If your survivor MMR consistently increases with the current 60% kill rate, it means you wiped the floor with quite a number of killers.
I'm calling BS on this. I'm far from a high rank but I get 90% sweaty killers. Honestly I've been more leaning to.... And I don't care if the mods slap my hand again... If a killer comes in sweaty... I take an early leave.... Lately if they are running Franklins Atune during the event, I take an early leave. Already got iridescent survivor…I don't need the W's nor do I need to play in a miserable drawn out game to pad a killers points. I give them time and money... They give me a legal way to do this. There shouldn't be any complaining. Now when I stop playing the event, I will take less quick outs... But in a killer strong event...not worth my time
-
Here is how I see it. Sure make it a killer strong event. Fine. Giant Oni was fun. The problem is that even in a good game ...a killer can tunnel, camp etc and still leave with 100k. Basically rewarding them. My only hope.... All these guys coming in and taking out teams fast ...rank up high and get demolished after the event. My guess...this discussion board will be filled with crying killers again
-
I honestly thought BHVR couldn't do worse than chaos shuffle.…then they came out with this. It's almost like they want me to hate this game....which I am.
-
Almost every time I play it's always survivor 150%.
-
I don't sweat it....if a killer comes in sweaty I just go for my self unhook challenge and move to the next match
-
Make sure the take the survey… told them this is the worst even they've come up with yet!! At least for survivor....which of you want blood points...is always survivor....gee I wonder why.... Probably because nobody wants to play it in this mess
-
@Jwmj said:
I don't even really consider it tunneling when I kill survivors early on. I'm playing a game to win, just like survivors are playing to win also. I paid for the game the same as everyone else and I'm going to play(and kill early, and whenever possible) the way I want to.
Now that's not to say that I won't have fun and let survivors go occasionally if I'm enjoying messing around with them and I can tell they're being friendly, but that doesn't change the fact that I'm playing to win and improve at the game with the killers I've purchased.
I'm still relatively new to the game with about ~150 hours currently and I've seen nothing on the forums but killers complaining about survivors and survivors complaining about killers. It's absurd almost that survivors expect the killers to not…play the game the same way they're doing it.
This is the same reason I give to trying to accomplish my self unhook achievement off of a first hook. I paid a lot of money, if I want to exit early, I should be able to. The mechanics of the game allow it, my check didn't bounce. I just wish they had a bleed out fast option.
-
@OrangeBear said:
Just for killers and survivors nobody else
Then should have added better items to survivors.... Not having to walk to a hook is just too easy
-
I wish more people had that kind set. IMO... Events are for fun builds... Max blood points. If you are teabagging.... You ruin it ...if you run a killer sweaty....you are ruining it. Wish there was a way to have this a normalized thing. I know I'm not allowed to say it...but it's part of the game ....if a killer comes in sweaty...I'm going to work on my self unhook achievement!!!
-
I hate getting excited for an event and be sóoooo let down

Well, I play bloodwarden + Stbfl only Pig and have very mixed matches. Some I win, some I lose. I dont tunnel and I dont camp. After playing my regular rounds of survivor to end the session, I found the silence on command to be incredibly strong. Old iron will is one hell of a powerful ability to just pull out of ones hat for free.
The card that heal the entire team is also incredibly strong. All things considered, I do feel like killer actually got the short end of the stick this time around. Fair enough, last year, kilers where able to insta down survivors at bloodlust one. That was also incredibly strong.
Just a quickl reminder, that tunneling is not happening more because of this event. People tunnel normally and during the event. Why should they just change how they play? Certainly not for you or me. Sad as this may be. It is definitely not the devs job to make sure that nobody tunnels. Thats a task that has been unsolvable for almost 8 years now.
I just wish killers could see this. Zero kills, I think all 2 hooks except one. 247k. It was a loss but I actually got my Spirit hit achievement completed as well. I love these events for just that. Get a lot of BP and work on achievements
-
Three times tunneled. This is stupid . They have to fix this!!! All three games.... No more than two gens got done
-
@Firellius said:
Would be a great hook denial counter too.
Maybe give it a token, and allow it to gain more tokens with chase time. That way, the longer you take to get a down, the more likely you are to get to avoid any and all hook-denial attempts.
They aren't going to do anything for survivors....that much is evident!! I guess they just don't cry enough
-
I never get mine to work and I've done everything including sending messages to twitch and BHVR. This drop isn't with the frustration...imo
-
I assume you are all killers because I get one of two matches..... The farming or the sweaty iridescent loaded tunneling camping killer. Doesn't seem to be much in between and with random meme perks or no perks it ends badly. Personally... I loved the lights out event. Sooo much better
-
@miniwengsel said:
First of all many players only care about winning and this is for both sides. So they dont care about BP.
Second the gens are flying faster as before, because survivors got much more efficient mainly through the Survivor Hud. They get much more info on the team, which made them very efficient. This hurts the Killer apparently and cause the game is balanced around the Killer having at least one slowdown Perk games can be rlly hard. For it to be luck having a slowdown or not makes it even harder. So I have a question for you. Where do Killers have the advantages?
Very simple. They are stronger as a base. Teams have no mither, and one game was given zero perks. Sooo basically everyone is out of whack as far as survivor goes. Case in point… im seeing a lot of Huntress and very strong killers. Their points are low because.. they are doing what they always do.. over power with the buffs they have already gotten. ITs not like huntress got a perk buff. This huntress only got about 20k points for her very strong victory. I just got done playing Legion. One kill (they were trolly so i did it) one to two hooks each (i spared the third hook to two of them) got 33k point and 188k blood points. Had fun chasing and slashing. I think you hit the nail on the head though… they only want to win. I dont think this game is just about winning. If it was…… you just tunnel and camp.. oh wait… i think we are making a break through on the issues of the game :)

Question for the bubba mains... I thought every chain saw hit was an instant down. For a while I thought I got it but last two matches the hits only injured

I have no idea what you're talking about, nowhere in this post did I propose such a ridiculous idea.
If you're not interested in analysis and good faith discussion, please take your snide salty remarks somewhere else.
These posts are all about making killers stronger. It gets old. Survivors have nerfed perks and it gets old. Even the new characters have pretty much useless perks. I play survivor and get hit with something crazy and like....whoa what is that!!! Oh that's a cool perk. Here though anything good gets a big crying show that it needs nerfed. I lost to show you how old it gets seeing the same posts to buff killers over and over and over again.
-
Dear BHVR ... Please tie up survivors, nerf all their perks and give us one button to push for a 4k.
Thank you
Geeesh

Ugh almost. Some maps it was better others the same

So happy to see this thread. As a survivor I managed but it was so off. As a killer I could barely hit a person. I was ready to cry. Love playing this game and was worried they did something that forced me to upgrade my computer
-
Subtle cheating how? I see odd things but honestly can never tell. Just curious what to look for. Had a killer that found me twice. I was using distortion. I asked him how he found me and he said audio cues. Plausible however both times I was not moving and crouched also forgot to mention not injured. I reported just in case. Also there are times survivors are a bit faster than they should be (again just seems as much I could totally be wrong) I just feel on long straight aways I should be catching unless they are in a sprint burst. Just curious on what to look for
-
I had one match against a good team as Pyramid Head. Caught a group healing at the gate. Behind the wall and with his move I managed to down the one and get one kill that game. Sure it was only one but dang if that one didn't feel sweet. Lol

There isn't much for me to add here that hasn't already been said, but regarding my post specifically I mentioned some bad matches I was having because I believed they helped to illustrate my complaints about Freddy's current state.
But I was talking about things Freddy players usually see on their trials. And those scenarios, including the possibility of playing without a power, are common.
Therefore, I strongly believe this is the weakest Freddy has ever been. Is it possible to use him effectively? Yes, because you can do the same thing with every other killer in the game.
But the requests for buffs, or preferably a "dework", are 100% justified.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3692888#Comment_3692888
Look at @GeneralV for example, who only mains Freddy because he was his favorite killer before the rework almost 5 years ago (you're a trooper, you know that?)
Thank you, my friend <3
And not to harp...but you still haven't mentioned your kill rate. How often do you take everyone out or... Let them live because you've completely schooled them?
-
I don't think they understand that killers don't want to chase, or play and especially don't want to be nerfed. They just want more and more to make it easier and easier. Cool down would be good. If exhaustion is a cool down a chain saw should have one too. Keep it even and such
-
I'm ok with a rework.... Just not a buff.

Ok.
First regarding my skill level. I have 3.6k hours in DBD. I play mostly killer but have a 70 - 30 killer - survivor ratio.
I have over 2k hours on Pig and Sadako is my second main. I play against comp. survivors once or twice a week. I dont know what MMR im at, but i do think that im not that bad at the game. I win most of my matches as killer and have a decent escape rate as survivor (even soloq).
Freddy suffers from a flawed kit since his original rework.
He was stupidly overpowered when he got reworked but since then, he fell from grace.
He has: one of the worst chasing powers in the game. Snares are literally a worse clown bottle.
Being in the dream world does nothing to a survivor except making them oblivious. A status effect that is completely useless to Freddy due to his lullaby. Therefore survivors can literally ignore the dream wold alltogether.
The teleport is bad. In comparison to all other teleport killers, it takes way too long to recharge and has a super long animation. You will not get any hits with it.
Its direct contenders are:
- Demogorgon
- Onryo
- Unknown
- Dredge
All of them have faster teleports with shorter cooldowns.
Freddy has literally nothing to do to get his tp back. It charges over time. I dont know what your on about with this.
Tunneling is also something not directly linked to Freddy. Every killer can tunnel. This has nothing to do with Freddy´s strength.
Pallet Freddy is literally a joke. Its the worst power in the entire game that is countered by perks (WoO) and is sometimes not even usable due to pallet spawns.
So. To summarise: We have a killer, that has:
- No mobility except a teleport that is maybe usable once or twice a match
- Snares that are literally worse than clowns bottles.
or
- Pallets that are almost unusably bad (except for jokes)
- Oblivious with a terror radius
- some of the worst addons known to mankind
If you lose to Freddy, you lose to every other killer in the game. Hes barebones m1.
If this was about the infamous forever-Freddy i would absolutely understand your sentiment. But these times are over.
And what is your ratio with Freddie. Seems everyone likes to leave that out. That's quite literally the whole point of this.
-
@radiantHero23 said:
Dying to Freddy right now is, and I'm sorry, literally a skill issue.
This killer has so many issues, that simply buffing him would not fix him. He desperately needs a rework.
If you and your team are at least decent at dbd, you should have at least a 2man out on all maps except midwich.
This comment makes me laugh as it purely a killer response....all the time. If you lose to Freddie, you are not skilled. If you get one down due to devour hope you need to change your perks. I can't beat good teams with Freddie.... Freddie is too weak. Never once is skill level questioned. Perhaps you tunnel and this killer does not allow you to do that, or camp or have to actually chase. Again these are all your comments I'm repeating. I don't know your skill level etc. I said, usually when I go up against Freddie, he dominated. Some I've seen said, I can't beat good teams. To me, that sounds balanced. You shouldn't be able to consistently beat good teams. There is a reason they are good teams. He is a low end killer.... Ok, is it because you can't teleport to a survivor and easily hook them? Have to actually work for it? That's kinda what I'm hearing.

Well, I presume this reply was directed towards me. No comment has been quoted, but so far I'm the only Freddy main in the thread.
And I gotta say, there is some context missing here. Granted, it was because I did not provide it, but here we go:
If Freddy had always been the way he currently is, I don't think I would've mained him, despite my love for the character and the ANOES franchise. But I first started playing DBD in 2018, and back then Freddy was a very unique killer, completely different from the version we have today.
He was my favorite killer in the entire game, and it is my love for the character and for his original power that motivates me to main him. Because his current power is weak, and it definitely has issues. You can read one of my threads about it, if you want to:
Trust me, Freddy desperately needs help.
So honest question... A few bad matches.... That's all you mentioned. I read that and see basically you can't beat everyone every time. That's how I feel most killers what the characters. You lose to good killers, you lose to good survivor teams. Maybe I'm bitter because when I post "devour hope is bs" the answer I get is... Use totem finding perks, however when a killer doesn't kill every one every time…it's ...oh they need a buff. Again, not directed at you but other then that few string of bad matches...how do you normally do?
-
First do you play survivor and second .. is this your build always and third do you spend the game looking for totems? Then let's add a killer like the newly buffed Huntress… there is little risk. Just went up against one .. 1 gen completed, two of the three hexes found, two people quit and bots took place. Guess we should have spent more time on the totems huh
-
Being still new....in feel ya. I finally got a lot of killers and survivors prestiged and playable. I am going to miss this a lot.... However it will be nice to feel like I don't have to play all the time and just kind of get in there and enjoy

You have to be prepared for either:
1. Every situation
2. Things that bothers You the most.
People who hates being camped the most, brings anti camping perks (not much of them unfortunately).
Most, advanced players can find totems in no time, but i am bringing map with addon that shows killer belongings, or totem tracking perks. If hexes is what bothers You the most, You can do simmilar thing.
But yeah, hexes are suppouse to be powerfull because can be broken easely.
Again...I'm being punished for preparing for totems where I will lack in gens or some other. For the other comment, I don't need to run devour hope .... I want to actually play. Chase them off gens, chess match....not just walk up, stab them once and feel good about really doing nothing. I don't get how that's fun...that's just lazy and not playing
-
@Archael said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/409814/why-does-devour-hope-even-exist
As much as i understand Your frustration (i had simmilar match), i have to say, that Devour Hope is one of few Hex perks that are worth using. Those perks are high risk high reward perks, because You can easly remove it from the game and leave killer with only 3 perks. There is lot of perks that helps dealing with totems, and map, that is IMO very underrated item. Toolboxes may saves You few seconds of doing gens, while map may saves You tons of seconds of looking for totems.
Ok but.... Without knowing the killer that point is mute at best. Yes there are counters… but you'd have to go in knowing. If I saw Michael waiting for me in the lobby, I'd change my build in a heart beat. Point is .. if I only do gens, or if I only hide and try to escape.... I'm punished....point wise. Why is this not the same with these perks?
-
Now I have to look up background player. I'm not a troll but seems effective.
-
I played several games against a clown that would meticulously hook every one twice. Was soooo fun to play against. So basically don't let the stupid people get to you. As for the toxic talk... I eat that up personally. My word slinging and trolling is better than most.
-
ok I don't play killer much and I'm new but what is this auto aim? Doesn't sound legit. Just saying
-
When I accidentally tunnel someone. It happens, you cross paths too soon. I make sure they survive. I don't play like that. Winning isn't all that important.
-
Would absolutely love a bleed out faster option. They won't though. They seem to like survivors suffering. Just my opinion. Suicide out is frowned upon, they don't care about tunneling and camping. I doubt they ever will
-
Billy got buffed too much. I don't know what more convincing you need.
-
Nothing but campers and quick games all night. This is really unfun. They need to do more for survivors. Three matches were so bad that one person bot out. Three matches!!! They should be keeping track of that and realizing how unfun it is
-
Id love to see a version of that Blackout mode or darkness. That was epic and so much fun. Killers couldn't come in sweaty and survivors had to really work at movement. I can honestly I loved every moment of that event.... Even the losses or woopings I got
-

This is not cool :/ those guys are losers.
The new killer is hard to learn, but super strong. I hope you enjoy playing him! :) Once you get the hang of him, you'll be able to easily guarantee a 3k or 4k!
And this is what's wrong with killers. There should never be guaranteed 3K or 4K
-
I'm the opposite... I think everyone should have to read it. Call out the tunneling and camping. Or better yet... separate the console with PC. Consoles have an advantage anyhow
-
Definitely the Artist. I wanted one of her perks so I ended up getting her and then having to do a few challenges. First game or two I was like.... Eh. Then I started to figure her out and now she's my absolute favorite. Great Gen control no need to camp or tunnel. Constantly hide and seek. I still have a lot more to try out and try to figure out but so far she's been my absolute favorite.
-
If you cry enough as a killer ...they listen. Apparently killers couldn't kill everyone every game so they had to fix it so she could. You aren't supposed to survive.... you are just meat for the killers!!! Lol
-
I have written a few times that I would LOVE a bleed out faster option. It's not fun laying there especially at the end of a game. Let's make this happen!!
-
@sinisterstubbs77 said:
So when all 4 survivors are bullying and body blocking while tea-bagging, ets, killers aren't supposed to do whatever it takes to get the win as well? Survivors always are the 1st to complain when their bullying is turned back onto them and start crying for nerfs and killer punishments.
And how often does this happen? Today all three trials were repair gen... One survivor caught and hooked... Camping, trade hooks, camping...trade hooks... Slug, slug slug... It literally stops the game. So for the ONE team that's legit trolling you are gonna punish the masses. Great way to keep a game fun
-
@North85 said:
If you complain about tunneling, you're bad at looping, and need to get good.
If you complain about genrushing, you're bad at chases, and need to get good (unless you got destroyed by a 4-man sweat squad, it happens).
I will counter with, if you are tunneling you are bad at playing killer. I tell that to every killer that does it. I call them out and tell them to keep practicing and be better.
Totally agree with you get destroyed by good groups .. all you can do is learn and hope they don't troll you. If you do...stop playing and stand in the corner. You owe survivors nothing
-
Tunneling drives me crazy. I play survivor with a good group on voice and 3 out of 5 games the killer tunnels....soft camps. Sure we can leave a friend to hang and easily survive 3 of us but that garbage. The issue is killers egos. Killer is super easy. I've only been playing a few months and can get almost 4 kills (if I want) or worse case 2. I don't tunnel. I don't need to. If I take one person out...I feel I'm successful. Keep in mind I'm new and grinding for blood points to get better perks. Just read the posts here from killers ... Gens get done too soon ... Survivor have too many good perks. Are you serious? Looks at the buffs .. killers get improved all the time while survivor gets theirs removed. Obviously they aren't playing survivor. Tunneling is saying, I want to kill people and make myself feel good rather than, I need to work better on gen control and keeping the survivors busy with every but working on gens
