Agreed . that's why I say MAJOR PROBLEM . like what killers do is to depip on purpose after rank rest so survivors catch up which leads to this point that ranking system has some MAJOR ISSUESrha said:@Runiver said:
About the first issue :
If no one gets hit/hooked, devs consider that you outskill the killer enough not to deserve a pip, and will suffice a safety.I read that everywhere, can you give an official source/quote for that or is that "wishful thinking"?
The problem is ... try your luck as experienced survivor on rank 20. Towards the end of the season I had lobby wait times of 5-10 minutes and when I finally had a killer he was often so bad that I didn't even have to juke. I remember a wraith from whom I ran in a straight line and who was still whiffing every single attack because he always did "quick" attacks from lunge range.
Given that moderately skilled killers pip up more easily than before, it seems absurd to ask 1000+ hours survivors sitting at rank 20 to get challenged by those killers who can't launch off R20.
And no I'm not gonna bully an outplayed killer intentionally just to get a pip. Or was that the intend of the devs as well?

Come to a discussion I made on the top " major issues of ranking system " . we're discussing it thereSaltyKiller said:@HIPSTERLION said:
Ranking system right now is not finished yet don't judge it just yet . devs confirmed that they gonna change it up . but honestly I think if they improve the new rank system I think its much more better than old 1 . in the old ranking system people with no skill would get to rank 1 and since as survivors its all about the team the actual pro rank 1 survivors would be pissed off .I don't know, I seem to remember Queen stating that the Emblem system would somehow (someway) fix gen rushing and super altruistic Survivors. Clearly it didn''t do that.

If you out skill the killer you deserve a double pip .In case of slugging since you get no points for hooking survivors you count on chaser emblem so you can't just say it's not needed to pip as it cover some play styles .
And of course for the last parts it takes much longer for survivors to repair gen together . if a the same time they work on 4 different gen they will get it done much faster . so if we reduce the reward amount for repairing together to 50% unfortunately it will result on gen rush every single match .
Debatable, since you didn't actual display much of your skill.
Same with the killer stomping the 4 survivors : he doesn't get a double pip for it, most of the time. Mostly because he couldn't actually "display his skill"Devs made the choice to make slugging to be rather not viable, and make the killer based on the hooks.
And the genrushing isn't an issue. People doing gens efficiently is the way the game is supposed to be played in the first place. The "Gen rush" is a secondary effect that just proves that gens can be done too quickly. It's unrelated to emblems, and it falls under the "General balancing" issues.Runiver said:

If you out skill the killer you deserve a double pip .Runiver said:About the first issue :
If no one gets hit/hooked, devs consider that you outskill the killer enough not to deserve a pip, and will suffice a safety. (In reality, you can still pip by repairing enough and getting bronze evader by staying 30s in the TR, leading to getting Gold Lightbringer/Iri Survival/Bronze Bene and Bronze Evader, which is enough to pip.)The chaser emblem is indeed rather situational, but oftenly not necessary to pip, and mostly used as a "catch up system" for the killer when you don't manage to hook people, but still hit them a lot. It's mostly a way to reward killers that hit a lot but do not manage to grab a survivor (for example... A super bodyblocking team, or a DS team)
Tho I agree, the last level of this badge are really hard to get. They're possible tho. About the fact that "one shot abilities do get less chaser points", it is true, but they compensate with the other emblems.About the generators, I don't think it is unfair. Survivors are cooperative, not a team, and they are actually competing too, against each others. It's a core mecanic in the game where the player has to choose how he wants to play : either altruistic (taking the risk to help your team, but possibly hindering yourself) or selfish (taking the risk not to help your team, but possibly putting your in a harder lategame situation due to the lack of players to make a distraction).
If you allow people to cumulate points on gens, you'd just allow them to get Iri repairs super quickly and allocate more time at bullying/distracting the killer, which would be wrong and would lead to the issues we experienced in the previous iterations of the ranking system : people do "enough" to pip, then [BAD WORD] around with the killer for fun because they know they earned their pip/safety.
And it's not what you want in this game. You want to make SURE that a survivor keeps repairing if he can afford the time to do so.
In case of slugging since you get no points for hooking survivors you count on chaser emblem so you can't just say it's not needed to pip as it cover some play styles .
And of course for the last parts it takes much longer for survivors to repair gen together . if a the same time they work on 4 different gen they will get it done much faster . so if we reduce the reward amount for repairing together to 50% unfortunately it will result on gen rush every single match . -

Survivors are suffering . there's no hope . they're trapped in this loop of doom and they just run for less suffering . if a survivor escapes that doesn't mean he's okay and happy that mean he doesn't taste bill chainsaw that day .

Honestly trying to make a 1v4 game competitive is pointless but ranking system is actually good but since there's no information in the game for it people think its like other games and you should try hard for rewards . the point of ranking system is that if you are a badass killer and your win rate is 95% you get to rank 1 so you meet people in your own skill and you don't ruin the fun for noobs .
-
Most likely you don't necessarily have to catch some1 in trap . if you go look for traps to disarm that mean your not doing gen so more time for trapper . if you attempt to disarm a trap in the chase that means a free hit for him due to normal movement speed . it's mostly like hag that you disarm the loop for a free hit . its a tactical advantage you have . if survivors can't loop you around they are so dead . for disarming the trap I agree with you and I think it should have skill checks but more than that 1 wrong move will result in a broken game again .ThePloopz said:
Trapper is not annoying at all imo. I know where the good trap spots are so I check those spots for traps thus making his power useless. Heck even during some chases you have enough time to disarm a trap. Depending on their placement you can run right by them whiletrapper himself will get stuck in it. I mean even in solo games I hear more traps get disarmed than I hear actually catching someone. Most of the games I play the trapper doesn’t catch anyone in a trap. His power is extremely dependent on the survivors which is pretty badHIPSTERLION said:Its honestly interesting people say buff trapper . like are you crazy , do you wanna break the game , unless you are swf facing trapper is actually already annoying AF . the fact that you can disable infinite and basic attack the freak out of survivors . my opinion is hag since we have so many ideas on how to buff her and I actually made a discussion about it .

Now, at better ranks, his ability seems near useless, the chainsaw doesn’t really help in a chase unless there are no windows or pallets around, like in the center of Shelter Woods or small areas in Gas Heaven. I don’t know if it’s because i’m not great as him, or if others feel the same about his power.
Please comment if you feel the same, and please leave suggestions below about how he could be balanced to fit in with better ranks.
Follow th instructions :
1_pitch perks: iron grasp.agitation.ruin.insidious
2_down a survivor with your hammer and put them into basement
3_hide behind lockers
4_get at least 2 kills
Now if they found out about it no matter usually the come down the stairs and they will tbag you after they did that you simply chase them and down them with hammer as well . meanwhile if some1 tried to rescue while your chasing block the entrance then you will see the power of leather face .
Even in the original movie leather face does the same trick.
He just waits they will come to him with their own feet but they don't live to tell the tale !!!

I believe that bringing a new item in the game for survivors called "shiv" is better !!!
And what DS does is that you start the the trial with a shiv and increases the chances that you can find a shiv in a chest . due to rarity the stun time will be different . it can even make it so that survivors cant bring flashlight or any thing els with shiv as its an item itself . -
Swamp and the game
-
The offering that shows survivor Auras for 5 seconds after the match starts . only for killer of course and ultra rare .
-
Survivors tbaging and flashlight taping after a gg that completely ruins the fun you had and make you a ruthless killer . personally it turned me into a merciless beast who brings Mori in every game though that I used to let the last survivor go the time before .

Its actually 1 of the main discussion s now because if they actually reward being a hardcore player more players are gonna play constantly to get the reward . Dude really nice job . and I would love to see a vampire in DBD ^-^ again well done
-
As I answered ghost rider29 I think there should be 3 checkpoints on daily rituals : easy.normal.hardcore !!! So for example you have to down 4.9.20 survivors with chainsaw as hillbilly and on each checkpoint it gives you a certain amount of bp and if you get to complete daily hardcore challenge which is the "20 survivors downed" you get a massive amount of bp .
-
There is NP on catching 9 survivers in bear trap . and if you don't want you simply delete it . maybe we just need a system where daily ritual has 3 sections . easy . normal . hardcore : and you will get points for catching like 4.9.15 survivers in bear traps for example so it can be good for every 1 .GhostRoaster29 said:The old daily rituals were sometimes a bit tedious. "Catch 9 survivors in bear traps" -- however, they had a great payload in terms of BPs. Also making the dailies more fit to your play style would be nice. I'm all for change with the Daily Rituals!

This idea is good but they gonna give us other exclusive s for buying new dlcs . and I think when it comes to so many skins that are gonna come to DBD in the years ahead of us legacy isn't gonna even count . like have you seen this new hag skin . I understand where you are coming from, but I'd like if it was atleast lower tier in rarity so it would be more common to use for people who want to use it. (If add-ons are supposed to make you stronger then ######### is the scarred hand for or even the speed limiter for Hillbilly?)
Okay, I see your point now. About rarity, I don't know what to tell - her brown addons are stronger than her green ones lol. Scarred Hand is a joke, I would love a revamp of her purple / pink addons so that they're just straight up buff - like for this one: phantasms have now collision, and that's it - no speed reduction, you can still teleport, etc.
But to go back on topic. A several buff ideas I had:
- Dead Fly Mud and brown necklet AT LEAST in her base kit. She should be the queen of map control, especially since she WASTES time building her power.
- She can teleport during her attack cooldown animation. Doesn't shorten the animation, but helps her to catch up faster.
- Increased post-teleport lunge, regardless of your momentum (like the old Nurse)
- (Optional) Makes the trap face the survivor by default if you insta-teleport
- Fix her bugs (lol)
That would make her closer to Nurse in the tier list.
-
But honestly that's the same . and its not possible because of rage behind it . think of yourself as survivor with billy and nurse on your head O_o . don't know about you I would delete instantly .Michael_Myers said:Would love to see a game mode with multiple killers against maybe 6 survivors. Before, crouching would set off traps. The only way you could disarm a phantasm trap was by walking over it, or using a flashlight. She used to be pretty good when that was a thing. I really think they should bring that back, but it was a little bit broken, so maybe crouching has a 50/50 chance of setting off the trap, or maybe if you crouch directly on the trap, it goes off? Huntress is extremely overrated because she can stop some loops. She still gets destroyed by any tall loop, the auto-haven trucks, low movement speed, nonexistent tracking ability. She has a good chase on some maps but, honestly stopping some loops does not make a killer A tier.
Hag on the other hand has the superior map control due to her traps, a much smaller window to hide especially with monitor and abuse, the ability to get a free hit on a fairly large number of loops. The only thing huntress is better at is time management and chases on a select few maps. Hag is the better killer she just takes much more time to learn.
So tell me hag in coldwind farm
Each killer has its own weakpoints . bringing the fact that tall loops counters huntress doesn't have anything to do with hag .
The point is huntress has so many weaknesses compared to hag. Hag sucks on coldwind sure but, she excels on the majority of the other maps. Huntress has something on almost every single map that messes with her. Coldwind has the loops around the hay bales, Auto-haven has the trucks, etc; Huntress simply does not have the ability to succeed in a game with lots of stealth players, she can't win on certain maps unless the survivors royally mess up. Huntress is absolutely horrible at everything except chases but even then some loops can ruin the match for her. She's extremely overrated.
Why would Hag sucks in coldwind ? She's small and rather hard to spot. With M&A, she has no trouble sneaking on survivors. The main juking spot of half coldwind map is the shack, and the shack is a wonderful place for Hag, especially if it has basement. (Aka Rottenfields, one of her best map)
It would be nice to discuss Hag gameplay with people ACTUALLY playing her, rather than doing some theory on "what is supposedly happening at high ranks against her"
