  • It’s hard to tell

They need to test her on LAN to see if there is actually a problem.

But l really think projectile killers are always gonna be a problem with these dogshit servers.

  • I don’t see the big problem with it

You can almost predict wether a killer has noed or not.

lf the killer is downing people quickly and ending chases quickly chances are they arnt running noed.

lf the killer is struggling to get downs and hasn’t had many hooks, chances are they are running noed.

or just assume that every killer is running it.

  • I don’t see it as bigger deal on blight than Oni

blight had still gotta hit you twice and there arnt that many really good blight players.

But Oni is pretty popular (at least where l play he is) having that ability with your one shot is kinda crazy.

Someone whose been playing this game for 4 years now and is sick of it becoming easier and easier to the point of being braindead and boring. There's a reason veterans are leaving left and right.

Okay so that makes you the authority then l see

l have been playing since beta, and perhaps these veterans you speak of have moved on because they found a better game.

You know new games do come out every now and again.

Just because you have played for 4 years doesn’t mean your opinions are any better than anyone else.

Nice victim complex and disregarding the majority of the posts.

    Who are you?

You aren't seeing Billies because people played him for an easy ride. Not because they were good at him or liked his power.

Think back to those billies you used to play. How many of them used charge speed add ons or patrolled hook whilst revving? Probably a good 90%. You can still play Billy just fine you just need to learn him.

The ranking system and this new MMR exist for the very reason you're describing. Bad at Billy? Well you will most likely play against bad survivors to even it out.

"Unplayable" LOL. You're the type of player to call a FADC into super "cheating" in a fighting game.

    Okay have your way

lets not let the the casuals play a killer that was fun.

only the elistists sweating it out in the grandma’s basement should be able to play him.

which l would say you’d be one of them practicing away at DBD tournament level.

Except thats not really what happened. All they did was remove insta saw, which carried bad players and just encouraged assrevving. Overheat was unnecessary but a common offering all but removes it. I've seen 2 Billys overheat ever.

How can you say that’s not what happened?

l have seen no Billy’s today or yesterday.

You are missing the point, the changes they made to him have made him unplayable for the majority of players.

those addons may have carried bad players but at least people were able playing him

now no one plays him except the more skilled player.

this isn’t about being elitist it’s about killers being viable for everyone.

  • @gibblywibblywoo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2037074#Comment_2037074

Billy only became unplayable to players who were carried by his add ons. He's toughter to play now, sure. Because you have to actually learn his power.

    Exactly my point

lf you nerf a killer to the point where only the best can play them, then you rarely see them again.

You may think freddy is unfun to play with but me i love playing him and i find him fun to play with and vs.

The reason most of the freddy player are scare is because bhvr dont have a good track record with nerf most of the time they destroy the killer or perk

    This is true

lf they nerf Freddy he will be hanging out with hillbilly.

They never slightly nerf a killer they usually make them unplayable or a joke.

  • Well they do

the reason is, they want you dead.

No not at all, call of Duty you actively have to be on alert for an enemy, move around the map tactically and is a high paced high action game that requires you to use your head. Mario while a platformer at least requires you to be engaged throughout. DBD is literally just a background thing at this point that I throw on while I watch a movie and occasionally look over at when I hear the skill check or get into a chase. It's not the issues of doing the same thing over and over it's the issue of doing nothing 80-90% of the time over and over. It's just very dull and simple when playing as survivor at this point. It's basically watching paint dry.

Yeah it makes sense to compare a tactical FPS game with multiple enemies to a casual game that’s 1v4

I don’t know why anyone hasn’t done any stats on these two games seeing they are so similar.

  • Freddy, twins, hag

these three extremely unfun to and play against.

    nurse/spirit

not so bad if it’s against swf, can be fun

these two against solo’s it’s just over to quickly.

Scott Jund had a interesting I dea, I would suggest something simiular like his idea but changed abit. At the start of the match all gens are blocked by the entity. The survivors have to find 3 entity shrines and interact with it for a short time (3 sec). After the 3th shrine has been activated the gens are free and survivors can start working on it.

This encourages the survivors to start going around the map and increase the chances to interact with the Killer.

In the other side it is positive for the survivors because they go around the map and can see where and how many pallets there are around the map.

Edit: I dont think a punishment for doing your job too good is a good idea, that is just frustrating and not fun. Thats why I suggest a second objective before the gen so the core gameplay (gens) stay as the same.

So you need to interact with all three shrines to unlock the gens?

what’s stopping the killer from camping one of those shrines and holding the game hostage?

  • Tapp

they are like unicorns, but they are generally really ######### good.

  • Next time you see 4 survivors in your lobby with flashlights perhaps think about dodging.

Or did you try to be a hero and think you could take them?

what did you think they were going to do with those flashlights?

  • l Always had trouble playing the original treatment theatre with nurse and billy.

come to think of it l still do!

  • I dunno l don’t think projectile killers belong in this game.

with server issues, latency and general hitbox problems it makes them way to inconsistent for both sides.

  • I will gladly take huntress over death slinger any day.

  • Define fair?

    without it being subjective.

    Fair doesn’t exist.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2020617#Comment_2020617

    Well, ya.

Imagine they hopped off a gen, ran across the map, dodged their way around the Killer, risked running into the basement where they are likely to take a hit on the way out, just for the person to blow their hook phase in your face that you were trying to help them preserve.

Imagine you are at some kids birthday party in a backyard. Kids everywhere. They are the Killers in this scenario. You are asked by someone to go inside, grab the birthday cake cuz the birthday boy/girl is ready for cake, and bring it out without dropping it. It's on a tiny little platter that is easy to drop. So you go in, grab it, and carefully bring it out, dodging kids running left and right. You're doing your absolute best to not drop it. You finally get it over to the table after several close calls, and the birthday kid looks at it for a moment before slapping it out of your hand to the ground. Splatters everywhere. He didn't want the cake anymore.

It's like that. Throw the kid in the pool, pinch brown on the table, and get into a high speed chase with the cops, cuz you got better things to do with your life than help some brat that doesn't appreciate you.

    It’s a nice story

but to put that into perspective with dbd if he unhooks him the kid still get his cake and you get a piece as well because it’s not lying in the ground

meaning there is still one more survivor for the killer to chase. Just because the kid didn’t want the cake doesn’t mean everyone else doesn’t want a piece.

Why is this in the game? Just had a match where I got a 3k within the first 2 minutes of the game. I let the last guy ds me and get hatch for points but guess what, de-pip. Why is this a thing? Even a 4k probably would've gotten me a de-pip to. Lets hope this MMR is better.

Same way if you only rush gens within 5 mins and get out without seeing the killer

At higher ranks you will depip even though just like an efficient killer you did the objective it’s not enough.

Please, explain in great detail how a killer is supposed to pressure a team that's playing safe and actually rushing gens. I'd love to hear it, since you're the first person ever to have figured it out.

    They arnt playing safe

they are literally sitting on gens, which means they arnt hiding they arnt Urban evading they are doing gens, gens arnt hidden in a hole they are out in the open.

The only safe thing about it is the killer doesn’t seem to be putting on any pressure on them.

It does seem like you got smacked by some sweat lord team but they arnt that common.

She's so easy to counter. Just look at the shards, they glow when she's phasing.

Unless she is wearing the school girl cosmetic in which you can’t see them

but you already knew that right?

  • Despite what people think

    killers are actually quite strong

but you are always going to get people tell you on the forums they run into a sweaty seal team 6 swf every single game and killers are really weak

and you are always going to get survivors tell you they always play against a killer who is a camping, tunneling, hacking strider running spirit death machine.

  • @Retromind said:

''Stop expecting 4k, because.... because just stop it!''

Nah man, I will expect 4k every single game I join because if you lower your expectations you become a joke of a killer who is prone to be bullied. Why should ANYONE expect less than 4k when playing as a killer ?

I agree you should always aim high

and this isn’t directed at you but when you don’t 4k don’t come on the forums like many do and complain the game is unbalanced.

  • What people don’t realize or are to stubborn to admit is

They have probably played against far more bad spirits than good.

lts just easier to complain about that one time a good killer ######### on you.

  • ”lt takes skill to loop a killer”

    ”Camping is a strategy”

both are just steaming piles of no.2’s

  • For me

lf the opposite side is stuck because of a bug.

Try and help them free themselves if you can and let them go.

  • @MadLordJack said:

Yeah, absolutely making sure that one poor person cannot get the escape they probably worked their butt off for because the killer wants to secure a kill they really didn't earn is totally fun and fair. I have no clue why anyone would ever complain.

    Yes and No

depends why you play killer, lf you play for kills then yeah l guess it’s important.

lf you play to pip but have had your arse handed to you and done nothing then 1 kill isn’t going to help

but if you have played really well got multiple hooks maybe been a bit unlucky or run out of time 1 kill could be the difference between depip or black.

How many survivors do you know that have wiped a killer within 5 mins felt bad and run back in to give him a kill? Why would killers also do the same?

    it’s pretty rare.

  • @CountVampyr said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2007120#Comment_2007120

Actually, if they bring a key into the game knowing that it’ll likely cause them to be tunneled, and they still manage to live long enough to use it, then sorry but that’s a victory in my book.

I was about to say the same thing

what happens if they bring a key and 3 escape, is that considered a win?

  • Seriously?

the introduction of dedicated servers, and the last dodgy patch de sync issues, you are gonna complain about hit validation is unfair for killers?

  • It does need to be paired with something

probably why no one generally runs it, it’s not a crutch and has no second chance potential.

  • @Orion said:

As a former Jake main and current Felix main, I feel personally insulted.

I am totally with you on this

Old school Jake mains is where it started , Sabo Jake was the most face camped survivor in the game.

  • I must have blinded this poor killer about 10 times last night, poor bastard took it like a champ.

l tried to give him a bit of the old ctrl key action at the gate, didn’t realize l wasn’t close enough to the line and he hit me with a nice touch of noed.

died on the hook getting smacked and head nodded and deserved it.

killer then hit me with the gg ez in the end chat.

  • I dunno why people still can’t read a noed killer

lf the game is going quick and the killer is getting looped or they are having trouble downing people 9/10 noed is coming you should always assume it.

lf the killer is rolling through survs, then you can safely assume they don’t need noed.

Most people believe that these stats are skewed

But to elaborate on this point. Killers in low ranks will skew these stats. And since most people are below green ranks. These stats will be higher. This is a widely accepted fact that almost everyone believes.

Stats cannot tell you the cause and effect due to them being quantitative data rather than qualitative data. Anyone who's taken a stats Course knows this. Stats themselves could be skewed by a multitude of factors and I've named a few that aren't accounted for.

If you want, I am in the process and am going to start recording my next 100 games as survivor and killer. I'll send these to you.

Anyhow, the way these stats are generalised and are about all ranks so kill rates of 60-70% (less than 3 people so not a pip) and this includes the majority of players which are below green ranks (so inexperienced or just bad at the game) and the few in the top 5% will skew this asweel, but more likely it will negatively skew it. In lower ranks killers have more strength than in higher ranks so will get more kills. And the fact that people tend to need 3 people to be killed to pip so that means the average killer cannot pip.

Also here's a forum post that gives kill rates for a red rank killer. If you want another set of stats that is.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/135891/stats-killer-pick-rates-kill-rates-after-doc-and-ruin-rework-in-red-ranks/p1

Whats wrong with you? You sound like a child. We all can use google. I gave you a tip how to get more data, but in the end i dont care whether you change your opinion. Do the work yourself.

And please dont reply, i dont want to argue.

    Ok

So you argue a point which is clearly only your opinion or the regurgitated opinion of someone else, probably your favorite streamer with absolutely no evidence to back it up

then when you are asked to show evidence you pull the classic internet call “ go find them yourself”

just to clarify lm not the one disputing the stats without any evidence to show they arnt real.

l Think we know who is being childish here. Perhaps next time don’t insert yourself into others conversations without being able to continue it.

  • @TicTac said:

Yh their are stats to disprove them. For example the pick rate from nurse in tournaments make no sense with her killrate.

So you see that their always factors behind the stats. You never should use stats without questioning them. You need to understand how the stats were created and what influences them.

Alright then show us the evidence the stats are wrong, you can say what you want on a forum, show us the stats that disprove the stats

  • @SilentHillOnDvD said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2002585#Comment_2002585

Stop using stats to back you up. According to the stats, nurse is the worst killer in the game and freddy is the best. The stats they show are so bad and I can't believe there's people like you still going around thinking they're 100% right.

What makes them wrong? Your opinion? Or do you have stats that can disprove the stats?

  • Move Freddy to the secret lower tier called

    insomnia cure tier

literally same build same play style every game.

  • This guy never played ormond before the rework surely.

  • Yeah l am having the same problem playing DBD on my Atari 2600 :)~

  • If he is the hands of a 6000hr killer main then yeah he is probably pretty good.

ln the hands of a 60hr killer main the meh not so good

You could say that about nearly every killer

    except maybe Freddy

  • People are ######### heads don’t worry about, if they are doing that just walk away from the screen for a few minutes.

    lt does happen both ways

l played a bubba the other night he downed two of us at the end (we didn’t split which was stupid) he picked me up, it was my first hook and continued to chainsaw me on the hook till l died.

l dunno why, he had the 4k but still wanted to chainsaw me on the hook.

sometimes it is what it is.

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

To keep the game fresh with new content.

l think you meant to say to keep people frustrated with new bugs.

  • I don’t mind helping a killer do one of those garbage tome challenges

few weeks ago l played against a trapper on dead dawg, he literally lined up his six traps all in a row down the middle of the street and waited.

l dunno exactly know what challenge it was but l just started stepping in traps as he reset them

when he had obviously completed the challenge he walked over to a gen and smacked it and everyone got out.

hopefully it saved him some time trying to get it done vs the sweatlord swf groups or what not.

  • My guess is

recently ever survivor has turned into a locksmith, bringing keys

and l would say killers are thinking ######### it your gonna try hatch me during EGC your going down.

    just my opinion.

    You clearly don't play survivor.

Lots of instances where what the survivor "sees" isn't true. There are countless instances of survivors who run away from windows and taken several steps away only to still get downed by a killer strike from the other side.

This is clearly a latency issue and it affects both sides in many different ways, including huntress hatchet throws, gen/window vault grabs, etc.

    This is true

latency controls hits lMO whichever side it favors

There have been times where l have grabbed a survivor through a window only to have them disappear

Then other times where l have literally reached through the window, past a tree and still grabbed them.
