Doctor was weak and felt terrible to play.

Legion was awful to play as and against with the 2nd worst design in DBD.

    Freddy was horrifically weak.

    Bubba was horrible.

    Ghostface was weak.

    Sadako was weak.

Oh yeah, lot of just horrible reworks there that made Killers worse.

    Oh wait

Bubba got just nerfed in PTB his ability to down survivors with endurance quickly was nerfed. Survivors has now 0,5s immunity. Camping nerf will ofcourse really hurt him. Bubba should be buffed now. He is easiest killer to loop and one of the most punishing killers to play when making mistake. Chainsaw tantrum time should be reduced significantly or removed and then hitting object's should only slow down him.

  • Maybe next week tuesday? I don't know that's why I came here but that my quess.

All of my friends quit DBD over a year ago. Some of them had played since the beginning. People can only take being camped, tunneled and slugged for so long before they give up. I couldn't even get them to play it with me for my birthday a few days ago which was something we did for all of our birthdays every year. They just don't care about the game anymore. I find myself playing a lot less than I used to now, and I wonder how much longer I have left in me.

That's sad situation to be. I have one friend too who I don't get to anymore play dbd. But still my bro:s do sometimes.

  • @CrimsonMothKing said:

Devour Hope already does something similar. While it could be an 'incentive' to not camp, if a Killer wants to tunnel/camp, that's exactly what they will do.

When devour has promoted camping? It only works if you leave the hook...

  • Gotta do it when you still can I quess.

  • My name comes from my favourite villain in Arrow tv-series. I though that very cool name and picked it up because I want to be deathstroke to my enemies in games. It's my user name too on dbd. Suits well when I play killer and kill everyone.

  • Slugging is only problem when it's 2vs1 and killer wants 4K so something for that would not hurt like hatch spawning if killer keep's someone on ground too long.

Tunneling should be reduced by making other tactics more viable. But maybe basekit ds should still be added with the 3s stun and then perk would make it back to 5s if you succeed the skill check. Specifically what should be nerfed is hard tunneling.

Then survivors should receive secondary objectives finding parts for gens to make gen rushing harder. SoloQ and swf still need balancing to make the closer as well as high tier and lower tier killers. I think highest killer should be A+ tier and lowest B- tier

All are valid questions that honestly may not ever get an answer to because bhvr just wants money at the end of day over miniscule work.

My personal beef is them giving feng event exclusive skins that are limited time in every major event this year. Lunar, anniversary and soon Halloween. Its honestly so sad to see the favoritism when it comes to skins....but expected and wont change at all

No feng has been discriminated not having any christmas skin hopefully it changes.

Its not the same no, but for a game like this you don't really need precise aiming. Getting spun is purely a skill issue

How then it's never pc killers who get spinned... That precise aim is big advantage.

  • @RoastedGarlic said:

i swung at someone in the basement and the auto adjustment swing had me aim towards the survivor upstairs instead of the one right infront of me. don't tell me pc players dont get cheated. Yes I was forced to spin 90 degrees and towards the damn ceiling instead of right infront of me.

how this is still a thing is beyond me.

Some pc survivors know how to cheat the autoaim to make console player miss a hit. I think it because they can spin even faster than the normal movement speed.

  • @Shroompy said:

I'm sorry but quite literally everything here is a skill issue. Yes I'm on PC, but even with a controller I have yet to be spun. Something to keep in mind as well is I don't use controllers ever, I only do so to challenge myself and even then 360's are no problem.

As for PC Survivors vaulting faster, its probably just some one running Resilience

Certainly it is same thing to use one finger for aiming instead whole hand... In all shooting games you never see controller players completing because they just can't. They have to be much more skilled to do same thing than on pc. K+M is superior.

My friend plays on pc and never misses a hit but on controller it was painful to watch him try to get hit. He used to be console player. He said it so much harder how anyone can play like this.

What kind of math did you take in school that 60% is balanced?

The amount of blatant gaslighting and mental gymnastics on these forums is mind numbing.

Like I said survivors give up all the time and lose many games because that inflating kill rates. Killers has to work lot harder to win anyway it's 4vs1 so they have to do 4× more work that survivor has to do to win.

Soloq is just a word. No way 4 actually good random could lose on this map.

Solo is bad because of people play poorly, not because of map not strong enough. Some players manage to fall down in god pallet, so you can create Gideon and double amount of pallets and thew will die anyway.

Not true we just lost there to blight and we were all P100 survivors. More often than not we honestly win there in soloQ because killer kindness they don't tunnel or camp. They go too much for hooks not realising that is not map were you want to 2 hook everyone before killing. Mostly in that map we face wesker or alien now.

  • @I_CAME said:

IMO two kills and two escapes should be the ideal outcome of most games. I don't care about made up win conditions that streamers came up with to determine who won the game. The 39% escape rate during the eruption meta that did not even account for games with disconnects was not even remotely balanced. I'm shocked that so many killer mains still fight so hard to defend it. It probably contributed more to the game losing players than anything else in recent memory. DBD is a PVP game and should be balanced as such. They shouldn't make killers stronger because of immersion or any other silly reason.

60% is balanced. Just need to balance swf and soloQ closer. Killer is all alone so he deserves to win more when playing well. Survivors give up all the time so real kill rate would be maybe even below 50% still.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3552202#Comment_3552202

Wasn't a kill rate slightly above 60% the desired kill rate by the devs?

60% is good that also still takes account suicides. Killer is the harder role. In game like tcm 50/50 is fine because it's team vs team.

    The gap is closer though

    Blight=Nurse

No idea why, probably survivors want equal and fair game

That actually true when it comes to soloQ.

  • @Krazzik said:

It sucks but you must know camping/tunnelling/BMing is pretty common in this game and if you ever bring 'nice' stuff into a game there's a good chance this will happen.

BMing happens to both sides too, so it's not an us vs them thing either.

I could make similar thread survivors gen rushing when I bring cake on killer but I do feel I have more control over that and can tunnel someone out in response if no other options. But well at least even in bad games im able to get 20K bp on killer. Maybe when I get super gen rushers then I made the thread.

On survivor im left mercy of my teammates and killer, both were horrible in that game. Killer had guy death hooked so no need to camp me but maybe he just wanted to me out because I brought the cake. Teammates could saved me rather easily actually more their fault. He was not standing whole time facecamping there were opportunities to do save without trade...

  • They're smaller and feel better to use. I do like their sounds in dbd...

It’s not a ‘team game’ though. When you die but others live you don’t get higher MMR or share their bloodpoints. In fact you’re punished by de-pipping and/or losing MMR. If you did share the winner’s bounty, you wouldn’t be complaining about strangers not sacrificing their gaming experience to save you. Lol

Higher mmr does have cons too, killer diversity goes away, depip probably happen's in that kind of game anyway when no-one saves. But those are outdated mechanic no-one should focus on them to keep their sanity. They just show playtime nothing else. Bp is good.

They all died no survivor escaped that game if they saved me probably at least 2 would made it out. If you work every game to save and help your teammates you will also be saved and helped in games. The killer would tunneled me after save so giving them one down/hook is only smart play to do. Im fine dying if it helps my team to win I always help in endgame too and risk my own escape.

If everyone goes just thinking about themself no-one ever escapes because you need teamwork to win. It's fine if you don't try to save in endgame but when the game is 4vs1 still gens remaining it's best to keep that way as long as you can when it goes 3vs1 killer can easily snowball and win.

  • @Ayodam said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3550731#Comment_3550731

I don’t wonder that at all. Because it doesn’t happen in my games. I don’t recall you chipping in money when I purchased DBD. Not sure why I’d play for your benefit…? In any event if you require altruism you may want to find a SWF. It’s absurd to expect literal strangers to play a game in a way that you personally have fun while they do not.

It's team game not just me game. Play killer if you don't want to play with team.

  • @Zenislev said:

That's what happens when the devs gut every form of gen regression/slowdown without adding time anywhere to the survivors. The healing nerf was supposed to compensate for the missing slowdown, but survivors cried so hard about it that it never went through, so now we're stuck in a position where gens are flying left and right and there's nothing killers can really do about it.

Healing nerf is the reason why gens go so fast now.

  • @Ayodam said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3550203#Comment_3550203

And they were solo queue. So why would they risk their own escape for a stranger?

That mindset is big reason why soloQ is so bad. Then you wonder why you lost 3-5 gens remaining...

  • @Ayodam said:

To be fair if the killer was facecamping then the optimal play for your team is to just focus on gens and escape. They could have tried to go for an endgame save but that requires a lot of coordination, strategy, and sometimes luck, and even then doesn’t guarantee everybody gets out. Hopefully the anti-camping mechanic mitigates situations like yours.

It was pyramidhead you can do the save even alone agains't him and graps are removed so at worst case it's going to be trade.

  • @Shaped said:

I don't want to be that guy but you kinda camped when I vsed you not too long ago unless someone else has your name.

Camping and tunneling happens, we all hate it sometimes and it is fine to rant but it is not something unusual in dbd. There is also anti camp coming soon so it might make dbd less frustrating as surv a bit.

And offerings dont mean anything, I had situations where i was bmed or slugged to death with 5 cakes/bps. Also you are not new you know how it is already most likely. When it gets rough just switch roles or play something else because core frustrations of dbd won't change too much most likely.

What was the killer and describle the game? And well I should mention killer had guy death hooked which he could easily gotten and he didn't need to camp. But my teammates were useless to not even trying to save for whole 2 minutes. This happens when I bring cake too often. Most of my playtime I already play tcm and just came back to play few games of dbd.

exactly! gotta feel that satisfaction when the web is mostly taken by the entity

Well that's valid reason I had just obsession to have every perk on every character and achieved that while ago. Im fine some being just P1 but now that you mentioned it I might consider getting them to P2 as many of them are close to that...

  • @Nun_So_Vile said:

Nah dogs, it's really simple math and memorizing. Just put down the good good and redirect your focus to the match.

Why survivors get to shown how many gens/hooks they have shouldn't they memorize that? Why only killer has to why double standard's for killer?

  • @NerfedFreddy said:

No it encourages tunneling and efficient plays. If killer wants it they should memorize it. That's a part of effort and commitment and shouldn't be given for free

It does not though I don't ever have trouble remembering who is hooked twice when i tunnel but sometimea I kill accidentally survivors, because I didn't know they were hooked already twice or took chances earlier and end up killing them earlier I wanted. So it would do opposite.

  • I autobuy if there is nothing interesting. But if there is stuff I want I click them and then autobuy makes it so much easier to uprage your characters.

For the P3 part you don't need to do that to everyone to get all perks 2 prestiges is enough for most to have all perks. Most my characters are over P3 but some are still just P1 or P2 and have all perks.

I have stopped speculating on my own MMR (mostly because there is no point to it) but I believe I am not too high up. I lose a lot of matches, that I could win, if I were to use better perks or addons (or addons in general) or played more ruthless. I still get a lot of survivors whom I estimate are pretty good. I aim at improving so much that I can beat most survivors by playing casually and honestly that works just fine for me.

Peanits shared with us that the MMR distribution of players looks a bit like a bell. Meaning there aren't that many players in lower and the higher ends but most of us are somewhere in the middle. And honestly I have no reason to assume otherwise. I have heard Otz say that the soft cap is so low that most people are above it (probably where most people got this idea from) but I reckon someone, who has the actual data would know more about it than a content creator

I respect that you play fair. I could not personally play without meta perks. I think the mmr tries to find opponents to you with similar mmr but if it does not then it can give you anything if you're over soft cap I quess. I figure Im higher than average at least. I would probably have to lose hundreds of games to get worser opponents than now. It does still seem to make bit of difference when you lose few games.

  • Last time I played fairly it was on bubba many of us play fair until survivor loops you too long and then camping is deserved.

  • @Xernoton said:

There is no reason to play nice other than you feeling like it. I have stopped sweating with the introduction of MMR because I was worried my games would get incredibly stale, if I did continue to play serious. Nowadays you'll find me going for as many hooks as I can. That however does not mean, I won't punish stupid plays.

I have also stopped running regression perks. I find it boring and in all honesty I play this game purely for the interactive part, which is the chase. I prefer playing with info perks instead. Or gimmicky builds. There are hundreds of perks in this game and most people only ever use like 10 different perks. This keeps the game fresh and exciting for me.

But it would be a lie, if I said I hadn't experienced what you said. There have been more than a few groups who would go on about how I am a baby killer and should totally uninstall, after teabagging me for 2 minutes straight. The interesting part is that this will happen regardless of how well I perform during a match, what perks I brought, how I played, what killer I played and what loadouts the survivors had. These people will always be bad sports, so it makes no difference, if you beat them or not.

I mostly hope for the best and prepare for the worst. It helps to not take the game quite so serious. I know this is easier said than done but at the end of the day, why should I give a bunch of people, who are miserable the power to make me miserable as too? It may sting for a moment but the less you get into all that, the sooner you get over it.

To answer your question: Play however you want. But the more casual you approach the game, the easier it is to deal with this kind of toxicity. At least in my opinion.

How many survivors you usually kill playing fairly? I heard here on forum the softcap is very low so playing fairly is not maybe even not worth it as even you would have low mmr but over the cap you can still get matched with very high mmr survivors.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

And that is the problem, blight nurse and spirit should not be part of this conversation. Why would you say: "we cant balance this because these 3 killers" when there are 30+ other killers that are in a horrible state. Would it not be easier to change the 3-4 killers that are a problem and then balance the core gameplay to be more fun for everyone? Rather than trying to balance the 30+ other killers? Especially when people already think that blight and nurse are a problem anyway?

For sure they should close the gap but I still don't think wraith or blight should be equal when played perfectly because obviously blight is much harder but still too strong with his add ons and many rushes. Well hillbilly is hardest killer he would deserve buff to be A tier at least he is too weak to be that hard to play.

But before closing any gap with killers also the gap between console and pc should be closed. Console players should receive buffs aim assist better sensivigy settings etc. M+k support. Anyway I only see weskers mostly in my games and they go for chases so most my games are chase games. Typically even B tier killers go for chases. Really only swf is problem why the game can't be just chase even now.

I´ve seen survivors earn pretty good amount even for short matches. Mainly because the points are based on interaction. For both sides. The more people interact, the more points they earn.

I´ve seen survivors die during the EGC and earn less than 10k bloodpoints, because they didn´t do anything during the match.

That unusual generally killers will earn lot more bp. Swf maybe can if they gen rush effiently in groups with prove thyself and tooboxes and killer switches targets and most of them got stuns and healed in groups quickly.

But this probably not happening anymore as prove thyself bo bonus got nerfed. But usually in short matches in soloQ killer slug 2 survivors quickly and there is hook trades and early kills so survivors will not earn much bp. But killer can still get solid 25-30K.

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3546110#Comment_3546110

Its not fine when survivors don't try to mindgame and loop.

Mathematically speaking, a God pallet extends a chase by about 20 seconds. If you hold shift + w and just predrop a few god pallets, you will lose the game every time. Watch any competitive match and see how often they just predrop pallets.

And it leads to the problem we have now of killers being forced to camp, tunnel, slug, and play in unfun ways in order to win. Wouldn't it be better if none of those killer things were possible and the game were balanced around hooks and chases instead of proxy camping for kills?

Debending on killer the game is balanced around chases. Nurse, blight, spirit and wesker and good huntress can go for chases and still win comfortably. They might lose few games here and there but you are not supposed to win every game.

  • @Xernoton said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3546120#Comment_3546120

That is the current pacing of the game.

You typically lose 1-2 gens for your first chase, assuming your first chase starts immediately. Of course this varies from killer to killer and survivor to survivor. Sometimes you'll get a super quick down (30 seconds) and lose 1 gen, sometimes you take about 80 seconds because the map still has all its ressources and you lose 3 gens. On rare occurences you might even get a down after 60 and not lose a single gen (this is usually when you should be worried because you can expect to lose 3 gens shortly after).

There is a perk that can help with this (Corrupt Intervention, teachable of the Plague) but other than that, you are expected to play around however many gens you have left. Which is why you'll need to capitalise on every bit of pressure you can build up as killer and probably use a second slow down perk like Jolt (depending on your killer).

I lost once 2 gens when I downed first guy in about 20s. It was rbd survivor was spawned to exit I went there immediatelly and landed hit. Well the gens popped after I put her hook which was on 30s mark. They had 3 brand new parts I think.

  • I would increase the amount of traps you can carry to 3 and make the iri add on which reset traps as basekit maybe just slightly longer cooldown.

  • @Tsulan said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3545823#Comment_3545823

You realize that the killer will also earn less bloodpoints during the short match, yes?

I've seen killers earn pretty good amount even for quite short matches. Mainly if they don't slug everyone immediatelly and still get some hooks so most of the time it's choise on killer part to not earn bp in matches they dominate.

  • Option to sell useless staff for both sides would be good. Im fine just getting 10% return I just want rid of them. But no killer does not need any discount in bloodweb. Normally you earn more bp on killer than on survivor. Im able to get good amount of add ons and still invest that bp to survivors. If I ever choose main one killer I would then invest my bp to mostly him.

  • Got bloodlust 2 chasing mft+hope user.

  • Not wrong if it means you can make up for it extending chase enough long. In first chase this might be very good thing to do as it's when survivors are at their strongest. But if you go down in 10s after dropping it don't use it leave it to player who can get more value from it.

Normally I try to do 3 window vaults before using it. But if there is other pallet I can use I leave shack pallet up ofcourse. Usually im able to run wesker in shack too baiting him to vault window or vaulting it before he can get me with his power.

Yeah he definetely is fun but good survivors can deny your power very long and then you really need that peak perfomance.

  • @Venusa said:

De-pipping is outdated and most of the time out of your control. Your performance in game doesn't matter if you get baby teammates or a killer that decides to facecamp/tunnel you out. But you're the one getting punished for it. Remove de-pipping PERIOD.

On killer game might get gen rush swf squad you don't know before it's too late when you first play fairly and then depip. On killer pipping mechanics encourages destroying your opponents best way to pip is to tunnel every game.

  • @Beatricks said:

I've been saying this every single time I could and in all the player satisfaction surveys:

Depipping is an outdated mechanic, that instead of encouraging people to play more, actively DISCOURAGES people from playing. Oh, what's that? You are one pip away from the next grade? Have fun with this P100 Blight, 4men SWF taking you to Garden of Pain!

I don't mind if every pip becomes as hard to obtain as Iri ones, but not wanting to lose pips just makes the game miserable for all involved. More tunneling, more map offerings, more BNP, more slugging for 4k etc. It needs to go. Yesterday.

Yes it makes game so much more sweaty and for nothing. That 2 million bonus after month does not compensate even half the effort you put and stress. That's why I do my best not to care but I still sweat a lot when I know it gives me the pips and let me avoid depips.

  • Yes depipping is big reason for that and worst thing is it serves no purpose anymore. Grades are not ranks and are supposed to show playtime I have make dozens of discussion to update pip mechanics.

Because it's a challenge where enough practice makes for a far better player, unreliant on others. I love the randomness and those moments where great stories can be made. A recent trial had a Nea and myself left with 2 gens to go against a Wesker, yet despite not being in communication, we worked brilliantly as a team and both escaped with Nea even saving me during EGC, which I wouldn't have blamed her if she left. Those moments crap on any victory with comms.

Also, the one time I tried swf I hated it. It broke immersion, felt easy and cheap (like I had more perks equipt than I actually had) and it just felt dull for me. I'm decent enough to escape a fair quantity of trials, although I can have trials where I feel that I have never played it in my life (my trials are not consistent, where some I can be excellent and others plain embarrassing), yet I also randomize all builds every trial, often play with other aims in mind than escapibg and also do not expect to win, understanding I can have good and bad spells.

I wouldn't enjoy this game enough if I was in a swf to play as often as I do.

    Play swf without comms?
