It's a frustrating situation for sure. Trying to be a good killer and not being gross. They kind of force you into a situation where you have to be cheap. They'll probably complain that you were tunneling or camping at the end and teabag you some. Maybe flashlight click you for good measure. It's really lose lose.

Well in my experience i can count the times i died againts a blight with one hand.. maybe i didn't have the pleasure to face a good blight but here in my region they all get gen rushed before they can do something. Not many people pick blight either, only after this j flick becoming popular i have seen a few more.
I faced some using the flick in rank 1 and i still could predict them very well most of the times. The less skilled survivors had problems though 😅. In general they do slightly better but i don't find it broken like some people paint it. Thats why im not againts it.
What did this add to the conversation besides pointless and baseless bragging?

Sorry, Im not sure what you mean?
I don't think they were speaking in riddles or rhymes, nor was it some sort of cryptic phrasing, you're being willfully ignorant of the situation. I for one did watch the video, I'm also a killer main and I do use Blight. The devs gave this killer an outstanding amount of speed, to counter this so he wasn't as oppressive the devs added hurdles in controlling him. Jflicking basically just steps over those implemented hurdles and says, "naw I'm not going to play the character as intended." Not only that but console players don't have access to this ability in turn making it a tool-assisted exploit. I would say it's cheating. At the end of the day, a cheats a cheat.

It also is so very clearly my aim being bad that i can't even blame it on it being a weak killer 😅
I REALLY wish they have a cross hair for console players.

Yeah if it was a solid match, since I'm on console I'll swing by the stream and say GG or tell them they did a good job. Actually when I play killer or survivor I like to reach out to folks and let them know they did a good job or if they did something that was astounding. Its just frustrating on console since we don't have a post game chat.

Theres no fun facing red ranks killers tryhards anymore to me. Its just tunneling , tunneling, camping, facecamping. Dont say "its a strategy" no, its just a selfish behaviour that have no interest except yours. I cant stand it, games after games, always the same, or worst.
I just made a second account to be resetted at ranks 20, and it was already more fun even if playing with potatoes
Dont complain players are leaving the game when you make everything to push them out
I'm tired of playing against swf red rank survivors. I'm not even a red rank killer and I get slotted with them all the time. 9 times out of 10 this happens.

I was going back in between gate to gate after the last gen gets done, leave one of the them to glimpse at the other, and the gate is open with claudette tbagging like she actually did something.
No faster progression perks were used and it took her 15 seconds.
Gate speeds are too fast, gen speeds are too fast, and killers cant do anything.
And dont tell me to bring perks that slow progression, because that is why everyone brings the same four perks every game.
In other words, something must be done.
I agree. I think a big problem is that gates can be 99%. They should start to degrade when they take their hands off of them to force them to be opened.

Yeah he needs a buff to carry more traps. To that point that corrupt intervention is kinda of required.

It drives me crazy as I play console and I see good survivor or killer play and I can't say anything to them.

I agree. It absolutely drives me up the wall when people let themselves die on hook when they are face camped. Like jeez when i get face camped it makes me mad when people try and make the save when they could just blast out gens. Just do gens.

Depends how stupid your team is.
If you lead a killer on a chase for over 1 minute and zero gens get done, just to see them all thirsting for the unhook points that they will clearly do in the killers face. Why should you reward it and stick around?
This drives me crazy. Like when I'm hooked and the killer camps and not a single gen pops. Like I'm more than happy to just hang on the hook while that happens. Or if I'm running the killer around and they are busy contemplating life or some such. Just please do gens.

My Trapper has the Krampus outfit.
I know it's a holiday thing but nothing else really appeals to me he does seem to get over looked for a lot of things from cosmetics to meaningful updates ect,
Oni's Minatour is still my favorite outfit but most killers have some good stuff
Yeah Oni isn't really my jam, but yeah his Minotaur outfit kinda makes me want to use him for sure.
-
Well no you don't. But it's frustrating seeing folks know where my traps are and dodging them. Makes me think, hmm clearly i needed to place that better.

Having said that I had 10 survivor games in a row last night with at least one DC or hook suicide against a whole host of killers even trickster!
Seems to be on the rise past few weeks
I'm a killer main (I do play a lot of survivor) and I've messed with Trapper in the past, but I'm really into his game play. I love the amount of strategy. Using my survivor knowledge to think, hmmmm, if I was a survivor where would I not expect a trap. It's so satisfying to hear them go snap. I just wish he would get some solid cosmetics. Like he has the Krampus one, but that's kinda holiday dependent. I do like that he has a My Bloody Valentine cosmetic. Being set in Nova Scotia and all.

They don't DC because it's a Trapper, they DC because they are childish and the game is not going the way they want. I've never had more DCs with a specific killer. It happens when I play Spirit, it happens when I play Myers.
I've actually had a 4 DC match recently when I played Wraith because I was snowballing quite a lot (team refused to heal and stayed grouped up).
Yeah I actually had the same thing happen while playing Wraith. Mind you I semi feel like the Wraith buffs maybe had pushed him to be a tad oppressive sometimes.

I had one trapper that had that iridescent add on where you get injured disabling the traps. So he just trapped places where there was no other way to go but through the trap. Safe to say everyone got injured and died quickly. I wouldn’t DC but hook suicide is the next best thing. Usually if you can tell a killer is good and on top of that they use an iridescent add on the match is pretty much over lol
Naw, Trapper's iridescent add ons are on the weaker end of iridescent. Survivors have tool boxes and brand new parts and flashlights that basically function as lighthouses. Like yes they can be frustrating for sure. But to be fair the Trapper can only carry one trap at a time, unless they have an add-on. Like his set up is super restrictive.

All I can remember was getting super frustrated while also having a heart attack versing Ghost Face. I haven't done it since since I try to always respect my teammates and the killer. Though, if I'm on the hook and everyone is just crouched in a bush, I'll not struggle if I get to second stage.
Oh know I understand. Honestly Myers is the killer that still gives me jump scares from time to time and those are actually the absolute high points when I play the game. Honestly I wish they would do what Home Sweet Home does and gives survivors more of a limited field of view just so we can get more of those jump scares.

Ahh yes make an absurd request no one would ever do.
Anyways, i generally don't run BT. And survival rate doesn't mean anything. You can still survive and depip. You can double pip and die as well.
You are grossly exaggerating odds of dying unhooking. You sound like a new survivor player
Just have egc activate after last hook. Done.
And nothing drives me more insane than when either the person pulling me off the hook doesn't have barrowed time or won't heal me at the spot. If I'm pulling people off the hook on either packing barrowed time or for the people to get them outta there alive.

Welcome to DBD
But what exactly do you want the dev to do? Delete the hatch? Yeah and watch how fast the survivor pbase drops(again).
In my experience, if there's 2 people left and youre on the hook, you're getting camped and the killer isn't too far away. It actually makes zero logical sense for anyone with half a brain to come save you unless they're heavily prepared for a camping killer and/or just a camping/tunnel situation in general. People call this "overly immersed", but I actually consider it to be common sense.
Lotta people screaming bad player, when in fact its self preservation(no pun intended).
There's so many people in here turning a blind eye to actual survival game logic. Because very VERY rarely does getting that unhook actually matter, because youre going to get slugged and then the killer is going to hunt me down because i'm obviously somewhere near.
Yeah. I personally take a key in a lot of games. Why? Because solo players are terrible. But I typically take mine for aura reading so I can AVOID the killer, and AVOID running the killer into survivors doing gens. However, If i do take a key or I find one.. I will locate the hatch first and then come get you. If you see someone teabag the hatch, point, drop and pick up and Item... PAY FREAKING ATTENTION. the amount of stupid survivors i get teamed against who don't take the hint that I have a key GET OVER HERE is higher than Snoop.
However, The situation everyone keeps describing is the same. "dude left me behind" um, yeah...That's gonna happen, a lot. So stop complaining, since the behavior that is the cause of these types of actions is based on what the killer is -actually- going to do. Not what your hopes and dreams aspire to. Then its the same suggestion: delete hatch. man gtfo people
If i unhook you and we are the only two survivors left, the odds of us both dying are 95% or higher. I love how people are mad at logic in this game. Yall want someone to Leroy Jenkins you off the hook, i get it. Stop expecting it. If there's 2 of you left and you get hooked, you're dead. Put the salt back in the Morton's container and save it for someone who actually deserves it. Yall are a mess.
Unless the gates are open, I'm not saving you unless i have BT or Bottled Time.. which most of you won't even take the Protection hit if I do run one or both. You have 3 options. Play SWF, deal with it like the rest of us, or play something else.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2109305#Comment_2109305
I want you to do me a favor. I want you to record your next 25 games, and i want you to be one of the last 2 people standing, and I want you to specifically not have BT, and I want you to save the other person. Please provide all uploads so we can see your survival ratio. It will be next to zero unless youre playing in a SWF. This has been a FACT of Dead By Daylight.
The Hatch has to be there, or when 3 players die, EGC will never activate until a generator is done. Thus leaving a stalemate, like it used to be before EGC became a thing. I'm sick of seeing people complaining without any coherent suggestions to fix these.. "problems" when the problem is actually unfixable because of how either the killer is going to act or other survivors are going to act.
I agree 100% if not maybe a touch antagonistic. But you're very right. People need to read the room.

Nah that makes sense. But do you deliberately not fix gens just to find the hatch, and camp there until your team die? Or do you attempt to save so the both can try and at least fix the last remaining gens? 🤔 cos I know I've got left behind on, so if I try for the save and they're some how hooked to the point their obviously going to die then il go and find the hatch, at least I've not kept my team hanging there just because I personally couldn't be bothered and wanted to just be more interested to escape?
This is really a symptom of a bigger issue, hook awareness. Like some survivors get hooked at the start and DC right away. Like if I ever hey hooked and we have a full team I'll take my lumps and hang there. I scream at my TV, do God damn gens! Like if the killer is around I'm basically buying us time. But if we're losing and I'm ok the hook I have enough sense to read the room and kill myself so at least one of us can escape. People just need to read the situation. If we have two gens and there is two of us and we're both of death hook, like let's be honest with ourselves, we're not finishing two gens and doing the door. More likely I'm going in for the save, going to get hit and we both die.
-
@EvilJoshy said:
If the gens aren't done and there's 2 survivors left. You pretty much lost at that point and the hatch is like a last chance thing. If 2 people are dead, I'm on the hook and the killer is chasing the 4th. At that point I just give up so they can try to find the hatch cause no one else is escaping at that point.
But yeah. It is annoying with randoms who give up and hide. Hoping you will be found first so they can grab the hatch.
Thank you! I hate when I've worked my ass off during the match and my other team mates clearly made poor life choices and died. Now it's just me and one other person. More folks need to be selfless and die to at least give the person not on the hook a chance. If I or they find the hatch, I see it as a partial victory for the both of us. Sacrifice is always appreciated and i usually message them. Unless they're on PC as I'm on console. I wish we have a thank you option.
-
@SammiieK1991 said:
Swear everytine it gets to the final 2 on most matches and I'm hooked the other survivor never bothers to save me but does infact find the hatch and waits for me to die.
Is that how the game works now? Or have I missed the whole idea of the game completely? Wouldn't be too bothered if the killer was teabagging but he literally run off the opposite way to where this particular survivor was, the survivor would of known that running kindred himself as well. So what's the deal? Is that the correct way to play or am I missing the purpose?
It drives me insane when people who are hooked and we have 3 or 2 gens left and they just hang there. Like you know and I know we're not getting out of here. If you die and allow the hatch to spawn at least one of us can escape. Am I on crazy pills or does this not make sense?
-
What's disrespectful are matches that you get stomped and you open the gate yourself and the survivors run to the other gate and you ignore it. Then they go to the nearest pallet or window or locker and start slamming them to try and draw your attention. Like when a killer opens the door take a hint. I think it's evident, just get the hell out. I'm done. It's actually really insulting.

When I'm on someone getting off hook, even if I am pretty sure they don't have Decisive or Borrowed Time, I will let them go in favor of uninjured, unhooked survivor. And in the endgame I will purposely leave hooked survivors because I will feel like a dick for camping them. Am I being too nice? Am I handicapping myself?
You are. I try and show sportsmanship, something that is dearly lacking in the community, and what do I get? Tbagged and flashlight licked at. When someone dc's or someone lets themselves just die i always try and go easy on the team. Like they don't get that. I try my best not to camp, but if survivors are throwing themselves at the hook I need to do something. It's always in the back of my mind that I don't wanna be gross. The main thing I want to express to survivors...just dont be seen. Like a lot of killers won't camp if you dont make your unhook so blatant.
-
- Alerts to survivors/killers letting them know thumbs up after matches, or if folks are displease, console doesn't have post game chat so something would be nice. When I play killer I wanna know if I did a good job, from the survivors opinions. I also would like to know from the killer if I played survivor well.
- Please do something for devotion levels. Maybe a neat cosmetic for killer and survivor, one piece for any killer or survivor.
- More communication between Behavior and the community. Keeps us in the know. There is nothing to lose by letting us know.
-
I guess my counter to Blight being op is that if you think Blight is op, then Legion is very op as they can leap windows and pallets and it's shut down by loops that Blight has issues with.

There have been so many. I like to give compliments to sick Survivor players as long as they don´t come with "ez" or I should kill myself etc. Often times after good matches I like to chat with them for a bit. I´ve helped people out with tips etc and I was helped greatly (sometimes either pittied or respected for my choice of Killer).
A match I´ll propably remember for a long time was against 4 Dwelfes on Ormond around christmas time. This was back when it was possible to switch Killers in lobby, so seeing them I switched to Santa Clown (srsly I have too many Clown skins...).
Needless to say it was one of the funniest matches ever. I don´t even remember the Kill ratio, but post game they asked why I had come after them, they didn´t want to be my slaves in the Christmas factory anymore etc :D
Few moments stick out for me, I just really enjoy the company of DBD players that aren´t so salty, bitter and aggressive. It´s nice to see that these increase :)
No such thing as having to many Clown costumes.

Yeaaaah that's how i got their adept. I didn't throw a single knife. Using his power is a time sink. It takes a lot less time to just m1 them. I see no benefit to using their power. Like you could hit them from a distance, but his spread makes it nearly impossible to hit anything. I'm sure some folks are getting varying success with his power but i personally find it a hindrance.

I know I made a post saying I was done with DBD, but sadly as conflicted as I am I don't think I'll ever be able to quit this game. It's just I've put so much time and stressful grinding into this game, and me turning my back on it just makes me feel like I'm a quitter. But since I'm still stuck with DBD, I'm gonna start changing my views towards the game.
I don't want to think about the bad balancing decisions, I'll talk about it on here but when I'm playing the game I'd rather not think about it. If I like an outfit that I see in the store, then I'll just buy it. Pretty much want to support the cosmetic team, because not gonna lie that new Clown outfit is pretty good. I just want to be happy when I'm playing DBD, and I don't normally get butthurt about losing because it's gonna happen in a video game. Also I simply refuse to level up all the survivors to level 50 with every single perk, probably won't bother doing this until perk tiers are maybe gone. I'll just stick to the survivors I enjoy playing, also Kate is bae af.
I'm pretty much starting a new relationship with DBD, and hopefully this one will keep me positive. I still do rather well at the game as both survivor and killer especially with how bad bugs and the servers are. Even though I won't be quitting the game, breaks are still definitely gonna be a thing for me. Because I can't really sit down and play DBD every day like I used to two years ago, plus I like playing other games. It's 2021 and this is a year of positivity for me, I want to be happy and just play all sorts of new games and go back to games in my backlog.
I will agree with you as a Clown main, the new outfit is siiiiick. I snapped that up right away!

Words of wisdom. It drives me insane when people get hooked and let themselves die. I know its not fun, but it's giving a gift to the team. Thats like 2 mins or so of unfettered access to gens. When i get face camped i take my lumps and WANT folks to work on gens. I'm a killer main and I would never face camp for this reason. It make no sense and I get no points. Not to say that I won't be skulking around, but never face camping.

It doesn't cut down on anything. You just have to play against him the same way you would play against an oni with his power (which is super fun). Removing the J-Flick would completely kill him from being used in comp, blight without it is good but not against sentient survivors (without J-Flicks). If BHVR nerfs this like they did billy. I might actually quit the game. If they keep nerfing the killers that are balanced and fun for both sides I'm actually going to lose my mind.
I hate when people say "if this happens I'll quit the game" This is a LOT of folks go to as a threat. I wish people would stop grandstanding and making empty threats and just do it already.
