The entity told us and maybe just common sense.

They kind of run scummy builds and tunnel more often than PC players from what I am noticing with cross play. Why is it so bad with console players? Can someone tell me why a killer on console feels the need to run a build like NOED, Blood Warden, BBQ, and Dying Light all at once? Never saw it this bad with PC players. Worst of all, can't even call these people out for their overcompensation. I may be seething a little bit from all of the tunneling, camping, and relying fully on perks rather than skill with the killer's abilities. Who would not be really?
I'm glad you can't call them out, because there's nothing to call out.
-
Trust me, you dont want it.
-
honestly the hook states for killer was the best.
-
In 9/10 cases when I get hit by ds, it's after me snowballing, because that's what ds really is, not an anti tunneling perk, an anti snowballing perk. And because of another meta perk unbreakable slugging is no option. Either way my efforts will be reset by one of these perks.
-
What's the problem? The killer brought the most op ######### possible and you still escaped. Good for you.
-
well clearly the devs think that it is already op, why else would they buff the obsession?
-
Last time I checked Killer changes also influence Survivors and vice versa.

I see a lot of complaints about the new matchmaking, however i believe we cannot provide accurate feedback until true ranks are shown.
We don't know if the ranking system is working or broken if it remains hidden.
How can we see our own performance based off your new matchmaking, and how the system determines what it classifies as skill, that raises or lowers our rank?
Will ranks remain hidden or are you planing to show the true ranks at the end of the match?
Well that's the point. If you can't see it, you can't complain about it.
-
It simply should deactivate when starting healing action, repairing or jumping in a locker.
-
so far I only got newbs with 1h to 200h game time or 4 man swf with meta perks. pretty good job so far.

No need.
DS is in good position atm and no nerfs/buffs required. If it irritates you so much that you can't chase another survivor or check generators, just immediately pick survivor up, rub your shoulder for 5 seconds and then again down the survivor. Easy.
hahahha
-
Most challenges are stuff that you do anyways. Indeed very boring.
-
No, infect I would welcome longer penalties.
-
And this is where you are wrong. A rank 1 plays much more than a rank 20, therefore a rank 1 is on average still much better than a rank 20.

We are not explaining how the MMR is calculated - it's pretty normal to keep those conditions under wraps to prevent any exploiting of the system.
And no, this is not a strawman, the MMR system is a very real thing that's been in development for quite some time. However, it is going to take some time to accurately start to matchmake whilst everyone's MMR score is fully calculated.
Ok then, if it really was working better than the old system, then why not replace the old system with the new? What's the point of having a rank that doesn't mean anything and your mmr rank completely hidden?
-
No it's not. The EGC is already a joke. But 99 the door completely undermines the EGC and endgame perks in general.
-
They won't tell us, because the new MMR is just a straw man, to make us stop complaining about bad matchmaking.
-
What?
-
this would reward swf who dc on purpose.
-
there was a 24mb patch. would be nice if bhvr would make a patch note.
-
They are especially fun on ormond.

Uhhhh It does still make people unable to see the person you knocked down right? Like.....that was the entire strategical use of the perk....RIGHT!??!?!?! DEVS!!!!!!!!
It does, but the point I try to make is, how will it be picked more if it only works with basic attacks now? The devs say something and do the complete opposite. I don't get it.
-
@clem1710 said:
According to the new description of KO, these features ADD to what the perk always did. KO still hides the survivor aura outside of a 16 meters range. So it's a buff, except for the basic attack thing, which is pretty stupid.
Yes it has a buff that is completely useless and a nerf that will it make picked even less.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
The "additionally" mentioned in the notes means it keeps its original effect PLUS these for 15 seconds.
We know that. but it only triggers with basic attacks now. thats the problem.
-
At least they are honest now.

can I see a clip, and could you use it as report. If that's true that player can get instant banned for sharing it on live
Dude, just last week I had two poeple saying to me what killer we are facing. And these are just the idiots that tell it to randoms. I dont even wanna know, how many survivor actually use this kind of cheat. But anyways, it's 100% not patched as of know.
-
the only thing thats always on time is new dlc and cosmetics.

@LetsPlayTogether said:
Its always more "fun" to have unlimited power. Buts thats nothing "fair" for the other side.
Ah ok how about a cooldown for running and repairing gens? Sounds stupid? exactly.
-
In about 2 years we will be talking about nerfing wraith. Trust me. His power has no cooldown or charges. That has to go. Also being almost invisible is clearly op.
-
funny how they say, they make smal changes, while they changed all of his add ons and his power. lol.
-
oh he will be fun for rank 20 survivors. because after revving his chainsaw 2 times, he will be on cooldown. for anyone else? no.
-
yes you are the only one, survivor simp.
-
I play dbd for 3 years now. Bugs are part dbd. I couldn't imagine a new patch without any new bugs. Dbd without bugs wouldn't feel like dbd.

The only difference is that Oni's power can't be used from the start of the match.
Just look:
- Oni has better mobility and can curve around corners with no penalty
- Oni can snowball with his power and is not punished for that
- Oni can apply bigger pressure on map in mid/late game where uptime of his power is huge
- Oni's demon strike is much easier to use than Billy's saw
- Dodging Oni's Demon rage abilities is way harder than dodging Billy's saw.
THE ONLY thing NEW Billy is better than Oni is that he doesn't depend on injuring survivors, but, once again, that's only the case in the early game, as in mid/late game Oni is capable of gaining enough blood to literally spam his fury.
Billy's rework was a mistake, just as big as Nurse's rework.
Stop posting stuff like that. If the devs see it, they will nerf him too.

Full article on Ruin:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/117488/designer-notes-doctor-gatekeeper-hex-ruin
Short version:
We took a close look at the perk to identify what makes it so frustrating to play against. Three key issues were identified:
- Its punishment of new players or those who can't hit Great Skill Checks. Newer players trying to help veterans with generator repairs tend to make the situation worse rather than better.
- The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of The Killer.
- Its inconsistency due to the random nature of the appearance interval of skill checks.
And again you're just looking at it from the survivors side and ignore the killers side.
-
Ok how about we do the same with gens? Deal?

I saw the patch notes for Hillbilly, and while survivors do have issues, Hillbilly is not one of them. This killer is quite fun to go against: there is a lot of skill involved into dodging and juking him and his strength also requires great skill. I remember playing him for the first time, and I did need to learn his power. Also, almost no one complained about him. What is the point of nerfing the Hillbilly? Make players use unfun killers? Also, survivors have issues that they complain about and hate, like moris, indoor maps (for some people like me) and campers&tunnelers. Yet Behaviour choosed to nerf a killer that no one hates? Devs, if no one complains about something, then there is no balance issue. Listen to the people who both play killer and survivor equally, instead of just because... Oops I cannot even see a weak reason to nerf him. Sorry.
clearly they just looked at the numbers saw that billy is "overperforming" so they nerfed him.
-
Yes, happend to me already 2 times as killer. As killer you're basically still in carry mode, you can swing but not interact with anything, you cant use your power. to end the game, the killer or the survivor on the hook, has to dc to end the game.

@Peanits is a rank 1 huntress main who streams live on Twitch so there's one member for you
so? he's a community manager. he has nothing to do with balancing or reworking a killer.
Also being rank 1 doesn't mean you understand all killer in depth.
-
Yes, I think 200% bp would be really nice.
-
he's better but the thing is, he never was that bad, like people say he is. and when people try him now and think he's much better, then that's not really the case.
-
short answer : no
long answer: there are no more exclusives other than legacy. they gave away all the old exclusives and all the newer ones are in the shop. they also said they won't do exclusives anymore. so if they call these exclusives, it's just a big fat lie.
-
But that's not a design flaw. That's just how it is. You have 2 sites that play against each other. What's fun for one site, is not fun for the other and vice versa. You can't fix that.
-
they believe the bug is an advantage, so don't expect a fix any time soon.
-
I mean killer skins are kind of useless anyways, but yeah.
-
@Peanits said:
It's not a matter of prioritizing newer players over older players, it's actually quite the opposite. Back then, the way event cosmetics were stored were much less secure than recent events, and it made them susceptible to loss of progress (the reason why we needed to return them to people in the first place). We originally decided to return them only to the people who had earned them specifically to not alienate long time players who had worked for them. Despite our best efforts, there were people missing them who should have received them and didn't: The data we had at the time was not robust enough to catch everyone.
So in short, some of the people who did work for and earn them didn't receive their cosmetics back, and there was nothing we can do for them. Those long time players were out of luck. The idea of not alienating long time players ended up alienating those long time players.
It's unfortunate, yes, but leaving those people behind is not an option. This is the fairest way we can handle the situation. This shouldn't be a problem for future events as the way we store rewards now is much more secure.
Sorry but what kind of dumb explanation is that?
This is the same thing you told us last time. Then you said you fixed it. Guess you didn't.
So because some got screwed over, you decided to screw everyone over? Interesting decision.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the same problem that you have with Legacy? That people lost it and you can't restore it? Why don't you give Legacy to everyone then? Because let me quote you hear "leaving those people behind is not an option".
-
don't worry, fix is coming when the event is over.
-
It's a bug, it's not intended. It may change with the next chapter.
