The forums are where killers come to complain and be toxic while in the actual match and post game chat is where survivors do their complaining and be toxic.
-
So everyone is basically of the mindset that with any of these changes, it'll just screw over SWF's and their queue time so we should leave things as they are with the killer continuing to be the only one that's screwed with an unknown disadvantage placed upon them.
Maybe a way to get around that argument, make a killer perk or offering that lets you change loadout + offering mid-match.
For example, let's say you bring a basic build or some meme build expecting a normal game but then you start going against coordinated body blocking with hook sabos, flashlights, and someone using Breakout or some For The People / Soul Guard shenanigans; basically anything that is highly improbable for Solo's. Well, switch to a different preset load out of 4 perks and offering mid-match to stand a better chance against an SWF. Or is this too unfair for the coordinated voice communicating 4stack to deal with against the solo killer player?
No dealing with longer queue times or lobby dodging this way. Basically some kind of implementation of a feature like this in a way that won't screw over Solo's, like no switching to a Mori mid-match (even though survivors can still find keys mid-match).
-
I just sigh loudly while thinking how garbage and pathetic they are to need some free handout hooks and kills, often times with me dying to NOED on first hook. I feel I am allowed to think this way since I consider myself a killer main that never uses NOED and it should only be used against SWF shenanigans.
-
I've never been called one but I definitely am one, all I do is hack survivors up with my sword all day while playing as Pyramid Head.

I wouldnt mind, if I could equip the perks I like that are already unlocked on other character tho. I dont play the same characters because I like only them. :^)

You both dont understand that I talk about grinding the same perks for more than 20 characters.
I hear what you're saying. I agree though, there should be some kind of system where all perks are unlocked for all survivors. Maybe once you reach 50, perks from your most used Survivor are shared to all your other 50's. Until then though, I can't be bothered to use anyone else but Kate, Cheryl, and Yui. I still end up buying skins I like even if it's for survivors or killers I never use.

BHVR sure is going to be sad.

An appropriately sized gen for an appropriately sized Jane to hide -behind-.

I guess it's safe to say you didn't have fun and your match was.... Ruined.
Best way to avoid this is never cleanse ruin. I can guarantee if you didn't try to cleanse ruin, this would never have happened. It's called Ruin for a reason, it'll ruin your experience if you destroy it.
-
Sounds fun, you trying to escape your hardest while the anxiety of the killer getting ever closer screws you up until you either escape or die.

What about that skin that won the contest?
Hopefully it comes with all the effects they had in the video and color variations.

Get rid of bloodlust during chase and give killers bloodlust 3 outside of chase/while traversing the map. 👌
-
-
Killer for solo play and difficult challenging fun.
Survivor if friends are online or easier fun.
-
That's how it goes. The ultimate pussy move of talking crap and then leaving before the person can respond, this goes for all online games.
-
His ranged attack needs to properly follow terrain; going up/down a hill, etc.
-
This image sums up all Deathslingers, imo.
No One Escapes Deathslingers
-
Sharp turns out of line of sight into a vault or pallet that he can't see whether you use it or not. Or make it seem like you're running past a pallet but then come back and drop it on him, this depends on his reaction time though. Also a slight incline upwards and his power won't travel up, like the school bus vault from the back window. Also the staircases on Hawkins again because of inclines going up or because there's no ground that connects the different rail sections.
I do feel his power should travel up hills and such, it's ######### that it sticks to a 180 degree path and goes under their feet if they're on a hill or something.
-
Both sides played, prefer killer. Usually do survivor if my friend is on to play with. If I'm solo, then maybe it's something like 80% killer / 20% survivor. If friend is on, then like 90% survivor / 10% killer while streaming it.
-
I don't see how anyone thinks PH is bad, he's especially good at pallets and vaults that aren't immediately after a sharp turn. I guess it's better people think he's bad, that way he gets buffed like Bubba someday.
-
lol
Even though this is funny, I'm gonna agree. It's amusing for the first few times but I'm sure for a Billy main it'll get tiring and annoying very quick. Could be worse, could be a stun with power recharge after every single power use.
Anyway yea, get rid of that gurgling battlecry every chainsaw sprint.
-
Ideally I'd like to go for a 12 hook game, but gens don't allow for that. You can try to be fair so everyone gets a good amount of game time but then in the post game chat, they like to act like they're tough ######### because all 4 escape when you're playing nice and going for max hooks. Alternating hooks between the same 2 people is a good way to win and also avoid "tunneling".
-
Fare thee well, good sir. Maybe play some good single player story driven games to get away from the toxicity of multiplayer games.
-
The only add-ons I use on him are range. The only other thing I wish he had were add-ons that made his ranged attack fire off quicker or made the recovery time quicker after shooting off a ranged attack.
-
It should definitely be added, it's already possible to currently tell via friends lists, just saves the hassle of having to check like that.
As far as taking SWF as an opportunity to get better at the game, yea sure that opportunity can be taken by the game indicating they are a premade.
While true that if premades are shown, even if they're a premade full of potatoes, the killer would either dodge or go in with appropriate perks to better handle the shenanigans they expect to face. As it currently is though, premades basically being hidden is yet another thing in favor of and something that gives advantage to the SWF, on top of their many other advantages they already have; whether they're potatoes or not.

Can survivors get a matchmaking option to not have to play against NoED, Face Camping, Mori's or Tunneling? And then throw in a matchmaking option to get rid of Keys, Decisive Strike, and Borrowed Time for killers. You know... let's just throw out the whole 'matchmaking' thing altogether, and just have everybody play against bots.
Literally nothing changes for the survivors, it just saves the hassle of having to check everyone's steam friends. Keep your keys and your perks, keep your instant voice comms and time efficiency gained from knowing the killers location at all times. You still get to keep your M1 holding uninterrupted until you get your advanced notice when the killer is heading in your direction.
As if the easier side to play loses anything in being displayed as a premade in comparison to the solo killer handicapped by stacking coordinated perks and information relayed on the survivor team.
-
They should just show in the lobby the people that are playing together, the premade, same way Overwatch would do it. That way the killer knows what he's getting into and can use an appropriate loadout. They already have their communication and perk advantage that was never balanced around for, the killer should atleast be prepared for it.
-
-
Gotta love when you kill them all yet they talk crap to you and say they're better than you and "how did you even get to rank 1?". Definitely by doing a lot more than holding M1 when not in a chase.
-
It's a bit disappointing when people don't use their cakes. Fairest thing would have been that only those that offer a cake are affected by cakes.
-
In response to the title, mori's can be removed from the match by dc'ing during the loading screen thus preventing them from ever being used. Next obstacle, remove keys from being able to be found in chests during matches.

A killer being nerfed doesn't mean he's balanced now.
Are keys balanced? they got nerfed too.
The title: Talks about Spirit and Freddy not having received any nerfs.
My response: Reminds of Spirits and Freddy's most recent nerfs to show there have been nerfs.
Neither in the title or my response does it ask for balance or strictly specify the nerfs only to do with balance, much less anything to do with keys.

But that doesn't fix the problem. Ormond was """nerfed""" but look at it now. It's still completely broken. Just because there was a nerf to something doesn't mean it was the right one. Spirits problem is only exacerbated by her add-ons. Spirits problem is there is no actual way to counter the power other than hoping she screws up. Freddy requires absolutely zero skill to play and has some of the best anti-loop in the game. You place a snare and they either give you the pallet or you hit them. There's not a loss in that scenario.
I agree with your points 100%, I just wanted to remind everyone of their most recent nerfs so that everyone doesn't think they are without nerfs. Well, atleast it took them 4 years for Billy's time to come and not 2 weeks after release.
-
Spirit was already nerfd with prayer beads and collision, Freddy was already nerfd with his forever Freddy build/add-ons.
-
Billy lives for the chainsaw rush, don't judge him.
-
After the first 30 seconds, the survivors are locked in for characters, perks, items, etc; the last 30 seconds the killer finishes prepping.
-
I've had a few instances of lunges just being short swings on PH, also my ranged attack would auto aim to a survivor right in my face (body blocking) instead of the one I was actually aiming for ahead of me. This was before the hotfix though. I had a feeling this topic would be about PH before I even clicked into it.
-
The way to buff him is like your name says, just have him get a built-in NOED since that's the perk that all Deathslingers rely on and always use. This buff will allow him to use the perk slot for a different perk.
-
Had over 100 on Pyramid Head but been using them to P3 survivors.
-
Killer: Pyramid Head / Doctor
Survivor: Kate / Cheryl / Yui
-
Just start using him and have fun. Get good with using his shocks to deny vaults and pallets, long range shock addon along with the fast activation time addon for the shocks is always good for this. Lots of good builds on him but you can use some typical M1 killer perks on him like Corrupt since you'll easily find people in the beginning with his aoe blast, STBFL, Pop, and whatever other perk you wanna use.
-
As usual, the trash players that play like scum because they wanna tunnel and camp ruin a killer for the rest of us that don't.
-
I didn't even really use the cages like 90% of the time, I would just keep everyone tormented to see them easier because of the barbed wire and also to final judgement them on their death hook. Only in the very late game is when I would usually use cages when there's only like 2 survivors left. I've been using BBQ and Pop a lot for the points and gen regression and it's been working out for me with plenty of wins. Cages aren't as needed as much as everyone seems to think.
-
I don't mind so much not being able to see the cage, if anything, the only change I would like is that when survivors are tormented only the caged should have the torment removed and not the uncager too.

Not with cause. Ppl abuse playing killers just as much as they do survivors.
I agree entirely in the case of swf f them.
But the point of balance is that playing both should be equally fun. Killers HAVE A HUGE advantage because they have their own powers. Just like annoying survivors use flashlights and tool boxes killers use their moris.
Balance should be that if you use skill
Killing/surviving should be even. As survivors should not be able to survive playing without skills killers should not be able to get 3-4ks without skills.
The point of the perks is to heighten parameters of certain characteristics=speed, slowing down the match, etc...
And developing builds that are custom to your play style.
Your argument is one sided. I agree there is a problem as in the case with swf but that is EASILY RECTIFIED by not giving them access to all level 3 perks unless they actually have them for that character (in which case fair game-same for killer btw=balance)
The topic is about why no one wants to play killer, the main side you're gonna see here are from people who prefer killer and reasons why this topic was even created. I agree with you about the skill and what not with solos, but unless an option is added to not go against premades or there was a way to be made aware you were going against a premade so you can perk up and addon up accordingly, holding M1 and running in circles is miles easier than having to manage the actions of 4 other people.
I unfortunately don't like to use mori's or noed as it feels scummy; I also try not to slug, tunnel, or camp as I feel bad for the person and they might be an innocent solo. I play plenty of survivor to know what it's like to be on the receiving end of all those things.
Oh well, it is what it is. That's about all I have to say in regards to this.

i will emphasize that i dont agree with you.
Swf is unfair
But survivor gameplay has been NERFED a lot already. I say this with the exception of swf survivors whom of course are toxic af but if you guys want actual survivor gameplay more difficult then it already is (excluding swf=screwed up) then you guys want a much easier match that doesnt require any skill from you.
Toolbox repair speed had been nerfed
Even with a red piece one toolbox will not guarantee you 1 generator
Group repair speed has been nerfed
Group repair speed with a toolbox has been nerfed
Healing speed has been nerfed
Not fast enough to catch a survivor (excluding ACTUALLY HAVING SKILL AND USING PERKS TO MAKE YOU FASTER) its cool just keep chasing the survivor until you get your bloodlust bonus speed.
The game at the moment (it didnt always) favors killers over survivors as it is.
The only ######### thing is SWF groups because they are coordinated. This ALSO negatively affect survivors who play future matches with survivors that are only good when feeding intel to their friends via group chat.
While you may not agree, all those things you mentioned that were "nerfd" were done so with just cause. Compare any of those things with their counterparts of the past and it can easily be seen why. All these "nerfs" have really done is just -reduce- the levels of broken imbalance survivors have had in their favor since the beginning to a more manageable level. Add in SWF to the mix and all those things from before were definitely fully taken advantage of.

My favorite map for both sides as I have fun with it and enjoy being in the world of Silent Hill.
-
There's 4 ways to get to the 2nd floor, each corner has a way to go up or down. One is the bathroom that needs to be broken by the killer in order to use though.
-
Clearly, the only solution is to make the amount of SWF = the amount of killers in the trials. 2 swf gets 2 killers, 3 gets 3, 4 gets 4. 4 survivors vs 4 killers in a trial, 4 vs 4 with communication on both sides and 16 perks on both sides. This is the fairest and most balanced solution possible.
