But they are responsible for my experience. If they designed the game, which gameplay is:

    10s chase

2min doing nothing (other players can play the game)

    exit the match prematurely.

then yeah, it IS their fault.

Game design IS game developers responsibility.

Game Designers are responsible for the Design of the Game, not the play of the player.

Please record your self playing Survivor, idd love to watch it.

How can i NOT feel cheated if i didnt know that before buying the game? Nowhere devs said that most of the time i will be hanging on the hook and doing literally nothing. People finds doing gens boring. Boring for me is being in a chase for 10s and then spend 2mins on hook. If You thinbk this is a funny gameplay... or gameplay at all... then i dont know what to say... its worst game design i ever saw. Imagine counter strike, where after being shot in a head 10s after spawn, you cannot respawn for rest matches (you cant even spectate). Imagine if respawn time in lol is not dependant on match time, and you see grey screen for same few minutes after first 30s in game because you was ganked (imagine you cannot even look anywhere except your body). In every game, especially games that try to be competetive, p[layers are allowed to PLAY untill the end. Here its not only removing you from the game prematurely, its worse - this game forces you do literally do NOTHING and wait to be removed from the game prematurely.

Nowhere devs said that most of the time i will be hanging on the hook and doing literally nothing.

bHVR is not responsible for your lack of ability to game.

As solo player, who bought the game to have fun, and chill infew moments in the day i can spare on video games, i feel cheated by the devs who dont want to remove those tactics from the game. Maybe efficient teams in high mmr, sweaty teams in turnaments etc. can deal with it. But if im solo player, having 20min to play a game, ends up on a hook, and then once again untill i die, and my gameplay is basically just looking how hook progress rise, with killer wandering near the hook (yes anti face-camping mechanics do not help with that even tho killer does not allow for unhook) i just feels bad, cheated, robbed with my time and money. this is only my feedback. Maybe there ae people who enjoy doing nothing. Im just not one of them.

How can you feel cheated when its pretty clear to anyone who play the game a few times that Camping and Tunneling is pretty much a reality of playing a game like this? That is 100% unreasonable and downright an impossible scenario.

You knew Camping and Tunneling could happen, and yet you kept playing and now you are sour about a thing being in the game which should have made you stop playing, but you didn't. This has nothing to do with the game or the developer.

It has to do with you being indecisive. You cant blame that on anyone else, than yourself. The developers didn't deceive you.

  • Why not just buy the extra skin via the store as usual? Why do they need to create bundles which would confuse the general playerbase?

  • Septic Touch is one of those perks that only seems good if you have nurses calling or you go back to the hook often.

    I dont get it.

i took a 2 months breather just recently. so stop pretending its my fault. as a good player i can tell when the game is unwinnable, while you are in your illusion of trying to survive when there is no hope. enjoy while you can.

A two months breather wont change that you don't accept to play the game the way it is. This has nothing to do with fault. If your grandma is beating you in Scrapple, do you quit then too? No we should not because we play the game, even if we might lose.

You can play this game with a competitive mindset or casual mindset, but you should not play with a quitter mindset. That's all.

Maybe it's their 5th match of being hooked and tunneled straight after being hooked (which is 90% of games now btw). I agree sometimes people give up too early but sometimes I get it. Sometimes you've ran the killer for a little bit and nothings been done and you lose patience. 🤷🏼‍♀️

That does not matter, I play this game causally and relaxed. But Ill still fight the Killer to my last breath when playing Survivor. I don't care if I die first, my team's survival is dependent on every little bit I can do. Its a fight or die game.

If you feel like giving up when things go sour then you should not play, this game is 50% a match going sour. You NEED to get used to that at some point. Every player should know this.

  • Myers need a rework and changes to his addons.

The Insta Kill addons are always a funny haha meme, but its obnoxious to play against.

  • I strongly dislike the moment when your team-mates give up super easily instead of going down with a fight.

If you cant handle the heat, a Bot which probably plays better than you is willing to take the fight up if you cant.

And if you give up too much, Maybe its time to stop playing and take a breather.

  • Seriously? If they are invulnerable they can stand and teabag in the Killer's face without consequences. I thought this would be obvious, but I guess not.

  • Giving Survivors invulnerability is a bad idea, they will abuse it.

I find this comment funny because it's the opposite of my view. Jeff and Adam are some of my favorite survivors because I think they're likeable decent guys with good designs and sympathetic everyman backstories. Meanwhile I think Feng is a cringe-inducing "How do you do, fellow kids?" embarrassment of a character who only sells on sex appeal.

idk if Idd call Feng having sex appeal, everyone I have seen talk about her says shes cute gamer. I only play Killer myself.

  • Can you show a clip of you playing against her?

  • I agree, I want a random perk option in the perk menu. Surely that cant be hard since you already have the Rift Challenge Made?

  • I agree bHVR has a problem with Killer weapons taking up too much of the screen, they should lower the weapons to just be slightly off screen. Nobody who is a murder machine keeps their weapon within vision range all the time. I realize bHVR wants to show the Killer the cosmetics they have. but at times its disrupting gameplay, its incredibly annoying to a point that I will buy cosmetics that obstruct my vision less.

Killer Weapon Vision Obstruction is the Dark Clothes Cosmetic Problem for Killers, except it does not help us it limits us.

The solution is that bHVR should lower the weapon on ALL Killer screens, that is a big task-

  • bHVR really want to try with a small solution first before they go ahead and do what we asked them for on the PTB Feedback Forum.

    1. replace all reload speed addons, because they are too good to let any other choice be viable.
    2. rebalance the killers default reload speed.

Have you seen whats going on with Huntress reload speed atm? it changed nothing but buff the worst instances of her.

Play Deathslinger for 100 hours or watch deathslinger streamers, you know reload addons are the best.

bHVR needs to stop making addons that end up becoming the default choice every time, please address the killer's issues instead of letting us fix it ourselves by only playing with a certain addon combo EVERY GAME FOREVER. OR Perk combo, perks should not buff reload animation.

  • Yeah, sometimes the blinds are coming from an invisible angle. How can Killers protect themselves from invisible blinds.

  • I never seen anyone use Thwack, its so bad.

But unironically making Ultimate Weapon based on hooks isnt a bad idea, this would mean you could max have 11 uses per match-

  • Almost everybody loves Feng, Jeff enjoyers are more rare than most other Survivors- Feng has a popular idea as her design core, the Esports Player/ Gamer. Headstrong personality. Jeff is like an Artist, uhm and he likes music, like do you know how little that says to me. Adam Francis says even less to me, a teacher in Japan okay so uhm what?

Its a problem with some Survivors not having a personality or is something that resonates with people or has sex appeal.

If a Survivor has none of those its sold dead in the water, at least Killers have a power to play if you don't like their design or story.

Like Jonah, hes a math guy, like.. hes not high on my list.

  • The perks need a circle to show you and your team-mate the edge of the perk deactivation.

  • bHVR spends 7 years designing the game around 4 Survivors.

    Adds 1 more.

    Balance would be so bad.

So does Ghostface, or Wraith, or Myers in t1. The terror radius completely disappearing really is not the problem because even though Myers has like 16m in t2 if you use dead rabbit and or monitor you are at like 12-6 m heartbeat, which is basically non existent from the standpoint of reacting to it, while he moves a full speed. Meanwhile pig is just drastically slowed down and cannot even attack during her crouch and her fov is limited because she is so low to the floor.

Pigs stealth aspect is probably the worst in the game, and like I said before I would argue that even Myers has better stealth.

You could definitely sell me on pig upgrades. I love playing Ghostface atm, hes super strong.

  • Just imagine a perk like that, stacked with DS. Oh god.

  • If only the Pig had a crouch action to hide their TR.

  • I like Killers that zoom too, I like Dredge.

it used to be something survivors feared. Survivors actually cleansed 5 even dull totems to prevent this.

Have you seen or done this since NOED nerf? I haven't at least. NOED used to be basically secondary objective for survivors.

Those 10% are probably in low MMR, not because of skill, but it's a free perk you can use on anyone. But you are just not going to see it on killers with multiple perks available for them.

Well yes, that it because doing totems is incredibly boring. I would also not make it mandatory.

  • @SpanishExecutioner said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3558539#Comment_3558539

Interesting, I haven't seen it for very long time.

Well, pick rate still dropped hard for sure.

Sure, but its useless to say that about perks that are in the good end of used perks.

  • @SpanishExecutioner said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3558513#Comment_3558513

It used to be a gamble, because it was used quite a lot. They made it easy to find in end game, so there is no reason to search for totems or cleanse them in advance. Pickrate dropped hard, so noone really cares about it anymore.

NOED is in the top 10 my guy.

    image.png
  • You seem like a player who is too much focused on the score screen of the game at the end than enjoying the chase or the scare. I used to be like that and yes it was stressful, until I realized I was just guiling myself up to hate it. I don't need 9 hooks, I don't need 4K. What I need is to have fun, so I do that. I do dumb builds that are entertaining, I play a silly Killer, use random perks and try to make the game as fun and entertaining for myself.

Funny enough I find that if I just focus on enjoying the game, I happen to end up with 9hooks or 4Ks anyway.

This isn't advice, I cant predict how you could enjoy the game without stress. But I dont think you will be happy about your gaming time if you keep focusing on just the numbers going up.

  • This would change the balance of all loops in the game, why would they do that?

  • I rather let NOED be a gamble for Survivors.

  • Yes, its been released 3 hours ago but I already seen a party with 3 of those toolboxes. Coincidence?

Its gonna be on tiktok within minutes now, its gonna spread like fire at a gasoline factory.

There are many measures that can be taken to prevent or discourage camping. Some people use cannibals as an example, but not all matches are relative to cannibals, and any other killer has the means to rescue someone who is hanging from a hook.

I'm speaking for myself from here, but ...... to begin with, face camping was a term used to describe when a killer is standing right in front of a survivor. If you really want to blame face camp of all killers for those who can't muster the courage to do so, I think a range of 4m at most, 8m at the widest would have been fine. Do you really need an area of effect of 16m? Maybe I just don't know, but the survivor's face is 16 meters long?

That is a semantic issue rather than critique of the system bhvr Is implementing.

  • @xltechno said:

The opposite of survivors without too much skill is always a skilled and experienced killer.

I get tired of this example every time.

That is whataboutism however, but I agree if Survivors hang around and do nothing, the Crow alert system needs to be re-evaluated.

If we are willing to clean the Killer house, the Survivors also need to clean theirs 100%

  • I read your bug report, Its lacking a lot. There is no replication of it or how to make make the error happen again and it looks just like a regular latency delay just from the way you described it. Sure they COULD take your report as the beginning of a NEW huge amount of desync error, but that really isn't needed cause if that was happening they would get 1000s of reports within a min. So why would they leave a bug report up that would mean anything to anyone, latency delays are not bugs.

  • @NewPlayer100102 said:

    No. Please don't do this.

When I have fun as a survivor it usually involves approaching that one static problem gen on a 3 gen tending map and figuring out how to get rid of it.

You can still do that, but the question with the such a system how long do you and the killer have to play tug of war before it should stop, if the Killer is 3 genning from the start.

  • Sure Camping is a tactic, but Face-camping has no Counterplay and that is boring for both sides, this is why bHVR changes it.

You can still Camp, but all camping will need to be proxy camping which is less egregious than face camping.

So yes, an anti face camping system is a good idea.

But if the punishment is not severe enough than what does it matter if people get caught? There needs to be a certain level, I agree though that the punishment does not get more effective above a certain level.

Also I disagree, it is not only that, there is many more factors that go into it. During my law studies I already had a course of criminology. Especially juvenile crime and such those guys just don't care about the punishment because most countries don't really have much they can do or want to there as punishment, so the whole system kind of fails in that regard, but at least often times to process in court and all this official does something in the sense of preventing further criminal activities.

Yeah I'm not here to engage with you on semantics, we both understand many factors are in play.

A little bit too general, don't you think? That would mean throwing criminals in jail doesn't help preventing crime either? Or punishment as being ordered to pay a certain amount based on your income.

What could be a social reason to cheat? Because all I can see is players that are not as good as they want to be but either unable to learn or unwilling so they go the easy way and cheat. Apparently they have enough money to buy cheats and the game bit not enough time to invest in the game. That's assuming they want to play for the objective. Otherwise they probably are just little children that think it is fun to ruin the game for everyone else. In which case they would just be big looser.

So please tell me how exactly there is a social cause for that?

A little bit too general, don't you think? That would mean throwing criminals in jail doesn't help preventing crime either? Or punishment as being ordered to pay a certain amount based on your income.

Not at all, take a course on social science and the research into that - its the likelihood of being caught that deters crime, not the punishment.  If criminals think there's only a slim chance they will be caught, the severity of punishment — even draconian punishment — is an ineffective deterrent to crime.

So if you want to do something about cheaters/hackers, make sure everyone knows,

we WILL report them and bHVR will GET them, that will deter them despite their reasons to do so-

  • @Archol123 said:

Well they could just not hack and not get mocked therefore, problem solved ^^

Unfortunately problems just don't disappear if you apply punishment and/or mockery as there are social reasons to many problems.

Solutions towards that problem does not start with giving you free range to mock them. Disappointing, I'm sure.

  • @Archol123 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3555813#Comment_3555813

Wasn't the code of hammurabi more like a legal document than a philosophical text? Sure you don't have an obligation to mock someone, but in some cases it is kind of deserved, if you cheat and then get mocked for getting banned for cheating you cannot really complain. Not saying it is the best choice, but then again it is still a better reason to mock people than most other things...

Well at least you realise you don't have an obligation to mock someone, maybe at some point we can get to don't mock people even if they deserve it.

  • @caipt said:

No, 3 genning is not a problem. Only a few very specific maps have remotely unfair gen placement. Leri's, dead dawg, and midwich for nurse/blight. Anything else is a skill/soloQ issue.

I think regular players would disagree, this game is also made for regular people without too much skill.

So preventing the Killer for making forever games, would be a good rule to have in the background, even tho it does not happen often.

  • @Archol123 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3555680#Comment_3555680

Depending on what you mock them for this is perfectly fine... Was it a cheater for example I don't see a reason not to mock them, I encountered the same cheater twice within like 3 months and he was just like bruh I'm never getting banned lol and such things, why not mock them?

Its generally a bad idea to implement a system that dont need it to give your a players personal information as it could encourage unwanted interaction. There is no morally good need for you to be needed to figure out what the details are or remember who it was. Just leave them to ponder their situation, you don't need to contact them and you definitely should not be allowed to contact to mock them, there is no moral reason to do it. The Report list isn't a hit list for you, incredible you would even ask this.

Humankind have had 150 000 years of Collective Morality.

3750 years since the Code of Hammurabi.

2500 years since the Great Greek Philosophers.

300 years from the Age of the Enlightenment.

Have you considered reading philosophy books per chance?

  • Killer Main here, I had absolutely no issue on the PTB. If the Survivor are just too good for you to catch, just take the L and go next.

  • How will your face look when the Killer 4Gens your team then?

  • I don't see why that is necessary, the less information is better, unless you use that info to seek out the individual to mock them.

All you need to know is the type of report and the result.

  • I heard from someone reading the King's twitter Q/A that those might get changed soon. A proper rework for that perk.

But I have not yet had time to read that Q/A myself.

  • While this idea seems good personally, it would mean a player would just be able to refund everything instead of the most busted addons/offerings allowing the player to perform very well. its very easily abused in this manner.

I much much rather have bHVR take a very critical eye to addons of all killers and items and balance them such none are a bad or lesser choice. That would benefit the game much better I think.
