It is fairly obvious this is a casual game because:
the game is not rigorously balanced
there is no MMR and hence much less of an incentive to keep improving
almost no one cares about the competitive/esport scene
people do not bring keys and moris every game; they would if they wanted to win every game
there is no DC penalty or functional report for griefing in a team-based game
If you think this game is competitive or toxic, then you have probably never played more than 200 hours of LoL or Dota. This game is no where as toxic or competitive as those games. Honestly, I wouldn't even call this game toxic.
I wasnt the one who called DbD Competive. I just asked.
Also the MMR System is coming and they already try to balance everything. In asymetrical games it can be really hard to balance the game.
Also i love challanges so i would love to see DbD getting more competive.

bruh mm doesn't mean anything in this game, personally I wouldn't mind.
Thats why a new MM System is coming.. And that means alot from what we heard so far.

Who even said this is a casual game?
Also queue times wont be a big problem when Crossplay come out.
I also dont think this game can get more toxic.
I am really hyped for the MMR System. It is really needed.

NOED just needs to be reworked, honestly. It's a badly designed perk and should have what it's used for changed.
NOED is no longer a hex perk. NOED reveals the aura of the hatch to you once it appears. When there is one survivor left alive, they are exposed and their aura is shown to you for 5 seconds. Every 20 seconds their aura is shown for 3 seconds. You may kill the final survivor by your hands.
Now it secures you the 4k rather than handing you random kills after playing badly.
I think the current NOED is fine as is, but i really like this suggestion.
I would start usong NOED alot.
-
Why should i do that? The total bloodpoint gain doesnt change.

Well he’s pretty much OP if you’re bad. He could have said it to any other killer you played. I don’t even find this funny anymore.
Well just because someone is bad, it doesnt make something OP.
But i get what you meant.
-
Ya know, some weeks before someone with that Avatar on PSN also sent me Hatemails and claimed that Clown was OP... Could be the same guy. Would be funny as hell.
-
Everything can look really strong if someone decently good uses it.
I think its fine since it only exposes and the clown is overall not the best killer.
EDIT: Also its not that easy to hit that bottles.

That res is tall enough to see over some if not most tiles, giving you an advantage.
No matter what you say, they will never understand it, or never accept it since they use it themselfs.
You even proved that it DOES give a advantage and they still deny it.

"Yes, you can see a bit further, but in reality, it doesnt change a single loop. EVEN if you were using 1080:1080 which nobody does."
Do you know what words are? Or do you just have an attantion span of a fly?
It. Does. Not. Allow. You. To. See. The. Killer. At. Any. Loop. That. Wouldn't. Allow. You. To. See. Him. Anyway.
It does give you advantages. You only defend it because you use it yourself and dont want to seems like a bad player (which you are)

I find it very cute that ######### Killer mains who crutch on Pop think they're good, because they can beat a SoloQ team. But when they go against a decent squad, they have no idea what to do and blame it on them "cheating" by "abusing" stretched res. 2 Things.Firstly, you suck, get over it. Maybe play a killer other than Freddy and start using this thing between your ears. Secondly, it has been proven many times that stretched res does NOT allow you to look over pretty much anything. Even if you use 1080:1080. Get real <3
it is proven that it DOES give a advantage.
Also how is pop a crutch perk?
Grow up or verwelke.
-
How is he rewarded for bad play? The killers objective is to kill survivors, not to defend gens.
Also you can deactivate it before it even activates.

They arent going to rework him. Which is a shame as I really hate Ghostface. He just feels so cheap to play against.
From what i saw, everything from the Killers side is cheap for you.

Flashlight rarity doesnt matter.
Not everything have to be easy.. besides that, once you get the hang of it, flashlight saves are pretty easy.

It's a crutch perk I lean on so hard I'm surprised I haven't snapped it in half.
But honestly it has always been a solid perk, people have just been waking up to it this last 6 months or so upon realizing they don't NEED the big meta baddies.
How is it a crutch perk?

Thats one of the reasons why DC penalties are needed.

This map cant really be changed because thats how the map looks like (almost) in Silent hill.

so you give them what they want and screw over your team?
I know how it feels, but if someone facecamps you, just wait it out so they can rush gens. If everyone would do that there would be much less campers.

I had a cheater earlier. What was I meant to do sit and carry on?
Cheating is getting worse in the game. Penalties shouldnt be back until the devs do something about it
Hackers/Cheaters are ultra rare + you can NEVER completely get rid of them.

No, and I think its fine without it. If I get a team mate that DCs. I understand that their computer crashed or something came up. I just play the round and deal with it. If I am playing as the killer. I generally play the game out and let the last 2 remaining survivors go, or sometimes just the 1. I mean it is, what it is.
What would be funny is. If the survivor DC'd from the last match.
- They get a "DUNCE" cap to wear for the next match. It won't be on that player's head until the match starts.
- They have to generate a total of 20,000 BP before the cap and penalty goes away.
- They have a reduced action speed of 20%
- The character farts at random when near the killer (lolz, please tell me people here have humor).
DC Penalty is needed for a reason. Since they removed it i get tons of DCs per day again.
-
Are you a survivor main? Or why make the killer that weak? No one would play him!
-
@[Deleted User] said:
No, and it shouldn’t.
Otherwise it would incentivise killer’s to do scummy things in an attempt to try and force survivors to DC, such as body block a survivor in a corner or on the basement staircase.
The staircase bodyblock was fixed a long time ago already.
Also i think it should atleast give the same amount because otherwise the survivors just DC to deny the Killer the points which is the same as if the killer plays scummy to try to force the survivors to dc to deny them the points.

I really hope something will happen.

The purpose of challenges aren't meant to annoy the other side which you're strongly implying, this is a game that we're meant to enjoy, not to go out of our way and annoy other people for playing it, that's toxic.
And the purpose of moris also arent mean to annoy anyone.
-
No matter what anyone uses, you always will be blamed for it. No matter if its strong or not (which in this case, its weak)

Waste of time. Everybody nowadays already know there a re 5 totems and a high chance someone has NOED. This stil makes it balanced to the point where even the survivors had a chance the killer had all game to stop the survivors but couldnt. I also would like to know how you think this isnt overpowered? Just a question not starting an argument and dont use the arguement just destroy totems give me an actual reason
If you think cleansing totems is a waste of time, then why is NOED a problem? If its a waste of time, NOED cant be that bad.
NOED isnt actually a really strong perk.
You can deavtivate it before it even activates + its like you run only 3 perks the entire game.
Also even if NOED is activatet, you arent guarranted to hit/kill anyone with it.
-
I would really love it.

Myers, being the only killer that can kill someone within minutes of the match with no hooks, needs a counter. And besides, if you're having trouble with an achievement making it easier to achieve, completely, defeats the purpose of the achieving it, yeah?

No definitely not, I always go for the 4k as killer. I usually don't slug because it's not fun for me as killer and because slugging really requires you to run Whispers and/or Deer Stalker. I'd rather not waste a perk slot just so I can get the 4k and it's usually just as easy to get the 4k if I find the hatch. If the survivor finds the hatch, I still consider it a win, because the survivors weren't able to power the gates.
What you say it true, i also dont slug exept if i see the last one or if they played toxic but i just wanted to make clear that there is nothing wrong with it and that noone should complain about it.

When you say "You are not entitled to escape", that also means you are also not entitled to 4ks. When you are calling out one sides entitlement, it makes you look entitled-as-f*ck.
2k/2e is the developers goal for the game, it hasn't changed.
But that doesnt its bad to try get 4 kills.
If you complain about someone whos trying to 4k, just because he want to escape, he act like as he is entitled to escape, which he isnt.
I know killers also dont have to 4k and killers often are entilted too but theres still noting wrong with trying.
Theres also nothing wrong with trying to survive but no one should act like they HAVE to escape / 4k or act like as they deserve it.

Its true that theres nothing wrong with it, but thats the choice you make. You cant make that choice and then complain about the choice you madd. Its your choice. The hatch exists for a reason, and a good one, so thats not going any where
But i didnt complained about the hatch?
It can be annoying but i know why it exists and i am fine with it.

Lol guy talks about survivor entitlement but he’s making other people spend minutes on the ground immobilised bored out of their mind so he can feed his ego and get a few extra points in a video game.
Just hook the survivor and if the last gets hatch who cares? Killer has a huge advantage in finding it first anyway.
Its a PVP game, if you cant handle a defeat, dont play.
Its not toxic to slug as long as you dont do it just to waste the others time.
Theres nothing wrong with trying to kill everyone.
-
@ich_häng_mal_rum said:
But then it’s on you, cause maybe you have your reasons to not accept that the game is balanced around 2k.
Just because the devs once said the ratio should be 2k/2e, it doesnt mean it is balanced that way at the moment. Also even if it would, why should it be bad to still want to try to kilk everyone? You are not entitled to escape.
You cant just say ,,Uhh then kill 4 guys but you should accept that the game isnt balanced that way"
If you say that, i could say you should accept that me and many others still want to kill everyone and not everyone cares for the pips or Bloodpoints.
I play DbD because its PVP element, thats why i want to kill everyone.
-
@ich_häng_mal_rum said:
Slugging for the 4k is just a waste of time for both sides, for killer and survivors. I prefer to hook the third survivor and then try to close the hatch and find the last survivor. If the last survivor find the hatch first, fine. Killer don’t need the last hook to pip and earn only a few bloodpoints while the survivor earn 7k bloodpoints and has a chance to pip in a game, where the team loose against the killer. For both side it make more sense not to slug for the 4k, because in this time you could play the next match and earn bloodpoints and pips again...
And btw, I will never understand why some killer think they need 4k, if one survivor escapes it‘s still a 3k and you can count it as a „win“, because the game is balanced around 2k so you had a good game.
Not everyone cares for bloodpoints or pips only.
Ill make sure to kill everyone exept if they played really well and didnt played toxic.
-
Why should it be in DbD?

I'm going to assume English is not your first language. "Entitled to your opinion" means "You have the right to your opinion". It doesn't mean you're entitled.

I'm the bones doer from every match I get into buddy. To the point that my friends usually joke about it whenever they see a totem, they go like "huh there's a totem here COME QUICKLY!!!" And I still think NOED should be nerfed. I agree that a lot of survivors are ######### and won't do the damn bones, though. Today I walked by a bunch of gens that had already been done by other survivors and the perfectly visible totems standing next to them were still there, standing.
Also, the main objective of the killer is to kill, of course, if you fail to kill the survivors then the gens get done ---thus, if all the gens have been completed, you're failing at your task. If you kill everyone fast then the gens won't pop :P :P :P
But you still can kill everyone of all gens are completet. So where did the killer fail?
Also you forgot something important.
Just because you sometimes cant do everything alone, it doesnt mean it needs a nerf. Its a team game, where you and your mates have to work together to survive. If they dont do it, sure it sucks for you, but that doesnt mean it needs changes.
How to you think would the killer have a chance if the survivors could do EVERYTHING solo?
