Devs tried to make server validation for hatchets when dbd tested dedicated servers. It caused hatchets could one shot healthy survivors. All community was confused. We thought devs secretly implemented headshots for Huntress.
But for some reason it was a bug that register successful hits twice sometimes.
Not to mention that 2018 Hitbox adjustment where she couldn't hit anything.

Why not just change the hitbox slightly? Hit validation hasn’t been the most successful thing ever and would this imply adding it to plague, slinger and trickster too?
That sounds a bit better than a validation, if they do it right this time.
Which, knowing BHVR....they wouldn't.

I believe in you General, you're a man of good taste.
And you are someone who knows what is best for the Fog!
Your support is appreciated, my friend.

If there is a Winter Solstice 2021, I will be returning to the Fog.
...To the lobby, at least.
I NEED to hear this in-game again:

Trust me, it would not end well.

The only thing they're bad is because of visual feedback for a killer. Hit validation is mostly fine by itself
I don't think so, at least based on what I've seen before leaving the Fog. It is bad and doesn't work properly.
Imagine that for Huntress....No, just no.
-
Both "validations" we have so far are very bad. One for Huntress would just be 2018 Huntress Adjustment all over again.
And we all know how that ended up.
-
BHVR just genuinely does not know what they are doing, nor what is best for this game.
Don't get me wrong, from 2016 to early-2019 they did an amazing and outstanding work which deserves praise.
But after that...there has been nothing but downgrades and disappointments again, and again, and again...
That is why new leadership is required. A certain...General, for that matter.
I can fix this game.
-
Nah, both Hexes and Boons should be one-time use.
Once they are dead, they stay dead.
-
I like Hag.
-
Slowdown.
Even the strongest slowdown build simply cannot hold gens on its own. Not to mention that the general gameplay will be the same, just slower.
Slugging, on the other hand, is just annoying.
-
Goodbye, Stranger Things.
It was a good journey.

Man, I relate to this a lot. It's a special kind of nightmare playing current Freddy and missing old Freddy. I still main him because I love the movies but his old power felt more like him.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/ZOEI3VENOFLU/z8d3oowx0fze.png
Yeah, I relate to that too.
-
I don't. Not anymore.
Though 2018-early 2019 DBD will always be the best game I've ever played.

I don't know where you got this picture but I love it
There are some memes with Freddy here and there.
This one is my favorite:

They might be around the same level, now that current Freddy got nerfed.

Yeah, 10% regression and giving away your location to a killer, who can teleport to any incomplete gen almost all the time, isn’t the greatest idea. As you said, it made sense against OG Freddy, but not very much against current one. You also didn’t mention that falling asleep is now always passively happening, so it’s only a matter of time before you’re right back in the dream world.
I despise current Freddy so much.
"I despise current Freddy so much."

Consequences of anti-loop killers.
They need to stop releasing this type of characters. We have enough already.

They can aim for that if they want to.

How can? Quentin has the most improvement update, along with Kate & Jake
He doesn't look sleep deprived, and they removed Freddy's claw marks from his P3.
Both things are extremely important for an ANOES survivor.
That...was not an improvement.
-
"GeneralV made a great post a while back in the feedback section of how old Freddy's power could have been with a few buffs and changes and I would have loved that instead."
Thank you, so much! As a fellow 2018 Old Freddy main, it is heartwarming to see such support for my concept.
As for the actual thread, I've seen some people missing Skill Checks against current Freddy, but I am pretty sure it was force of habit.

I despised all iterations of him. I’m glad he’s no longer popular.
Within the whole specter of things, you would've liked mine.
-
I will miss everything about it, except its sometimes stupid lack of Fog.
-
Stranger Things leaving the Fog is very, very painful to see.
This DLC released in September of 2019. Back then I had already lost Freddy, but everything else was still in its place, which means that I have many good memories regarding it.
My favorite was on its PTB, when I expected to face Demo but encountered a Legion instead xD. That was my first match on Hawkins.
Didn't face Demo until one trial later, on old Thompson House...
Good memories, my friend. Good memories.

Depends on the map. IMO they should have never added map offerings and just left it up to RNG to determine. But it works both ways, if I see an SWF thats clear and blatantly trolling from the lobby I'll throw on an RPD map just out of spite.
@JPA said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2642156#Comment_2642156
because I find the game to already be survivor sided, so when I'm playing against a team who also wants to select the map (and then no doubt tailor all their perk builds to the map) I just find it to be very... dishonourable I guess.
Not to mention map offerings are fundamentally broken with SWF because a team can just rotate through their offerings which a single Killer cannot match the pace of with the offering to block map offerings.
Depends on the killer and the players, tbh.
I've seen teams use Old Ormond offerings...only to return defeated.

Yeah fair, I dunno map offerings still just trigger me hard lol
Why tho?
Map offerings are alright.
-
If you see an extremely obvious SWF, you should be prepared for anything.
-
If it was really debatable, then you wouldn't be commenting on one of them right now ;)
-
It is simple:
Hexes are one-time use.
So should Boons.
Easy fix. I don't understand how is this whole discussion even a thing.

Welcome to the land of exile, my friend.
Here, we shall plan our coup...I mean, hope for the game to get fixed eventually!
Yes, that is definitely what we should do.
-
Well...everyone always complains about Self-Care too weak (something I really disagree with).
Now it isn't.
They should leave it as a feature.
-
May it rest in peace.

You know me, my friend.
My heart belongs to one character only...

Your art is always nice to see.
It is just a pity that my favorite character never seems to get a bit of the spotlight.

I want the old Freddy Dream Pull mechanic back in the game, as an alt power you can switch between Snares and Pull - like Clown's A&A bottles. But I don't think any killer should have a debuff built into their power.
The idea for making it so generators affected by Projection cannot be repaired is a good touch, and the addition of Incapacitated for the duration of Dream Pull. But I honestly think a combination of Old and Current Freddy is the direction to go in:
Freddy's Terror Radius is 32m and is the NOES Lullaby regardless of awake or asleep. Awake survivors hear the generic terror radius when Freddy is within 12m of their location.
Survivors affected by Dream Pull experience a 100% accelerated sleep timer and suffer with Incapacitated for 7 seconds.
Survivors can halt the acceleration by using an alarm clock or have another teammate slap them into their senses.
Survivors waking up using an alarm clock when fully asleep have their location revealed via Killer Instinct when woken up for 1.5 seconds.
Survivors that are immune to sleep post-alarm clock wake-up can still be affected by the Dream Pull Incapacitated effect but do not begin sleep transition.
The add-ons should not be changed completely either. Dream Pallets should still exist; The dresses should decrease skill-check odds like you say; the Z-Block should cause all asleep survivors within 32m of Freddy to scream revealing their location when a sleeping survivor is hooked; the rest of the add-ons are fine imo. Maybe buff current Black Box to be 20 seconds instead of 10.
Since you're a Freddy main, how would you rate current Freddy's strength on a tier list? I personally think he is the weakest killer in the game. I'm curious to hear a Freddy main's opinion of him :)
"Since you're a Freddy main, how would you rate current Freddy's strength on a tier list? I personally think he is the weakest killer in the game. I'm curious to hear a Freddy main's opinion of him :)"
I do not play DBD anymore, but if I recall everything correctly...bottom of the A Tier.
Freddy is still a strong character, just VERY boring and uninteresting.

Oh, do you not like them at all? I mean I can understand why.
Nope, I don't.
Besides, there isn't really a reason to have a chase power on a character who was never meant to be an aggressive chaser.

Iirc, a wall is all it took.

Ooh, whoopsies there.
The typos are real.
Anyway, I like Lightburn. I think it is a nice and fun mechanic, though the add-on which grants you immunity to it should return.

That surprises me, ngl.
But for real, I genuinely like the mechanic. A way to remove the mechanic, such as an add-on or with Lightborn, would be nice though.
I just realized I wrote "rid" instead of "read".

@glitchboi said:
I like the lightburn mechanic. It has counterplay and is fun to go against. I would just make it so that Lightborn makes lightburn impossible to do, and honestly just buff Wraith's already weak kit.
"I like the lightburn mechanic. It has counterplay and is fun to go against"
All I wanted to read.
You are a man of culture.
-
No.
I faced wannabe flashlight bullies many times, and eventually you just learn to ignore it.
-
Honestly...no.
Current DBD, even if it was my first time seeing it, would never have the same effect old DBD had when I started playing in 2018.
-
I think this would be a bad change, because that feeling when you just started a trial and has no idea of which killer you will face is one of the best things DBD can provide.

Trickster and Ghostface.
