The only way I've ever made Leatherface even halfway decent is with his speed add-ons to sprint at Survivors with the Chainsaw...but even then if it's a certain map or the Survivors loop/juke the Chainsaw well enough then you're just stuck to basic hits. At LEAST every other Killer has a decent ability that isn't at such a detriment

I know what add-on combo you're talking about (The Beast Marks + Knife Scratches) and its basically the only viable combo to down Survivors with when it comes to the chainsaw.

He can use Billys best combo (Carburetor Tuning Guide + Primer Bulb) for faster charges to break pallets faster... BUT... its out-shined by the combo above AND only works when literally no pallets or windows are around to use it.

Both combos can also only be used when no pallets or windows are around but the first one is the only one that can really catch up to Survivors.

In short, with such good add-ons that Billy has, Z E R O of them are actually of use to Leatherfaces current situation.

I play him a lot without resorting to basement builds. It doesn't end well for me. 😥

Hes needs a massive change to his add-ons and tweaks to his power.

If anything they need to change some things like his cool-down when you stop charging your chainsaw mid-charge.

And they also need to fix his unique add-ons, since Chili and Award-Winning Chili do zero, nada, zilch to base Leatherface. If anything they hinder him more than help him with the penalty it gives with no benefit.

A mod actually confrimed the agressor here was Detective in the discord chat logs, it seems they were not happy in a game and initially started by going to the persons stream and starting to talk derogatory about them, then the viewers started on them in the chat and they tried to pull the victim card, their friends (other streamer mentioned) simply stuck up for them, tbh they did nothing to warrant someone coming in and being rude when streaming, the Detective then went onto other some channels and did the same.

If you go to a stream and start doing that its never going to end well, its quite a silly thing to do in all honesty and then to try and play the victim in the saga made it worse for them.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/486055#Comment_486055

The thing is BHVR new these people long before this program.

The sit in their rooms chatting to viewers and also sub to them.

Those peoplr never starting changing due to being part of the program, they have been this way from the start and yet BHVR still chose them.

It's a clear indication that it dies not matter what anyone thinks as BHVR knew exactly what and who they were getting.

Those who were picked have long promoted the game nothing else, they were also the reason the game took off like it did as they didn't really advertise much anywhere else, so a large portion of the player is probably here due to watching some and then and spreading it to friends, I myself found the game when I stumbled accross pug one night.

New players seeing them isn't going to change that fact, they have brought huge amounts of player in by keeping it up high in twitch listing.

So why does having a Fog badge on them suddenly change that? If anything most new players won't even know what the program is and will make the choice to buy or not still not knowing.

It's a back and forth argument which will go nowhere as I stated BHVR knew these people for a long time well over a year or two before selecting them

I see, I see. All interesting bits of information.

I just like being caught up on things so its good to know about this stuff regardless if I don't watch them (Or any streamer really tbh.)

  • @Kiskashi Thank you for the information, i'll be sure to read up on it.

"Worst" is a strong word. No he is not worse than Freddy, but I would put him right above the ol' dream-haunting bastard.

This in itself can be debated, but the one thing I can agree on is they BOTH need a rework badly.

Far to many people think it's cook to post "Change my mind"

Change my mind! and for bonus points "My Boi!"

Its a play on that itself, notice how it says at the start "Jokes Aside" in bold? Its poking fun at the same exact posts people would make to "click bait" you into clicking on them.

    I thought it was funny.

  • @HavelmomDaS1 And off of what you said, I feel the entire conversation about this situation seems like two sides clashing against one opinion.

    This all sounds... messy.

  • Imagine this was a thing when Flashlights could still blind you while you were facing the opposite direction.

Complete nightmare, but not its with toolboxes if this was a thing.

  • I thought I heard that the FPS got better from this batch of patches in the last month?

Perhaps its just your PS4? If not that seems like a pretty bad issue for anyone playing up till the EGC.

  • @lasombra1979 said:

Can we do the same then for when a Killer disconnects? All the survivors are teleported to the basement to watch the Killer go on the hook and the Entity taking them? Just wondering.

Lmao, that sounds funny af. I can imagine it now in my head where a Killer DCs in the middle of the match and the Entity just snatches the killer up and puts them on a hook while the other Survivors T-bag around the basement hook.

  • I have zero clue whats happening in this conversation.

What is a "Fog Whisperer" And why does it matter if someone is one or not?

I understand the part where people care about their opinions on subjects, but that's as far as I got with this from reading all the comments.

  • @legion_main Yeah, 3 seconds seems reasonable enough. It would make Bloodlust a lot more useful since its only just good for catching up to Survivors pulling a infinite on you.

  • Make it active when following a trail of scratchmarks. I can't count the amount of times the chase broke when it shouldn't have.

It should just have a lingering effect if anything when a chase is broken. Maybe for like 5 seconds idk, maybe someone can build off this idea.

  • @legion_main said:

@FireHazard naw even skilled survivors fall for traps like that

Regardless, for Killers that want to use Leatherface without resorting to the basement isn't very viable.

Hes fun for a joke basement build yeah, but if were looking from a different standpoint he has nothing going for him.

  • @Salty_Pearl said:

No offense to Leatherface mains but I really don't think he was a needed Killer.

I'd be surprised if anyone mains Leatherface and doesn't use him ironically with a basement build...

  • Like I said before, i'd prefer we stray as far from Fortnite as possible.

  • @legion_main said:

    Insidious + Leatherface

    Ez win

For ignorant Survivors yeah, skilled is a different story.

This is literally my every match build... it’s funny though, approach at a distance in absolutely clear view (not even trying to sneak) and you’ll either A) get a grab because they weren’t looking your way or B) laugh as literally every survivor you do this to for some reason blows the gen up in their face (was a personal experiment)

Happens ALL the time for me, every Survivor either sees me when its too late, I grab them off the gen, or they blow the gen up in their face and scatter like ants.

Its one of my go to builds because of how effective it is, its also the most fun for me.

  • @GrootDude said:

He is the worst killer imo.

@TreemanXD By the way, I know people say Freddy is the worst killer. But I feel most those same people never touched Leatherface really...

If you pick him up for more than like 2 matches it literally gives you a headache (Gave me one for sure.) and it got to a point where I got so pissed about how bad he was that I switched to another Killer just so I can farm points for him.

I usually like to farm points for the Killer that i'm P3-50ing with said Killer, but he was just too much that...I..I couldn't it was too much, i'm gonna get back into it again today but I doubt it will be any different as last time.

  • Mini Myers.

  • Monitor & Abuse + Dead Rabbit + J Myers Memorial Page = The Shape given form.

By that I mean he actually is like a stalker from the movies with 0 terror radius at Tier l and like 7 at Tier ll, only then does his Terror Radius Spike to quadruple that in Tier lll given you the impression that its literally like a movie chase.

The rest of the perks are up to you, but Ruin is a must to charge Tier l up at the start, so the other two are up to you.

This build also can make you basically undetectable when hiding behind walls near a Gen in Tier l, I've gotten so many Gen grabs because of that.

  • @EndItEz No biggie just a simple mistake.

I'll just leave these @'s for whoever wants to close this.

    @MandyTalk @Peanits

  • The real miracle here is that Quentin doesn't look like his face was smashed in by a tire iron, amazing...

  • @EndItEz This isn't the place to discuss bans. Please file a support ticket to the team.

  • Where did you get the idea that Adrenaline would solve the Gen rushing issue?

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

I agree. Apart from instadown with the chainsaw he has nothing else going for him. At least Freddy gets a free hit, and with the right add ons can make you go asleep faster and make it tougher to wake up.

Exactly, Leatherface has none of that. Nothings really going for him.

  • What we REALLY need, is a reward for devotion ranks.

  • I'm getting tired of seeing posts about MoM, anyone else?

  • Billy can apply massive map pressure within just a few seconds of the game starting. He finds Survivors really easily thanks to BBQ & Chili and can get to them before they leave where he saw their auras, Billy can also Insta-down any Survivor with his chainsaw and break pallets effectively while forcing the Survivor where to go.

They're both really good top tier Killers in their own rights however, but Billy is better imo.

  • @Atrushan88 said:

    @TAG

    1. I don't know much about Legion, aside from the fact that his intended playstyle is to hit one target, then follow the aura to other survivors, but I doubt their INTENT was for Legion to purposefully miss attacks. That's just silly. In addition, if this changed Legion's playstyle, this change was INTENDED, that's why it's called a REWORK. His kit isn't SUPPOSED to be the same.
    2. Suggesting it to me won't do anything, and if they don't change it, then again, it wasn't their intent.
    3. It is not a fallacy, it's pretty obvious in fact. They didn't REWORK the pig, so they didn't change the way her kit was intended to work. In addition, do you even understand what you're talking about? A LOGICAL FALLACY. That's an oxymoron. I can't be illogical and logical at the same time.
    4. If you asked me how them removing it due to the EGC proves it, I'd tell you what I've already told you. Her power explicitly states that generators need to be completed for a RBT to become activated. If I told you a microwave would only power up if I flipped a switch, and I didn't flip the switch, would the microwave power up? No. If the microwave powered up when I hit a different switch than the one I stated, and I didn't mind because that switch wasn't that important anyways, and then later changed something that would make that switch MORE important, I would fix the problem with the microwave powering up when I flipped the switch that wasn't intended. This is exactly what they did. It was excess fat getting in the way of their EGC.

Either way, let's just agree to disagree because you're just gonna keep attacking me until I agree with you, and I'm not going to agree with you that they INTENDED for the pig to place RBTs on people's heads after the gates were powered when they clearly didn't.

    @FireHazard

I didn't ever say that her RBTs were intended to kill. In fact I've been saying that her power has been intended to stall the game, not wait until the end of the game. TAG is the one saying that her power was intended to be used at the end of the game.

    Things get mixed up sometimes.

  • @SmokePotion said:

They just need to remove the slow down from his charge up. Do that and suddenly he will be a lot more viable, since the survivor's running wont negate your speed boost.

Yeah, if that cool-down when you stop charging the chainsaw was removed he'd be a lot more viable and useful. Its funny how that one thing could make a huge difference.

I think Award-Winning Chili works in cornering. The beast marks+Award-winning Chili is the best build to use chainsaw in chasing IMO. LF's add-ons should get reworked in general.

Chili does nothing, I noticed zero difference with and without it except for the huge penalty it gives.

  • @HavelmomDaS1 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/484662#Comment_484662

Yeah exactly, he is missing something. His unique thing should be the possibility to chainsaw multiple survivors at once, but that never works besides camping a hook.

He needs more mobility. Maybe he should have 2 different chainsaw attacks. One which inflicts insta down but doesn't last long and one which inflicts one injured state while beeing really fast with high mobility and lasts as Long as you want. Basically like Billy.

At the very least if they don't change his mobility in base form, his add-ons that do change his mobility SHOULD work (Chili and Award-Winning Chili) because as they claim they increase "acceleration"

  • Myers, Freddy, and or Pig.

  • @HavelmomDaS1 said:

He doesn't need a whole rework, he needs some QoL changes. His chainsaw charging should have the same mechanic as billy, his slowdown should be reduced and his speeding while using it should be faster. Some addons should be reworked.

Just that should make him a lot better.

Maybe give him some kind of mobility like Billy and he could be top tier with map pressure

I wouldn't say make him top tier, but the way he currently is feels... incomplete, he feels like they just took most of Billy's add-ons gave him a chainsaw like Billy's but removed the sprint from it and called it a day.

Kinda disappointing, and the only fun you get out of him is making a basement build... Which can still get boring.

  • @SadonicShadow said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/484635#Comment_484635

The brutal slowdown on his chainsaw plus with the charge action being cancelled despite the bar being full makes him such a headache to play. It actually works against you especially at high ranks. Only time i ever play leatherdaddy anymore is if i have a daily or i am drunk and want to be a mindless killer.

Its worse for me since i'm actually trying to P3-50 him to just get him out of the way. And this made me realize how horrible he was to use.

  • This is true even more so with his massive nerf he got.

But I still think his power actually does more than Leatherfaces because most Survivors STILL for whatever reason don't heal against Legion from a chain FF stab.

So... especially with his 4.6 movement speed now its easier to kill Survivors with his M1, but hes still bad don't get me wrong.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I think Leatherface and Clown are the worst. Clown is ridiculously overrated in my opinion.

I think people over exaggerate the Clown because of his bottles that slow and blur a Survivor when hit by them.

  • @Okapi said:

Leatherface and Trapper are the worst killers in the game. Freddy was not as bad as everyone thought. The memes got out of control. He's amazing at stalling if you play him using a hit&run strategy.

Hes great at wasting Survivors time by pulling them in the dream state.

As for Leatherface and Trapper they're pure M1 killers pretty much, Leatherfaces chainsaw can be a hindrance in some chases.

  • @Unnamed_Freak said:

Leatherface is just a cash grab to be honest, the only reason people buy his DLC is because of his perks, other than that, Bubba is still a worse version of Max.

This I also agree with, his perk BBQ & Chili are what most people buy his DLC for, the Killer itself is nothing to write home about. I think he needs a whole overhaul to his add-ons and possible his power.

If not his power his add-ons for sure since most of them as stated above are just Copy&Paste from Hillbilly's which makes him not very unique. He just feels like Hillbilly without the sprint.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I dont know, I think Trapper is worse. He is not only an M1-Killer, he is also RNG-based. And the prime example of "Add-On dependent", if you use the best Add-Ons, he is quite decent. Leatherface has some more useful Add-Ons, which do not have such a high rarity.

But he needs some love, clearly. His Add-Ons are either not working or simply Copy&Paste.

In my eyes I can't agree nor disagree if Trapper is worse since that's how hes always been. Trapper is unique and like you said is RNG-based for sure, but he has add-ons that work him him.

As for Leather Face most of his add-ons are Copy&Paste from Hillbilly's and two of the add-ons that are unique to him alone don't even work. So its a tough call to make on which is worse.

  • @Boss said:

Why change your mind when i agree with it?

He needs a rework after Nightmare if you ask me.

The title was a joke, but yeah he needs to be reworked after Freddy for sure. Hes the hardest killer to manage without that one build I mentioned, and even then why should I only be limited to one build to make him viable?

Against skilled Survivors he's a Nightmare (literally) but against regular casual Survivors it varies on how they do against him.

  • Myers, Freddy, and Pig.

I'm currently P3-50ing Leather Face and that's a... whats the word... experience...

  • And give survivors enough time to open the gates and leave.

The time for opening gates has always been the same... so... you want 20 seconds to be reduced to what 15 or something?

  • Also this isn't reddit, so I don't understand why people will think everyone will automatically know what /s means. @Gonzolax

  • This isn't the correct place to discuss this tbh.
