Alive by Nightfall was, maybe still is, a Reverse-DBD AU Blog on Tumblr back when I still used it, hence why I said the name lol. The creator was really passionate about it and it was honestly really solid (there's a couple I still remember:
Feng was a ghost gamer girl who'd tear people's eyes out, Nea was very very cold, Quentin made people hallucinate due to Exhaustion, David was part-bear and very hot, Laurie was this thing with 6 arms, lots of knives, and a bloodthirsty, Sally was an actual Nurse, Hernan was an actual psychologist, Phillip was incredibly pure, Michael was mute since the day Laurie killed his family and was really precious but then when Laurie killed his adoptive family was the first time he spoke in like 17 years and it was heartbreaking, and ofc there's more but my memory is bad.

Starstruck:
Showmanship is more than just a public stunt to you. You are the center of attention, both glory and fury.
When you rescue another Survivor from the Killer's grasp, Starstruck activates for 12 seconds.
For the next 12 seconds, the rescued survivor receives a 7% Haste Status Effect. Their Scratch marks, Pools of Blood and Grunts of Pain are hidden during this time.
You become The Killer's Obsession. The Killer is able to see your aura for 6 seconds.
"A lot of people will try to drag you down in your successes during your life time. I say rub it in their faces even more!" - Ji-Woon Hak
Crowd Control (possible rename: Revolution/Mob Mentality) :
You know what to do when the bouncer doesn't let you have your way.
When you heal a Survivor from the dying state, Crowd Control activates.
Taking a protection hit for the healed Survivor incurs the Broken Status Effect on the healed Survivor for 30/25/20 seconds.
Survivors within 32m of the protection hit sees you and the healed survivors aura for 30/25/20 seconds.
After the Broken Status Effect is removed from the injured Survivor, they are instantly healed.
"I love my fans! Except the sasaengs..." - Ji-Woon Hak
No Way Out:
You accept defeat, but not before helping others avoid your destined fate.
When in The Killer's Grasp, all other Survivors receive 6/8/10% bonus repair speed and 30/40/50% speed increase in healing
"I learned something in the industry. Being No. 1 isn't the most important, you'll find the other reason soon enough, make sure the others find theirs too." - Ji-Woon Hak
Smash Hit:
Your raw brutality is enough to traumatise your victim and their peers from recovering.
When hitting a survivor with a basic attack or a special attack whilst they are vaulting or dropping pallets, incur a 60 second Broken Status Effect upon them.
Downing a Survivor with a basic or special attack whilst they are vaulting or dropping pallets, incur a 20% decrease in repair speed for 15 seconds. The ability then goes on cooldown
This ability has a cooldown of 20/30/40 seconds.
"This isn't the attention I wanted... What did you do to my reputation?!" - Yun-Jin Lee
Fast Track:
Your unwavering persistence to achieving your goal is incomparable.
You become obsessed with one Survivor
Whilst in a Chase with your Obsession, Whenever the Obsession you are Chasing is out of your Line of Sight, receive a 5%/6%/7% Haste Status Effect. The effect persists for 1.5 seconds when you gain Line of Sight again.
When winning a Chase with a Survivor, gain a 5%/6/%7% Haste Status Effect for 30 seconds.
"No one likes to be the lingering shadows on the number charts." - Yun-Jin Lee
Self-Preservation:
You would do everything in your power to allow the odds to be in your favour, with of course a little help.
Activatable Perk:
• Break an upright pallet with the power of the Entity, using the Active Ability button
Incurs a 120/110/100 second cooldown on the perk.
"Don't worry about that defamation lawsuit, I got a solution..." - Yun-Jin Lee
I had way too much fun with this LOL
I'm now really, really curious about your Roleswap Lore behind Yun-Jin and and Ji-woon.
Alive By Nightfall is calling, my friend.

Try and get a recording of it, make sure that you highlight the exact problem.
Open their steam profile in the overlay and keep it there.
Make an in-game report under the right category and type in that she was hacking.
Then, go to this website and fill in the details (select "Additional Player Report Information"):
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Here's where you'll want their Steam profile.
Upload your recording to a website like YouTube- feel free to make the video Unlisted but ensure it isn't Private.
Wait for a response from Support. They won't let you know which action was taken, but they will let you know that they're looking into your report.
Also, I'd advise you to remove the picture- there's a no naming and shaming policy on the forums and I think this counts.
-
Except that a Commodious is an item, and Fast Track is a perk, which makes a world of difference. Items don't need you to use a perk slot, and allow you to keep using DS/UB/SG/DH with one person on the team using PT, whilst Fast Track would need you to remove one of those perks.
So, imo, it's perfectly balanced, if slightly underpowered for the effect it grants/
-
Here's some of the ones I thought of for my comment on their post (there's more, these are just the reversed ones):
"Empathetic Void" (Reverse of Empathy)
What once was a heart brimming with selflessness is now an empty hole of cruelty.
After injuring a survivor with your Basic Attack, their aura is revealed to you for 6 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds.
"Toxic Shock" (Reverse of Botany Knowledge)
You know the best ways to make them hurt.
All survivors injured with your Basic Attack are afflicted by the Hindered status effect for 30/35/40 seconds.
"You All Die Together" (Reverse of We're Gonna Live Forever)
You couldn't protect any of your friends, so why should they be able to do the same?
All survivors within 4m/6m/8m of another survivor suffer from the exposed status effect. This effect lingers for another 3 seconds after leaving the range.
"Brutal Dash" (Reverse of Dead Hard)
Pressing the "Active Ability" button will cause you to begin a short, 3 second dash forwards at 180% speed that breaks any pallets you come into contact with. Bumping against a wall or other survivor will cause this perk to deactivate. You cannot attack whilst Dashing.
This perk has a cooldown of 120/110/100 seconds.
"Hex: Pain Incarnate" (Reverse of No Mither)
A Hex Perk rooting its power on pain.
Any survivor you injure will suffer from the Broken status effect. This applies to the most recent 2/3/4 survivors injured.
The hex effect persists whilst the associated hex perk remains standing, after which it gets deactivated.
-----------------------------"Hush, now" (Reverse of Stridor)
You need to remain quiet in this realm to survive.
Any survivor who you unhook makes 50%/60%/70% less noise whilst injured or healthy. This effect persists until the next time the survivor is placed into the Dying State.
"Thanatophobia" (Reverse of, well... Thanatophobia)
You're afraid of death, but that just makes you more determined to escape!
For each injured, hooked, dying, or dead survivor, generator repair speeds are increased by 3%/3.5%/4%.
"A Nurse's True Calling" (Reverse of, well... A Nurse's Calling)
It's always been your destiny to help those in need.
After a survivor is injured, see their auras for 15 seconds. After healing another survivor, see the auras of all survivors in the trial.
Your healing speed is increased by 20%/25%30%.
"Divine Intervention" (Reverse of Corrupt Intervention)
There is some other force in this realm, something evil, but asking nicely goes a long way.
Whilst in a chase, the Entity reveals the auras of any killer traps, chests, or totems within 10m/12m/16m.
"Infectious Courage" (Reverse of Infectious Fright)
You've always had an infectious smile.
After getting the "Reunited" score event for the first time with each survivor, you both gain a 3%/4%/5% boost to repair speeds. This effect remains until you begin and then stop repairing a generator.

Im saying it’s a part of online gaming and if you can’t handle it here, you can’t handle it anywhere.
Maybe someone who takes it to heart isn’t suited for competitive games and should try civilization (on single player)
Y'know, if a genie offered me three wishes, my first would be to make you a nicer person.
"It's a part of online gamin-" No. It's never right to tell someone to kill themselves, nor is it ever right to use a slur, and if you think like that you're part of the problem.

They clearly haven’t played any FPSs / MOBAs ever and have played DBD as their only competitive online game then.
On Xbox you actually get smack talk over a mic instead of some salty endgame text messages.
Yeah because one community is bad it's now excusable to tell people to off themselves!
Next up you'll be advocating for the use of slurs because they've been used in old COD lobbies- great idea!
To quote myself from an earlier post to you, "You seem like a right ray of sunshine."

@SilentPill said:
Why do people care is the real question?
Personally I think it’s funny when someone gets so mad they spew salt on my steam profile. Especially since many games I have the chat off so they get that pissed by in game actions alone.
Because to some people, being told to ######### kill themselves is a pretty disheartening thing to hear.

But please tell me that it doesn't apply a stretch.
And yeah, this was minimal. I know some people that play on 1080*1080, or even 500*1080
Edit: there was apparently an issue with the screenshots, I'll try and upload the raw footage (just know there won't be any sound to it)
Double edit: my editing software is also giving me the same issue where it squishes it down, best thing I could do for you would be to stream on Discord or something.

It applies the same effect, both are game filters, so I'd still say it's not cheating.

If you mean NVIDIA game filters, these have to be explicitly approved by the game developers for use, so I don't think they're classed as cheating due to them being intentionally allowed.

If I never saw Zubatlels perk icons again because of this I'd be very sad indeed.
the custom perk icons/character portraits are located in a seperate directory to the .ini engine files, so if they were to lock the .ini files it'd have no impact on custom packs, thankfully

Does being able to change the quality of the graphics (low, med, etc) have an effect on framerate? If so console badly profusely needs those options.
Also all this does not give me the warm & fuzzies when it comes to "we all are playing the same game no worries Crossplay is fair" argument I see thrown my way at times.
yeah, it does. playing on low graphics is significantly less taxing to a system than ultra (like, for example, my pc can handle ~120fps on Ultra without burning my legs to a crisp but could easily, and I mean easily if the game wasn't capped at 144fps, hit 200fps+ on low (not like it matters to me, i have a 60hz monitor so the most i could even see would be 60fps so thats what i run it at). hopefully when they bring these updated graphical options to pc they'll also have them on console, cause i've seen my ex-gf's ps4 run this game and it was about as pretty as a car crash.
also, anyone who says pc and console are playing the same game are wishfully thinking at best and woefully misinformed at worst, as much as id like it to be the same.
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/239915/devs-is-stretched-resolution-an-exploit
Doesn't it require messing with your .ini file? If thats the case I absolutely would say it is.
Not necessarily; you can just change the displayed resolution on your monitor to achieve the same effect.
This, obviously, doesn't make it any less of an exploit. It still should be fixed.

Why in the entity's blue butthole can the game files be accessed? I assume this is a PC only thing again? Just, why???
Honestly, I can't really give an answer for it. It's a nice feature to have, because it allows you to use customised icons/portraits (which BHVR could make a fortune off of selling in the store) but at the same time allows you to change graphical options to a better setting then the presets of "Low", "Medium", "High", and "Ultra"- like, for me, my eyesight is awful so I'd have to play on Low settings normally, otherwise I wouldn't be able to see anything, but being able to change the files let's me keep shadows on low and have other things higher so the game looks nicer.
This wouldn't be a thing if the game had proper graphical settings, but unfortuantely it doesn't, so I have to resort to this.
And being able to edit these files also allows other... less innocent graphic adjustments, such as making the red stain brighter, or removing fog.
Hopefully, they'll implement the better graphics options (planned for later this year) and then lock the .ini files.

Spaghetti code is not an excuse.
We're talking about their JOBS man.
Its not their priority, period. Its not "complex".
Please, point me to the code of the game and provide a simple fix to the resolution scaling that would leave the remainder in-tact and not break 30 other unrelated components of the game. If you can't do that, forgive me for not believing you that it isn't """complex"""
But yes, I'm well aware that it's not their priotity. They said so themselves, as I told OP in my first comment on this post.
Please, do some reading :)

How is it difficult to replicate you down someone and they just make no sound.
you can test this in a costume game with 2 people and how is a video of someone going down and then haveing no sound going to help them determine what is the issue.
How is it difficult? The game is built on spaghetti code where you change one number value from 4 to 5 and suddenly half of the killers in the game can't lunge, it's pretty difficult. It's also wildly inconsistent; I go weeks at a time not encountering it then one day it's every match, hence why it can't be consistently replicated in-studio.
How do videos help? They show the EXACT steps better than words ever could, that must be taken to get to the issue in question.
-

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2077969#Comment_2077969
Cant do that (console player)
So it seems like it's an issue and what console players are supposed to accept it?
No, you can still provide any video clips etc, just no logs due to the nature of your platform.
The post was mainly there to show that they need the community to help provide logs/clips etc of the bug because its not replicatable in-studio.
-

So I guess no sound when down is very very complex considering it's been a thing since launch
1) No, it hasn't, as someone who's been playing since November 2017.
2) Yes, it actually is, as confirmed by the devs that they can't replicate it in-studio here:

This thread is specifically for the reports where survivors don't make any sounds. Please make sure to follow the information that we need listed below:
PLEASE BE SURE TO INCLUDE ANY RELEVANT INFORMATION, SUCH AS:
- Your platform
- What sound(s) was silent
- The map you were playing on
- A clip of the incident, if you have one
- The time frame when the error occurred (The date and time you had the issue)
- Logs (apply to PC only)
Note: If needed, we will contact you via DM for further information.
HOW TO GET YOUR LOGS (THIS PART ONLY APPLY TO PC PLAYERS):
When you get the issue, close your game and do not reopen it until you get your logs.
- Press Win+R
- Type in appdata
- Press OK
- In opened window navigate to: \Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Logs
- Usually you would need to attach the DeadByDaylight.log file.

I don't feel like using it in a public game, nor re-downloading it on my Switch to enter a KYF and most of my friends are busy right now. Because what you'll achieve won't provide the same kind of result you'll achieve by tampering with game files.
you won't get bigger FoV or anything, you'll just have a messed up res.
That's it.

Guess forbidding to change txt file (a way to achieve stretched res exploit in the first place) isn't an option
They forbid the change to the .txt files and you know what then happens?
NVIDIA control panel, this took me a grand total of 8 seconds to do to achieve a stretch of 1080*1080, 3 of which were waiting for the program to open.
So yeah, feel free to lock the .txt file and see how that does literally nothing to stop stretched res. Any more bright ideas?
(This, for the record, is why I keep talking about resolution scaling because that's how you stop it for good.)
-
@Profezia said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2077458#Comment_2077458
no excuses. games are developed faster.
Do you know how to implement resolution scaling, particularly in dbd? Because I don't, but I'm assuming it's pretty difficult, considering the spaghetti code base. If someone does know and can prove to me that it's easy then I'll eat my words.
Know what isn't going to help? Continually bitching about it over and over when it cannot and will not make it get fixed faster. It's the exact same as matchmaking; making new posts about it won't make a functional, perfect MMR release any sooner.
Also, "games are developed faster"? This makes absolutely zero sense in this context my guy.
So again, some problems are more ✨complex✨ than others.
You got your answer; a developer has confirmed stretched res is an exploit.
There's no reason to continue this discussion if you're going to continue being a petulant child.

Love the ideas wording and all the perks that go with it but some minor adjustments because of similarity to perks that exist or need for clarity (or maybe a little too op)
- "Toxic Shock" -You know the best ways to make them hurt. All survivors injured with your Basic Attack are afflicted by the Hindered status effect for 30/35/40 seconds. (3/4/5%) because everything has a different amount of speed slow on hindered
- " You All Die Together" You couldn't protect any of your friends, so why should they be able to do the same? All survivors within 4m of another survivor suffer from the exposed status effect. This effect lingers for another (1/1.5/2) seconds after leaving the range (steath killers op and solo queue sandbagging came to mind immediatly)
- "A Nurse's True Calling" It's always been your destiny to help those in need. After a survivor is injured, see their auras for 15 seconds. After healing another survivor, see the auras of all survivors in the trial. Your healing speed is increased by 30/40/50% when healing another survivor. (botany feels too similar so I thought minor buff and only on others)
- "We've Got This!" A little moral boost can go a long way. When running within 20m of another running survivor, both of you gain a 3% (or maybe 4%) speed boost. This effect persists for 3/4/5 seconds after leaving this 20m. (think of endgame against slower killers like huntress or trickster so adding hope to this would literally make you faster than them)
the rest are amazing and I personally would like them in the game as is
@GoodBoyKaru if you come up with ideas for other character swap perks let me know ping me or whatever Id love to see what you come up with next cause this is awesome #redditGold XD
I was basing it off of the role-reversed characters not existing and so their perks didn't either, so I didn't feel an issue with having ATNC being similar to Botany.
With Toxic Shock, Hindered is 15% unless specified otherwise, so it was 15% slowdown.
YADT, solo sandbagging did come to mind but hey, it'd also encourage survivors to play better and spread out instead so I'm not sure it'd be that powerful.
WGT, I didn't mind that change. Stacking 7% haste effects like Hope, Breakout, or Blood Pact doesn't actually happen so you couldn't combine it with Hope, and if there were two people running together mid-game to get value then that's 2 people not on gens.
Glad you liked em, though lol

I always see it more of a hatch issue as if it spawns before 5 gens are done and keys can open it in any way, it will always be a way to bypass the main objective.
The spawning rules is what should change, not the keys themselfs. Unfortunatley, devs most likely plan to change keys and keep the spawning rules as they are which won't help the biggest issue of bypassing gens. I dread of the changes they have in store.
Keys are definitely the bigger issues. Having one survivor have a way out if their team brought them down that the killer can find and close isn't an issue. Having one survivor be able to bring 3 of their teammates out of the trial, bypassing a 3 gen and the endgame, because they had an item, needs to go.

This is an issue with keys, which will hopefully be reworked in this upcoming midchapter (I can dream anyway) and less with hatch.
