  • Nope, just hate the fact the guy can't control his rage for ######### and has to scream and earr*pe me every 3 seconds.

I try so hard to play by "the survivor rule book" to avoid toxicity but I agree, some people deserve it.

Please dude, drop all that "survivor rulebook" bullshit lol

  • Doctor, Deathslinger and Blight are hands down the top 3 most intelligent/educated killers.

After those obvious 3 I'd say Trapper, Hillbilly, Myers and Clown are actually smarter than they look.

And then all the rest ranges from ordinary to very low intelligence.

  • I hope not. Enough Japanese killers already.

This game's called Dead By Daylight not Dead By Yamaokas.

  • Anton Chigurh from No Country For Old Men

    Special power: "Call it"

When Anton comes near you he flips a coin and, after he orders you to "call it", you have to choose between heads or tails.

If you win Anton will compliment you by saying "Well done." He then walks away and the match results in a instant escape with every emblem maxed out.

If you lose Anton will automatically Mori you by shooting you were you stand with his shotgun resulting in a instant death and crash to desktop.

  • I'd also love if with time they'd introduce different mori animations for the same killer.

But then I remember that after 5 years they still haven't even updated the moris of the original 3 lol.

After the camping comes the toxicity from surv and killer sides. Camping its the only one that I don't agree cuz theres no way to avoid it, its the only one survivors can't do anything even with bt against bubba. This community is one of the worst I ever known in every aspect, theres cool people but the rest is lots of toxic players. Killers can camp and have this not fair hitboxes, and survivors just have to accept them? And don't tell me "devs already said it will get fixed in the next patch" cuz it won't, if they didn't fixed hitboxes since 2016 it will be not now that it will get the fix.

Jokes on you, go watch some DbD developers twitch streams and you'll see even them camp in certain matches as killers.

They stated multiple times it's a valid strategy and a genuine part of this game.

You either accept it or you leave. Stop whining.

  • Awful idea that has already been suggested for years.

Devs tried that, turns out it's so easily exploitable (what a surprise) they decided to scrap it immidiately.

  • Everything that isn't a Survivor or a Killer is the Entity.

Therefore, crows aren't "servant" of the Entity but a manifestation of the Entity itself just like everything else in the trial is like gens, hooks, trees, walls etc.

They're not living being on their own like Killers and Survivors.

  • Sigh... If I had a cent for every time I've read the whole "why David doesn't fight back and defeats the Legion" argument I'd be a billionaire by now.

The answer is simply because all Legion members are empowered by the Entity, granting them super human resistence, strength and power.

They'd be easy to defeat in combat in the real world (at least Julie and Susie for sure) but not in the Entity's one.

  • I too liked those comments a lot, expecially because they were the only info we got of the killers from an actual survivor point of view.

I bet they just got lazy and forgot to add them past spirit. Thanks BHVR.

  • And he's jailed. What a surprise.

  • Don't worry, leaks clearly reveled a while ago devs are actively coding AI controlled killers/survivors.

In about a year or so there will not even be a need for real humans to play as killers. Can't wait to T-bag and bully an AI killer into oblivion.

  • Is there even anyone who still takes this guy seriously anymore in here?

Sounds like ya have McDonalds internet bc it took less than a minute for me. :P

Sounds like you don't know what you're talking about. A lot of people (me included) have this problem, and can download 98 MBs in less than 10 seconds.

It's just the process after the download is completed that takes forever and happens only with DbD and no other game.

It has nothing to do with the connection's quality and speed.

Not to mention the fact that after EVERY major update the game gives an error to some people forcing them to verify the game files and download several GB of files again, with the same problem of taking ages to unpack/verify and install after it is download. I remember it even happed to McLean once during one of his streams. Oh well, must be his McDonald's connection I guess.

Killers are cry babies. They complain a lot. This is the reason this game it's not fun anymore. Devs are stressed out by how much killers are complaining about everything, and devs decided to make the game easier for them and harder for survivors. If the killer don't make 4k he/she starts to cry on this forum.

    🤡🤡🤡

  • I seriously wonder why obvious and useless bates like this aren't closed immidiately and the troll isn't punished in any way.

  • As someone who struggles with anger management problems, the best advise is probably to just stop playing when you get angry for the first time. Finish the match and don't start another one because if you get angry again a second time it will be even worse than the first. Or just don't play this game altogether.

I know it's probably not what you want to hear, but at least that's what I did, and now I'm back after a 3 years break lol.

  • Huntress wins on brute force, yes. But what people seems to forget is that Deathslinger doesn't have the brain of a mentally underdeveloped 5 year old girl.

The guy's in fact, a total genius. Pretty sure he would find a way to outsmart her easily. Raw power isn't everything in a fight.

And regarding the huntress tome video, I'd doubt Deathslinger's tactic would be to just brainlessly run at her and get beaten to death like those soldiers did. Nobody would truly behave like that.

  • [This comment will appear after it is approved by a moderator]

  • I knew it just by reading the title that this was gonna be a stupid post.

  • I only watch Tru3talent and McLean

  • Nah, I don't think he's Hispanic and it wouldn't fit very much for him to be one Imo.

  • Yes.

For what we know trapper could as well be the last killer taken by the Entity. The release order IRL doesn't matter in the slightest in the lore.

So there are most likely killers and survivors that have been taken before the ones we have now that haven't been introduced to us yet.

  • Meanwhile, on the other hand, a "git good" is probably the nicest thing killer players see being said to them by the opposite side on a daily basis.

  • A killer with a flamethrower as his main power.

Flamethrowers are among the most frightening and evil weapons ever used in human history, it would fit a DbD killer very well. And of course he has to wear a cool gas mask along with it.

No thanks, all the great atmosphere and mystery surrounding slenderman would be totally ruined once you see him carrying a screaming Feng in full Bunny outfit over his shoulder before hoisting her onto a hook. Or getting dead harded through a pallet and teabagged by a shirtless David King and proceeding to M1 the wall in frustration.

I see your points but then again, much bigger horror figures like Myers, Freddy or Leatherface can get that treatment as well.

  • I too would love having Slender man in this game. Dunno if we'll ever get him tho...

  • All I'll say is that Susie is mine and mine only. Cheers.

  • Feng, Nea and Yui.

3 big overused, overrated and ugly characters.

  • You are totally free to play as stealthy as you want. Expecially when I'm playing Doctor.

  • Happened to me too these last 2 bug fixes patches.

Had to verify the game files, about 7 to 10 corrupted files get found, and then I have to install 5 to 6 GB again out of nowhere.

Thank god I have a steady 5.5/6 Mbps of speed so it only takes me a bit more than 10 minutes. It's still pretty annoying tho.

  • Well since this was necro'ed again for some reason, I'll say I too really really like this theory.

And it can still hold true more than a year later in December 2020 as far as we know.

  • I really like a lore theory that circulated around here some time ago called "Entity touched eyes".

What this theory basically says is that the killers with glowing white eyes (more specifically the wraith, hillbilly, spirit and deathslinger) don't see the actual survivors but people they hate instead.

So deathslinger for example doesn't see Dwight, Meg, Claudette ect... But the bullies that bullied him in the past and all the executives that took advantage of him like the prison warden, Bayshore and all his assistants.

This is also hinted at the end of Caleb's lore where it is said that inside the fog he saw the bullies, executives and Bayshore and the hooks for being able to dispose them.

So following this theory Hillbilly would probably see his parents, Chief and all the police officers that caged and made fun of him instead of raising and protecting him.

Wraith would see all the soldiers willing to kill innocent people he despised so much as a kid and obviously Azarov and all his assistants that turned him into an executioner without him knowing.

Spirit would probably see the bullies that beated and insulted her at school and her father as well.

Also as some side notes I personally have regarding these killers:

I don't know why but Deathslinger always striked me by his lore as someone that wouldn't kill innocent people just for the sake of it but only people that wronged him in the past. With this I'm not saying he is a good person because he clearly isn't as he enjoys the torture of his victims but I still wouldn't see him just going out in the streets and start shooting at random people just for the fun of it.

And with the recent Hillbilly tome I have the same sensation for him too. He seems extremely angry at the police officers and his parents exclusively. In his head however, he 100% understands the meaningless carnage he was doing and was tired of it, wishing his life was completely different and wishing he received some love like all the other kids did from their parents. He also even seems to understand that killing is generally a bad thing and after his liberation from his parents and police officers he would rather continue his life without killing. e

Regarding the wraith we all know how mad he was when he realized he was killing innocent people at the scrapyard so I don't need to say more about him.

Just saying that they do what they do because they made a deal with the Entity just doesn't cut it. Sooner or later Wraith would realize that he is being used by the Entity to kill innocents like Azarov did and Hillbilly and Deathslinger would too as well realized they are being taken advantage of like they were in the past by the parents/police officers/bayshore/prison warden. And all of them would hate it and refuse to be exlopited again by someone (or something) else, making the job of convincing them more difficult for the Entity. Way more difficult than just "modify" their eyes and deceive them into thinking they're killing the people they hate the most instead. Way simpler and faster than torturing into submission as well.

So this "Entity touched eyes" theory would perfectly explain why these killers that wouldn't really hurt innocent people that have done nothing wrong to them just start killing everybody without any hesitation or regret.

This theory is 100% a headcanon I have regarding the game because it fits so perfectly.

  • With only AI controlled killers to go against.

  • Back in 2018 nobody predicted the alchemist to be released in later years as a killer.

So the Obersever becoming a playable killer in the future isn't impossible imo.

  • When I play survivor I'm always a blendette main.

The amount of times killers get so close to me I could point at them and tough them and they still don't see you is astonishingly high.

The trick is obviously knowing what the killer's FOV allow them to see and what not.

If you play killer enough you'll know their FOV is pretty limited so under certain circumstances you can literally hide under their nose or crouch right next to them and get away with it.

Still, this usually works against average killers, not against the very top killer players.

  • When you whine like a baby regarding killers but even survivor mains disagree with you, you know you're dead wrong OP.

    Lore here we go

    Protagonist:Vigo, Archives dude

Side characters: the killers and survivors

    Mentor: Benjamin Baker

Antagonist: the alchemist, The entity, the Nea

That would be all important characters

Who's Benjamin? The son of Benedict Baker?

  • The fact that is a hex AND has a cooldown should mean it's main effect is very very strong.

But in reality the perk is a hex with a cooldown and its effect is mediocre at best.

    @En3ermost,

Their bodies would obviously be seen by others as dead in the real world but DbD characters are not actually dead as being in whatever there is in the afterlife.

So, some DbD characters are more like spirits in afterlife, while their dead bodies in real life/canon? Then what about the bodies which wasn't found in real world? Like, Adam or Jane? This heavily implies that Entity is transfers body, not mind.

What i'm suggesting - Entity ressurected the dead ones AFTER they were seen dead by others.

Also, not really related, but y'know all this stuff that "Death is not an escape" is supposed to mean something. Entity can ressurect dead people ATLEAST inside own realm.

    ...

Ok, I still can be wrong, since DbD lore is vague as fog. And I'll admit that I wrong, IF you give the source of this statement you made:

And on top of all of this, there's still the statement by the devs themselves saying the Entity can't abduct and resurrect dead people.

Devs saying the Entity can't abduct dead people was in one of the million Dev Streams they did years ago.

I obviously don't remember which one exactly.

If Victor was really brought back from the dead and the one we have isn't a recreation however, that statement was retconned and is no longer valid.

But at the end of the day we can't know. Probably not even the lore writers know.

Tapp is died, acording to SAW franchise. He even had funeral in one of the movies. Pig, obviously, couldn't survive bullet to her throat in movie and continue killing in DBD. Bill was found already dead by L4D2 survivors.

Also, Look at Spirit again and say that she wasn't ressurected. Try to do it with serious face.

I wonder why you speak if you know absolutely nothing?

Dead by daylight is obviously not canon to the Saw franchise and Left 4 Dead series, so of course in their own movie and other games they are dead. It's not like they predicted their partnership with DbD back in 2004 when Saw came out and 2008 when L4d came out LOL.

Still doesn't change the fact that the Entity picked them just before they experienced death. Their bodies would obviously be seen by others as dead in the real world but DbD characters are not actually dead as being in whatever there is in the afterlife. They're trapped in another dimension out of space and time in the Entity's realm. Other living beings can't notice or know that obviously.

From the Pig's official Dbd's lore:

"Bleeding out on the tiled floor, darkness engulfed Amanda's vision, accompanied by a sound like creaking wood. Then she was in a forest, once more viewing the world through the eyes of a Pig. Trees surrounded her, their branches clawing at her from all sides. Waves of panic washed over her and she could hear her breath reverberating inside the mask."

As you can (hopefully) understand, she wasn't dead yet before being taken by the Entity, just very very close to dying. As her view was becoming darker and darker due to imminent death, the Entity approached and took her. She never experienced death itself.

From the Spirit's official Dbd's lore:

"A dark Fog slowly veiled her eyes, but it could not subdue her rage. She would not rest--not yet. The darkness whispered, promising blood and revenge.

An oath was made and Rin closed her eyes."

Again, Spirit's was obviously still alive when she made the pact with the Entity, and she too was abducted just before dying. Proof to this is how would she feel rage if she was already dead?

Now, of course after she was taken her body would appear dead in the real world by other people, but she never experienced death itself because she was taken by the Entity just before that. Same exact thing happened to Pig, Bill and Tapp.

Regarding Spirit's appearance, she is obviously kept alive despite the injuries by the Entity’s powers but she has not been resurrected because, as her own official lore heavily implies, she never expericed death to begin with.

And on top of all of this, there's still the statement by the devs themselves saying the Entity can't abduct and resurrect dead people. A statement in which I personally still believe in as I believe that the Victor we have is not the real one but just a recreation made by the Entity itself. The real Victor is long dead and unable to be abducted by the Entity because he is deceased.

Trust me, the only thing that is hard to do while keeping a straight face is reading your comments but if you choose to believe they died and were all resurrected despite the official lore and game devs saying otherwise, you're free to do it.

  • @Rattman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1788166#Comment_1788166

Think about it like this: even IF Entity can't ressurect people, she don't really need to, since she obviously can travel through time and space. She can easily return in time to the point where suspect was alive and snatch him.

But, well, thing is... Entity CAN ressurect people. Spirit, Pig, Bill and Tapp say hello.

Spirit, Pig, Bill and Tapp were all taken by the Entity just mere seconds before death. Same as Hag and probably Oni too.

They never died, and they were never resurrected.

Closest case of resurrection by the Entity we have is Victor, but a lot of theories suggest it may actually not be the real one and just a recreation made by the Entity itself. So maybe it's not resurrection even in Victor's case.

  • I got the leaked upcoming 4.4.2 bugfix patch notes of next week over here guys:

    - fixed an issue causing Killers to be able to hook and kill Survivors.

    - nerfed Coup De Grace's lunge bonus from 40/50/60% to 5/10/15%.

This is EXACTLY the problem. We have one of the most expensive items in the blood web that is now complete garbage. I'd rather them be gone completely as they are now simply in the way in the blood web. Ultra rares should be good by their very definition, not literally the worst item you can receive.

Making mories grant a lot of bloodpoints for each kill done with it would easily fix the fact that ebonys are now are utter garbage.
