Survivors will run more variety of perks. While still many perks need to be nerfed on survivor side, this is good step to more healthy state of the game where killers will have bigger odds of winning.
No, they are going to run more cookie cutter builds because more perks are becoming trash to benefit the killer every patch and if you want ok perks its starting to become limited on what you can take. They are nerfing anti aura perks to benefit killers when more anti aura perks are needed to combat the near 100% uptime killers get on aura perks when they should be removing all aura perks to make the game healthier. At the rate BHVR is going there will be little to no survivors left after this patch comes out considering how badly BHVR is bending over survivors without using lube. Plus the killers have a stupid win rate as is they dont need to win 100% of the games. Making it more than 60% is killing the game not making it healthier.

I really liked how they took some the perks that weren’t used or some that needed buffs or nerfs and made them more viable
If the devs are listening to this, I hope I do more perk changes like this maybe in a smaller scale like 5-10 perks and maybe now u can focus perks that aren’t affected by diminishing returns and buff them (Low profile, Visionary, Hex overture of doom (krasue perk), or other perks that feel useless or outdated)
Problem is all the buffs they did to the worthless and useless perks wont make them useable or increase the number of people using them. They destroyed all the decent perks survivors had and made the worthless a little less worthless but still a wasted perk slot. At the same time they buffed most of the killer perks which will buff up the m1 killers but make the op killers and s tier killer unbeatable. At this point BHVR may as well start all 4 survivors on the hook with the normal 3% chance to unhook themselves since the seem to want killers to have a 100% win ratio. This is the doomsday patch for DBD where a lot of survivors are just goign to say to hell with it and quit, the last 3 games i have predicted this will happen to actually happened. I see the same here as well. If these changes go live they way they are being shown DBD will no longer be my priority streaming and go to game. The uninstall option feels like the right thing to do in protest to making this game 100% killer win rate.

I kind of agree but I thought Windows was ok. Maybe I'm just entitled idk, regardless I'm excited for the 50+ perk changes.
Most of the changes were unnecessary for survivor and the majority are all trash buffs that wont entice people to use those perks. Only 1 or 2 perks may have gotten something useful. the rest just proves this game is killer sided and promotes more killer toxicity through making it easier to grief survivors through tunneling. Sad how all useful killer perks got massive buffs but survivors did not. Heck they are even punishing survivors for being toxic but not doing anything about the killers they are saying its ok for killers to be toxic but not survivors. If these changes go live i see this population of survivors dissapearing.

2 seems like it would only help swfs attempting to bodyblock, won't really affect solos. Aside from that still completely agree with these changes.
I think they could add the timer speeds up if you run towards the killer to counter that type of abuse after being unhooked. I think they need to add if the killer targets the same survivor after 1 hook they gen speed repair for all survivors increases by 10% until someone else is hooked and if they survivor is hooked again the gen repair increases by 20% and If the same survivor is targeted a 3rd time it becomes a permanent 30% gen repair speed increase.

Wanna talk about how survivors cry?, but anyway vigil was busted and survivors majority of the time only used to decrease exhaustion, bhvr does realise this is a low number and they will buff it later or add an additional effect, the previous version was "a nightmare to balance".
Vigil was fine, other than the percent may have been to high, but now its complete trash with half the duration and exhaustion only. If you choose vigil now your a noob and wasting a perk slot.
-
Its one of the trash perks now that only noobs will ever use. Killers cried survivors died.

Personally, I’d prefer it if you could see the killer’s player name right from the start of the match.
Wouldnt fix the BHVR promoting cheating by stream sniping issue. And would create the cheating not just to streaming survivors but to streaming killers as well. So you just increase the problem. BHVR please add an option for streamers so that only survivors can see the name in the beginning and killers at the end and make it a bannable offense if you get caught with video evidence.

@T1MEXII said:
Hide and Sneak is a unique never seen before 1v8 gamemode. You have a powerless killer that will move at 4.6m/s. The map is specially modified to have hiding spots and be much bigger.
At the start of the trial the killers screen goes black and can not move for 30 seconds. During this time the survivors will need to hide. There is a 10 minute timer to begin with and once the timer expires then the survivors win. Once a survivor is found you need to injure then will your M1, hitting a survivor will cause them to get a 3 second sprint burst and you can not move for 3 seconds. Survivors do not leave blood, scratch marks, or make any noise. Every 1 minute there will be a pop-up, the killer will be frozen in place for 5 seconds and survivor auras are revealed. You need to move to a new location.
Oh and to mention, hitting survivor will add 15 seconds to the timer. Another thing to mention is that the killer will have a crouch ability, so probably be played as ghost face. This is because some hiding spots can only be found by crouching.
Though I know this will not be easy to add, adding a climbing mechanic would be pretty cool too. I know the idea is flawed but something like this I think would be fun.
Sounds like it could be fun.
-
I get the whole killer seeing the survivor pre lobby, that makes sense, but the killer seeing the survivors game tag is ridiculous and doesnt make sense unless you support cheating.
-
Whether your in the stream to snipe or listen its still stream sniping because your listening in especially if you dont announce yourself as being there. With this new streamer mode they should create, the killer could also request to see their name for whatever reason and the survivor says yes or no. However killers should not feel entitled to be allowed to cheat and bhvr shouldn't cater to these baddies and stop the promoting of cheating, stream sniping and harassment of streamers. So add a streamer mode along with anon mode. ANon = anon and streamer lets your survivors only see the name and killer at the end.
-
@ShanoaLegendaryPlz said:
Could also use the anonymous mode then mention your stream name in end game chat. Unless its on console
Not trying to come off or sound rude so please dont take it that way, but what part of streamers want to advertise themselves do you not understand? Anon mode makes you anon you cant promote yourself because no one knows who you are, but should be a valid option for anyone, you cant sell yourself on anon. We are asking for a streamer mode where bhvr isnt promoting stream snipes and cheating for bad killers. The killer should not be able to see the players names pre lobby only after. In the name of fairness for all tell me how is it fair to allow killers to cheat and stream snipe because you allow them to see the players name but when it comes to the survivors being able to do the same its not ok. This only proves even further this game is killer sided and bhve says to heck with the survivor. Only character names should be shown along withe the choice of skin. If they can do it for the p levels they go make a streamer mode. Just because your so bad at the game you want free kills by cheating doesn't mean someone should be forced to use anon mode.

Griefing is deliberately annoying or sabotaging the other player, tunneling is a strategy where the person tunneling is only trying to win with no consideration of the other person, it wasn't a deliberate action to ruin survivor experience and I have explained how tunneling can be more enjoyable for the survivor.
If tunneling is grifieng then gen rushing or getting flashlight/pallet saves is also griefing.
Griefing is the exact definition of tunneling by your own words. Deliberately annoying or sabotaging another player. By tunneling you are annoying that survivor your tunneling and your sabotaging their game because you as the killer know your doing it. Tunneling is a lack of strategy where the person is trying to win because they suck at landing a kill otherwise so they abuse and exploit a mechanic that was meant to be used situationally in the game. And yes it is a deliberate action to ruin the survivor experience because you as the killer knows how the community feels about it and there is no situation where tunneling is an enjoyable experience because your destroying one persons game guaranteeing them a loss and minimal bloodpoints. No one enjoys being tunneled thats an excuse you only hear from bad killers trying to defend their griefing tactic to score a kill and an attempt to keep yourself from losing that griefing tactic. Now if tunneling didnt happen in 99.9% of the matches then you might have a point There is no such thing as gen rushing thats an excuse you baddie killers create to justify the griefing by tunneling especially since doing generators is actually a full mechanic of the game for the survivor to win and flash light saves is also part of the game meant to be there and are not situational mechanics from the start. Tunneling is not meant to be a thing there are no perks to support it or tomes to complete it. as BHVR said in the video discussing the anti tunnel patch its a situational mechanic meant to be used situationally but was being used by bad players to get kills they didnt earn, you can go find that first dev video discussing it on youtube when they first brought up the update. However if theres a bully squad constantly harassing you with flashlight spam and 2 people are always there to spam you non stop then yes I would call flashlights griefing. Unlike tunneling griefing with flashlights happens less than 5% of the time where tunneling happens 99% of the time. Theres a huge difference in tunneling being abused and flashlights being abused.
-
Actually they are punished if the pop the gen int he k1llers face because you can essentially get a free hit, stop making excuses and gaslighting people to cover for your griefing of players by tunneling because your bad at the game.

No, the people who want it nerfed are competitive players with over 10,000 hours of gameplay who understand what needs to be changed in the game and what doesn’t. Instead of nerfing the killers’ strategies, Behavior should teach bad and “lazy” players how to play the game instead of just whining about anti-camping and removing the grab from the hook.
The competitive players aren't crying about it at all , its just you bad players who resort to tunneling and slugging to get a kill because you have no skill to get one otherwise. The good players know when its used the hook state stays, just on another person and can only be used once. They are also smart enough to go after the person that just used shoulder of burden because they are also 1 shot and 1 hook state away. Stop making excuses for your bad play. Learn2play the game properly or quit dbd we dont need griefers in the game.
-
@Mysore said:
“Shoulder the Burden” at high MMR is becoming a serious problem. This perk is making organized SWFs practically invincible. Killer players are being punished for playing well, since this perk nullifies all of the killer’s good plays and all of the survivors’ mistakes. Did I play well and take down the survivor quickly? Shoulder. Did the survivor play poorly and die quickly? Shoulder. The only way to TRY to prevent getting Shoulder is by pressuring the hook up close, but anti-camping doesn’t allow it. Behavior has no way to win a match at high MMR without taking out a player quickly, and this perk in the hands of good SWFs—with 3–4 Shoulders—completely nullifies the killer’s chance of winning the match. Quite simply, the game is relying on SWFs winning matches not through skill, but through the repetition of Shoulder, DS, and DH. Either remove anti-camping so we can deal with Shoulder up close, or change this perk, or just allow it to be used only once on the same player—because it’s not fair to be matched against a killer knowing I’m going to lose to a team repeatedly using Shoulder The Burden. Behavior needs to stop balancing the game based on beginner or poor players, as this is bad for the health of the game for those who are already experienced. When something is balanced with beginners in mind, experienced players will take greater advantage of it. Poor players need to be encouraged to improve, and the game needs to be balanced with experienced players in mind; that way, things would be fair for both sides.
Only people who want this nerfed are the entitled losers who love to slug and tunnel and cant handle something that counters that because the suck at the game. This is a learn2play issue because your bad at the game and want to cry to get something removed because your lazy.

HOW exactly did I prove your point, your point is that tunneling is griefing, I have explained how it's not griefing and slugging can be done to grief but it's just an effective strategy most of the time and survivors get abandoning feature against slugging.
You gave the definition of griefing which is exactly what tunneling is.
-
@SpyUA said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4107519#Comment_4107519
By definition of griefing it's not, griefing is trying to make other players experience miserable basically, tunneling and camping is done to win or to secure a kill (slugging is done to grief sometimes), if you hate those strategies so much use the various effective perks bhvr has given to survivors to counter those strategies (using shoulder the burden in swf with ds literally makes tunneling impossible).
Also I would argue tunneling is the opposite of griefing as you give the opportunity for the tunneled survivors to chase the whole game which is definitely more fun than doing a gen whole game and makes that survivor better at looping, if a survivor dies at 5 gens then it's definitely a skill issue cuz its not that hard to survive for >90 seconds, it's 70 seconds for a hook stage so ideally the survivor gets unhooked after 40 seconds for both hook stages.
And tunneling at 5 gens is not exactly 5 gens as different gens still have progress which could be like 2.5 gens in total.
Exactly and thats what tunneling and slugging is doing you just proved my point.

because slugging and tunneling literally isnt griefing. you would have to have more going on than that for it to be reportable.
By definition of griefing it is. Its not a banable offense but what other options are there to report it to try and get it fixed. 2 years ago it was fin, but now there are so many bad killers exploiting it you see it 99% of the time.

Please do not waste the time of our Player Support Team for reporting on that are not against our game rules. And a nasty end game chat - really??? Now that's one that should definitely be reported.
Just saying killer toxicity through griefing by tunneling slugging and camping are the main reasons for the survivor toxicity. Of course not 100% but still it creates the most. If you dont report the toxicity from the killers to bhvr how else are they supposed to know its an issue. Especially when 95% of the game someone is being griefed by killers with these tactics. How else can we report killer toxicity on this end to get another possible solution to the killer griefing by these tactics. Now it normally wouldnt be an issue if killers used it situationally as bhvr has said it was meant to be during the anti tunnelign patch attempt , however its being exploited every single match over and over 5 gens 99% of the time. It has become a huge issue and its being done to grief. BHVR has no problems messing things up for survivors when its an issue for the killer, how about some survivor respect as well, If you dont want us tbagging at the end stop the damn tunneling.
-
@alex316 said:
You guys need to do something about toxic survivors, it's really annoying when they tbag you just for no reason, they ruin the gaming experience.
The new killer that's coming out, who already has it built in, is good, although I think it should activate after two tbags, not three.
For the other killers, there should be an anti-toxicity system, such as activating a hindered effect, or vulnerability or exposed, or both hindered and vulnerability or exposed.
If you want survivor toxicity to stop we first need to stop killer toxicity. The whole toxicity started when killers decided to non stop tunnel or slug every god damn match. So if you a worthless tunneler or slugger you created the problem we are suffering from and only have yourselves to blame. If you tunnel me or anyone in my group your getting reported for griefing and tbagged every whiff, every pallet you take, and every screw up you make, and at the gates or hatch and expect a nasty gram end chat as well. THE GRIEFING STOPS WITH YOU BADDIE KILLERS who are bad at the game. Soon as you stop griefing or BHVR actually does something about you abusing and exploiting situational mechanics I guarantee there will be less toxicity on the survivor end of things.

Correct, as the post clarifies. There are multiple things the killer deserves. Some of which i have discussed in older posts.
One of which is a built in killer instinct on the survivor spawn locations. Currently, killers can, due to random luck, start of an entire match at a half-a-gen to a full gen disadvantage purely because of the luck of spawnpoints that create a massive disparity in the balance of matches without even involving any type of interactive gameplay between killers and survivors.
And that is just to name an exampleThe k1ller doesnt deserve or need anything else they have way to much as it is. They should remove the gen auras from the killer as well to be fair. If survivors have to fins it so should the killer. However killers are not checking and kicking gens all they do is tunnel and ignore everything else. Then cry rushing is the issue.

Okay now that's just going too far. A change like that absolutely must come with something in return, if you wanna nerf how killers can play so severely, there must be an alternative in exchange, and just as good as the nerfed one.
Its nerfing unfair game play as it is, he even mentioned positives and incentive for the killer which they dont deserve just for playing the game fair and not griefing survivors. There needs to be more negatives for the killers to stop that griefing, just because your mad at the world doesnt mean you should take it out on others and get them to feel like crap like you do. Thats all tunneling and slugging is about, making others feel as crappy as you do so you choose to grief other players.
-
@Cool8324 said:
In my opinion, a way to incentivise NOT tunneling is to reward killers for fresh hooks. The rewards can’t be too little otherwise its useless and just not worth it and yes perks will have to be changed if this gets considered/added. This gives killers choice whether to go for the same unhooked survivor or go for a new one and get rewarded.
NOTE: Things can be added, subtracted, changed, etc. You are free to agree or disagree with whatever it is. THIS IS NOT OFFICIAL
For Fresh hooks (hooking a survivor for the first time):
- Gain 5/10/15% haste (depending on the killer) for x seconds and gets deactivated if they start a chase, injure/down a survivor, or use their M2
- The next time a killer kicks a gen, that gen instantly loses 10/15/20% (depending on the killer) of its current progression
- OPTIONAL: Aura read on any non death hook survivor for x seconds
- 5-10k BP (idk about the actual value)
The bonuses for fresh hooks ends if a survivor dies
Obviously S tiers will receive less of these rewards (5% haste and 10% gen kick) while trapper/ghostface etc will receive more of these benefits.
Lets face it the tunneling and slugging is out of control at this point and something needs to done at this point. To many bad killers are getting wins they didn't earn or deserve because of this I have 0 tactics so im going to abuse and exploit a situational mechanic. This idea of yours would be a good step in the right direction and would be a cool idea for sure. However i think they need to add a one thing to deter tunneling with this. If the killer still decides to tunnel it would work like this, for every survivor not hooked the first survivor gains 1 extra hook state.Basically if you decide to tunnel 1 person the first person would gain 3 hook states extra that can be removed by freshly hooking another survivor which will essentially force them to target someone new. I also think the unhook notifications need to be removed and possibly scratch marks and blood trails disabled for like 5-10 seconds. The extra endurance was a bit to much.The showing the aura for 5 seconds of the furthest survivor with the least amount of hook states could be another good incentive. Your gen idea i like but it should be for the first kick only and the more op movement speed your killer is the less of a bonus. Ghoul, Henry, blight, billy would only gain the 10% as the are the speed hack killers, where trapper, skull merchant bubba etc would gain the bigger gen bonus as they are slower killers. Keep the bonus bp and the haste for x amount of time for the killer.

I know this is bait, but man, complaining about Lethal Pursuer being overpowered when crap like Shoulder the Burden, Deli, and Sprint Burst exists is wild.
Those perks dont kill you and have negative side effect, And you complaining about shoulder the burden says your a horrible tunneler. AS you dont lose a hook state it transfers and the only people complaining about it are the griefers tunneling.
-
Balance is giving everyone a fair chance to play the game. It takes 2 hits to down someone. Changing it to 1 is unfair to survivors and handholding for the killer giving them kills they didnt earn or deserve. Killers should not be able to see gen auras as well. If survivors can find them easy enough killers should have to do the same. Balance is making things equal not unfair for one side.

Slowdown means anti-gen perks, like regression and gen blockers. You're slowing down gens, not players. You're thinking of chase perks.
I wasnt thinking of chase perks, i thought you mean slowing down the survivors movement speed in general.

Would you prefer 4 slowdowns?
They dont need slowdowns either, killers move fast enough, plus get the free in game speed hacks if they are chasing long enough. Im also not talking about removing all aura (wall hack) perks abilities from killers only, but everyone. No one should see auras of gens, survivors or the killer. Only the hooked survivors, fast vault and pallet noised and exploding gens should be seen. Nothing else

Agreed something needs to be done, killers are griefing more and more each day with tunneling and slugging. Not so much camping . There needs to be either negative effects in the game for tunneling screw listening to the crybaby killers. Or tunneling and slugging for long periods of time need to become a bannable offense, If you want to add tea bagging and killers simulating sa to that please do. Tunneling and slugging have stopped friends from playing because of it.
