In comp three survivors are constantly on gens. What's stopping baby survivors from doing the same?

the problem with clown's blur is that it is useless vs good players because you can still see him. the bad clown player don't even hide their red glow so the fog does nothing because you can see red glow on the floor. purple fog is suppose emulate that flashlight blind effect and there used to be add-on that buffed blur effect but i believe it got nerfed/removed from clown's rework. I think it was garnish kit which is now that yellow bottle boost add-on which is a joke add-on due to yellow bottles being situational to use.
If something being useless against good players is a reason to remove something, 90% of the content should be removed.

Why are you saying that some killers call survivors abusing looping to me? And UW is not related to people's slugging at all. Wait, even slugging isn't toxic...
It's pretty obvious that using a perk or tactics to gain an advantage in the trial is abuse.

The overwhelming majority of killers I've used head-on on tunneled me out of the games I was in. This couldn't be further from reality.
Them sillies. Guess they prefer facing the good ol' MFT + DH + Resi + Adren setup.
-
I haven't the slightest clue.
I don't really care about the results of the trial - my memories are hazy. It's probably low, as I rather go back trying to do an impossible save and die instead of just leaving.
But I think my SWF survival rate is even lower, as I play with sillies. :P
-
Yes! I'm envious of survivors since they got Nic Cage's 'not entirely useless but largely fun meme' perks. I was hoping Chucky will come with a set not unlike those, but I'd say only 'Two Can Play' qualifies.
Still, one is better than none. Hope we'll see similar stuff.

If survivors want to run 3% faster, they only need to use 1 perk slot and be injured.
If the killer wants to move 2.5% faster, they have to play Hag, spend 10's of thousands of bloodpoints to get Waterlogged Shoe, use 1 addon slot, and give up half their killer power.
----
I have 3 chase perks equipped (Enduring, Brutal, and Bamboozle) and STILL have to spend MINUTES getting a down. Meanwhile, it's all undone in SECONDS by a survivor with For the People and Buckle Up. TWO survivor perks are 20x stronger than THREE killer perks, in regards to time. No agency for killer, at all.
You could try Skull Merchant.
Or if you don't mind some aiming and tactical thinking, Clown gets 10% haste while applying 15% hinder without any perks or addons.
-
OP is the reason why prestige should be hidden pre-match.
It's cool. There is a solution for this issue, and I'm sure it's around the corner.
-
I hard tunnel when I'm having a sweaty phase. Though nothing personal, and I don't discriminate. I just go after the first one I see.
-
10 meters is not too much in dbd terms. Survivor players tend to be familiar with Kindred's aura revealing range - that works in a 16m radius around the hook.
-
She's fine. What you experience is only a common skill issue.
Learn to play against m1 killers with no map mobility, long range pressure or projectile attacks!
-
I highly doubt there's any argument about dbd that is 'generally accepted'.
Those that may appear as such are rather just so bad that more knowledgeable players don't even bother trying to explain how terrible takes those are.

She can still place drones directly next to gens, and if you disable drones i'm sure she knows like before. She still annoying to go against like... cenobite, hag and knight. But I haven't read up on her patch notes but she still seems annoying to go against, the 1 hour match thing is obviously better tho
Just my opinion, dont come for me tho lol. But thats my thoughts after facing her a few times since.
Also note that you don't have to disable the drone to work on gens - staying still also makes you invisible to the beam, like crouching does.
You give the impression that it isn't Skull Merchant that annoys you, but being oblivious to her mechanics.
-
Working with the opposing team or griefing is listed as a temp-ban worthy offense.

Yes, let's give him trickster treatment and make him even more miserable in chase while not giving him any map control
This, but unironically. As a Clown-main, I do struggle with the lack of map-mobility or any sort of global presence. But 'fixing' that would strip him of his identity. While I feel op's suggestion is too much, the direction of the thought is good. Mr Chase is an excellently designed killer, he only needs to do more of what he already does. And extra bottle, or even just more flexibility in changing bottles would go a long way.

The only mode we have is ranked. Just rankings are hidden.

Artist was the first killer ti have a power that would force you to leave a loop or outplay the killer. You would need ti know where to place your crows and then predict and time correctly.
But no no, that wasn't enough for killers. They need to press a button so survivor is then forced to leave whatever loop the killer desires.
Knight and Skullmerchant should not even exist.
Sounds like Trapper to me.
-
I played him a lot, but can't get to touch him anymore. I don't even feel he's weak, he just feels too clunky and mechanically intensive. Kinda' the same way Twins are.
If bdb only had 8-10 killers I'd play him, but got so many more options.
-
Plague.
I'm not even among those people who gets nauseous from the vomiting and the sounds. I just don't find it jolly, and rather play anyone else. Got all her perks from the shrine, so I'll happily never get her.
-
My only problem with it is that it hides scratch-marks.
It's okay, you countered my perk / addon, but why should it also counter the basekit way of tracking?
-
The problem with indie horror is that it's not iconic, as only very few people know them.
But if you are secretly looking for recommendations, my favorites in the past years were Darkwood, Inscryption and Duskers.

Last I remember killers don't have a team so if solo is a skill issue then what are you saying about killer mains?
We are Skill Issue Incarnate by nature.
But there is a counter. Skill Issue is a paradox thing: once you know you have it, you don't have it anymore. Until you think you don't have it anymore, because then it manifests again.
Schrödinger's Skill Issue.

Being solo is a skill issue.

Because Killers have never had a perk nerfed and stopped seeing use. That's why Ruin is still seen every game and killers are still using Eruption/CoB/Overcharge every match.
Wait, are you saying you only ever see killers using these very four perks?
You give the impression that you just make up stuff. The perk usage stats the devs shared definitely don't back your claim.

Many aspects about her are definitely frustrating to me. The almost constant undetectable status on top of her zone control is frustrating. I especially don't like that claw traps don't go away over time, making drones in tight spaces like a hallway essentially unassailable without becoming injured and broken, or without becoming hindered while connecting from one loop to the next. Especially when you factor in how her drone will damage you even if you're looping her well and not getting hit and eventually hinder you, you're looking at a killer that can essentially sneak up on you, get a free hit, zone you and hinder you all due to the ability to hit m2. I'm not a top tier survivor so I'm sure there is good counter play but again I think it requires near perfect coordination. As someone who regularly swfs I can say it isn't something just being in a swf can counter. We all have to be playing tip top and have better map knowledge than we all possess to give proper callouts.
Claw traps last for 45 seconds.
Op says everyone is on her radar "almost 100% of the time", that suggests he doesn't know about crouching / staying still to avoid detection.
I feel at this point it's safe to ignore criticism as people have yet to discover (or look up) her specifics and counterplay.

Nope, the whole match lasted under 10 min I think. One of my teammates just gave up after they were first time hooked and went AFK and honestly I don't blame them when someone brings all these things (can't get any worse).
But at least the Nurse player got what they wanted. Ezi free quick win on auto-pillot difficulty.
Morale issue.

I have never betrayed a poop. If they're brave enough to attempt it, the may scamper off while I hunt another.
Frankly I don't even mind a hit. It's in the cards anyways, and even a quick boop costs valuable killer-time while three others are doing gens. I might as well give it back by getting healed.
I also quickly and respectfully run away to signal that I want no special treatment. First and foremost we came for a trial.
-
I pull my self together, crouch, and approach to boop the snoot.

Should make it an option. I don’t have any issues with lobby dodging for being a p100. If you want to hide yours, should be your choice, not everybody else’s.
Note that it isn't primarily an issue of p100 survivors - it's an issue for everyone. It's been confirmed that once someone leaves a lobby, the system backfills it with random players in the queue.
Hiding prestige before the trial would result in better matchmaking accuracy.
-
It took me -many- trials to make peace with that combo as a killer player. It's absolutely infuriating.
On the other hand, hook-denial (aka bully) squads are still more fun than a gen-efficient pre-run team. But they are too easily countered by tactical slugging. I can live with them being more well-rounded.

I don't know but i've checked today she has 70% killrate on nightlight, I know small sample size but we've seen many times nightlight is always close to bhvr stats...
one thing I would change are lock on stacks never regressing, it's weird you can keep 2 stacks for 20min it should regress at some point, she's a bit overtuned imo needs a few adjustements
Too bad we don't know what percentage of survivors know that drones do nothing to a stationary or crouched target.
My wild guess wouldn't be a very high number.

I gather information. Which teammates are where, If I see on the hud that Tapp has a gen 90% done and saves me then I know where I'm heading after the unhook. I can see where the killer went and who if anyone they're chasing so I stay away from them. I see which others are injured so I can help them. There is a lot of useful info to gather on the hook.
I can do that while flapping my arms too.
Multitasking!

I know they are slow and criticizing that is appropriate. But I dont think they will be this slow?
In before they nerf the Endurance effect on it to 6/7/8s. Or replace it with another haste.
-
Are you suggesting that capitalizing on mistakes and allowing free unhooks + heals should be equally efficient?
Some would be real interested in how do you imagine that should be done.

Here is the story of the cutest and most heroic Leon I ever met:
So I start my first chase on Erye when I spot him standing in the middle of the main road at the farther end. True P0 rookie. He's staring at me like he was in Western duel. I'm curious what he wants, so I drop my chase and start walking straight towards him.
He's not budging, but immediately drops the flashbang at his feet. It blows up out of range (I never even knew it had a range). Leon doesn't falter - he whips out the flashlight, aiming at me menacingly. Naturally I turn away without slowing down and get my hit.
Of course he survived the trial. He even got a flashlight save later - I only had to strafe a bit to correct his aim. :]
-
Blight Serum!
Sorry, it's hard enough to adapt to the actual balance changes, don't want to come up with my own on top of that. But I already miss Blight Serum even though there's one more week to use it. I want more blighted rushes! 🤡
-
But... tunneling has a consequence: 33% basekit slowdown for the rest of the match (if successful).
-
I have the impression that the anti-facecamp feature eliminated facecamping.
For some unfathomable reason it didn't eliminate proxy-camping, tunneling, whiffing, flashlights, bad maps, wars and famine - not to mention a billion other things some people consider a problem. I wonder what could be the reason.
-
Also..
Why the hell does it hide scratchmarks? You just countered my ability I spent an entire perk-slot on, fulfilled it's activation-requirement.. why does it need to counter my basekit tracking tool too?
-
Fun theory: matchmaking works better than the vast majority of dbd players think.
If we accept that as a working theory, we'll find that killers who tunnel need to tunnel, while killers who don't tunnel don't need to tunnel, as both groups will largely get similarly efficient opponents.
-
I'd rather say... slugging everybody is not the only kind of snowballing.

Remember that scene from the movie when there's so many of them that they climb the wall on each others bodies? It happens all the time in the game. It's like L4D, just with a massive multiplier on their numbers.

It's not anecdotal. Last year when BHVR released killrates they did admit that solo and SWFs have different escape rates. They just didn't offer separate escape rates for all cases (solo, 2 SWF, 3 SWF, 4 SWF) which would make it easier to translate to something, but they did admit the difference can be up to 15% in escape rate.
Also according to you we should not be taking seriously killers at all when they claim SWFs might have an advantage and make their game harder for them, after all it's anecdotal and they cannot know when they play SWFs.
Some would say "up to 15%" is not "a lot more" as the user I was replying to claims.
Otherwise I agree with you on your assessment about killer perspective. SWF is the baseline, solos just decide to give us an advantage. :]

You can also completely ignore the downside of being injured by 99ing a heal. Just tap heal if the killer gets too close to get a full heal state. The reality is, there is no downside to having MFT.
Umm, more than a full health-state, as MFT grants you Endurance on top of that.
Please don't tell this to survivors - very few seem to realize just how broken MFT actually is.
