwing, our escape rate is ridiculous. The game was already hard to learn before, but at least we had some escapes and it felt encouraging.
Literally the only escape I got yesterday was because a Bubba took mercy on me and allowed me to wiggle out and open the gate.
-
Had a cheating teammate the other day on RPD against a Nemesis.
It became a 4 v 1, but against the cheating survivor. They eventually DCed after being cornered and shamed (we kept pointing at them).
We spent the rest of the game playing friendly with the killer (there is nothing sweeter than a Nemesis hitting his own zombies to protect you). We all reported, via the ingame report system, but we had no video proof.
-
Killer vision is also so much darker than survivor sight. I'm not all for buffing killers even more, but some parts of maps are just horrible to go through.
-
I think it "cleans up" more beginners and casuals than toxic players.
-
I'm still running into either very skilled killers (the kind that 4Ks before a gen has popped) or very unsavory ones (camp/tunnel, 3Ks and 4Ks), and my escape rate is laughable. Weirdly enough, it feels easier to pip up than before the patch, for reasons that are a mystery to me.
I hope it stabilizes soon.
-
I mean, to be fair, it's only been a week. This could also be from the anniversary event being over.
I'm curious what the numbers will be in a couple of weeks though !
-
Is it possible that they were REAL serious about prestiging before the patch ? I know my characters went from Prestige 1 to Prestige 3, maybe they were like, prestige 33 before?
(I started playing two months ago, I have no idea if that was even possible, just spitballing ideas here)
Still seems unlikely, as there were literally no benefits to prestiging.

wanna see things finally balanced for solo q survivors? relegate SWF to custom matches and then you can balance properly (or at least trying to balance since asymmetrical games are almost impossible to balance)
I mean, some of us like playing DbD with friends but don't have 4 friends who play to do custom games. Plus custom does not reward bloodpoints, so we could not progress in the game while having fun.
Also, the problem is not SWFs. It's bullies. A casual SWF does not have a 100% escape rate, and generally does not bully.
-
I've seen youtubers do Victor-only runs, it sounds fun, you might want to check it out !
-
Whether they were doing well or not, misplaying or not;
The game still didn't look fun or pleasant.
-
I'd rather have killers run bbq and not camp, to be honest.
-
Out of 5 games played tonight, 2 campers/tunnelers and 3 genuinely good players.
Only survived once on a Bubba's mercy (what a world we live in that Bubba has more heart than other killers!).
As a surprising note, one of the campers/tunnelers was truly lovely in postgame chat.
-
I've been mostly playing only survivor since the update, because my friend was online and we always play survivor together.
Games have been mostly miserable, as we are both new to the game and learning is hard, especially since the update.
100% bonus might not be a lot on a tunneled game at 5Kbp, but it would be enough to have less DCs ! And it would make grinding as survivor much easier. Right now, if I need bloodpoints, I do killer games. A bad killer game is more rewarding than a bad survivor game.
-
Update : Overcharge and Dead Hard have been updated in the Bugfix Patch 6.1.1., and so has been the typo in Borrowed Time.
The English sentence in Tinkerer has not yet been fixed.
-
All your points are fair and I agree with you.
The updating of the perks effects was sloppy on other languages as well. French version didn't even have Dead Hard's effect updated iniatially ! The descriptions are slowly being corrected though, a bunch of them have been fixed with the bugfix patch yesterday. I'm pretty sure it won't be a problem for long.
-
Slugging for the 4K is unfortunately so common right now, even down here in lower mmr. You'll get called a toxic camper if you don't suicide to try and raise your teammate, even if the killer themselves is right there camping the downed survivor.
Thankfully, some killers have mercy and will farm a bit to make the game a bit less miserable for the stomped survivors.
It is also sad that bad manners are rampant among killers, because even casual killers themselves are suffering from it. I had a Billy apologizing in postgame chat for playing killer, as if this messy situation was his fault ? And a beginner Ghostface feeling guilty for camping his second hook of the game during the collapse, thus letting the survivor be rescued only to get insulted by her afterwards... (We other survivors roasted her at that, the guy was sweet and obviously new, he didn't do anything wrong and she was just ungrateful)
-
I strongly disagree.
In my experience, before the NOED nerf, someone being downed and hooked with NOED was generally left behind because no one wanted to take risks walking around the map to find hidden totems.
Since the update, I've had several games where people took the time to look for the hex totem. During that time, unless the killer is camping, they can get other chases and other hooks. There is still snowball potential, which was always NOED's strong suit.
I don't think NOED should amount to free kills at the end of the game by being extremely hard to cleanse.
-
Might be a silly thing to ask, but what's the problem with Adrenaline and Unbreakable? Both are perks used only once in the whole game ?
Unbreakable especially, now that DS is nerfed to the ground and below, why would anyone complain about Unbreakable? Against a good killer, that perk is scarcely ever used. Against a tunneler / camper it isn't used either.
There are more scenarios where Unbreakable is a perk slot lost than scenarios where it is actually used, that's maybe the opposite of a busted perk ?
-
Hope they'll be back soon. I haven't played killer since the update because I don't want long queue times, but playing survivor currently is not rewarding enough in bloodpoints.
-
I don't think taking a protection hit is toxic, nor should it be taken as such.
The same way that someone bringing a flashlight doesn't mean they are toxic.
If a killer is not willing to accept a 5 seconds delay in their chase for the unhooker, and tunnels, it's more lazy of them than anything.
-
It's really a hit or miss for me.
I'm still pretty much on low mmr (started the game a couple of months ago), and most games are going okay, I'm seeing more variety in terms of killers than I used to before the update.
It's definitely harder to escape, considering neither me nor the friend I play with are any good at chases, but we have some good games.
Unfortunately, (I'm guessing) the low mmr makes it so that 30% of my games are against tunnelers, camper or sluggers.
I still haven't found a build that works well for me (and before anyone suggests OTR, I don't want to pay 6$ and 15h of grind for a perk.)
So yeah. Hit or miss !
-
Survivors : *Don't go for the unhook, let their teammate die*
Killers : Damn you, SWF, communicating that I'm camping ! / Such toxic teammates, they don't even try to play the game !
Survivors : *go for the unhook not knowing the killer is camping, get killed*
Killers : I mean, they allowed it to happen. It's kinda their fault.
-
Survivors already don't have that many tools against killer.
Don't take protection hits away from them too... Taking the heat off of a teammate's back is not bullying by any means.
It's the point : acting collectively to survive.

Maybe as a passive she can slowly turn survivors to stone, reducing movement speed if you leave it alone but if you go and grab a hammer and chisel you can slow its growth. Then again, that would be extremely annoying hahaha.
I think reducing movement speed would be very strong, a bit too much.
Maybe the turning to stone thing could be either a Mori (that would be extremely cool as a survivor to stumble upon the fear-stricken shape of your past teammate, set in stone...) or a mechanic similar to Pyramid Head's cages as a replacement for hooks ?
-
I mean, Amanda is not a Pig, but fair point !
-
Snek
I'm doing for the esthetic, and I think it would be cool if the animations for grabbing or hitting people could have some of the snakes curling in front of her face and be visible in first person !
I wonder how her "canon" vision based power could translate in DbD... That being said, it would be possible to have another Gorgon with different mechanics, the same way Magic : The Gathering has Vraska as an assassin but without turning people to stone.
-
I wholeheartedly agree.
People who say this update is the fairest thing in the whole wide world think of 4-man SWFs as the norm, when they're 5% of the survivor playerbase. The casual 50+% of survivors are not having a good time with the update.
The people against whom this update was made (high tier swfs) already know how to loop, and mindgame, and escape. They'll adapt and still bully if they feel like it.
It's casual players who are taking the brunt of the bad sides of the update.
-
It IS true that it's much easier getting points as killer. If I need to grind for a while, I know that even playing super friendly and not killing more than 2 people, I'll get much more points than I would playing a normal game as survivor.
Plus as a killer, you don't have the uncertainty of whether you'll be killed 5 minutes into the game if the killer feels like tunneling.
I do feel like more bloodpoints rewards for survivors wouldn't hurt.
-
That's really nice to know !! I never got into this situation before, now I almost want to !
Also, don't worry about your build. People were complaining about Legion before the update too, but they're fun to play ! Don't listen to anyone trying to damper your fun.
Signed : someone who loves both playing Legion and going against Legion :D
-
If the devs haven't cared for months, I doubt they will now.
Let's just all adapt, maybe it'll go from bug to feature ! /s
-
Survivors are discouraged, not trying to inflate killrates.
Playing survivor just got much harder, and at the same time more boring and less rewarding, that's why people are on edge and giving up. Not because they're chuckling to themselves about how they're mind-gaming the devs.
-
You can't say "claudette main"

Agreed. Remove bloodlust and lunge attack and made them perks also
My ability to understand written sarcasm is a bit rusty, so I'm going to assume you are serious.
I wouldn't personally go that far, but I respect your opinion.
-
SoloQ should not have to sacrifice a perk slot in order for the game to be playable for them.
-
The other day I had a daily with Bill. I had to escape as him.
I haven't levelled him up, so I only had one perk slot and could only take one of his base perks lvl 1. Since I had a bad feeling about my abilities to escape with him, I took the one that allows you to see the hatch's aura.
I went into a game like that, with one friend and two solos. We ended up on The Game against a Nurse. I played normally, doing gens and saves, until only my friend and I remained. We were both on death hook.
Since I didn't want to play a second game as an (essentially) perkless Bill, my friend and I agreed that he should try to die first so that I could find hatch and get this daily done. Sure enough, the Nurse finds him and downs him.
But then she lets him slugged on the ground to bleed out. Like, camping his slugged body, waiting for me to come for the save, even though it was obvious she was hovering around him and would have downed me as well.
So I stayed on the lower level, hopped in lockers, crouched around, etc for the whole time my friend was bleeding out, as agreed.
I did find hatch when it popped up, but that killer had the gall to insult me in endgame chat and call me a camper "worse than a camping killer", that I made her lose her time, that I was the worst survivor ever and didn't deserve the hatch, etc. When we told her that it was for a daily and that the slugged person was 100% okay with me leaving them to bleed out, she got mad and said that "if I had told her I needed to escape for a challenge, of course she would have let me go !", which, for sure, is the message that translated from her slugging my friend to delay hatch spawn and get her 4K.
Also, how would I have told her ?
And if she didn't want to lose her time, couldn't she have hooked my friend instead of slugging him and smartly wait for me to come die at her feet ?
I swear sometimes, there should be a mechanic where if the killer's left you on the ground on purpose for that long you should be able to get up on your own without wasting a perk slot for it.
-
Mount Ormond
Pro : I like how domestic the place is. Like, it's a map in a horror-themed game and there are picnic tables ? The exact same I see everywhere when I'm on holidays ! It really reminds of ski lodges I went to as a kid.
(... Plus it's the Legion map so I heart that ! And there's the Legion mural that Jeff painted !)
Con : It's so bright it's hard to hide.
-
A death is a death, so it definitely counts as 4K.
Chances are these survivors would just rather die on their own than having to sit through the death hook animation with the killer still in sight.
If the killer showed bad manners throughout the game, I'd rather die from Nea's claws in a corner in EGC than have the killer hit me on hook nodding yes. Still, I wouldn't say I "won" by any means. I just died the way that bothered me the least.
