  • It's offensive for you to even put Ace against that thing.

  • I'm already 100% without doubt robbed of grabs and hits from these servers, so I don't imagine it will be that much worse if it also comes with the benefit of taking care of VPN users.

You make an absolutely good point and drew focus to an oversight I've made. Of all the comments I've received on this post, this one is the best.

Perhaps if I reduced the duration on Poised from 10 seconds to 5 seconds maximum, would that be fairer for Dance With Me? I too believe Dance With Me should be buffed to last 5 seconds rather than 3.

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. Glad you like the feedback. :)

TBH I think Dance With Me being only 3 seconds is too low, but if it was too much more it might be really hard to keep track of survivors. Like you said, reducing the max duration of your suggested Poised version just a little bit (I would be totally fine with something like 5 or 6 seconds) and making Dance With Me a little bit better, around the same 4-6 second range, would be my ideal vision of this happening. That way I feel like it would let you gain more than just a little distance (you can cover a good amount of distance running at 5 seconds) and it would make both perks decently viable, I would think at least.

  • All I'm saying is that if you knew it was bugged (which they announced very clearly) and that they would be fixing it, why wouldn't you stock up?

  • Because it gives a window of room to breathe that punishes the killer for ######### up.

It's the same reason they took away Nurse's 5 blinks: there has to be some sort of reward for being able to outplay a killer. Just like Huntress, how she can't just keep chucking hatchets over, and over, and over, and over infinitely. She has to reload and cool down at some point.

  • I think it should be more in line with Dance With Me. If a killer is stunned they already can't look around and see what you're doing. I'm not saying that Dance With Me RN has a good duration, but I feel like if this perk were to be changed like this, DWM should be extended to match this one (like maybe 6 seconds of no scratches) or this effect knocked a little lower. I just feel like it would be weird having a "no scratch marks" perk that lasts for 10 whole seconds and can be activated only with a stun. The reason I think it's weird is because DWM requires you to fast vault through a window, which already notifies the killer where you are. On top of that, if you don't want an audio notification you'll need Quick and Quiet, and if you want extra speed you'll have to end up bringing Lithe to make up more distance with the no scratches. If you could just get 10 seconds of no scratches just from a blind while a killer is vaulting/breaking something, that seems like it would not only be strong but it would make DWM feel kind of obsolete.

I just don't want a perk to become useless just because another one gets released, kind of like what happened with Slippery Meat and Deliverance. (Not that Slippery Meat was ever a good perk necessarily.)

  • Because that's where the strengths of their kit are.

  • I kinda feel bad. It goes for killers and survivors both: if I'm playing one side and the killer on the other side or one of the survivors seems like they don't exactly know what they're doing, I'll give them the respect of not playing like a douche against them. If they still get mad at stuff I did, then I can't really feel bad for them because they can't be mad at me for just doing what I need to in order to survive them.

In a roundabout way, I guess you could say I do feel bad for them, at least enough to play differently.

Read my post above yours. You can refund a DbD DLC on Steam. I have done it three times now.

Oop, thanks for the correction correction then. LOL

U cant even refund DLCs, only the base game (at least that's the case on steam)

That's weird, because I've seen online people saying that you can under a certain playtime. Good correction to make though, I don't want to put out misinformation.

  • No. I see plenty of people commenting about how they wait until the refund period is over before nerfing their killer.

I can't exactly say they're wrong. If the killer was that bad for the game's health, they wouldn't have kept him from the testing servers to live.

I'm a person who likes to have all the stuff so I guess to me it's not going to exactly cause me to stop buying the license characters entirely, maybe I might try to get a code out of a giveaway or something... But man, I wish if they really planned on nerfing stuff that they would just do it right off the bat. They let all these killers walk around playing like douches (Iridescent Head on Huntress has existed for how long now..?) and don't bat an eye, but they release a big licensed character who isn't even top tier, everyone complains that they can't use their DS and BT against him, and how he tunnels sooo hard compared to other killers (when he doesn't) and then they change this already mediocre killer.

That's just how game balance goes. You can't please everyone, and the company is bound to make some oopsies. Just wish their oopsies were a little more sensible.

  • I mean, it's a nerf. Not a "nerf." It's not like it was just a bugfix or anything.

in Ph "NeRf" Comment by Huff
  • Spirit doesn't give a lot of tells as to when she's using her power. Wraith does. I think that's the big difference between them. You can see Wraith coming, you can hear him coming, and he has to channel to both go invisible and go visible.

  • The change itself wasn't bad.

The fact that they did it to a killer that's much more underwhelming than a lot of other killers that can do worse... That's the true tragedy.

I don't even think he needs to camp cages or anything, but jeez at the very least give him a small change to help him out in a different way, like maybe actually give him a way to directly apply his torment so he can use cages more often. First thought I had was making survivors that get hit with the range attack become tormented. It's like the same looking effect as the trails, and his ranged attack isn't even that good, and punishes him heavily for using it.

I just thought the nerf to the cages was kind of dumb just because I didn't see them get used unless it was against stupid people. I wouldn't mind the change so much if it came with a quality of life buff like that to make it to where even if he's weaker now in that cage aspect, he can still use the thing more reliably and not just feel like an M1 killer with a slow projectile.

I agree there's better camping killers, i.e Freddy. The issue is that if you're tunneled by a pig or LF, you have the chance to use the perks you brought with you i.e DS or BT. Yeah, they can slug you for 60 seconds. But the perk still procs. PH cages had no counter to tunneling.

Yeah, and they also don't have to do any sort of setup like PH does. I think it's a fair tradeoff for the perks to still work on Bubba, for example, because he gets a down and all he has to do is sit in front of the hook with his saw revved and nobody is getting past him without trading.

At least with PH, even if he's attacking you, it's still within the survivors' control whether or not they get tormented. PH can't torment somebody by hitting them directly with his M2 range ability. Maybe they should do that as a compensation buff, so he can actually cage people more often even if he doesn't get to go camp them. Point is, other killers don't have to do the setup just to be a scumbag.

Also, with your example of Freddy (and other killers for that matter) BT still won't work. You can't be in Freddy's terror radius when he doesn't have one, and has to do literally nothing to make that happen. He just has to wait.

  • I want to state that I still don't think DS should work like that. I had another person on these forums suggest that and they were arguing that "tunneling" doesn't have to happen right as you're getting off hook. I can see that logic, but when you think about it, if you make the timer progress 2x faster from 60 seconds, even if the survivors are immediately healing or doing a gen or totem off hook, they still get more than 30 seconds of their mini god mode. They could also just do things that aren't a generator, like running around in your face trying to get you to chase or lingering around for pallet stuns/flashlight saves. Heck, they could even still try to use the DS timer to go kamikaze and hook rescue right in the killer's face.

DS just shouldn't work as it is in general RN. It needs to completely deactivate when you do those things, because as I told that other person from the other thread, if you feel like you're being tunneled, you aren't going to stop to do a gen, heal, or cleanse a totem.

All the other stuff I feel is creative and strong enough to work though. OoO sounds like the weirdest, but I never use it personally so I wouldn't know if it's necessarily better or worse.

  • Not to mention it's within the survivors' control for the most part whether they get tormented or not.

I'm not even saying that it was fun to go against PH that camps and tunnels, but it just baffles me that this is the hot topic right now when there's so much worse things.

Now some people might argue little things like, the distance between him and the cage/how fast he can get to it, or certain things like that, but I think most people can agree that Pyramid Head can't do a lot to force the survivors to step in his trails, and any amount of time that he's spending trying to get you to step on it is time that he could just be downing you instead.

  • It was necessary to save them the headache of dealing with whining.

It's okay though, people don't whine about other killers that can play like dicks and get away with it, so all the other ones are fine. As long as people don't get their DS/BT cancelled.

  • @room___237 said:

Im not sure if this has been discussed in the past, but it probably has. I think it has alot of potential though and needs to be discussed .

What would you think if comms were proximity based? This could be something where when talking near the killer the killer could get a notification. It would be a way to actually balance comms and talking too much could be detrimental. There could be comm based perks, but that wouldn't be essential. Still though, think of all of the possibilities...further range, closer proximity for the killer to get notification, etc.. Use your imagination. Like i said though the perk idea wouldn't be essential. Most of the blow back I've heard about why this would be a bad idea is based around it being an easy way to bully the killer or other players. The simple solution to that would be an option to turn it off as survivor and play as is now if those problems occur when playing survivor. When playing as killer there could be just a simple notification when people are on comms and within a pre-determined proximity to you. This is something I think the devs would be able to work out to find the best balance. Then there would be no need to worry about bullying killer, as killer can already be bullied in the same ways using notifications and other interactions that are already in the game and the comms idea would add no new interactions outside of the notifications and how they are already in game.

Another knock against this idea is that "people would just play comms the same way they do now." which is a possibility I don't deny. If the game had no way of muting the mic when one was connected to the game system it would also solve this. So, if you are playing DBD and have your mic on, you would be subject to this, even if you were also using a third party comm software. People would essentially have to have a comm system not connected to the console or PC to get away with it and that would deter that type of thing. If using a 3rd party comm system, yes, they would have unlimited range, but the killer would still get a notification when near someone speaking into their mic. That wouldn't change, and there is a way to do that. It would be a little more powerful for survivors using current comms then the idea I'm posing, but that is already available and having a notification for killer WOULD add more balance anyway you look at it.

I just ask you to think about this, and please behaviour, do the same. The idea may need some tweaks, Im not suggesting it is perfect. There is a ton of potential for growth with this though... including: ideas for perks, ideas for killer types (adds a whole new dimension on how new killers could be designed and I have some great ideas here for licensed killers using this), more balance, more fun.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I am sorry if it is long winded, but it is something I have been thinking about for a while and I wanted to hear what others thought about it. Please, I ask you, when playing as either killer or survivor, think of the possibilities of something like this and how it could add to the enjoyment of your game play while also thinking of possible applicable areas it could be used and post them to this thread. I would appreciate hearing all of your ideas. If you have problems that would occur with this, also post them. There are no bad discussions on this.

I don't think you should have to use a microphone to access certain parts of the game, like your idea of the chat perks.

Survivors could also troll/bad survivors will be even worse to have on your team, due to the fact that they can create notifications on demand, on the spot.

Why you changed it in the middle of the event? That was the dumbest thing you could do. I spend 2 million BP before the 4.0.2 update and i got 5 event med-kits and 5 event fl. Today i spend, idk, 400k BP and got the same amount?

    WHY?

It's like mine 1.6 million BP were just gone.

    "WHY?"

Because you spent all those points before they were able to get a patch out..?

  • Man, this one dude missed the whole point...

"Blame the unhooked survivor, whos the only one innocent"

    LOL.

  • If it isn't known as a bug, and the devs don't come out saying it's unintended, then I see no reason to be afraid of using the perks. If it works like that, use it. It's the devs' fault for making a mistake like that anyway so if it stays in the game and they don't do anything about it, there's no reason to believe that it really is a bug.

It's kind like how moris can work with PH's cages even though people constantly are saying that the cages don't count for Pop, BBQ, Decisive, so moris shouldn't count either. It seems like maybe it shouldn't work like that, but if it comes into the game like that when the devs should have tested this stuff, then it's not your fault for just using the tools you're given in the game.

  • They literally said that in a devstream. It's not big news, it's been established for a while now.

  • I'm not saying everyone who thinks the change is bad is a tunneling camper or whatever...

Just, if that is your playstyle, might as well convert over to Bubba or Pig. IDK why people complained so much about PH camping when other killers can do it much more effectively without having to set up a trail.

At least with these killers people can still camp and tunnel with little to no penalty (other than potentially losing the game, which is a given when somebody just camps all game) and we know BHVR won't change them since they haven't been touched in forever.

  • I'm not too sore about it in general, but I just think it's funny how they change this about PH when there's plenty of worse things that could be addressed instead but aren't. Especially because people like to claim there's "no counter" do it when you can go a whole game without even becoming tormented.

  • "No counter" to an ability that requires survivors to run/walk through a trail.

    Yea.

  • I agree. I've always thought that the addons should be more like bonuses or treats than regular things to bring in every single game. I think it should be pretty normal to be running the browns and stuff (as those ones are obviously the most common) while having the higher tier ones such as the greens and purples, or even iridescents, be treated like special items that you bring in every one in a while.

It's way too common for me to see a majority of the killers I face running two purples or a purple and a green or two greens, or even two iridescents. It's just insane to think that people just have these to be just throwing them out every game, especially ebonies and keys. (I obviously know killers don't get keys; I feel like this issue goes for both sides.)

  • Make the radius smaller to prevent flashlight plays and pallet stuns?

    What?

  • I think I agree with that first comment. It might just be the killers you play. Plus, at 500 hours, I'm guessing you aren't P3 with all perks on too many killers, so you probably don't have a lot of extra addons to be using either. In my experience, these things just make it way easy to win, and that might be what you're missing aside from just picking better killers. For a lot of killers, the difference between bringing a brown/yellow addon vs. a purple one is enormous.

It could also be the pip system just not being that great as well.

  • I've said it in a couple posts before but that was a while back so I'll say it again here:

I think they should have something similar to the "Arcade" that they have in Overwatch. There's the main game available for people to play, but in the arcade section there's a bunch of different alternate game mods (such as one that switches your character every time you die, IIRC.) They even have a rotating game mode in there I believe.

    Someone on Twitter translated it.

"It's an ASCII string using its equivalent decimal values.

     65=A 32=Space 119=w 105=i 110=n 110=n 101=e 114=r 32=Space 105=i 115=s 32=Space 121=y 111=o 117=u 46=.

Which translates to: A winner is you."

Thanks friend :) I'm not smart enough to figure something like that out by myself lol

  • There was one that was written in mostly numbers in brackets, followed up with something to the effect of (Such and such developer has trouble speaking like a human sometimes.) I can't remember exactly what it said but I was wondering if anybody translated that yet. I'm too lazy to figure out what it means.

  • Some can use their powers to gain speed (Legion quite literally has a button they press that makes them run.)

Other than that, no there's not a run command. Killers always move at a constant speed if you don't count the small slowdown when they switch directions.

  • It is worth a perk slot. The only downside is if you go against somebody who really doesn't want you to use it, and is playing a character that can hide terror radius/go undetectable. Any of those characters can just camp and camp and BT won't do a thing to stop them. Otherwise, you can just make plays right up in the killer's face, so yeah I think it's good.

You need me to read the OP back to you? Okie dokie.

"I made the choice to check on some DBD news knowing that the event was close and I discovered a letter from the team discussing "equal representation" and "giving sexual orientation" to the characters. Now IMO this is a poor move by the team because of the RPG element that this game currently has... "

OK, so here we go. Introducing greater representation is a bad move because this game has some unspecified RPG elements. Which means he does not want the Role of a gay person when he Plays this Game.

"maybe BHVR you can do this right but it has been done wrong many times before, the latest example is "The Last of Us 2", the players hate this game. "

The players hate TLOU2. We have not discussed any issues like writing, gameplay, etc, etc. We have only discussed representation and diversity as a general concept to be a potential problem. TLOU2 has a non-binary protagonist. The players hate it. The only reasonable conclusion to draw here is that OP thinks the players hate it because of that representation.

"Another example is "Batwoman" the tv series on CW. the batwoman tv series is an example of the saying "get woke, go broke", in just one season the show lost 1million viewers because of how hard they pushed the agenda."

How else does one read 'get woke, go broke' than to say if you prioritize representation, you're doomed to failure. Again, he is making the suggestion that the show failed because they pushed an unspecified agenda, which, considering nothing has been shared to be problematic except the general concept of representation, that the "agenda" is just that.

"I really don't want to see a game that I am trying to get back into become a "Batwoman" or "TLOU 2" and seeing that letter set off a red flare telling me not to play because of where this game could be going, neither batwoman or "TLOU2" show "equal representation" please don't be like them!"

Now, TLOU2 and Batwoman could not be any different in terms of critical and commercial success, style, and substance. The only real comparison or through note is the fact that they have non-binary protagonists. That's it. So don't be like them and have non-binary protagonists.

Nothing cherry picked, that's literally every sentence in order of the relevant section of the OP. I'm not putting words in his mouth, I'm taking them at face value. I'd ask you to provide a quote from the OP where he says something different, but that's everything he said.

"Now IMO this is a poor move by the team because..." = "I don't want to play the role of a gay person" in your mind.

"maybe BHVR you can do this right but it has been done wrong many times before..." = "TLOU2 has a non-binary protagonist. The players hate it. The only reasonable conclusion to draw here is that OP thinks the players hate it because of that representation" in your mind.

Are you starting to see the pattern here? If you don't, I don't know what to say to somebody like you.

I think it proves my point well enough.

That's why I asked for a quote. You can't find me one where he's saying what you're saying. All you can manage is to pull up a quote and give me what you think he's saying. You are the exact type of divisive person I was referring to earlier that we don't need in this kind of conversation. You are a prime example of what people talk about when they say "pushing an agenda." All you know how to do is water things down to the most extreme degree so you can try to apply your dogma to it. That's what ruins media. That's what's being complained about here.

If you can't recognize how utterly disingenuous you're being, then I have no further reason to reply to you. Get real.

  • If more people use them later then as a whole everybody will get more I guess, but personally I've been using all this bonus BP to level the characters I don't want to usually or that still need teachables unlocked. Then I end up having a bunch of cakes on those characters (who I know I'm going to prestige and reset my stuff anyway) so I feel like I have to use them all up on that character before I prestige. The only characters I'm saving up mass amounts of stuff on are the few that I have P3 already (right now that would be Ace, Hag, Doc) so I can use them at my own leisure.

So I guess for me it's mostly a matter of wanting to have as little as possible on a character before prestiging them.

  • Yea, nobody likes being camped or tunneled, but you're fooling yourself if you think PH can do it that much better than other killers.

Sure, he can cancel out popular survivor 2nd chance perks. Now what's worse between that, or going against a basement Bubba with Insidious?

What about Billy who can go from one end of the map to the other in just a couple seconds with his chainsaw (which is also an instant down that prevents people from bodyblocking from full health state)?

What about Trapper, who can set traps all over an area and not leave, which makes it practically impossible for any save to be made without him knowing because of his trap snapping sound effect?

What about Hag who can teleport from a huge distance when her traps are triggered, which also lets her ignore BT if she teleports from far enough, and allows her to camp while also making use of hook perks like Make Your Choice or Devour Hope?

There's so many killers that can camp and be annoying. While yes, PH can cancel certain perks, he's not even that bad to play against otherwise. He has a projectile that's completely possible to dodge that also gives him like a 4 second stun just for missing it, his trail only works if you let it work, and otherwise he's just really an M1 killer. I much prefer going against PH than a moderately competent Billy or Hag or basement build Leatherface or something because with those killers I know there's absolutely no way I'm getting away if they want me dead. With PH even if he cages you, at the very least it sends you away and gives you some time before the killer actually gets to you.

I just don't think the whole tunneling and whatnot complaints against him are all that valid. If people really hate tunneling and camping that much, there's much worse killers to complain about that can down people much more quickly. Hell, I'd even argue that if somebody is good at Nurse that they can camp like hell too. Against a good Nurse, not only are you not going to be let go once you get hooked, but you won't even be able to win the chase in the first place because you can't really get away from a Nurse that knows what they're doing.

  • Pyramid Head's trails disappear pretty much instantly if you place them right next to a hook or generator. I find it hard to believe you were forced to run over the trail. Even if he put it around the area of the hook, PH can only put so much trail down, and you can crouch to avoid the effect. You might have to take a hit to get over the trail without being affected by it, but that's kind of the tradeoff with that trail. He can't use it if you don't let him.

Also, his ranged attack isn't even super hard to dodge.

IDK man, I'm not saying he's exactly a blast to play against, but he isn't nearly as bad as people make him out to be.

At least borrowed works against wraith as long as he’s not in cloak though

Any Wraith that's camping is going to be doing it stealth, so that's not really going to happen.

Also, he's not the only killer who can negate BT. Any killer technically can if they want to run insidious, but even Freddy or Pig can remove BT with minimal effort.

  • I'm not even trying to call you bad here or anything so please don't take it that way here:

If you like the game, why aren't you having fun? You feel like you're being bullied, no? So why not try to just get better? You said you don't want to be the best and that's perfectly fine, so if you are being "bullied" and that ruins your fun, why do you care?

I'm just kind of curious what your thought process is like here. Not trying to be a jerk.

  • Does it suck? Yes...

    But bannable offense? Ha.

  • I'm in the same boat as you. I'm not really a vehement hater of it, and I believe it could be done if it was done really well (I'm not exactly looking forward to the possibility either) but I do get tired of seeing the posts about it so often. It's part of why I get kind of annoyed with the fanbase a little bit.

To be clear, I'm all for people posting their ideas, but a lot of people say something like "I've read these different threads of people saying all these same things and I want to add to it!" I don't understand that because honestly at that point you might as well comment on that thread... That little nitpick aside, people can post their ideas as I said, it's just... I don't exactly get annoyed at people asking for Chucky because you might see something about him pop up every once in a long while, but it's not a constant bombardment.

Maybe the reason is because they gave a pretty definitive answer on Chucky being in the game (due to his size) and I'm not sure if they've done something like that where they acknowledge FNaF, but I wish they would just come out with something saying how they feel about it so people can just spam that in the thread any time somebody comes around asking for FNaF to be introduced. It's not like I don't want people to share their ideas, but when it's the same answer over and over in those threads I think that's the point where it just needs to be addressed so there can be a common knowledge answer to a FNaF proposal.

The OP is on the first page.

The only reason to bring up TLOU2 in the context of his complaint is in regards to having non-binary characters as that is the only characteristic about that game that links it to his general complaint. Are you trying to tell me that he brings up TLOU2 in the context of a complaint about representation as a "bad game" for other, unrelated, reasons and it just coincidentally happens to have a non-binary protagonist? Right.

The only examples of representation "done wrong" provided in the OP are two TV shows who are "pushing an agenda." Whatever this 'agenda' consists of is never explained or demonstrated beyond the meme slogan which itself doesn't really have a bearing on anything except to criticize the concept of wider representation. Probably because the 'agenda' is, "hey guys, gay people exist and that's ok. Look, here's one don't be afraid." And I don't particularly care if people feel like that message is being forced on them, because it's important. LGBT people in real life don't get to loop around pallets when the monster is chasing them.

You have to either be extraordinarily charitable and/or not very good at reading for comprehension to ignore the bigotry in the OP - this "citation needed" nonsense is pedantic misdirection. Yeah, it's more "I'm not racist but...." than all out rabid foam at the mouth stuff but give me a break. Try this - imagine BVHR said "all of our characters are white so we are going to make an effort to introduce other races" or "all of our characters are dudes so we are going to make some female characters" and put the OP's argument in that context.

Still waitin' on that quote. Otherwise I assume you're just trying to put words in the mouth of OP.

He says that there's other media that does it wrong, and lists those as examples. To assume what he means beyond that is nothing but your imagination, and unless you want to find me a quote where he's saying what you're telling me he's saying, you can just stop right there lmao

I apologize. I sometimes understand not every word of a message. Probably because of the language barrier since english is not my mother language.

No worries, it's understandable. Walls of text get kind of confusing sometimes. :P

  • The whole point of looping is to waste time. That alone means that "doing a pallet loop" isn't useless. Even unsafe pallets can be played, albeit much less effectively than safer ones. The whole point of a pallet is to be a temporary defense that the killer can break. Once the pallet is thrown, it creates a situation for the killer to deal with: they either have to decide to cut their losses and break it (in which case you run and gain a bunch of distance) or they take their chances and try to mindgame it. If you end up getting hit like you say you are, that means that they just ultimately ended up winning. It's not a bad thing necessarily either, killers have the upper hand usually so if you get away just from a pallet, that means you did something really right.

As for before the pallet is thrown, that's a whole other subject. That alone can be a mindgame in itself, whether or not the pallet even gets thrown.

Anyway, like I said, pallets might seem useless because you end up getting hit eventually, but you have to remember every second you're occupying the killer is a second he can't be harassing your group and that increases all survivors' chance of getting out. If anything, knowing how to loop a pallet is actually one of the least useless things you can do, probably behind doing a generator.

  • Last I heard, they do stack as well. I heard from Scott Jund saying that he had thought they didn't for a long time, and then he found out with some testing that it actually is slightly faster with both.

    I could be wrong though.

  • Some people just need to get up real quick and do something. I know I've done it a couple times before if I need to get up to take a leak.

I know what you mean otherwise. Some people kind of use it as a tactic. I've heard it from either side. Some people apparently know how to check what killer they're going against for some reason? Maybe that's an old trick, but as an example, killers would switch last second sometimes to avoid certain people like that. If you're a Hag player and somebody in a SWF group knows it and shouts that out to their friends, everybody is going to know to bring flashlights and urban evasions. As for survivors, I see them try to use last second switching in their favor to randomly switch to a character that has a decked out build, for example switching from a default Meg over to a "toxic Nea" with a key or other high tier item.

I would complain about people taking forever but I'm not exactly innocent of it either, although I don't go just waiting out every single timer. I'm usually good about it. But I try to be understanding.

Well, if you mean with this that I am against the tlou franchise as a whole and that I think that I wish the bhvr team would look more on the important things of the game like balance, bugs and maybe better if they can bring back some fun to some killer characters then we have finally understand :).

But with that I have not "attack a strawman". I have just say that I dislike a other franchise and that there should be more important things to do.

I think the mods of this forums know that I often criticize the game development for the things I think that they running wrong :).

No. To reiterate, I'm pointing out that not everybody is hating on it just to hate on it.

I quoted you as an example of people who have genuine criticism.

Except that's exactly what the OP was complaining about. It's fine if you don't like TLOU2 because you think the story is weak. How is that relevant at all to an effort by BVHR to introduce some non-binary representation into their game? It's fine if you think some shows don't do a good job of representation. How is that relevant at all to saying DbD is making a mistake by trying to introduce more diversity to their roster?

The OP wasn't saying, "here's a suggestion of how to do representation right," he's literally saying "maybe you can do it right but I don't want you to even try because other people did it in a way I don't like." Not to mention, the only example provided of it being done "wrong" or "distasteful" to him is some meme-y slogan that doesn't really have any bearing on anything.

We can go around in circles about who's being the unconstructive snowflake but I haven't seen anybody offer anything except variations on "if you make me think about it you're pushing some vague and undefined agenda and that's bad."

    Quotes please.

Slight misunderstanding here: I'm not talking about the OP in this thread, but the overall complaints about giving LGBT characters the same treatment as non-LGBT characters.

Well I'm referring to people like the ones I quoted, literally trying to act like the OP is just plain old saying "I just hate diversity and it has no place in any media."

It's that kind of attitude that makes people actually take up attitudes like that, because they feel like that's all the other side cares about: their agenda.

I just think people need to stop demonizing each other when they obviously aren't trying to be hateful. Some people just need some discussion to set their mind on the right path and like I said, just calling somebody buzzwords and trying to lump them in with people that are actually crappy is just... Divisive, simply put.

I'm not assuming anything, that's what's being explicitly said over and over. If anything, I'm assuming people are being truthful.

You are either refusing to see the nuance here or you're just incapable of seeing it. The OP specifically said that they think it can be done well, but they're worried that it won't be. I don't know where you're reading "I don't want diversity in my games keep it out I hate it," or anything of that sort. He even says that he doesn't think the two examples (Batwoman/TLOU2) are equally representative either, so where in all that is he saying anything about not wanting any equal representation in his media? I'd love for you to find me that quote.

Until then, sure. Try to demonize people if it helps you sleep at night.
