  • Sadly most of the actions are almost entirely upon the social media (unless they give up their game account by accident i suppose), and they don't give a real #########. Especially not Twitter, they even reinstated an account recently that posted sexual content of children so you can imagine the chance of them taking any action.

  • Fun fact #1: Dracula already appears in the game in the tome 7 cutscene.

Fun fact #2: Romania has a fake government, any real Romanian gets his orders telepathically from Vlad to this day.

I use the yellow bottles 99% of the time as well, with add ons that increase the zoomies duration.

Speed duration + Stealth perks or Monitor&Abuse is a massive guilty pleasure for me.

With M&A and a well prepared yellow bottle they barely get any time to react which almost always leads to a early hit for me.

Addons should be stronger, not basekit.

There is a different between 2 better addons and 3 addon slots. Though some addons are too weak that 2 weak addons should be merged into one.

Its more about making powers functional, Twins is a good example, there are many loops and even just objects in this game that Victor can't hit without the toy-sword addon. Killers being forced to take an add-on so the power can actually function on a basic level is a different problem from having weak addons. Imagine if Pyramid head would be forced to take an add-on to make him able to hit through walls for example.

Add-ons should enable build variety and being forced to take certain add-ons defeat that purpose.

  • Clown has a good variety of builds, thing is that he takes a lot more skill than people think and give him credit for.

There is a 130 Page guide on him but know this, use your yellow bottles more. A LOT more, they are far better and useful than people think. Hell i often run builds based around them and not the purple ones.

  • His kill rate can be argued about because he is a Killer that takes a while to learn, being new and currently he has a tome so a lot of players play him for the challenges only.

What can not be even debated is his pick-rate, its currently boosted by probably a lot because of his tome and its still pathetic which should probably tell the Devs something. I never read any thread of feedback about him that was mostly positive.

  • Killer based hooks imply the existence of killer cringe hooks.

  • Its okayish, it will force them to leave a tile which might get you an opportunity to get an hatchet in while they're running to the next i suppose. But in reality Huntress along with a few other Killers don't run tiles and loops the same way most do and i think if you get good on her it will eventually become less valuable.

  • De-pipping should not be a thing in the first place, grades reward mostly for playtime anyway so i see no reason for it to exist, i already mentioned that it causes players to sweat a lot more and here is proof.

I often run goofy builds such as stacking all speed perks on Clown, but when im a pip away from the next red grade? Next survivor team better be prepared with the sweatiest Artist DMS build imaginable, don't blame me and blame BHVR.

I would put the limited charges that a Gen can be regressed, something like 45sec per Gen. Then push up the regression rate to 1 charge per sec. That would make Gen kicking alot of worth but at the same time it would not be OP.

Currently, a kick on Gen can go between an instant tap from survivor, or regress a 80 charges Gen down to 0.

That is a good idea. That would mean that gens are actually regressing without Killers profiting to much from bringing a survivor to a hook near a gen with good progress and camping it.

The only thing i know is that it shouldn't be possible that you kick a gen that has like 90% progress, and in the most optimal and lucky case they complete an entire generator solo and still return before it reaches 50%.

  • I think giving him access to dream pallets along with snares would help a lot, he is currently sadly very predictable and boring.

Also make him able to summon things like fake breakable walls, fake totems (including hex) and perhaps even fake vaults.

Also remove or rework the waking up part entirely, it should be a temporary relieve and not the default. Make everyone start in the dream world and remove the ability to wake up by any other means other than clocks which should get a CD after getting to sleep so survivors would need to do so strategically, say for an unhook.

Not sure if that would make him viable but it would surely make him atleast a lot more fun to play and go against, and we can always buff him later.

  • The first rule of this game is to not care what anybody thinks, being players complaining about your playstyle or Killers/Survivors complaining about you not running the meta and playing optimally. Just do what you think have to do to achieve whatever you want.

But asides from that, 3 Genning can go to hell, not only does it make the game miserable and boring it also bottlenecks perks and Killers. BHVR is afraid of buffing regression/gen block perks and some Killers or changing core mechanics that would help and that is sadly justified. If i learned something from the DBD community its that if something can be abused it will be abused no matter what.

That being said i think base regression speed needs to be looked at cause its so slow its barely worth kicking a gen (0.25c per second, meaning it takes 4 seconds to regress 1 second of progress). And i think that buffing gen-regression would be healthier than most alternatives since you won't get much value out of it with camping/tunneling, but for that to happen the 3 Gen strat needs to be taken to the woods and shot.

“Im just gonna go in for some good chases, and what happens, happens”??? What?

what does that even mean? What are good chases for you? The survivor loops the killer endlessly? The killer end the chase in 2 seconds? Im not getting what’s a good chase to you.

I literally got ######### multiple times because i played a hit and run playstyle with Dredge. So i think your first guess is correct.

Ah yes because keeping Nurse OP is a better solution to just reworking the shrine and lowering the costs for Killers, got it.

  • I really doubt they manage to do that, however if its another 3 gen Killer or Killer that is just as exhausting and miserable to play as Singularity then i will not even buy it in the first place.

    Shoot biopod>control it>tag survivor>EMP>shoot another biopod>control it>tag survivor again>teleport to survivor>survivor pre-drops a god pallet that you can now break faster

    #EFFICIENCY

You forgot the step of tagging a survivor again because a teammate cleaned him with an EMP without any danger since you don't even get to see a Killer instinct or anything.

Not to mention if there are multiple loops or jungle gyms close to each other you might not even get a hit or destroy more than 1 pallet faster.

  • Singularity mains explaining why having to apply Slipstream 3 times on a survivor using the clunky and buggy as hell Biopods so you can destroy pallets and vault faster for less than 5 seconds is worth the stress (just equip chase perks on better Killers lol).

    clown-makeup.gif

  • Instead of returning it to old, i always had the idea of an Hex Perk that denies gen speed increase from multiple survivors, meaning 2 survivors still repair a gen in 90 seconds default as long as the totem is standing.

  • That is an offense that is bannable by itself, and while im sympathetic to why you want it to be removed cause of griefers i have to disagree.

There used to be a cheat a while ago im not sure is still around that makes it impossible to spectate players either by blacking it out or somehow crashing the game, this was often used by subtle cheaters to prevent video evidence. This should tell you why it needs to exist, i spectated teammates multiple times after getting suspicious of them. Especially if i had the suspicion that they used perk that didn't show in the end screen.

If DBD had a replay system then i would fully agree that spectator mode can be removed, but as of now i think it'd hurt more than it helps.

  • Garden of Joy is the most ironic name in the game, its about as enjoyable as skinning your balls with a potato peeler.

I had a screenshot on PS5 that i don't have access to anymore that showed 4 or 5 pallets within like 20 meters.

This perk provides too much value for just kicking a gen. There was a time when BBQ was meta, and this perk makes BBQ look nearly obsolete.

It feels cheap when killer just beelines towards you after a gen kick and you can't even mindgame because of wallhacks for 7 seconds.

It should work like BBQ where you can't see the auras of survivors within meters of the generator.

So your solution to Nowhere to Hide giving to much value is to buff it? I'm in.

I personally spent my first 1k killer hours by intentionally taking my mmr by getting 8 hooks before kills. Please don't permaban me! The survivors I was facing seemed to enjoy it, and the matches were exciting and two-sided. The fact that I could have been much more efficient didn't matter until I was sticking to the Survivor Rulebook. I don't see how any good would come from taking away that option from those who want to play casually.

Those who AFK would de-rank in any conceivable system, so it's totally irrelevant.

I really doubt your reading comprehension at this point cause in both my posts i was pretty clear that it had nothing to do with any imaginary rules, rather than arguing what makes a Killer skilled and therefore should be taken into account when adjusting the MMR. The point with the AFK i was making is that when people want to camp in lower rank lobbies, or just smurf in general, that is something thats going to happen, unless BHVR does something.

New Killers have a tendency to tunnel and camp simply they don't know any better (this is no accusation towards anyone, nor do i prohibit these playstyles so you can breathe easy) and most will adjust simply because the game is a little more exciting and the higher BP reduces the grind in the game, they aren't going to face a significantly higher amount of Killers that do already, that is until they sadly reach the highest MMR where it will go full circle.

  • A fellow Re-Animator enjoyer, very based.

  • Welcome to 2023 Gaming where everything now adopted the ######### of mobile games from a decade ago.

There is no reason why a battle-pass shouldn't be permanent and be bought, chosen and unlocked at the time the player choses. But publishers love FOMO and gatekeeping and many brain-washed players sadly think that owning limited skins will increase their cock size somehow and will pretend any suggestion to remove it is a personal attack.

So you'd want the rookies to face the basement Bubba, and fair sportsmanlike killers who do 8 hooks before kills to get the sweatiest SWFs, instead of the other way around.

    Yeah, no thanks.

True to a degree, but im talking from the perspective of Killer performance, not the effect on new people/sweatlords cause lets be honest intentionally abusing the system especially with deranking was always a thing anyway and until BHVR starts perma-banning for it its barely a point to consider. Many people intentionally lose or go AFK because of that. The only redeeming quality of the current system is that people that don't touch grass are sooner or later matched against each other but only if none of them exploit the system which is basicly allowed sadly.

  • That being said, i fully agree with MMR tracking more than just kills/escapes, a Killer that got 8 hooks without killing anybody but had quick chases and delayed the gens by pressure is better than a Killer who camped his first hook in the basement and got 2 kills with 2 hooks total with gens that were done in like 5 minutes. It doesn't make any sense and even tournaments seem to have adjusted to count hooks more than kills as far as i know.

What other things are considered? As for as I know only escaping through an exit gate or killing counts towards a win (aka MMR increase). Am I missing something?

Grades are a Ranking Game Mechanic introduced to Dead by Daylight in Patch 5.2.0, replacing the now obsolete Ranks. Grades, unlike the old Ranks that they replaced, are not used for the Matchmaking-process and merely represent a Rank-Reward System for each Ranking Season in Dead by Daylight. Both Killers and Survivors have a separate Grade that is shared amongst all Killers and Survivors respectively. It is important to note that Grades are merely a feature to show one's progression within a giv

The rank you see, the emblems and pips all are no longer considered in MMR matchmaking at all. The MMR only takes kills/escapes in consideration as far as i know, with the hatch actually not giving you an MMR increase to deter people letting their teammates die.

The MMR system is completely invisible to players.

I think BHVR should definitely explain the system better, especially the fact that the Hatch doesn't benefit you in terms of MMR cause people don't seem to know that.

  • Yes i'd look forward to a Bill meta.

Also give Coach from Left 4 Dead 2 his own DLC, he is by far my favorite survivor from the franchise, just make sure one of his perk is called Cheeseburger Apocalypse.

  • First, pips and grades have no meaning in matchmaking anymore, but that used to be the case.

It used to be MUCH worse, when DBD was first released, ranking was decided by bloodpoints, then survivors on Twitter cried all day with no breaks that its unfair that Killers can rank up without killing anyone, completely ignoring the hypocrisy that survivors could rank up without escaping. Then BHVR caved in to the people who use Tik-Tok but with letters and switched to a system that relied only on kills, so the game became a massive insufferable sweatfest.

Be glad that so many different things are now considered like you said other than just kills and escapes. The alternative is so much worse.

The moral of the story is to never listen to anyone who unironically uses Twitter for anything other than trolling.

  • I once used it to get a sandbagger hit, i was in a chase and an Ada (its always an Ada main) thought it'd be funny to block a door on RPD, so i managed to plot twist in time to have the Killer hit her instead, he downed her quickly and she disconnected after that. I was lucky he didn't bother to pick me up.

Its S Tier in my heart even if they nerf it into the ground.

S'all good dude! I was just found the idea that all the motion sick people in the world also happen to be PvP horror game fans a funny thought xD

I genuinely didn't mean anything by it 😁🤘

Accessibility issues are definitely real, for example while i personally don't suffer from motion sickness or anything like that i was born with bad eyesight and got night-blindness on one eye and therefore rely more on sounds, so any bug or feature that unnecessarily messes with it is quite uncomfortable for me. Best example is playing Singularity, the fact that sounds are disabled in biopods and turned into a ######### add-on is very uncomfortable for me to deal with and messes me up.

  • Bill should be able to offer cigarettes to other survivors and Killers as a perk.

I can agree with that. Games should never push you down the ladder when you're not in the..say..top 1000 or something. Very demoralizing..

Yes but also pipping and the grades you see have literally nothing to do with MMR, yet its a system that will punish you if you go for a funny meme build instead of sweating with a meta as if you are part of a hive-mind. I usually reach iridescent 1 quickly so i usually don't care that much personally but i don't see a reason why i should be punished going for funny stealth Doctor with no intention of winning for example.

  • Since the grade system mostly rewards playtime anyway i don't see why de-pipping should be a thing. It only pushes people into playing into playing sweaty for no reason.

  • Deathslinger and Legion by far.

Dredge, Knight, Hag and Wesker are also really good.

A simple fix would be giving the last survivor alive the option to bleed out instantly after getting slugged for atleast 10 seconds so the killer still has time to hook them. But we’re talking about bhvr here so…

    Far more simple:

Enable basekit UB only if more when atleast 2 survivors have been on the ground for atleast 20 seconds without getting hooked and make the yellow mori basekit.

That enables Killers to still slug without getting needlessly punished in situations where its valid or even necessary and you'd get rid of a bad offering from the bloodweb.

Is it just me or is it sometimes impossible to reveal ghostface even when hes standing right in front of me (maybe 4m), even when he has nothing to hide you just cant reveal him... you could literly kiss him. (or its another bug wich dbd just loves to keep)

There is a bug that allows survivors to kiss Ghostface?

Tell me how to do it.

I’ve seen all the effort the community has put into trying to get the license for ST back and was wondering if bhvr has been in contact with nerflix about bringing back the chapter?

It won't work, even a short glance of their history and stock prices over the last years and you'll realize they are allergic to good business decisions. Returning the ST chapter to DBD would benefit everyone and that seems to be the reason they won't do it.

Netflix makes me think that Walter White is real and gives everyone even closely associated with Netflix a ton of free meth.

  • Killers get 100% bonus BP and instant lobbies because there is a surplus of survivors and lack of Killers.

BP Bonus is to incentivize the community to self-regulate so the queues are as short as possible, not as a compensation for long lobby wait times as you apparently think.

  • @WW1PilotAce said:

so in the last q&a one dev said that base ub was scrapped, but the original problem is still there.

Thats like saying Devs don't want Killers to actually kill survivors cause old moris were nerfed.

You are not making sense, just because base UB was scrapped doesn't mean its not a problem they aren't trying to fix. It only means that the solution introduced more problems than it solved.

  • It would affect almost nothing anyway so it would be a why not, it would not be a real buff but if it makes people switch to that perk then its still good for the game overall because lets face it perk variety and meta worship has been one of the biggest problems since 2017.

People underestimate how silent the perk makes someone and how even a few meters make a survivor using this perk nearly unhearable. Throw in the fact that generators, killer powers, other survivors, notifications etc all mask the sound of an iron-will user very well and i'd argue that it would not affect the Killer outside of very niche situations.

  • Well im an Artist main simply because i like the design of her character and kit, maybe im biased cause i do work with art professionally to a degree. I really like her design but she really needs a tome in the future because her story does kind of suck though.

The only criticism i can think of as an Artist main is that her add-on selection is kind of bad, she has some really good ones especially yellow/brown ones (vibrant obituary and automatic drawing being quite underrated) but most higher tier add-ons belong in the garbage because they are either Pyramid Head tier of bad or for people who use shredded crayons as cheese.

Also ######### is that new portrait ingame? It does not fit her character at all, not even if she was a fighting-game character.

  • Boil Over doesn't even have much to do with it, because sometimes the only way to get a hook is to destroy the breakable walls that enable some nasty loops. Its a lose-lose situation for the Killers. Springwood is already infamous for bad map design and that is just another symptom of it. Having multiple hooks in the boiler room would be a good help though. Just like there is atleast one hook that always spawn in the lower level of the Temple map when the basement is in shack.

I had multiple games where survivors tried to abuse it and well, they did not like getting slugged for 4 minutes.

  • Pinhead can also block the exit for someone from escaping by chaining them, this one got me so many kills and so much salt from people teabagging at the exit gate. He also got some cool voice-lines for that situation.
