Meanwhile, the survivors cheered with every nerf he ever got, including the removal of his ability to apply on it status effects from perks. And so, here we are at the result.
-
Well he sees somehow.
-
Im wondering if we'll get the Butcher skin as an alt for Pyramid head.
-
It occurs to me that doing this could be a stealth nerf to SWF, since the person in the cage has to pay more attention to their screen, rather than calling stuff out to the rest of their team from their all-seeing position on the hook. especially when they have the BS that is Object of Obsession.

She IS Cheryl. Heather was an alias that Harry gave her to hide her. At the end of SH3, she remembers everything, and explicitly says she's going to go back to the first name he had given her: Cheryl. When asked if she's going to dye her hair back to black, she says, "I dont know. Don't you think Blondes have more fun?" fade to end credits.

Thats a 3 hour video with no timestamp about which part is you. Either way though, this can be considered naming and shaming.
weird, the link I posted definitely has a timestamp of 20:35, but the embed ignores it. As for "Naming and shaming" it's worth noting that the guy posted this online himself. he streamed it live.

That happens to me too. They just blame the perks.
I had a similar experience the other day. I was queuing up a Legion game on my partner's account, to do his "break 20 pallets" challenge. he has limited perks available for killers, but lots of bloodpoints, so I splice together the best build I could. I notice that one is a twitch streamer according to his name, so I used a red mori in case they're toxic. They were indeed teabagging like mad right at the beginning, even though they had no progress at the time and were wasting pallets. So I mori that one and sacrifice the others, with 2 gens to go at the end, even though I didn't have any slowdown perks. I wondered why they did some of the things they did, so It occurs to me I can just go into the chat and ask, right? Well two of them were actually talking in one stream it turns out, so I got 2 perspectives. the link below is of the Feng Min in menus after I Mori'd him, while his Dwight friend is still in game:

Unless a killer is stronger than Hillbilly, they dont need nerfed. Doctor is not as strong as Hillbilly, thus no need for nerfs.
-
agreed. My old rule was that when I used a mori, I cant actually start killing until Ruin dies. that way, the game still went at a reasonable pace.
Now Ruin is dead at all times, so I can kill whenever I want, and suddenly the game is at a reasonable pace again. Especially if I'm not a top tier killer.
-
Ok then. So the BS involved in the second, third, fourth and fifth chance perks is intentional. Gotcha.
-
redundant. better to combine Spine Chill with 3 other perks that help with other things.
-
Kindred is great but I prefer Spine Chill. it's more consistent.

Have the Devs ever said camping is bannable, no but there’s at least ten posts a day asking for it.
lol good luck with that. I turned on Twitch the other day and saw a dev streaming his killer game. he was an insidious Leatherface camping the basement. i think it was McClean.
-
I always had a rule that if I use a Mori, I cant actually kill until Ruin goes down. That seemed to make the game still go at a reasonable pace.
Of course, Ruin is now a dead perk I don't use at all. So it's technically down all the time. And since the game still goes at the same unreasonable pace it did when old Ruin went down, that means I get to Mori whenever I feel like it.
Granted, I usually prefer BP offerings, but I only have two more killers to max out, and lots of red moris saved up. So I'll be using them a lot soon.

I mean, that is my complaint about doc, that there is no cue for survivors within his radius. It should be subtle but able to be heard... but right now, you can only hear it if you are close, and usually it is too late.
The radius itself is a cue. it literally tells yout the killer is near with no effort.
What you should be asking is whether the TR is reasonable to begin with. all killers have it as an innate weakness, informing the survivors the killer is near without effort or input from the survivor. they have a zero effort psychic ability at all times. and even the killers who are able to mitigate this a little bit can only do so with significant consequences.
If anything, the TR should be changed so it's only something the survivors can sense if they stop and use some kind of channeling ability or something, based on your standards of wanting input and effort.

"you get almost no chase because the game doesn't count you as being in one because you can't hear the music. I have had games where I spend 2 gens running from this man and got quarter chase because I refused to let him be directly up my rectum."
The same thing commonly happens with Wraith. you dont get any chase points until he uncloaks, which he usually doesnt do until he's in a spot that's good for him. there are a vast numbe rof areas in this game that make it too hard for him, so he's often cloaked until the last second. You mention that you've had multiple games where you run Deathslinger for 2 gens without getting chased, which means you werent hit for that time either.
this is an issue with level design being unfair to these weak killers, not you. notice how they couldnt catch you for 2 gens? that's why killer players keep disappearing.
-
not really. NOED is basically the closest thing. Meanwhile survivors can use a combo of DS, unbreakable, DH, BT and Deliverance as up to 5th chance perks per character.
I suppose you could argue Rancor is a a second chance perk, but it doesnt really stack with NOED, in fact it's redundant with NOED, while the survivor perks I listed all stack.

Dwight x Jake
David x Trapper

Gives incentives to stay indoors. Good for the community.
-
Bonuses for cleansing against Plague, or playing as Doc.
-
yep. if you check on PSN, it's been at 0.0% players achieved, until yesterday, when it jumped to 0.1%. i wonder if that's just a dev?
-
both are some of my favorites, but Myers does have better perks that work well on several other killers, and more diversity of gameplay since his add ons tend to change how his power works, more so than Oni. Oni's add ons mostly jsut adjust the numbers a bit, except for Renjiro's glove, which is AMAZING.
-
the problem with toolboxes is, they're a power without any downside or cost. Imagine the devs came out with a new killer whose power is that he always runs at 170% speed, and also insta-downs at all times. no cooldown, no skill in aiming, nothing. that's the equivalent of what toolboxes are. Yet it's been allowed this whole time. meanwhile, survivors often bitched about how Spirit's add ons had no downside or counters, such as how Prayer beads removed her sound effect and did nothing else.
And even now, toolboxes still have no cost to them, they just offer less of a benefit without cost.
Personally, I would have done a more imaginative rework that fits more logically with toolboxes. for example, I would have made some of them cause you to move slower while carrying them, since it is a steel box filled with steel tools after all. or they could make louder noise while you're moving, alerting the killer if you move while he's close enough. And the better toolboxes would have a combination of these, especially if they still have lots of charges. on top of that, survivors could work around this by setting the box down when they killer gets near and sneaking off, thus removing that downside; BUT if they want to use it again, they'd have to go back and get it, at the obvious cost of losing the time it took to backtrack.
And then there could be perks that help with this, adding a whole new dimension to the game, like Streetwise could make the shaking sound quieter at the cost of taking a few extra seconds to start working on the generator once you get there, or a new perk could reduce the slowdown penalty at the cost of something else.
-
no, but the fact is, there's only so much you can do to force someone to play a game they dont want to.
-
with massively powerful add ons using only a few of the strongest killers, while micromanaging injured survivors and aiming for a 3 gen at the end, occasionally with a mori thrown in.
That's what I do anyway. it works pretty well, though I do wish the sneaky and setup killers were more viable.
-
We don't. but we do get used to seeing the same perks every match. It's not hard to figure out when the results screen shows that 3-4 survivors have Decisive Strike at the end of at least 80% of matches.
-
I'm gonna point out that the new map's generator trophy is impossible to get on PS4. check in the stats, and you'll notice that 0.0% of players have it, yet all the other new trophies have people that got them.
Also, the lack of sound from downed survivors is absurd. I downed a Claudette in the bushes on Ormond yesterday, and literally could not find here at all where I stood once my cooldown was done. I didnt find her until I hooked the other remaining person and BBQ showed me which corner she had crawled to.
-
I'm calling them liars.
-
I notice there's basically no difference between reeling a healthy survivor in, and letting them break free. all that changes is you get a longer stun when they break free. So he's basically a cross between Huntress and Legion, if they only crossed the downsides of both of them.
-
pretty bad for longtime players too, especially if you play killer.
-
this happens a lot with trophies in this game. never had any other game with this issue, and I've been playing Since games first got trophies on the PS3.
-
Loretta is lying. not clear why. probably wants to hide the fact she abandoned her kid.
-
Well I don't play nearly as often as I used to, and when I do I only players high information killers. Doctor, Plague with incense, Oni with Renjiro's, Legion with Big terror radius, Spirit with BBQ, Wraith with that surveillance add on. It makes the gen rush manageable some times.
-
yes. it is.
-
I think Deliverance, Unbreakable, and DS should cause exhaustion and not work while exhausted. That way, they're only second chance perks, not second, third, fourth and fifth chance.
-
Its both, and each one makes the other worse.
-
it's a really undeserved factor that only serves to make looping more frustrating. it should be removed.
-
His hair is OP pls nerf
-
I've done it several times
-
they should add a scoring event that allows the killer to get extra points if the last guy resorts tot he hatch to escape. that way killers arent punished in their emblems/BP because RNG decided to make te hatch appear in front of the last guy who did no gens.
-
The Beast
The Chained
The Wolf
-
If I'm using DL, I already slug the obsession when they're on death hook. if I lose a token just for hooking them, they'd be slugged the entire match.
-
Right? Easily their biggest DLC yet he's a pay to lose character.

I love playing against killers like you, countering your playstyle feels like a chess game. I think it's the best at the moment, with my build I can track you but 90% of the survivors in the lobbies get easily annihilated by this strategy at the moment because they don't know how to counter that yet.
Ever go against Oni with Renjiro's glove, Splintered Hull and Sloppy butcher? They leave blood orbs all over the place like little aura mines. They never get to heal either cause I won't allow it.
-
Killers address already leaving the game so fast, that bhvr is removing ranked matchmaking. Now you want to meet their meta perks even more. Lol never going to learn.

But they changed the achievement for Legion, didnt they?
Yes.
-
I like jumping between different survivors in the middle of chases, then going back to the first one. it works well because you throw them all off constantly. I've also been using lots of killers with high information and/or work well with thana/dying light.
-
Because there is no MMR score. they're just deleting ranked matchmaking and claiming there's a secret score so new survivors and dumb veterans will fall for the "BHVR works in mysterious ways" excuse. that's the only way they can fix queue times now that killer mains are leaving, since they wont balance around mid-high rank or SWF.
-
@helix43 said:
Yeah, it sounds like they're just going to remove ranks and match us with anyone, while claiming we're being matched via skill.
this. There's no reason to hide your own "skill" rating from you, unless it's made up as an excuse. It's so completely transparent. I'm actually surprised they didnt just start putting fake ranks up on the post game scoreboard to placate people annoyed by the disparity.

Give you the achievements, if you don't already have them. Otherwise it's just for bragging rights for the time being.
lol you know those achievements dont exist on console right?
