also, note the fact that killers desperately NEED to multi task, whereas survivors already start with 4 people. so if anything, DS should have its timer reduced, while Pop should stay as is.
-
I turn it off because lag seems to be worse against pc survivors. Lots of swings going straight through them at point blank range.
-
As usual, no explanation as to how or why I'm wrong, just insults. Like I said, I've had this discussion before.
-
As a killer, there seems to be an increase in lag against PC survivors. Like, your weapon goes RIGHT through them, and they don't get hurt. So I turn off crossplay as killer. Not my fault they can't get this game working right.
-
I propose a rework to overcharge. When the killer kicks a gen, he receives a skill check, and if successful, the gen gets "overcharged" for 60 seconds, and the next survivor to touch it during that time gets instantly downed. This can be used 4 times per game, to match the 4 DS strikes possible per game.
There would be no indication the perk is in game, and Any survivor who doesn't like it has the option of not tunnelling gens.
I've proposed this quite a lot, always to the rage and fury of survivors in forums. Yet now we have Dragon's grip, which is a weaker version of my suggestion that isn't the direct equivalent of DS I designed. It doesn't last as long, and also requires the killer to have the skill to catch you with a basic attack before the times runs out and stay close enough to that gen to take advantage, with a longer cooldown to boot. Kind of makes you wonder why DS can't get those limitations, huh?

Put your survivor on a diet.

Really really.

What is the tune to?
I will follow him, best known from Sister Act.

🎵 I will Tunnel him
🎵 Tunnel him wherever he may go
🎵 And camping I Always shall be
🎵 For nothing can keep me away
🎵 He is a teabagger

That's why mercy is a mistake.

Looping has always been luck based for killers. even the act we call "mindgaming" is nothing but luck in guessing what the survivor will do. Even the best streamers fail as often as succeed. watch them live, instead of the videos they upload, and you'll see that it's true. Survivors have the powwer role in looping, and killers have to rely mostly on luck for the non-see-through loops.
Survivors are mad that Spirit turns this around on them.

I think they tend to do it because it can be a lot harder to actually secure kills on console with the awful performance and getting spun real easily. That, combined with the utter hate they get in their inboxes, they probably feel like having anything resembling mercy is a fool's errand.
This is the major issue, yes.
-
"tunneling" is just a term for hunting and killing survivors, which is the killer's one and only objective. he's supposed to be rewarded for that. And they aren't supposed to be immune from being hurt just because they already got hurt.
as for "camping" PH is specifically designed so that he has trouble camping. he cant see where the cage appears. And as the devs ahve repeatedly stated, camping is an allowed strategy, just one that isn't always very good if the survivors play smart.
-
the "downside" is supposed to be the skill checks themselves requiring skill.
thing is, the devs dont understand that "skill" checks require little to no skill.

Excuse me but there's 7 gens on the map, where else do you want 4 survivors to spawn than near a generator? What the h. Also bro, if the survivor didn't get the little sprint burst after getting hit, some killers would just get two hits in a row in a second, especially with perks or addons that reduce hit cooldowns. This isn't absurd, it's fair. If survivors didn't have the speed burst mechanic, games would last 5 minutes and all survivors would be dead every time.
Also: Spawning next to a generator doesn't magically make the survivor activate it before the killer can arrive. It's actually usually the more sound decision to wait until the killer has passed the gen you've spawned next to before starting it because the killer will often find at least one gen with nearby survivors within the first 10 seconds.
Ah yes, the old argument that, "but then it would be hard and hurt my feelings!"
-
teh base game allows survivors to spawn within 15 feet of a generator the vast majority of the time, which take no skill to do. on top of this, every time a survivor fails to avoid a hit, they are rwarded with a free sprint burst to the other side of the level. every time I point it out, no survivors seem to respond to the absurdity of these mechanics. But they sure do get riled up about one hit down abilities, no matter how much skill is required to use them.
-
no way am I reading all of that LMAO
-
it's always been unacceptably bad since the Clown upddate, but now it's even worse. i have crossplay turned off as killer because of it. there's no reason not to, since PS4 killers have <30 second wait times either way.
-
because the creators dont really play or understand their game at all. you can tell from the comments they make explaining things, and the rare times they play on stream make it clear they are new to it at best.
Look at the perks that are no good, which is most perks. now ask yourself: would this seem like a good idea to a person who's watched the game get played, but didn't actually play themselves? You'll find that usually, the answer is yes. such a person would think that Surge etc. is a good idea.
the same thing happened during Legion's first round of nerfs. they reworked the Bleedout timer so instead of not going down in chases, it wouldn't go down while in the Terror radius. That way, Legion couldn't just abuse the mechanic by moonwalking. So then they suddenly decided the Pig's RBTs should do the same thing. why? they arent similar powers at all, and for the pig to abuse Moonwalking, she has to throw the game by doing it for more than 2 minutes. so the community uproar was just enough to ge them to revert that nerf.
and then look at how they treat perks that apply a debuff when a survivor is hit, like Sloppy Butcher, Franklin's etc.. they're obsessed with this idea that these should not work when the damage is done by a killer's power. Why? why is the Pig's dash or Legion's stab the same as a chainsaw? And why do chainsaws not apply Franklin's, when that's literally what happens in the scenes the perk references? why is Franklin's even the same as Sloppy or third seal?
none of it makes sense. it's all just arbitrarily made up by watchers, not players, who pretend to understand the game.
-
I did this to two guys with 88 in their username earlier. Nazis can get ****ed.
-
what do you mean turning it off doesnt work? I turn it off every time I switch to killer mode with no prob.
btw, the reason I turn it off is because hits have terrible lag on PS4 if you allow cross play. I watch my weapon go straight through them and they just keep running, no injury. good luck fixing queue times with that BS lol

I'd submit that keys and moris would be equalized and balanced with the following changes:
- keys do not spawn from chests. ever.
- the purple key is changed so that it only opens the hatch for ONE survivor. no one else. the red one opens it for all.
- remove the add ons allowing you to keep the key on death, or keep it after it is used to escape.
- the hatch now ONLY spawns if all gens are done, OR if there's only one survivor left.
- add a new offering that allows the hatch to spawn through the old method.
- Nerf the DS/unbreakable combo in such a way that moris are no longer the only counter to them. (Note: NO, letting the survivor go does not qualify as a counter, no more than "don't do gens" is a counter to surveillance or overcharge.)
- IF all that is done, THEN change moris so you can only kill on death hook.
-
yeah I turn off crossplay when I switch to killer mode. there was never any wait time for killer games anyway so it doesnt matter.
-
i agree. the fact that survivors regularly load in and immediately see a generator withing 10 feet of them is unreasonable when killers have to go find their objective with great difficulty AND the survivor's objective is easier to begin with.
-
lol they left the PS4 and Xbox versions with garbage frames since the Clown update. and Cross play just made it worse.
-
oh sure, let's buff the perk that makes you completely immune to a major consequence of being hit with no limitations.
If anything, iron will needs to be nerfed so there's a time limit on not making sound, like that Yui perk that prevents bleeding for 2 minutes only. as if we can actually see blood with these graphics lol.
-
destroying Ruin killed it. the game is just far too easy for survivors once they learn to actually do the gens. especially since the current survivor meta is really just infinite lives with a coat of paint.
I mean, I'm a red rank killer, and I 3-4K most of the time. but the games are so fast and frustrating that I simply do not enjoy the game as much as I used to, even when I win. so I havent played even half as often as I used to, just before the Ruin nerf. thus the awful lobby times for survivors.
I was really looking forward to that MMR feature that gave you a different skill rating for different killers. That way, I wouldn't have been punished for playing well as my mains for 2 hours by being banned from enjoying the game as the other 80% of killers for the rest of the month. But BHVR ######### it up, so back to no more fun again.
-
It's been awful since the Clown update, and has never improved despite promises.
-
HAHAHAHAHA THIS IS BRILLIANT

@NuclearBurrito said:
7 shouldn't be a conditional.
Keys being a problem is no excuse to not fix moris.
they're the equivalent items for both sides, but keys are slightly stronger at the moment and reward people who immerse without doing gens and get their teammates killed. with moris, you at least get rewarded if you hook someone and down them a second time. Come to think of it, maybe a good alternative could be that a key should only work for a player who's been doing gens. like if it gets charged or something?
So yes, it should be conditional.
-
I dont camp and tunnel. I still see DS, UB, DH, and BT on most of the survivors each game. so dont blame me.
-
steps 9 and 10 arent happening.
-
the perk would make more sense if they screamed when entering the locker. that's how an iron maiden works, after all.
-
It's amazing that the playerbase still attempts to apply logic to those who DC. They're just acting out of anger and emotion, not logic.
-
then remove keys from chests, and make it so the hatch wont appear until all gen are done, OR until there's only one survivor left, regardless of how many gens get done.
-
It would explain the Increase in DCs I've been getting in games. even when not playing with oppressive killers and builds.
Neas sure are mad lately.
-
It's kind of mediocre.
-
Because it's one of David's perks. He's designed to be a hard mode character to challenge yourself with. So all this perk does is gives you extra points without helping. Then he has no mither, which is an outright downside. Then there's dead hard, which is great, but is nullified if you have no mither on.
-
I suspect it's already collecting data to start us with when the MMR is switched on.
-
I actually like the idea of a temporary self care.
-
the fact that most are just pallet swaps of an earlier one is foolish. especially since you can get the next one so fast, it's not worth the effort to equip level one in the menu. plus it gets the selection screen way too cluttered.
-
What gets me is the fact it takes an eternity to cancel the saw if you decide it's better to use the hammer instead.
-
Sounds good until you realize it gives the DCer more incentive to DC to help their friends. Which is already a problem with people DCing to open the hatch.
-
then let's not allow DS/UB/DH/BT to be used together. and only one of each per group of survivors.

Its for a reason. There's more profit in forcing you to buy an entire set than a single part. I'd vote with your wallet and don't buy any of them.
The problem with that is, Now I will NEVER buy a different weapon for legion, because to do so, I'd have to drop Robbie the Rabbit, which. Isnt. Happening.
I was legit about to buy that ornate obsidian knife, but I decided to wait because I knew Robbie was coming in 2 days, so I figured I'd hold off JUST in case they were incompatible, which seemed unlikely. and then they were incompatible. so I will never again spend money on Legion skins, after having bought a grand total of ONE.

Only people who don't like it will boil it down like that without further consideration.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/175712/dbd-pulled-a-paladins-with-legendary-skins
Because often legendary cosmetics specifically are supposed to be different characters. I don't see why you should be able to stitch Lisa Garland's head onto Cheryl's body, that's not "fun" that's just weird, grotesque, and morbid in a way.
Not to mention if they start pumping out Legendary Skins that have gender swapping, so say that Hopper was a legendary skin for Nancy for some reason just for the sake of example, you want people to be able to stick Hopper's Mustached face onto Nancy's body? Or Nancy's head on HOPPER'S body???
I get the idea is comical, I'm chuckling to myself right now, but c'mon. No.
they were presented as different characters at first... yet most aren't, so far. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to put Cheryl's dark ahir on the other bodies, for example. I wouldn't have bought it if I had realized it. And I was almost going to buy a different knife for legion, until I realized I'd have to take off Robbie the Rabbit to use the new knife. so there's now zero chance I ever spend money on another skin for Legion, which make no sense because there's no reason Robbie can't hold another weapon; technically he shouldn't have any weapon in the first place. So BHVR shot itself in the foot here.
And then there's that newer Nea skin, which is linked for no reason either; the bug allowing it to change out proves that. Hard to understand, but there's no evidence BHVR is smart.
-
agreed. I shouldn't fail a skill check because my kit ran out.
-
tinkerer for sure. survivors don't have to double up on gens, but they do have to get the gens to 70% at least. So tinkerer is more reliable.
