    Bingo!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1178261#Comment_1178261

Also incredibly good change! Also to make it even more useful, it should lock the "pebble" to the closest aimed object. Ie if you aim towards a window at the range of the pebble, it should lock to it, and create a fast action there, instead of at the ground 5 feet away.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1177666#Comment_1177666

My only change to any of these perks would be to make boil over deactivate upon a vault - ie you only get one super vault out of it! and to make the killer reveal with dance with me sliggghtly shorter, as 3s of aura reading can be the difference between life and death, but having a 1s/2s reveal could still allow for mindgames without completely negating the killers ability. also nerfing the vault speed to just a 5-10% across all tiers, as we do have the spinechill combo... vaulting up to almost 30% faster would be incredibly strong and turn a lot of loops into god loops imo, so making it 5% is the only change i'd make! Honestly though all incredibly good changes and i see what your going for i just don't want window perks to become insanely powerful as survivor as it could completely negate a slower killer :) :) :)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1177731#Comment_1177731

Honestly just yes yes yes yes. Don't think lucky break needs the grunt of pain buff (thats what we have iron will for after all) but this would make stealth builds incredibly good. Being unhooked should grant it/so should being picked up after downed but not both imo as that could make it possibly tooooo strong? but otherwise incredibly incredibly good changes. i love them! love them so much.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1177586#Comment_1177586

I honestly don't feel breakout needs a buff as its already pretty golden on its own expecially in a sabo build, and brutal strength should have the extra regression on a timer ie 50% more for lets say 15s-30s or so, as its already quite a decent perk, and the 5% buff would already be veryyyy good on its own. but otherwise completely golden changes i completely support these!!!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1177576#Comment_1177576

Very good ideas!!!! but babysitters speed boost should not apply if the the applicant has sprint burst. Everyone would run the two perks then plus borrowed time or hell even just unhooking infront of the killer for free saves as 300% movement speed with not blood or scratch marks is nutty.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1177537#Comment_1177537

I honestly don't mind this passive effect! bit unsure of the speed boost, but i do love the idea of it quieting actions that make noise like chests and totems. Lovely addition! <3

Breakdown is hot garbage without a coordinated sabo squad. All of Yui’s Perks are. That 20% wiggle buff does very, VERY little without the intervention of the entire rest of the team. Brutal Strength is also extremely overrated and does next to nothing; it needs a speed buff. The bonus regression increases the regression speed from 1/4 the base repair speed to 3/8. If that's worthy of being put on a timer then Ruin needs to be hardcore nerfed again.

  • Stalking without leaning takes 5 seconds, and stalking while leaning takes 2.5. There are addons that increase your stalking speed whole NOT leaning—stacking the best ones reduces the total time by 1.25 seconds, for a 3.75-second stalk time. There is also an ultra rare addon, “Ghost Face Caught on Tape”, that reduces the time taken to stalk someone WHILE leaning by 1 full second, for a 1.5-second stalk time, in exchange for reducing the time to Mark a Survivor while NOT leaning by 0.75 seconds, for a 5.75 stalk time without addons.

  • Legion is countered by either holding W or just not grouping together. Against Survvors who know how to actually counter him, he's the literal worst Killer in the game. His power is to give himself Decisive Strike.

  • Fixated: Speed bonus applies while injured.

Babysitter: Ignores the Undetectable status effect.

Solidarity: Healing ratio increased from 40/45/50% to 55/60/65%. When performing cooperative healing, the ratio is not split between the two of you.

Brutal strength: Breaking speed increased from 10/15/20% to 15/20/25%. Increases gen regression speed by 50%.

Any Means Necessary: Cooldown reduced from 140/130/120 seconds to 90/75/60 seconds. Reset time reduced to 3 seconds. Pallets reset using this Perk have a 15% longer stun duration against the Killer. Resetting a pallet grants 200 Survival bloodpoints.

Fire Up: Affects missed and successful attack cooldown in addition to vaulting, breaking, and picking up.dropping Survivors.

    Gearhead: Revert the PTB nerfs.

Dead Man's Switch: Activates when hooking any Survivor, not just the obsession. Has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds to compensate.

Lucky Break: No longer has a timer. Instead causes you to bleed 50/75/100% less than normal while injured.

Breakout: Taking a hit for a carried Survivor forces the Killer to take 25% longer than normal to recuperate.

For the People: Broken timer reduced to 90/75/60 seconds.

Huntress Lullaby: No longer a Hex. Once you have 3 or more tokens, if a Survivor succeeds a Great Skill Check, you lose 1 token.

We're not much faster, if you run in a straigh line it actually takes killer a pretty long time to catch up, you lose distance by running left or right to cover. If anything killers should be a little faster. Also fun fact survivors move roughly 6 mph and killer about 7. Legion in frenzy is booking like 13

Survivors move at a speed of 4 meters per second, which is a total of 14,400 meters per hour, or 8.948 miles per hour.

Killers move at a speed of 4.6 meters per second, which is a total of 16,650 meters per hour, or about 10.29 miles per hour.

Legion in Frenzy moves at a speed of 5.2 meters per second, which is a total of 18,720 meters per hour or about 11.632 miles per hour.

    1. Clown. A good Clown cannot be looped, so the counterplay to his power is camping pallets. This not only creates an extremely boring and un-interactive chase for both sides, but it also means that if your team are a bunch of idiots who can’t hold M1, then you’re going to burn through all the pallets before the gens are done and you have about as much chance of surviving it as you do a Huntress with aimbot hacks.
    2. Spirit. Spirit is honestly just such a stupid Killer that I wish was never added. Nothing about her is fun to fight. Her entire power is a guessing game, she wins by having ears, and she barely damn needs her phase when the passive one she gets almost makes her better at being an M1 Killer than a 115. God, I despise her.

You can still do something against a Spirit, you couldn’t with Legion. There was nothing. Your skill was irrelevant. Difference is that Spirit can still win the match. Legion could not against competent teams. Legion had amazing 1V1 but terrible 4V1. Spirit is great at both which makes her very disliked.

Where is Legion now? Gutted. Their power was a failed experiment and now they are in the trash tier at the bottom of the barrel. A terribly designed killer. Spirit is still an extremely good killer. You might not like Spirit but overall she’s still a great killer who hasn’t been gutted.

I hate Yamaoka too and it is my least favorite map but it’s not worse than Ormond. Ormond is an entire connected loop that any good survivor can run you around for a long period of time. Yamaoka is really only good for immersed teams. Sure you can see better on Ormond but you’re still gonna lose against a good team. Nothing you can do. AND it’s the size of Jupiter.

I just can’t say the Spirit chapter was worse. Darkness Among Us is like a failed lab experiment.

"Where is Legion now? Gutted. Their power was a failed experiment and now they are in the trash tier at the bottom of the barrel. A terribly designed killer. Spirit is still an extremely good killer. You might not like Spirit but overall she’s still a great killer who hasn’t been gutted."

You keep talking about Spirit being good like that's somehow a good thing. A phase-walking Killer with the mobility of Usain Bolt who can fake her entire existence to the point that taking your hands off your keyboard is enough to be considered a mindgame should never even exist, let alone be top-tier and for so little effort at that.

"I hate Yamaoka too and it is my least favorite map but it’s not worse than Ormond. Ormond is an entire connected loop that any good survivor can run you around for a long period of time. Yamaoka's loops are just as bad if your pathing is decent, and Family Residence is bigger than goddamn Uganda. They are also by far the most cluttered maps in the game; I have an easier time chainsawing across the map as Billy on Hawkins than I do walking from point A to point B on Yamaoka. Ormond is annoying, but at least A) You can freely walk around on that map, and B) You can actually bloody see two feet in front of you.

"I just can’t say the Spirit chapter was worse. Darkness Among Us is like a failed lab experiment."

The simple fact that BHVR actually engaged in damage control for DMU makes it ten times better than Bloodline for me. The absolutely terrible effects caused by that patch—Spirit's existence, Yamaoka's existence, and the no-heal meta—are still extremely felt today, a year and a half later.

  • Lunge ranges just feel really inconsistent across all Killers if you ask me. Billy’s lunge range feels absolutely monstrous, for example, while Oni’s feels gimped as hell. It’s really weird.

The Spirit vs Legion debate is no question. Legion was fundamentally broken and is now a shell of their former self. They were a failed experiment that should’ve never been implemented.

Spirit might be hated but there is nothing about her that is broken in the slightest. Annoying to face? To a lot of people, but that is subjective. She has counterplay. Nothing about her is uncounterable. She is fine the way she is. Legion had NO counterplay, NONE especially with Frank’s Mix Tape. Spirit is counterable.

Yamaoka is bad but so is Ormond. Both chapter have bad maps I don’t know why you keep stressing the fact that Shattered Bloodline introduced Yamaoka. Yamaoka is no more survivor-sided than Ormond. Is Yamaoka boring? Absolutely. It’s still not worse than Ormond though.

And I’m talking about specifically on the release date...Darkness Among Us is the worst chapter.

    "Spirit is counterable."

She does have counterplay, but the thing is, Sprits with have a brain and half an ear can negate it with no trouble whatsoever, so she might as well have none if the Spirit player is, you know, actually good. Granted, most aren't—which is why they're playing Spirit, probably—but that changes little.

"Yamaoka is bad but so is Ormond. Both chapter have bad maps I don’t know why you keep stressing the fact that Shattered Bloodline introduced Yamaoka. Yamaoka is no more survivor-sided than Ormond. Is Yamaoka boring? Absolutely. It’s still not worse than Ormond though."

Yamaoka is one hundred percent worse than Ormond. At least on Ormond, you can actually see.

"And I’m talking about specifically on the release date...Darkness Among Us is the worst chapter."

And I'm talking both short- and long-term effects. And the long-term effects of Shattered Bloodline are for worse than the short-term effects of Darkness Among Us.

But unlike old Legion; Spirit should keep existing and her perks as well. Yamaoka is the only questionable thing. The no heal thing was needed anyway. It just made the problem clearer.

None of those should exist, and the no-heal meta has not been touched for over a year and, if anything, has only gotten stronger with the sheer amount of second chances Survivors get that allow them to never need to heal since they can always take extra hits somehow.

  • @MegMain98 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1171975#Comment_1171975

But Spirit wasn’t broken on her release unlike Legion, even now she isn’t broken nor unhealthy for the game. Legion was absolutely terrible for the game’s health. She has SOME form of counterplay you can work with, Legion did not.

Spirit’s perks are annoying as they do punish survivor’s for doing their objectives (ESPECIALLY Rancor).

Yamaoka is god awful. Ormond is still stronger but I’d take losing on Ormond to even playing on Yamaoka.

I don’t mind Delieverance. While it is annoying at times, you have to at least get a safe unhook before using it. Jeff’s perks are still arguably better.

I’m not trying to change your opinion but Legion was broken on release and terrible for the game health while Spirit wasn’t nearly as good as she currently is. Yamaoka and Ormond are both terrible but Ormond is stronger for survivor, Yamaoka is just boring if you get immersed survivors. Jeff and Adam both have non-meta perks that I don’t see often.

The fact that I still have flashbacks to old Legion with Frank’s Mix Tape will probably always make me despise Darkness Among Us the most out of ANY chapter. I’ve never seen so many DC’s in my time of playing more than I did between December 2018 and April 2019.

The difference is, Legion doesn’t exist anymore.

Spirit still does. Yamaoka still does. Her Perks still do. The no-heal genrush meta still does.

All the issues introduced over a year ago in that patch—all the terribly balanced Perks, the formation of the meta, Yamaoka’s existence, Spirit’s existence—have not been touched. Legion had his nuts cut off with his own knife a few months after he came out.

You go to other gens and kick them, and boom, instant regression equal to 80 seconds' worth of regular kick regression + whatever extra comes along before they tap it.

Unless the Survivors, you know, do the gens, of course.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1172132#Comment_1172132

It is when 20 seconds becomes 40 becomes 60 becomes 80. Meanwhile, Corrupt Intervention is 2 minutes of not stopping Survivors from working on gens.

    Going to other gens?

Drawing the Killer away from the other one?

Finishing the gen before they can kick it?

  • @DisappointedUser said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170723#Comment_1170723

Uh.. yes.. 25% of a 80 second gen is 20 seconds. And that is exactly what it’s meant to do. Multiple pops can take a 80 second gen to 120 or 140 seconds to complete.

Congrats on being able to do basic math AND not understanding what removing 20 seconds from a gen does.

20 seconds is literally nothing, but okay.

  • Actually, now that I think about it, I'm going to have to say that the Spirit patch is the worst one. Not only did it give us Spirit, one of the most annoying, skilless, overpowered Killers in the game, but it also gave us her Perks, which punish Survivors for doing normal Survivor things. Not only that, it gave us Yamaoka, the actual physical most frustrating maps for anyone in all of existence, it gave us Deliverance, an annoying second chance but somehow a still mediocre Perk, and above all else, IIRC it gave us the healing overhaul—the grandfather to the no-heal genrush meta that has now morphed and evolved into the Second Chance: The Musical no-heal genrush meta.

Yeah, I would say that tops release Legion in terms of being bad for the game.

  • I hate Spirit in terms of her fundamentals, but if we're talking teachables, all three of her Perks punish Survivors either for doing things that Survivors SHOULD BE DOING, or they just get RNG'ed.

Spirit Fury—Punishes the Survivor for stunning you with a pallet.

Haunted Ground—Punishes the Survivor for doing totems.

    Rancor—Punishes the obsession for existing.

I think all three Perks are really damn stupid and need to go.

  • Gonna have to go with Darkness Among Us. The fact that Legion was so incredibly poorly designed, and the devs’ response was to erase them from existence and then basically completely forget they exist save to make money off cosmetics makes it kind of obvious that this DLC was nothing more than a cash grab. Fundamentally broken Killer with a map that was so goddamn buggy it had to be disabled on release, and then design-wise it’s one of the most AIDS ones so far. It's obvious that very little effort was put into this chapter compared to others.

  • I mean, an addon rework isn’t going to stop Legion from being a horrendously unfunny meme of a Killer, but... it’s a start, I guess.

  • @OrangeJack said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170753#Comment_1170753

You remove 20 seconds and it will continue to go down more than just 20 seconds as if you're smart you'll patrol that area or be in a chase nearby (usually from the survivors you found at the gen)

Sometimes for two red ranks one will get in a chase with you and the other will return to popped gen and continue. If you're good then you can down the survivor quickly and maybe even get another pop in.

The perk is nothing only if you don't pair it with good gen pressure.

The way you're describing it is as if you're just kicking a gen with pop then never going back to that gen for the rest of the game.

Yeah let me just pressure this one gen while three or four other Survivors are doing other gens somewhere across the map and the fourth is immersed. Great idea.

  • @TAG said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170981#Comment_1170981

How does it stop the M1? It just moves it closer to you.

    Pop >>> Corrupt IMO.

Because you can actually pressure gens that are that close together? How hard is it to understand?

  • @ohheyitsbobcat said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170981#Comment_1170981

I don't really thing corrupt is much better in that regard though? You either just hide the entire time rendering the perk useless or you just go to gens that aren't blocked while someone gets chased. It's true you have less gens to patrol in early game but you can't be in 4 places at once and gens will still get done just as fast unless the survivors aren't doing anything for the 2 minutes.

I'm just not seeing how you can consider it good and the others bad when it has just as much counterplay and can be completely denied like the others.

Corrupt reduces the area needed to patrol by a very large amount. It is much easier to pressure than normal when that Perk is up and you can easily force people off gens while you're in the middle of chasing, or after you get a hook.

  • Unsabotaged hooks sabotage too fast but you don't see anything being done about that.

  • @ohheyitsbobcat said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170902#Comment_1170902

Out of curiosity, if you consider Pop to be a useless perk, what perks in the game do you consider not useless?

Corrupt, and... that's it, really. The only one that deters the M1 button strong enough is the one that prevents M1 entirely.

The simple fact that there are 4 Survivors and 1 Killer means that unless you play someone with high map pressure like Oni, Demo, or Billy, they can collectively curbstomp any and all of your gen slowdown as soon as you take half a second too long to find and down someone.

  • @Hopesfall said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1170753#Comment_1170753

20 secs per hook is better than maxed out Thana tier3

and what's wrong with running both Corrupt and Pop? that's basically all there is to keep the game over 4 mins

So a useless Perk is slightly better than another useless Perk. Wow.

Pop won't extend the game to any decent time if the Survivors just hold M1, so I'd rather bring a Perk that lets me have fun in those 3 minutes instead of extending those 3 minutes to 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

  • @Mellow7 said:

Insidious doesn't activate while frenzy is active, infectious works with any attack that causes a down including survivors failing to mend. Tinker in theory should remove TR but the add-on takes priority it's a condition not an effect.

Tinkerer not working when a gen hits 85% if you're Frenzying definitely sounds like a bug.

  • If the Survivors are silly enough to let it be, sure.

  • I don’t want to see any buffs to Borrowed Win until something is done about how the person unhooking can use it as their own second chance. The Survivor being rescued is a highly vulnerable damsel in distress; they should not be given the option to use themselves as an invincible meat shield for the person that’s supposed to be protecting them without any form of consequence for either Survivor. In its current state, Borrowed Time encourages brainless farming more than actual altruism because it effectively protects both Survivors from the unhooker’s reckless, rank 20 plays, and it’s just another broken second-chance Perk to add to the Survivor meta.

  • @Mellow7 said:

    No, yes and No.

It theoretically should go away with Tinkerer because it applies the Undetectable status effect now, which should prevent you from having any form of Terror Radius. If it doesn’t, it’s most likely a bug.

But what isn’t a bug in this game, am I right?

  • @Clevite said:

Pop rocks! See what I did there.

No pop is my go to slow down perk.

@Demogordon_Ramsay so you are saying you'd be ok with gens being 20 seconds longer to complete. Lot of killers would support that I believe.

20 seconds is literally nothing and I would rather run a Perk that would actually do something like Corrupt.

  • Pop is the most overrated stall Perk in the game. You can undo a PGTW kick in 20 seconds, if that.

  • Hooked Survivors in the basement.

On Wreckers’ Yard, while they were inside the shack.

And doing nothing but clicking their flashlights while I was standing at the window.

    And I was Deathslinger.

  • If any of you people touch Nibbles I will personally see to it that you are subjected to ten times the pain he was subjected to. Leave my wild west avian companion alone, please and thank you.

  • I just think it's goofy that BHVR had the foresight to make Deathslinger's equivalent of Iri heads have a range drawback that makes it near-useless on him because it's so close to the maximum range of his gun, but after how long Huntress has been in the game her iri head has not received a single change when iri belt is without a doubt her strongest combo.

  • @Xx_Daniel_xX69 said:

I agree completely. What I find sad is I enjoy him more than huntress just for the sole fact his aiming is more precise. If huntress had a scope I'd be so happy! But then she can be OP lol

I prefer Deathslinger because I don’t like that Huntress relies more on mindgames than actual aim to do well—the rev makes it so that you have to dupe the Survivor or else they’ll just cower behind walls, and no amount of deadeye is going to fix that. Deathslinger doesn’t have to deal with that since he has little to no rev.

  • Oh jeez, another “please make the obvious challenge Perk not a challenge Perk” thread.

No Mither could use some grunt reduction buffs and a few QoL tweaks to make it feel better to equip. That’s it. The Perk was specifically made to make the game harder. It shouldn’t be reworked into a “viable” one because it’s intended to be the exact opposite of viable.

If you think Survivor is too easy, equip No Mither. Otherwise, don’t. It’s that simple.

1 … 17 18 19 20 21 … 26
