  • I am absolutely thrilled with the midchapter update. These are the changes that definitely needed to be implemented into the game and so happy that the devs are listening.

The crabhead zombies are such a pain! The crimson heads are also pretty damn annoying, but it was fun making enemies bleed and having them chase them down. Well, Jill's my favorite RE character so I'm probably a little biased there.

The flash grenades are such a lifesaver! Especially if you got like 3 or 5 of them coming at you, just toss one out and jobs done. I don't feel like they're as necessary in RE5 because you just get so much ammo in that game. And, even if you use a lot of ammo, the game will give it all back in the span of 5 minutes! xD

I'm also super sad that the Resistance beta has been delayed on PS4. :(

Sorry for the late reply, man. A lot of stuff went on @.@ but Jill is seriously one of the best characters, hands down. Her and Leon all the way.

It's so satisfying when you manage to take down a lot of plaga with a flash grenade. Stressful then boom, relief. Dude, the amount of ammo you get in RE5 is nuts. Like there are times where you have to sell the ammo. What I find annoying is if you have an infinite ammo weapon and you accidentally pick it up. It's like a force of habit to pick up ammo then later you're like "ah crap wait, I have infinite ammo."

Speaking of the beta, whooooooooooo boy. I played a bit with my friend. It's..... nuts. I feel you would need a full team of four to play it. If you solo or even play with another friend, you can't rely on the others. Do let me know when you want to play though =D

  • Touch my bones and I will end your life.

  • As much as I love Pinhead, Candyman would be awesome. He does have a hooked hand so he already fits right in. Imagine him sending swarms of bees after you.

  • My sister invited me to play since she wanted more people on her team and also to test out killers. Mainly did KYF to practice the game and to just mess around. Not going to lie, I stopped playing for awhile but picked it back up just before the Stranger Things DLC was announced and been playing it since I was tired of Overwatch.

  • Yes. It's fair. It's easy to counter. DO BONES.

  • I have been wanting an Army of Darkness one for the longest time. It would look amazing.

Alright, so Nemesis in the game was never a human, that's just a film thing. If I remember correctly, isn't that the mission where you first meet the bug head zombies? The whole fast mutation thing is definitely a suspension of disbelief moment, kinda a dumb one as well. Jill just in general deserved more screen time!

Yeah, they definitely did a good job of actually revealing what the Las Plagas was, like you said, unlike RE5. Yeah, they definitely wanted to continue what RE4 did but pushing it into even more into action turned people off. The first one is definitely the easy one, the third can be annoying but the second is easily the worst because of that insta kill ability and the ammo they can take. Yeah, I can't think of any games from the franchise that has bad monster designs!

It might be my favorite console from this generation, it's so convenient!

Yup, was totally just a film thing. Poorly executed obviously because Paul W.S. Anderson never played the games and prefer to have his Mary Sue of a wife hog all the glory. And yuuuuuuuuuuuuup, the headcrab zombies pretty much XD those things were so damn annoying. Not difficult but just really annoying. But yes, Jill needed more screen time, always.

You're pretty much right in that regard of it being more action based than 4. Flash grenades are seriously my best friend when it comes to any plaga. I save up at least a couple of the flash grenades in 4 for the second form of Plaga. If anything, at least every RE game has one or two monsters that are terrifying.

I wasn't keen on getting a switch at first but when I got mine, I'm thinking "wow, this is amazing for a portable console."

It's not okay that I want more than one objective to increase the duration of games and forces survivors to interact with with the killer in order to leave?

Did you just see I said survivor main and assume what I wrote without actually reading it and make yourself look asinine?

I am presenting a solution, which I support and feel it would very much fix, the issue of short games caused by survivors only having to do one primary objective to escape. What about that is wrong?

No, you're absolutely right but here's the thing, survivors main focus now is gens. A lot of survivors aren't doing totems or even wanting to interact with the killer at all. A thrill bar would be interesting. Maybe a possibility of an objective in the corner of the game screen or something. Or maybe do a set of gens, open a gate, do more gens etc. Survivors should do other objectives and I know it's boring doing just gens the whole game. I'm sure the matchmaking plays a part in it too.

I'm sorry I sound like a jerk but I just finished a few games where I was gen rushed badly. It's just frustrating how a lot of people think this is ok and that things aren't broken.

Ok, was Nemesis in the games ever human or more like Mr. X? Even though he was programed with a specific purpose, he was actually very intelligent in other aspects and yeah, the entire ending was dumb. The actress they got for Jill was a very good pick though, to bad she wasn't the main character! >:(

Yeah, I have zero idea how the biology of the virus in RE5 works and it's kinda a shame they dropped the ball in that department. Won't lie though, I HATED the one type in RE4 that could insta kill you if you got close enough. I also loved the monster designs in that game.

I need to play my switch more, got like 8 games to play and I've barley touched them.

Nemesis was more like Mr. X. If you remember from Operation Raccoon City, the U.S.S. had to get a parasite from a Mr. X model of Tyrant and inject it into Nemesis. So Nemesis is programmed to go after S.T.A.R.S and eliminate them. Nowhere it mentioned Nemesis being human. I always thought it was weird how fast Matt mutated into Nemesis and grew that big too in like the span of what, 24 hours? And yeah, too bad Jill isn't the main character OF THE MOVIE THAT IS BASED ON HER GAME.

At least in Resident Evil 4, they did a good job of Luis being a scientist and explaining the biology behind Las Plagas. There was none of that in RE5. Quite frankly, looking at RE5, it's definitely wanting to be like RE4. I mean the village in the beginning of RE4 is in RE5 for the tribal village. If you look up the pictures, you actually can see a similarity between them. I know exactly which enemy you are talking about and I scream like a little girl when those ones pop. First form? eh. Third form? eh. Second form? *screams while running away* RE4 had great monster designs and frankly, all the games do. They are really unique. Heck the Molded were terrifying in 7.

I never thought I was going to get a switch but when I played Let's Go Eevee with my friend, I fell in love. When I found out that the newest Pokemon game was going to be based in the UK, I was like "TAKE MY MONEY NOW" Also one of my favorite Playstation 2 games was ported to the Switch and I nearly cried, I was so happy.

I disagree with you guys. I don’t think you guys are considering both sides here. Why would someone want to stare at a PROGRESS BAR for 180 seconds ? Why would anyone want to stare at a PROGRESS bar longer than it is now just to die for you? Absolutely not. You’re only thinking of yourself. I see plenty of killers getting 3-4K a game. Why should they make it easier on killers? I disagree strongly sorry. You guys are in the wrong. Killers got it easy once you figure it out.

Gonna disagree with you on that, chief. Survivors get it so easy. You guys have flashlights, tool boxes to sabo hooks/repair gens, second chance perks perks to help progress generators etc.

I have played both sides and frankly, it is ridiculous how fast generators go with 2-3 people that it's insane. Plus you shouldn't be staring at the progression bar the whole time. You need to be looking around and feel like your life is really in danger. You think Killers are selfish? Please. Not all Killers get a 3-4k game.

If you don't play Killer, go do it then you'll see how it feels to have three gens pop on you when you are chasing a survivor you haven't even chased for like 30 seconds.

  • @mistar_z said:

Its Survive By Daylight now. I don't know how they think giving the first two generators away for free was good for the health of the game. Why even have five gens lmao.

If anything, complete all of the generators on the map.

  • @OtakuBurrito said:

Gen rushing is not real because it is literally the only primary objective that survivors have to do in order to escape. DBD needs to implement a mix of totems, gens, and killer interaction with a thrill bar in order for survivors to escape that changes each match.

I'm a hard core survivor main and I feel this is the only way to stop games going so fast. Because I know I can choose to dick around with a killer but when ######### starts getting real just "gen rush" him and leave or die on hook.

    Give survivors more objectives.

You're a survivor main. You think this is ok. It's not. End of story.

  • @Postcommodore said:

I agree with you I kind of wish survivors had a secondary objective other than gens but I don't know what that could be. Maybe after completing a gen they had to wire it to the escape gate. Honestly I don't know but it is a core problem with the game.

Yes, thank you. I think that is a great idea. They shouldn't be holding M1 for the whole damn game. They should have other means of escaping instead of doing just gens. Survivors get it good and easy in this game whereas the Killers have to work our asses off to get anything done. Survivors have strong loops and second chance perks. Oh if the survivor screws up, well herp derp have these. Killer screws up? Shame on you! Pressure gens more! But I like your idea that they should have a secondary objective.

  • @ApeOfMazor said:

Yeah but its fine according to the delusional people on this forum.

Ugh, you are absolutely right about that. Survivor mains are like "oh they're just fine!" No, they're really not, my dude.

Yeah, that was definitely the big issue with Nemesis in Apocalypse, why have him have feelings, why? I forgot Carlos was even in that movie. :/ Feel bad for the actor.

I always had a love hate relationship with the whole "octopus mouth" thing they did in RE5 which carried into the later films. Oh okay, kinda cool how revelations 2 leads, basically, right into RE6. Don't see it that much in this franchise.

That PS plus thing was probably one of the best things to happen to dbd on PS4, SO many people tried it because of that. Playing on the go is so good, the switch is great!

Exactly, Nemesis had no mind of his own and was basically programmed to kill S.T.A.R.S and that's it. Then at the end the guy was like "Alice and Nemesis duke it out". I watched the movies before playing the games and when I played the games and watched the movie again, I'm thinking "oooooooook they messed this and this and this and this up badly." Not gonna lie, I kinda liked the woman who played Jill though. But yeah, like Oded Fehr did a decent job playing Carlos even though he wasn't a good match for the character. Still angry of how he was screwed over in Extinction. I think I actually cried in the theater XD

Las Plagas was great in RE4 and the three different forms of Plaga they had actually scared the crap outta me. In RE5, I couldn't stand it. The Plaga looked absolutely stupid. I know that Wesker changed the Plaga formula but it didn't make sense. The idea of Plaga is a parasite that can control an organism which basically would make them into a zombie and that's what the Ganado acted like. Kinda zombie like in the beginning but were given the order by Saddler to destroy any intruder. Saddler basically had a hive mind thing going on with the Plaga. In RE5? LOL LET'S HAVE PLAGA AGAIN NO EXPLANATION OF HOW IT WORKS.

I agree and that's part of the reason I was playing more of Dead by Daylight. Definitely gave me another game to play with my friends. One of the main reasons I got a Switch was so I could get Pokemon Sword and Shield and I decided to get the Eevee/Pikachu Switch.

Okay, imo, the first one is the only one I personally find decent while the second and third have some good aspects to them. Apocalypse honestly did Nemesis surprisingly well, plus the minigun addition fit really well. Extinction had probably the best make-up and gore in the franchise. The rest shall not be mentioned, I also hade 0 idea that they switched from standard zombies to Las Plagas infected. So rev2 and RE6 takes place during the exact same time?

Well, if that's the case, HUNK deserves his retirement! Probably in a log cabin deep in the woods.

That's some serious DBD dedication! Although, if they had cross progression, I'd probably do the same. xD

Agreed, I enjoyed the first one and thought it was very good. Apocalypse did do a good job of Nemesis but I had a problem with him because granted it was Matt that was turned into Nemesis but we all know that Nemesis is a killing machine. Nemesis doesn't have feelings and wouldn't stop to recognize his buddy from the Hive. Extinction was pretty good for what it was frankly. I was extremely pissed about Carlos because I actually love the actor that portrayed him. Had the honor of meeting the man and he's very, very kind. But yeah, in Afterlife they shifted towards RE5 Las Plagas and just RE5 in general cause of the addition of the Executioner. Rev2 and RE6 aren't quite the same time. Rev2 is on the cusp of 6 cause at the end of Rev2 (not really a spoiler if you haven't played it) Claire is talking to someone at the BSAA about talking to Chris and she said "Oh, he's in China? Well tell Piers to keep an eye on Chris." So they are pretty close.

HUNK worked his butt off for Umbrella, the man deserves a break. Plus there is Vector and I guess you could count Lady HUNK but she only appeared in Revelations Raid Mode.

Yeeeeeeeeeeah, I had DbD on PC first so I could play with my sister since she doesn't have console. Then I got it for the console version for free from PS Plus so I played with friends on there and my buddy bought me the Switch version when we're both on the go, hahaha.

No, we don't speak of those live action movies. Yeah, when it comes to the RE8 leaks, I don't believe them or it could've been early story drafts. They just sound a bit too outlandish. RE5 is a action movie but RE6 is a big DUMB action movie. In my opinion, it also barley has any horror to it, like, at all. Won't lie though, it was awesome seeing a grown up Sherry.

HUNK is a complete badass, I'd for sure want him on my team! I wonder why they barley show or talk about him anymor? Too be fair though, sometimes it's best to leave some mystery's unsolved.

Oh ok, that's understandable. I can definitely agree on the feel of a console, just feels good with a controller in hand, plus, I wouldn't be used to PC at all now since I've been on console for so long.

Now to be fair, the first three weren't too bad but I hate how they just got so damn ridiculous after Extinction. When they began to include Las Plagas, I was thiking "HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?" but of course the director didn't want to focus on actual plot and just focus on his Mary Sue of a wife. I really am hoping they are story drafts that they were messing around with. It's sounding eerily similar to the Hook Man version of RE4. That is an excellent way to explain RE5 and RE6, I love it. Leon's campaign only had like some element of horror but it was poorly executed. Seeing Sherry grown up was amazing though. Really wished they had Claire in there too but of course the events of Revelations 2 prevented her from being in it pretty much.

HUNK is seriously the best though I think I read that he retired or something along those lines. I am not 100% sure but it would make sense though. HUNK really is an enigma so it makes sense to wonder where he is now ;D

I think that's another reason why I am not used to PC as much anymore. I'm more used to console with the controller and I even use a controller on my PC version of DbD. I have Dbd on PC, PS4 and Switch XD

Nemesis is the best! Yeah, RE7 is exactly what the series needed, definitely. Despite the fact that people don't like the switch to a fps angle rather than third. Did you hear the RE8 leaks? I personally believe it's a bunch of hogwash but that's just me. Yeah, RE5 is just basically playing a action movie with horror elements and that's fine, it's what they wanted from the game so, job well done there!

Are the cgi movies cannon? But yeah, it's super weird to see such a beefy character like Chris get so thinned out in a manner of months as well. The BIG thing is the umbrella situation, like you said, you'd think a guy like Chris would loathe the idea of any sorta umbrella company coming back and most definitely wouldn't work for them. Ok, did the original HUNK die or something?

I'm surprised you don't just stick with PC then! xD

I will admit that RE7 did not feel like a Resident Evil game. I felt the could have executed it better when it came to bringing everything full circle with the story. Hopefully they will go into more detail when RE8 comes out. For the RE8 leaks... I had to look it back up cause I forgot about it. I think I tried to block it from my mind but daaaaaaaaaaaaaaamnit, if it involves werewolves, I quit. I quit, I quit, I quit. I hope upon hope that it's BS and just a joke. You're right about RE5 playing out like an action movie with horror elements. The same can definitely be said about RE6 for sure. Leon's campaign was the best out of all of them frankly. Jake and Sherry's was ok but for Chris and Piers? Bruh, it was like a Call of Duty game.

CGI movies are absolutely canon and obviously the live action ones are not thank god. I shudder at the thought of the last three live action movies, UGH. You are absolutely right in regards of Chris having ANY ties with Umbrella. I'm sure he would die first before teaming up with anyone let alone the name Umbrella. Again, this is why I hope it gets rectified in RE8. HUNK is still alive but it's super understandable that Umbrella would make clones of HUNK because he is literally their best soldier. Went back for the G Virus like a damn boss.

Frankly, I love my console more. Yeah I grew up with computer games but I like the feel of console. Plus there are some PC games that don't have controller capability and using a keyboard kills my hands because of carpal tunnel. I still enjoy PC but console feels better.

My personal favorite tyrant has and always will be Nemesis, he's always looked like a complete badass but this time, he looks both badass and scary! I'll be honest, I technically believe ORC was my first RE game but it wasn't until Suzi(Sphere hunter) that I truly took the dive into the Resident Evil universe. I still find RE5 fun in that co-op action kinda way.

Oh yeah, I remember now, yeah, that was a HUGE debate going around during RE7! It was such a shock to see that but I can definitely see where you're coming from. Why is he so much different and more specifically, WHY does he now work for this new Umbrella? Despite their clams of "righting the wrong" they've done. Plus, we've seen clones in this franchise already so it's possible!

Huh, it's a absolute nightmare to deal with!

Nemesis is number one always. He definitely looks more terrifying in the remake which excites and scares me more. The series definitely needed to go back to it's horror roots with RE7 and the remakes, I am hoping that they will up their game more (no pun intended) when they release RE8 which they are working on right now. I think that's part of the reason of why RE3 was made by another studio. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed RE5 and I know that game like the back of my hand too. It was good for what it was definitely.

Cool! So you pretty much know what I'm talking about, that's good. Now if it wasn't for Resident Evil: Vendetta, I could slightly believe the change in character model but after watching Vendetta, I'm thinking "waaaaaaaaaait a minute, hold up. This isn't right. Don't pull the wool over my eyes." It absolutely makes no sense of why Chris would be working for Umbrella or ANY part of Umbrella since they were the ones that pretty much ruined his and everyone else's lives with the mansion and Raccoon City. It's the big reason that he's a main founder of the BSAA to wipe out bio-terrorism. So in short, HUNK clone. Boom, solved.

If I want to stream from my PS4 then yeah it's a bit of a hassle. With PC, no wires so that's helpful XD

  • Jack was terrifying. Move over, Mr. X cause Jack is the ultimate Tyrant πŸ˜† I love RE4 since it was my introduction to the series but I would have to say that RE2 is my favorite. I know RE4 like the back of my hand and know so many tips and tricks for it. It definitely was the first game to shift to more of action but that's not a bad thing. Now RE5 was trying to be like four and I think it was five that started the downfall of the series.

My friend, come with me and I will teach you the ways of Resident Evil. I know so much about it with lore, backstories, theories etc. So basically everyone (including Capcom) is saying that this Redfield guy is Chris but I call absolute BS on that. The Resident Evil: Vendetta movie actually took place a few months prior to the events of RE7. Chris's model compared to Redfield look nothing alike. People argue "well Leon and Claire's models for RE2 remake look completely different!" and tbh, Leon still looked pretty much the same and Claire did look a bit different but you could still tell it's Claire. Redfield? Nah, man. I am not buying it. Plus there are game files for HUNK in Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 where you can see his face. Granted they are kinda blurry because PS2 graphics but Redfield's face looks verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry similar to HUNK's, especially since this is supposed to be Umbrella in RE7. So I want to say it is HUNK or even a clone of HUNK. Umbrella can definitely pull that off.

    Ahhh, I still have to deal with wires, even when I have to set up for my streams ;;3;;

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1174228#Comment_1174228

Yeah, you're probably right. Plus, I'm talking incredibly recent, as in RE2 remake to this one because we still had some pretty loveable but cheesy lines up to, I'd probably say, RE4, especially the "bingo" line. I don't think RE5 has any standout lines like that but DEFINITELY standout moments... boulder punching...

That was most certainly the most interesting part about ORC. The fact that Umbrella actually had a team instead of, you know, HUNK and a couple of nameless goons was quite cool. Plus, the whole "what if" scenario was also a pretty interesting angle. Anything to do with HUNK is automatically awesome!

I completely forgot it can play PS1 games! Also yeah, it's a absolute shame the PS4 has zero backwards function but it's good to hear the PS5 will and hopefully the rumor is true that it can play PS1, 2, 3 and 4 games is true but that's super wishful thinking! Awesome, I'll send you a request once this is posted.

Ah this is very true, I see what you mean. I really wish they had more of the "Ada, wait!" in the RE2 remake. They only had Leon say "wait up" like once but I was thinking "nooooooooooooooooo i wanted Ada wait!" Plus RE4 was a treasure trove of amazing lines. Leon was just so quick witted in that game alone with "Your right hand comes off?" mwah, perfection.

I could see Umbrella hiring operatives to be part of a contingency plan just in case if crap hit the fan. It was really interesting to think about and definitely made for a pretty good spin off, not gonna lie. Perosnally, I think "Redfield" is HUNK. I've talked with a lot of people on it and they agree they think "Redfield" is HUNK.

    Yup! It was super nice when I could play my PS1 copy of Final Fantasy VII on my PS2 along with my PS3. I hope that PS5 will be the ideal console. I have hope ;;u;;

I completely agree but with the writing being, honestly, pretty damn good with recent instalments, I fear it may be cut. On the other hand, it might be too iconic toleave out.

Really, that's honestly not a good reason to hate on it. The bugs, glitches and story are good reasons though, despite the fact I still enjoyed the game, even I can admit the story was... pretty wonky. I also gotta be honest, I LOVED basically all the female characters while the males were "meh" to me... besides Vector, he's awesome.

... I'm incredibly disappointed by this news...

I'm jealous you have the og PS3 model, that thing is backwards compatible heaven! Hey, are you on PS4, because I'd love to try Resistance with others!

At least they improvised the Jill Sandwich quote in the remake of the first Resident Evil and I love how it was referenced in Revelations 2. So I am confident they will make the right decision to at least add in "I'll give you stars" quote.

I think it also involved the story and also the bugs and glitches of why a lot of people didn't like it. I thought it was a unique spin off and expanded on the Umbrella universe instead of just HUNK. The female wolf pack were awesome and some of the guys were meh but still enjoyable and yes, Vector is amazing. I think it helps that he is HUNK's protege that has something to do with it.

I actually have them downloaded on my PS3 cause they were in the Playstation Store at the time. Fun fact though, you don't need and OG PS3 to play Playstation One games, they are always going to be backwards compatible. I could do PS1 games on my 2 and 3 though I don't think it worked on my PS4 which is a shame. And sure, man! That would be awesome. My username is the same: Foxfire47

I know the stars line is cheesy as hell but I unironically love it and hope they have a equivalent to it in the remake. xD

Wow wait really, ORC wasn't Capcom made? Won't lie, when I was younger I enjoyed it gameplay wise, bugs and glitches included. Now, I don't know if I could play it. Please tell me Umbrella Corps was also outsourced! xD

Yeah, I hate having to hook up my Xbox original if I want to play Timesplitters future perfect.

Oh it's cheesy but it's absolutely perfect though πŸ˜‚ I seriously hope they keep it in.

And yes actually! ORC was outsourced and that's part of the reason why people didn't like it. I agree with you and love everything about that game, including the bugs and glitches. Four-Eyes is my go to agent mostly but I also love Vector.

Sadly, my friend, Umbrella Corps was not outsourced and Capcom is making that game canon, believe it or not. IT'S SO BAD.

Nice! Awesome game too! I have to hook up my PS3 to play the original Resident Evil trilogy.

Yeah, really the only couple things I saw from the og was, of course a few enemies, Jill and Nemesis, a certain characters death and Jill's "you want stars?" line. Hopefully this shows devs that outsourcing is alright, if supervised. I can't wait to see the battle damage on Nemesis over time!

I do plan on going back to play the originals but it's just a pain to hook up old consoles. :/

Ah yes, the stars line, classic πŸ’œ

They did outsource once and that was to do Operation Raccoon City (which I did actually enjoy) and a lot of people hated and got bad reviews. So that's why I was a little apprehensive but so far I'm impressed with RE3.

I feel your pain about hooking up consoles. Whoo boy, that's a process.

I never got to play the og RE3 so that might be why I'm more excited for this over RE2. Huh, I did see that they outsourced but hey, doesn't matter, still a great game so far. Maybe I was playing dumb but yeah, Nemesis LOVES to be in your face! xD

Oh then you are in a for a treat, my friend. Nemesis is a lot more relentless than Mr. X which is terrifying but i'm excited. Again, I had my doubts about the other studio but so far I am not disappointed and they've done a pretty good job so far *wink wink nudge nudge*

Sorry bad joke but definitely enjoy it when it comes out. The OG was good but this is going to be amazing.

Yeah, the demo proved to me that, they definitely still got it! I can't wait to see more of Raccoon City, it was beautiful in the demo alongside everthing else which also looked amazing. I thought that the western studio only worked on Resistance? And yeah, Nemesis whooped my ass, wasn't expecting him to be THAT tough!

Raccoon City looked amazing and I almost wished we could have explored it just a bit more in RE2 but since they are remaking 3, I am even more excited. I don't remember the name of the studio but I know that another one was working on RE3.

Nemesis wasn't too bad for me but he definitely likes to be in your face though πŸ˜†

If this is the first time I don’t recommend going further with killer because games where you feel useless and are forced to wait for survivors to make mistakes are so common at red ranks

Oh believe me, I do know this. Quite frankly, I prefer to stay in lower ranks so I don't have to deal with that crap. A few months ago, I wanted to be a red rank killer but after seeing people on the forums talking about it and watching my favorite streamers/youtubers dealing with it and I'm like "Nope, nevermind. Forget it."

I'm not going to lie, I can be a pretty decent killer and get a 4k almost every game but as I get just a teeny bit higher *boom* red rank bullies.

  • Oh I don't doubt it. That really does sound like hell. There have been a few games where I play as Killer and have seen survivors run No Mither and I just let them go because I know how much of a pain it is.

I have done that a few times where I wonder "How the heck did I make it out alive?" since I would fail almost every time too. I am glad you were able to get it done though.

It’s kinda the killer experience I was just so surprised that everyone on my team was also yellow rank

This is true but this was the first killer game where I was severely bullied like that. This was also the match I was trying to get a Doctor Challenge done. Matchmaking is so broken that it's not even funny anymore.

  • I had a match yesterday where I was rank 12 and I was being bulled by four SWF red ranks with three flashlights and a toolbox. Love this game sometimes. πŸ‘οΈ

  • I don't think that's a bad idea since it's been awhile since we've had a BP event. I bought four new killers yesterday since they were on sale and in dire need to level them up so I can really play them. Besides, we just had a new killer come out and it would be a great idea to do a BP event.

  • I'm a huge Resident Evil fan and after playing the demo, I am even more pumped for this remake. As much as I loved the Resident Evil 2 remake, I feel Resident Evil 3 remake is going to be a bit better since you are going to travel around Raccoon City. I was doubtful at first since I saw that another studio was going to be working on it but the demo proved me wrong. It's exciting, it keeps me on edge, the ambiance terrifies me which I love and everyone looks great, Nemesis included. I was terrified of Mr. X but Nemesis, whooooo boy.

The fun bit of trying to get the no mither challenge done, is when you face an Oni. You are just free blood orbs all the time for them. Like woot, you might of just screw over your whole team by trying to get it done during a match with an oni, due to having the worst luck in the world.

Oh man, my condolences. That sounds extremely painful. I still haven't completed that one.

  • Run Small Game and start paying attention to where totems are. Once you start seeing the patterns on where they are usually, you can take off Small Game and run another perk you like to use. Even though totems are random, they do have a pattern on where they spawn. If there is still NOED? Welp, get your butt in gear to the exit gates and learn how to hide.

I know for certain i am not the only one who feels this way as the challenges seem to promote certain play styles we as players don't find fun for either side at all to play or play against. It also seems to be a case where certain challenges involve you playing x amount of matches to get it completed which could eventually be seen as boring.

I'd be interested in seeing how the Tome Challenges would be if you could complete multiple or even make progress on multiple at once. Similar to Fortnite for example in that game you can complete multiple challenges in one game thus progress through the Battle Pass faster.

I feel that being able to complete multiple challenges at once would create less of a grind and potentially more fun as you would be able to even do more objectives than usual. For example as survivor you could play Jane, complete 1 Gen using Poised, Stun the Killer as Jane and Escape with Jane. If you managed to do all that then you would have 3 challenges done in one match thus 3 less challenges to consider doing.

I played for about 6-7 hours yesterday and I managed to finish two or three challenges and it took me about an hour to try and get the challenge of "kill all four survivors as the doctor" but didn't get it. I had to stop doing it because I was getting frustrated and I had one match where all red rank survivors were bullying me with flashlights the whole match (I'm hovering between rank 11-12).

Even when I was doing some of these challenges without trying to get the goal at the end, it still felt grindy. Some of the earlier challenges aren't too bad but for level 4, they are very frustrating especially the "Complete in a single trial".

Don't get me wrong, I actually enjoyed playing Survivors/Killers I don't usually play but if you're still not used to their play style, these challenges are a pain. David's were tough even when I was playing with another friend. No Mither challenge? Get out of here with that. You are basically putting a target on your back with that perk. Now if the challenges were kinda like the daily rituals, then they wouldn't be so bad.

I took the survey they put out about the archives. I doubt BHVR will listen to the surveys like they did with Ruin but we'll see. I do agree that it should be more fun and less grindy, especially since I do spent $10 for the extras in the Rift.

Honestly probably the best $4 i've spent on this game. Ghostface and Spirit are probably the best DLC Killers hands down. I love Ghostface because you can play a lot differently than Chase, Hit, Chase, Hit while being looped. I love that you can have no TR, hit someone, let them run off and heal, find someone else, hit them and then try and find people healing and get quick downs, I also rarely use Stalk and when i do it's mostly because they are way out in the open and i know i can hit them but even then i still rarely use it. You could take Stalk away from Ghostface and it would be an issue to me at all.

As this Killer i genuinely feel like i am the Power Role because even against high rank players i still have a chance at winning and thats what this game needs more of. Viable Killers.

I've played 4 games today in a row with Ghostface and had roughly the same results each time 4 man 5 gen, 4 man 4 gen and nothing lower as well as 2 pips each time.

I really hope this Killer does not get nerfed because honestly him and Spirit are probably the last bit of fun i have in this game, taking that away from me i may just need to consider moving on to other games.

Thanks, man. I really appreciate it! I was a bit apprehensive at first cause I know this community can be toxic at times but I took a chance and glad I did. I love helping people on here and giving them advice on certain things. Gives me a good feeling when I can help πŸ˜ƒ

  • Apparently πŸ˜…

  • Pretty sure Jake is Korean or half. Could be that his mother is Korean and father is American and grew up in America.

  • I despise Backwater as Killer AND Survivor. I also do not like Haddonfield or Springwood for Killer and Survivor as well.

    Who?

Also, you didn't even make a poll

She was the girl who sold her bath water and was all over game news sites because of it last year.

  • Bring in a mori and tunnel. The others go free except for her.

Otherwise no. The game will literally implode.

  • Just don't quit. Yeah they can be frustrating but you're also losing out on bloodpoints too? Gives you a chance to learn from these games too. Don't like it? Sorry, take the DC penalty.

  • While I could agree that Demo needs a teeny weeny buff with portals, he does take quite a bit of time and skill to play. He is actually amazing when you get him down and he's pretty balanced. I became a Demo main after he has been released and find him to be a challenging but rewarding killer at the same time. He's fantastic with gen pressure and ending pesky chases. Having the right perks and the right add ons make Demo deadly to go against. I usually get 3k-4k with Demo every game. Practice, practice, practice, my dude. That's all I gotta say. Demo is a good boy.

  • I eat the DS, get it over with so if I manage to get them down again near the endgame I don't have to worry about it. Now if it's endgame and I know they still have DS and I down them, then I will slug.

No worries. I couldn't find any review on the site and wanted to hear from anyone in the community if they got it. I appreciate you taking the time to answer!
