I DEMAND the developers EXPLAIN why I can't have this rather arbitrary function in MY GAME! I AM BHVR, DO AS I SAY!

I see what your saying....hmmm I'd have to think about it. I don't think tunneling would be too large an issue considering it won't develop why in chase, as for the other ones I think getting a hit and removing it would kind of defeat the purpose of hypotherming them(?) because unlike Plague and her infection, it doesn't develop while in chase but If you think it would work better and be more balanced I can look at it, as for the condition I do kind of like that idea though.
Oh, I don't think anything said it didn't developer during chase. It makes a lot more sense now that I know that lol

Okay so I adjusted it (I have free time on my hands) but before I change it here's what I have come up with, what do you think? After your thoughts, I'll make more adjustments and change add-on's
Hypothermia: When survivors are left too long in the snow, things begin to get harder. When close enough to a survivor you may summon a sharp breeze over the survivor, who will then begin to develop hypothermia. There are three stages of hypothermia.
-Stage one (30 seconds): Survivors begin to release a small shivering sound
-Stage two (45 seconds): Suffer from the hindered status effect and breathing begins to slow but is louder.
-Stage three (1 minute): Breathing has basically stopped, when they do breath it is heavy and survivors can no longer run
Survivors can remove hypothermia by finding 1 of the 3 heaters somewhere on the map and sit in front of it for a standard 5 seconds (an extra 10 seconds for every stage reached) Hypothermia does not develop while hooked, downed, or in a chase.
Cool, I like the change. Much more cohesive. The biggest issue I see: the killer could get someone with hypothermia and if the chase goes on for 60 seconds its a guaranteed down because they stop running. This would encourage tunnelling. What if instead, in stage 3 they can't run for 2 seconds after preforming any interaction. So vaulting and dropping pallets or leaving a generator, totem or locker. Makes it where its not a "guaranteed down" if you tunnel. Also, do you think getting hit should remove hypothermia? And perhaps there should be a condition on when you han inflict it, like maybe you have to have been in a chase for 15 seconds? Just throwing out ideas now, since its a solid power now. None of these suggestions are 100% necessary

Is this supposed to be from the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe?
I will try to read more, but right off the bat the power has too many stages and is quite powerful and complicated. I would reduce the number of stages to 3 that ramp up over a shorter time period and maybe make less heaters

Thank You for the feedback. Hopefully this change makes it easier. I did get a little confused but hopefully it’s where u want it to be. I have also added a backstory which I have to say I am quite proud of. I did a bit of research 😂. Please just let me know what u think. I’ll try and add a survivor sooner or later. 👍🏻
I like the changes!

Rofl, of course you are in the clear buddy. If they 3 gend themselves its not your fault they're to chicken $#!t to try and repair.
-
Mostly not based on lore, but more on killer aesthetic and power
Trapper: pride
Wraith: lust (peeping tom)
Hillbilly: wrath
Nurse: sloth (its easier to kill patients than treat them)
Michael: pride
Hag: sloth (she's slow, doesn't like to chase)
Doctor: pride
Huntress: envy
Bubba: gluttony (he eats people...)
Freddy: lust (damn child molester)
Pig: sloth (reverse bear traps are a lazy way to pressure survivors lol)
Clown: gluttony
Spirit: wrath
Legion: wrath
Plague: envy
Ghost face: lust (also a peeping tom)
Demo: gluttony (he just wants ta eat cha)
Oni: wrath
Deathslinger: greed (bandit vibes)
Pyramid head: wrath
Blight: pride
Twins: sloth (Charlotte sleeps for most of the match)

-Power-
It seems too difficult to use and survivors spreading out can rob you of the power. I would just say remove the stipulation that you have to be looking at multiple survivors, make it a 24, 32, or 40 meter range, and make the speed boost 30-60 seconds or until you hit a survivor. Another cool thing you can do is make it where survivors you injure (maybe add a condition here) can be swapped with even without looking at them for 30-60 seconds.
Swapping = speed boost
Injure = easier to swap
I really like the general idea of the power. With map awareness you can pull a survivor away from a high pallet/window area and into a dead zone, and then cut them off from going to where they want.
-Perks-
First perk is pretty solid
Second perk is too weak. Maybe add chests and/or hatch to the aura reading
I think the 3rd perk should have a little more range, considering the cooldown
-
I love how markiplier is constantly simping for her, its so pure, honest, and perfect
-
When trying to chainsaw in close quarters, get the rev to 90% then feather it. Typically, survivors will start to run circles around you and try to make you sprint off. Feather the chainsaw until they give up on 360ing you and they start to run. That's when you strike.
It is very hard to get close quarters chainsaw hits with billy, so I feel your pain
-
I hate borrowed time because survs will run up and unhook when I never had a chance to walk away and act like they're invincible, and they often get away with it!
I also hate going against boil over because I rely on hook auras a little too much.

I love this idea so much and I am sorry to be such a baby but if this was in the game I'd like to imagine everyone feeding him apples and brushing him after trials ;w;
Like, the killer just have to say "meet up in the basement for pony rides!" For an easy 4k lol
-
That's pretty dope man, could maybe be adapted into a "4 horsemen of the apocalypse" chapter.
Default in pestilence mode, and switch to famine for 30 seconds after performing a break action, war mode after being stunned or injuring a healthy survivor, and death mode after putting a survivor into the dying state. The activated ability changes based on which mode you're in. I may make a full chapter idea out of this thought if that's cool

When it gets here. When you get unhooked. If you repair a gen, heal yourself, cleanse a totem, unhook someone or sabo the hook you will lose your DS. It will still counter tunneling but you can't abuse it anymore. Like if you get unhooked and do a gen in the killer's face, you will lose your DS. You can't get unhooked, save someone and then DS anymore. Lockers still work. You DO NOT lose DS if your team is healing you.
I think its a fair nerf. Still get the anti tunnel, but they can still be healed, can search a chest, open exit gates, use maps and keys, and they can still jump in a locker to make the stun extra long if they know they're gonna get caught. Plus they can do killer specific actions like wake up, mend, snap out of it, cleanse at a pool of devotion, search a jigsaw box, and disarm traps.

I wish they would make the games permanently in the dreamworld, you're facing Freddy, so the entire trial you should be asleep. Then just make his power something he uses to manipulate reality or control the dream since it is his realm.
I mean, that wouldn't feel true to the source material though. It would be a boring movie if it were 100% in the dream world. The whole reason the movie is scary is the thought of "don't fall asleep or you die"
-
@Rareware0192 said:
I’m also not a fan of passive falling asleep either, I feel like it should be something Freddy should work for, especially considering he doesn’t really have to work for much in his kit anyway.
At the very least I thought of increasing the time it takes to fall asleep passively to 90 seconds instead of 60 as 60 feels way too fast. I find that when I wake myself up with an alarm clock it’s not too bad as that makes it 90 seconds.
But yeah if they find a way to make it so that Freddy has to manually make you fall asleep that’d be better.
I don't agree with entirely removing it, but I could see extending the awake time to 90 seconds and 120 if alarm clock was used. Freddy can still get you back to sleep with a razor slap

Killer main here
I like pop goes the weasel, discordance, tinkerer and either nurses, STBFL, infectious fright or MYC, depending on the killer
-
Why is this post be? At least its correctly in the "off topic" category lol
-
Wait, so it had to be the twins then? Otherwise, how would they body block the basement?

Damn, only 143 hours. Well, that's what happens when you have 2 little kids and don't have time to do more than a daily or two at a time

Charlotte actually can't body block a window whilst dormant (if they vault from the other side, it pushes her model out the way), it body blocks the same side though.
Survivors don't seem to realise this yet though and dropping victor whilst blocking one side of a mindgameable pallet scares 'em off well good.
Yeah, its a 1 way block, but still gets me the hit often enough to mention

The fact I can find people by using my shock and the whole anti loop
You might like plague, she gets lots if survivor location pings from infected survivors screaming and cleansing. And once you go corrupt you are nearly unstoppable at loops and snowballing. Plus, corrupt intervention and infectious fright are primo perks. (Idk if you meant free as included with base game or free as in purchase with auric shards)
You also got demo who's shred is great on loops unless they have tight geometry, good mobility and player detection with portals. He just can't stealth due to the stomp stomp of his feet
Legion can easily keep all survivors injured and has decent mobility and can find survivors with killer instinct. He just has trouble downing survivors, but a perk or 2 can help with this. Plus, discordance is my favorite perk.
Freddy travels around well, and uses snares to stop loops and locate survivors. Crap perks though
Oni can find injured survivors easy, has great mobility, and can Insta down. But hard to use.
And, unpopular opinion, the twins are good. Find survivors with victors idle screech, can down survs in quick succession, deny loops by leaving Charlotte body to body block a window, etc. And coupe de grace and oppression are fun to use

Hag is stronger than Billy and is all about predicting things seconds or even minutes before they happen. Hag mains are smart people, which is why there are so few of them. If you play Hag right her traps can easily be used to have more mobility in chase and easily catch a survivor, even in a loop.
Billy can't chainsaw in a loop, so that's where the 115% speed comes in handy.
Not to mention mint rag, which gives her some of the best Mapwide mobility in the game.
When i run it, I put about 6 traps in key areas on the edges of the map and one in the middle. Teleport to one, lay a new one, and move on. And it gives me 3 to use in chase to deny a loop or 2

I just message them before the game. I can see the profiles on Xbox, so I just send em a quick, Hey man, can you take off that key?
Oh, I guess if I put the steam app on my phone, but there's also the xbox and wiiU platforms to worry about (I'm on ps4). That's such a hassle, especially when you spend the pregame coming up with mnemonic devices to remember what player use what character/outfit and what items they have. 60 seconds is barely enough time!
If they added a pre and post game chat for console i would definately do it though
-
I think once a player has total mastery over the power and a great perk build, blight can be low S tier at least. Especially when they fix his low FOV.
-
I like it, but i think baseline solicit chant should be at least 32 meters. Or better yet, within TR so you can use perks to expand her TR and chant range, but if she's undetectable then she can't chant.
-
This was fixed for a while, guess its backed. Usually the lobby is bugged after so you can't see their info
-
@Pulsar said:
A better option is to simply ask them to take off the Key.
If they refuse, but say they have an Archive challenge, let them continue. If they refuse and are toxic, tunnel as normal.
If they do take off the Key, be a little nicer to them. It goes a long way :)
There's no pregame chat for consoles. So us killer mains that aren't a part of the PC master race can only assume ill intent
-
Did you reply and delete the comment? Im confused
-
Yeah, until your killers are rank 50 and you get 4 perk options each time, its rough getting the needed perks
-
Plague is great (aside from the hitbox problem for purge). If you didn't pip or get many bloodpoints, you didn't play perfectly, or the survivors are such potatoes the chases never lasted and they never got rescued from hook. Now, I don't think you shouldn't pip because the survs were really bad, but don't blame plague
-
Was on haddonfield and chasing a survivor on a 2nd floor house yesterday. I accidentally fell in a hole in the floor and the survivor just happened to run down the stairs and i downed them. Uhhh, I meant to do that.
-
What would the killer from the chapter be? Maybe sonething from a prominent Bollywood horror film?
-
Would be nice, but the coding and balance pretexting would take like 6 months if they dedicated the whole team on it. Wouldn't happen

A survivor version of hex totems, like boon altars
Better match making
6-9 second insidious - Basekit
Bug fixes, obviously
Alternate game modes: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/208087/new-game-mode-blood-feud-please-read-and-comment#latest

I'm excited to try an all hex build. TOTH, undying, haunted grounds and devour hope should be fun. Especially on demo, bubba, or other high mobility killers
-
Very interesting build! Not the strongest, but I like it. Very good synergy, especially if on a killer with an already small TR like michael, hag, spirit and deathslinger. I think Michael could use it the best because he could easily reach no TR in evil within 2, and he can pressure survivors off gens at range because they'll run to avoid being stalked.
-
No thank you. 2 is enough (killer main here)
What I would like to see is other power tools. OMG, one of the serial killers from ID: Invaded would be perfect. Tamotsu Fukuda, AKA The Perforator, using a power drill. Okay, ima make this concept right now
-
@Hypn0s said:
I do it for points, not "for kicks". Also while what you did is obviously not reportable, it's a toxic move. You just didn't want to play the gates' guessing/patrolling game. Just stalling the game. It's the same as survivors waiting at the open gates just to t-bag you. Using your twisted logic they could say it's time for you to go around breaking pallets. Don't try to rationalize your toxicity. I'm a killer main btw (which doesn't mean I'll agree with questionable stuff like this looking for validation).
Yeah, im a killer main too, and this is not toxic. You're not holding the game hostage, as the survivor could go do a gen or make loud noises to attract the killer away.
What's toxic is demanding that the killer do something that would be beneficial for you as a survivor. Like, when survivors complain that you left them slugged for 60 seconds to dodge a DS when somewhat close to an open exit. "So, I was supposed to knowingly eat the DS so you could escape?" "So i was supposed to close the hatch when exit gates are miles apart, I'm not a movement killer, I don't know where you are, you're good at stealth, and giving you a guaranteed escape, essentially?"
-
Naw, they just need to nerf keys. Mori nerf was needed, but they were nerfed too hard, imho.
What should have happened to the iri moris and keys:
Mori: once you have hook all survivors at least once, you may kill any survivor by your hand (this way, the mori doesn't promote early game tunnelling and the survivors can counter without keys by heavily protecting at least 1 player from being hooked)
Keys: if at least 2 survivors have been killed, this key may be used to open the hatch. Hatch only spawns when the exit gates are powered, 3 generators have been repaired with only 1 survivor remaining, or 4 generators have been repaired with 2 survivors remaining.

Strong disagree.
If a player is using Blast solely as a tracking tool, then they probably need to go back to the drawing board as killer and relearn basic tracking skills needed across all killers.
Throwing out random Static Blasts with its long cool down leaves it open to risk of not affecting anyone at all.
M&A allows Doc to get closer to someone, and then allow maximum possible coverage for Static Blast once a chase has started (especially with Calm add ons). If you wait until in an actual chase before using Blast, Doc is guaranteed that at least the chased survivor goes up a tier, instead of possibly nobody at all.
But in the case of Calm with M&A, even using the brown add on will jump Docs TR up to 44m in a chase or 28m out of chase. Those are still great TR sizes.
Well, you can use it for what you described. But it can be used as a tracking tool, however, its not super effective without whispers. If I go to an area and whispers turns on but I don't see anyone, I move towards where the whispers origin is and use static blast.
Using blast in a chase can be okay if you just want to top off peoples madness, but halfway decent doctors have no trouble using the m2 ability to do that. Using blast with whispers for tracking is a much more effective use for the "ult"
Dowsey suggested it, and I tried it, and I haven't lost a match with the doctor since. He's one of my top 3 killers at this point. I run tinkerer, discordance, whispers, and STBFL. They can't hide from me, can't double up on gens, can't complete gens without me jumpscaring them, and with STBFL at 8 stacks, I can hit them with shock to deny a window and then smack them 2 times if they try to wait for the ability to vault it.

How is M&A stinky on Doc?
Because your static blast is based on terror radius. So it makes it much less effective unless your chasing someone, but the ability is best used when you are looking for survivors to chase. Also, whispers is good on him because his base TR is 32, just like whispers range. So when whispers turns on, you use static blast to pinpoint their location. M&A screws this synergy up

Not if you also use a fourth perk slot. You can only get adept if you only use their 3 perks, and no other perks.
Ah, gotcha. Close though

Gengar from Pokemon would be interesting.
