What are her problems from your point of view?
Power that is the Best stealth in the game, that is really hard to coordinate in solo queue, that grants arguably the most annoying injure/hinder, that encourages W gameplay, and basekit haste.
The only thing that can certainly help in 3-Gens is the built in tracking but that’s about it.
-
While I do really, REALLY not like SM and think she has an immense amount of problems: 3-Gens aren’t really one of them.
-
She’s holding two giant mozzarella sticks.
-
Are the Twins addons even still confirmed to be reworked outside of the number changed ones that got added to base kit.
They definitely put the mid in mid chapter for this one. Oh, and the Tanuki thing will probably be there tomorrow.
-
Guess we should Buckle Up.
haha wink wink nudge nudge

Damn… was hoping it was a Disgaea crossover. Prinny, dood!
Now you got me thinking about it. I could see Trapper pulling out this bad boy
-
I thought the tanuki was an existing model already. If it is, I’m assuming this is a mini-event like the Gnome Chompski one. If it isn’t, either surprise map tweak or they finally got around to adding the raccoon or whatever and it’s like a pixel in the image.
-
Never! You can have Off the Record when you pull it from my cold dead hands along with my DH/DS!
-
I view using Invocation as the equivalent of sandbagging your team on purpose. That said, no one should outright insult you for it but I think it’s fair when it’s “can’t believe this guy brought this perk in, maybe I should express my issue with it as it’s clearly the reason it threw our game.”
-
The devs need to know that we’re not their QA testers.

Everyone jumps to assuming it was cheese. There was a lot of interaction here that had nothing to do with cheese at all. As soon as you defend box auras people immediately assume you just want to tunnel a person out following them from box to box..that’s not what’s happening.
That is what’s happening. And it always was what’s happening. In fact, it’s still happening. It’s not a huge nerf when all you have to do is have a vague idea of box spawns.

@Mandy said:
If a Gen is blocked it cannot be progressed or regressed - so yes, this is not a bug but by design of the perk.
I don’t think that should be a rule with regression events being a new standard. BNP’s effect should not count as standard progression. It’s tied to an addon/perk outside normal gameplay.
-
Play him on Hawkins or Lerys and you’ll immediately see the map dependence.

Yeah. We need more overpriced links that are awfully uncreative as a result of some idiot. Take the bigger approach and actually ban the people being toxic in your community instead of asking them to do something short term that won’t solve problems in the future.
TF2 did this for years with decals. Games like to have a report feature. BHVR actually needs to act on it.

Did you know that tier three Myers can insta-kill survivors regardless of hook states? I believe that's the best power state in the game and I'm sure others do too.
Just saying. Plague has amazing anti-loop on top of free broke. With the best snowball potential. I didn’t even bring up Myers.

Plague injures you, true, but she doesn't have anything to deny loops. You're just injured, just like Legion's ability.
What. She has at max three pools of corrupt regardless of whether they cleanse or not.
-
More importantly, how can we breath on the Nostromo Wreckage. Planet is baron of plant life by the looks of it.
-
Self-care with extra steps where the speed with Botany rarely matters unless you happen to get injured right next to the basement, killer drops chase, and doesn’t have Nurse’s.

PixelBush posted this just now.
PixelBush is trying so hard to justify SM at this point I’m expecting them to get engaged soon.
-
No need, because the Huntress changes barring the move speed were needed.
Basekit Infantry Belt is such a good QoL and wind up helps with tiles in indoor maps. Overall great change and the devs should do something similar with Dredge if they’re not touching the locker spawns.

They decreased the detection range of traps significantly, which made her insanly strong and unavoidable. Next they buffed basic range and setting speed.
Long story short, she is already a strong killer and did non need any significant buffs at all.
Running with your camera facing behind you still works and you can avoid taking a hit by an insta-tele unless you double stack the range decrease addons. If anything this slightly nerfs Rusty Shackles.

No he’s fine at 115%. 110% killers are supposed to be like that because they can use their power to hit a survivor in every single situation. Blight can’t do that at shorter loops, and him being 110% would be a nightmare on those tiles for the killer.
What do you mean he can’t do that at shorter loops. The junkie can hug tech. Even without it, that doesn’t make sense either because shorter loops equate to the unsafe/trash tiles that he can hit you on anyway.

I don't know much about coding or any of the like, but is it really that difficult to be able to tell when someone actually chooses to disconnect from a match compared to the game crashing / internet going out?
Sudden crashes or power outages are not traceable to the server and impossible to differentiate from just DC-ing. Thats why people sometimes call them pluggers, cause theoretically you can unplug an Ethernet cord to figuratively say “Uh oh my power went out! Oopsies! Haha! Let me back in!” There’s no flag for it.
You either penalize them on clicking the leave game button or you penalize them for disconnecting for any reason. No in between.
-
Delete her and replace her with Terminator. If you got that stuff in Deathgarden you can get it here. Put her perks in general rotation and make Thalita and Renato free survivors up there with David.
W BHVR move and it’ll make all the 3-Gen SMs mald

Boring Diet Huntress with extra steps and is up there as the best camper in the game along with Bubba and Billy.

I didn’t know there was an original version. I’m assuming they shrunk it then?
I actually don’t hate Trickster. I recognize that im bad and don’t blame him for downing me fast. I just hate his music. It’s really grating.
I was there back in the day. Pale Rose was way bigger. Nearly as big as old Mother’s Dwelling.
I personally thought it was a nightmare and for one reason only: it has two docks. Size is whatever but having two docks was horrific.
-
I’d like to call it the Singularity Effect.
Meaning he’ll be some of the best designed Killers in years but has a power that vaguely requires skill and knowing what velocity is. Therefore no one on console will play him and he’ll be a great treat every once in a while.
-
This thread proves to me that half of the people complaining about the RBT increase don’t play Pig.
They see a number and put their mathematician brain to work calculating the most oblivious thread in existence.
-
Stop labeling your arguments as a “Cold Take” and acting like you’re right.
Background Player is fine as is. It’s not as strong as Sprint Burst nor Lithe. Survivors doing anything other than gens is a win in my book. It’s like complaining about flashlight saves. First you put on Lightborn and now you wonder why gens are going so fast.
Cmon. It’s like every single Killer on this forum wants to make survivor a miserable and horrific experience. First you say BP and Buckle Up is overtuned, and then you move on to Sprint Burst and Lithe. Might as well make this work like current Dead Hard at this point.
-
I disagree.
Range increase addons did not benefit Hag anymore than the base because most survivors are knowledgeable enough to point their camera in a different direction than they were running. You see this a lot with high MMR survivors just pointing their camera behind them. They can manipulate their movement after camera swing.
However, I want to point out that this isn’t the reason the addons needed a tweak, it’s because the current trap trigger is already the sweet spot. You cover most chokes in the game without needed extra trigger range. It’s redundant. It really only nerfs scroll wheel insta teleport if anything.
-
You win some, you lose some. Sorry you can’t slam solo queue with Adren Vile even though it universally agreed it was a jack of all trades that did everything for you. Blight is fine.
Also, unrelated, you casually dropping you’re a CEO of a small business is the funniest thing to me. To the DBD forums of all things. You being an entrepreneur changes nothing about the argument so I have zero clue why you brought it up at all. It straight up sounds like you’re taking a piss out of the whole discussion.
-
Any average killer will defend UW till the heat death of the universe and deflect to complaining about genrushing. If I remember correctly, Deja Vu was the topic of the day because the yellow bar gave too much dopamine. Meanwhile, UW completely clowns on other info perks unless you use the funny counter pick that was nerfed with a debuff. Not to mention synergy with DMS.
-
It’s incredible that there’s people genuinely bootlicking terrible design after design just because the one before it was worse. The point of the Eruption comparison is because the combo is ALMOST as horrific as it was and NEEDS to change. It prevented you from doing the survivors objective completely. No perk should do that. End of story. What you effectively say here is down playing how actually incredibly destructive the combo is.
You’re goal posting. If Ruin’s first iteration came back, the first friggin’ thing you’d say is “well at least it ain’t Eruption!”
-
Missed opportunity to actually make her a merchant of skulls. Imagine going to a control station and crafting a skull shotgun that chatters when it shoots and goes “neahaha!” every time you land a hit.
And give her a Skeletor skin with a new mori.
”THE PIZZA DWIGHT! EAT IT!”

Revert self-healing removal. Self-heal speed at 50% of normal. Keep aura reading.
While we’re at it, rework boon ranges. Cap CoH at 12m, then cap Step, Expo, Illumination, and Dark Theory at 32m. Simply just make the rings more prominent and distinctive. Buff Illumination aura effect to be map-wide on gens, remove the chest auras, and make it so that all survivor auras are visible while in radius.
Boom. Most boons are good again.
-
Bump Billy up behind Oni. His mobility is way better than pre-overheat Billy that I’d honestly say he’s almost as scary to face as him.
Onyro probably one down ahead of Trickster and Artist/Wesker should be up a tier too.
-
@GannTM said:
I don’t think some of you understand why COH before was too strong. It wasn’t the self heal speed necessarily, it was the fact that the perk benefits the whole team. All four survivors having access to this made it stupid.
Boons by design are to benefit the whole team no?
I’m not saying we plop back CoH untouched. I’m saying we can make self-healing work in some capacity and not keep the perk gutted like it is.
-
It’s an asymmetrical game.
Survivors having a reasonablely strong tile once every blue moon is better than completely gutting their resources and turning it into the killer haven and automating it into the most predictable tile sets ever. It’s not like old Cow Shed where every procedural tile was horrific.
Keep the fun bus.
-
@fussy said:
Old CoH is one of the most broken perks in the game and should never have existed at all. You don't even need to have 1000+ hours to understand that whole team having free and endless resource due to one perk is stupid. It should be slower than current Self-care to be balanced with self healing.
Old CoH was released before the med-kit nerfs and self-healing nerfs. It’s already slower. We’re not talking about the nutty first initiation, we’re talking about the previous initiation which had considerable healing speed nerfs.
If you want it to be so finite so bad then the devs can call it a ‘healing event’ and limit it to 8 heals.
-
I just treat it as a rhythm minigame to be honest. You can sorta predict when the next skill check position with be so you can roughly hit them on beat. Never missed them much since.

That's a reason to not like playing AGAINST her, but I was asking why more ppl don't play AS her.
My bad. I read through it wrong.
Anyway, mainly because Hag gets slightly boring with the usual playstyle.
- Bind teleport to scroll wheel
- Place at intersections/god loops to deny survivor movement
- Slap on early/mid game gen blocking like Corrupt/Deadlock before it starts
- Good to go
Blight sorta has hug tech and other little tricks that help with skill expression. Weaker too. Hag has trap placement, which to some is boring. Once you know the ins and outs, really you just re-trap around half the map and ignore the rest and let the scroll wheel do the work. There is Mint Rag and Rusty Shackles but the playstyle doesn’t really deviate much. Overall, boring killer at face value, but one you come to appreciate if you enjoy a defensive playstyle, which not a lot of people enjoy over high octane Blight or Wesker.
-
Hello, I play Hag often. General consensus is that no one likes being downed to a well placed trap. That’s about it.
Most survivors are used to automating looping with most anti-loop killers, but Hag is a preemptive anti-loop killer. Thus, someone that goes up against a scroll wheel Hag is gonna have a pretty bad time because they didn’t get a chance to loop. Most Hags don’t take chase for good reason, and survivors can’t make up their mind if they want a chase killer or not. Also, she had a bad history of proxy camping.
Just a polarizing killer overall.
-
All Hex perks have immense flaws by themselves and due to map spawns, are extremely predictable and easy to play around.
- Third Seal is mediocre unless it’s to counter WoO
- Lullaby is bad due to how easy it is to ignore it
- Haunted Grounds is a big miss since smart survivors will wait to cleanse and the effect is quite short for the reward
- Plaything is in the same boat for the same reason
- Two Can Play is a meme
- Face the Darkness is used for meme strategies if anything, even though the effect is alright
- Blood Favor can work, but is gatekept by most killers that can’t reliably use it
- Crowd Control doesn’t have much use due to Bamboozle doing a better job, and most survivors chain to other loops anyway
- Ruin is a lil’ too slow for the effect these days
The only hex perks that are on the same level as many other perks are Pentimento, Devour Hope, Retribution, and Thrill. But the problem is, outside of Devour, three of these require totems to be cleansed, which would only kinda work with Devour. Pentimento and Thrill are great slowdown when they are in play, and Retribution is just a great perk in general, both for aura reading and obliviousness.
-
First two points can apply to anyone that isn’t Blight or Nurse. Corrupt/Deadlock is a necessary given for almost every killer with no immense pressure that those two have, and maybe Spirit. Hag/Trapper too. That’s a game issue since the current gen speeds and map design require those perks, not Clown specific.
Piss bottles need utility though. Maybe not speed. Cigar Box is a given and I wouldn’t mind a weaker version being basekit. Just something to give it the ol’ Jarate infamy and not some clearly lesser supplement to purple bottles.
-
Biggest factor is the locker teleport priority always being the locked locker in pairs. Why bother locking both lockers when the Dredge has no way to actually pick what locker to teleport to when the lockers come in groups?
-
Always has been a pain. Hag and Sadako can’t see anything either due to the low POV. Should’ve seen how bad it was with low POV Blight.

A respectable PR move is a respectable PR move.
I will happily criticize everything BHVR does related to FOMO cosmetics, battle passes, and premium currency. But making DLCs overall cheaper isn’t one of them.

Nostromo is supposed to be good map design? What? Its one, if not the worst designed map, both visually and from gameplay perspective. Clunky walls, so many random objects, bad tiles, horrible main building, bad second building ("shack"). And on top of that, it has two complete dead ends.
The best maps are in my opinion:
- Coal Tower, but also any McMillian besides Shelter Woods.
- Wreckers Yard
- Cowshed, Torment Creek
- Father Campbells Chapel
I’ve seen a good bit early when it released say it was one of the better map designs, but maybe that skewed away since then. Also, yeah, Cowshed became an actually decent map from my experience.
-
Some QoL till then would be nice. Pallet Freddy is the most useless thing since they started doing map reworks due to how many little tiles have possible pallet spawns now. Even throwing a pallet in weird spawn locations would help with arguably the only fun mechanic on Freddy.
-
Her entire kit being haste-based is what absolutely failed her, before and after the rework. She’s now relegated to “let me slap on Rapid Brutality and watch me pull a MFT” killer due to how much haste she can stack on. At least old SM had a pallet breaking mechanic that was semi-neat, excluding the three-gen.
Behavior could’ve given her the best power in the game by reworking her power to match her title. Her name is Skull MERCHANT. You tellin’ me they couldn’t design a complex power around actually buying skull-based tools at stations around the map? What a missed opportunity. Now they turned her into a crypto anime fangirl that flies her novelty drones she got at the Haunted Mansion gift shop in Disney World.
