I agree, I miss the old foggy look to dbd. It was honestly so unnerving seeing a Michael partially covered by fog stalking you from a distance. Now I feel like mist offerings barley make a difference. I'm pretty sure if everyone brings a mist offering it only covers your feet now.
I always use this video as an example.

What happens when you play other online multi-player games?
Absolutely nothing. Played overwatch for a few hours today and had no issues. Played survivor for a bit and was fine. Got into a killer game and around halfway into a game I smacked a Claudette and the game just yeeted me to the end game lobby.
-
Just happened again, still under 40 ping and just when I downed a survivor...

Sometimes i get disconnected at the most suspicious times where it looks like the survivor had something to do with it.
It feels like that tbh as when it does happen it's only killer. Like I had no lag spikes at all and just hit the nea. The second I got the hit the game just booted me to the end game lobby saying I got disconnected. :/

Saving a teammate from assured death situations. I don’t know, like a meat hook, or a cage, something that would require a teammate to intervene to prevent death.
Nah, too crazy.
Lol, tbf tho it's not exactly mandatory as we all know there are selfish players out there who want the hatch. ;)
Agreed tho, I just wondered if anyone had any ideas, again I'm not saying I want this to be a thing. Was just curious to see what everyone would think :)

Lol, I remember those posts

I don't think a secondary objective would work. It'd have to be something optional, like building breakable walls, to create stronger loops.
Maybe not, I just always feel guilty when I spawn next to a gen and the killer is on the complete opposite side of the map so by the time they get to me I've pretty much already done the gen

Just checking, were you hit with Sloppy Butcher? I believe that negates the green medkit's healing speed increase.
nope, just a normal hit :)
-
@GoshJosh said:
An emergency medkit (green) should be healing you faster than a camping medkit (brown). Please report as a bug if the progress bar is not yellow when healing yourself - unless the killer had healing slowdown perks.
Yeah the progress bar wasn't yellow, was healing the same speed as a brown medkit. Will report it as a bug.
-
You would have a higher chance of BHVR re-adding those godawful gen noises they put in the game a while ago then them doing either of those.
For those that missed it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usfrTlro7Us

I gave up running hex perks when 90% of the time my hex totem would be in front of a tree in plain sight. Suffice to say the totem didn't last two minutes
-
'Phone' is censored as well btw for some reason
-
Here are mine <3
-
If it makes you feel any better I've died on my first hook 3 times in a row now because none of my teammates go for the rescue :)
-
It would be a smart move, that way they won't just bin a whole map that they clearly put a lot of time into and can please the players who were annoyed that Trickster didn't get a map
-
I've had games where I kid you not a teammate would be running bond, realising they were screwed would bring the killer to us on purpose and then proceeded to hide when the killer started chasing us.
-
@Mandy said:
This is the only map that this will occur on and it's by design, this is not a bug.
Thanks for confirming <3

@IlliterateGenocide said:
was there open floor below the hatch?, i know it can sometimes spawn in specific spots on the third floor library if there is no open floor below it
I cant remember exactly where it was as the killer was carrying my friend for a good 10 mins because like everyone else he thought it would be on the bottom floor. All I remember was that it was in a room near the roof part.

@CapricornZeus3 said:
I'm 90% sure it works for every map
idk about that cause I've never had it spawn on the second floor on Gideon meat plant or Midwich school.

Either an exception, or a weird bug on RPD
Probably a bug considering how buggy that map is

We need it back :(

Deathslinger was the worst one for me. I just couldn't pull it off and even if I did well I was always like half a pip off. Got it after a month of trying
-
I always had my profile set to private before I even started playing dbd. I just don't like random people being able to see what I'm doing unless they are a friend.

"JuStHaVeGoOdReAdS"

Binding of Kin and All kill were the worst due to the insane amount of bugs that came with the chapters

Be super careful with XBL reports, anyone can mess up your XBL reputation for literally anything or nothing at all. Up to you but I never suggest replying to messages, Xbox is easily exploitable and a simple reply or party invite accepting gives them your location and ability to ddos you.
I have to deal with this on the daily as an Xbox Killer and have had my fair share of unjust bans, rep drops and ddos attacks because I dared to play the bad guy in a video game.
Reminds me of when a friend on ps4 messaged a killer saying why did you camp and got banned from PSN for 48 hours because camp was apparently a bad word...

so sad to see that they messed up some things again but its not that bad i would still like to see some sort of compensation
I didn't really find it too annoying as I just had to go and manually equip everything again but I ended up playing a match with no perks and it was only then did I realise XD

I was wondering why everything reset...
-
I've changed the title due to some confusion. Hopefully it's a little easier to understand what I originally meant now. :)

@Konnor24 said:
Is Gen tapping still a thing? I know people used to do it to counter the old hex:ruin but why do people do it now?
I havent seen it since those changes. So i dont see the point?
It's gen tapping to stop a gen regressing once a killer has kicked it is what I mean. Killers don't bother kicking gens to regress them because a survivor can tap it in a split second to completely undo the action.
-
@humanbeing1704 said:
lmao how is gen tapping an issue? Does old ruin exist still? Are you playing a old version of dbd?
It takes the killer 2 seconds to kick a gen for literally no regression. Survivors take 0.01 seconds to stop regression. Unless you have pop it's really a huge waste of time for a killer to kick a gen
-
Ghostface is a paragraph dlc rather than a chapter dlc so he wont get a map sadly, same with Bubba.
I can see all kill getting a map though as there was a lot of disappointment on the forums when everyone realised there was no new map.
-
I feel like nurse for now should be left alone until more killers are actually viable at red ranks. We should focus on giving killers that are pushed at the back some love rather than nerfing the only few strong killers
-
There's nothing wrong in actual good stealthy plays. Some people know they aren't good at chases so they will instead be a bit sneaky when the killer is on their way to them so not only does it wastes the killers time when he walks around the gen trying to find them but the killer won't get a hook out of it either.
That's what a stealth play should be like, hiding for the whole game and not touching gens on the other hand is the worst thing a survivor can do, not only are they dragging out the game but their also hurting the survivors chances of winning by a ton.
-
Maybe they could make a perk that will hide the survivors aura when normally shown for the duration of the exposed status effect? Wouldn't be too broken in normal circumstances.
-
I'd say trapping the last survivor in a corner as a killer without the end game timer starting up and refusing to move is considered taking the game hostage as there's nothing the survivor can do to escape that unless the killer hits them.

Mine is more when they obnoxiously body block with borrowed time and prevent me from getting a hit on their team mate. At that point. I'm like ok "You wanted my attention. You got my attention" I'll gladly eat a DS and tunnel you quickly out of the game
Or when (in my case) getting a teammate running object and fast vaulting a window to get the killers attention.
-
I miss the foggy astrosphere. It was so creepy to see a Michael stalking you while being partially covered by the fog. Now you can see killers coming a mile away.

I don’t play any games most Wednesdays so I don’t know whether this update was yesterday or today. Steam is updating DBD and doing the thing Steam usually does it’s extending ‘unpacking’ a fully downloaded 86.1 megabyte patch to unprecedented amounts of time for whatever reason.
Does anybody know what this update was for? Prepping the PTB or something? I haven’t installed the PTB or anything and haven’t played since Tuesday (~48 hours ago).
It was an update that buffed the trickster, fixed bugs such as the pallet bug and something to do with making the swamp map brighter. :)

I remember them saying that as well.

Not added so far. They should be a thing when MMR is active to give Rank some purpose.
I dont know why they are not implementing it already, while Ranks are used for Matchmaking it would be nice to get something for actually reaching Rank 1.
Ahhh I see, thanks for letting me know. I don't really stay up to date with the game as much as I used to :)
-
I think it's a decent perk. Probably one of the only good non-dlc ones that can appear on the bloodweb. In all fairness survivors have quite a lot of strong perks that aren't locked behind a paywall so it's fair tbh.
I think the perk is great on killers who can only m1 so myers, ghostface, wraith etc.

Next gen is 500$ and (at least for PS5) is really hard to get right now thanks to scalpers.
And don't get me wrong.Accessibility is very important but so is the performance of the game.
Constantly having to deal with crap like that is NOT ok:
Damn, reminds me of when I used to play on console. Was always super painful to have your fps drop to 0

If it makes you feel any better, I got hit by a hatchet when I was behind a wall today :)

“I didn’t know where the stairs were”
I just laughed so hard at this, like what is going on.. xD
It was a very bizarre experience that's for sure XD
-
I had a Jake who sat at the top of the basement stairs and didn't come down to unhook me despite the killer being nowhere near the motor shop so I ended up dying on first hook. Never wanted a survivor to die that badly before.
At end game chat he said he didn't know where the stairs were. That would be fine and dandy but the thing is... he was a rank 1 survivor. I've never met a rank 1 survivor who couldn't find a set of stairs.

I just got the most egregious hit through a pallet I've ever seen, so maybe.
Dropped the pallet before the lunge animation even started, he slid across the whole thing playing the whole animation and I still got hit.
Exactly what happened to me just now :(
-
@KingFrost said:
It's not deync. It's something entirely new with pallets.
Ahhh gotcha, sure is annoying throwing down the pallet 2 seconds early just to be on the safe side and still getting hit through it regardless.
-
I feel like the only time it's kinda acceptable is when the killer is hard slugging but I do agree it is a cheap tactic.
