While I agree they could be a lot faster with buffing perks, if they did this they wouldn‘t have an excuse to ignore some perks even longer and it would mean a lot of work.
Changing the numbers on hundred perks would take what? Half a week of work? Sure, definitely too much for BHVR. But they would need a certain degree of game knowledge, which they clearly lack.

If you bothered to do some math you would find out it's not…
It's definetly way worse than challenge system and it's also worse than last rift, because of milestones.
I dont need to do the math if I have the exact same pace as last rift while not playing more. If anything i did play less than last rift. So the math wont do anything else here.

well the devs should give us killers a reason to not tunnel there’s no incentive to not tunneling it’s the fastest and most efficient way of winning
Why should they do this? Play by the rules and stop taking unintended shortcuts. On PTB killers still just tried to exploit the new mechanics instead of adjusting their gampleay according to the intended gameplay. Thats the actual issue: killer mindset is twisted.

Currently there are a lot of perks in the game that nobody runs. Let‘s imagine a situation where behavior decides to change that and let’s the community vote/decide at which perks they should look at for some buffs. Now to not get some already strong perks unnecessarily buffed, it would only include perks that have a lower than 2-3% pick rate. After the vote ends behavior would look at the 5-10 most voted perks of each side and adjust them.
Would you like something like that to happen every few months?
No. Thats just another excuse for the devs to be lazy. They could adjust hundreds of perks each update just by tweaking numbers and yet they still refuse to do this for years. You cannot expect anything from bhvr regarding changes to make the game better. Theyre just maintain the game with false perception.

Maybe go play killer a few matches and see?
That doesnt change anything at all.

Make the game fun again for killer and survivor. This would be a good first step. Lets try to remember there's a real person behind that screen. To those who aren't toxic more power to you.
I still dont understand why people feel harmed by teabagging. It doesnt do aynthing gameplay-wise. So you can just ignore it.
-
matchmaking seems to be off for quite a time now. I basically only get dumb mates and tunneling killers. Its basically impossible to play now.
-
Its clearly the same pace as before.
-
The issue is that they dont have a team AND that they dont playtest anything by knowledgeable players. And get easily scared by killer bias.
-
Cause there are so many broken peks on survivor side besides none xD
-
Its fine, esp on The Game its worth it.

Not at all.

I did mention that there situations where this would useful. Mainly: light sensitivity, repeated restun/reblind groups, new players, or just having slower systems/internet (you can literally turn away and still get blinded anyway). I do admit that you’re right about the cheating thing, it was more of a bonus not a solution. Also, are there any potential downsides of my propesed 2-3 second window of no reblind/restun? Do you think that this would negatively impact gameplay? How would you make this idea meet the situations I describe but still be a good mechanic?
Light sensitivity is a total different issue, where you have to make the game playable for such people and not just easier for everyone.

Won't a lot of this change next chapter? While the tunneling and slugging changes won't come they didn't say the deadzones won't be.
Those arent deadzones by their definition. Those are useless loops. And such are not changed. BHVR at its best again.

the difference is killers dont get half as much 2nd chances as survivors do. the hatch for instance, its not the killer that wants to avoid kills and wait for hatch, thats survivors. as previously said, i can take the loss. when all gens are done i acknowledge game over, survivors won. when all are down/hooked survivors should acknowledge game over, killer won.
Basically everything killers have is second chance, but nobody cares.
-
Thats not an issue of anti-slugging, thats an issue on how people play Twins and how Twins are working.
-
I dont see any situations outside of cheating where this would be legitimate. And basekit changes to prevent cheating isnt the way to go at all.
-
I hardly see anyone using hyperfocus at all. Not in my games, not in those of all the streams i am watching. The perk has never been an issue to begin with. Also you misunderstand the causalism here. People use hyperfocus to counter tunneling. Not the other way round.
-
We know this since the first days. Extraordinary that devs still think its fine though.

Only one side that cryed nerfs for other was survivors on twitter for second version of skullmerchant which was low b-tier killer at best just annoying for many players (as they claimed) and whyt did she get nerfed down into d-tier beneth trapper which clearly shows who has more power over devs and who they fulfill their wish.
These changes will effect the game a lot so its in greater good when they came out they should be best and fair for both sides not just one.
Imagine, you clearly do not understand what was complained about in the first place and that the devs didnt cover any of those complains.

BHVR just said they were pushing back the system to make adjustments. You can wait til the mid-chapter.
Or next year … or never.

@Raccoon said:
There are literally hundreds of videos and thousands of posts demonstrating, with concrete evidence, why the current iteration was not good.
This wall of evidence was so thick that BHVR made a statement a couple of days into the PTB indicating as much.
Objectively, it should not be going live until these issues which, again, have hundreds of captured examples, are addressed.
The foot stomping and whining from some users is simply wild, particularly when no effort is made to refute the very real evidence that exists.
The system is going to be tweaked and brought back in a better form that presumably addresses its current issues - there is no need to be upset or descend into histrionics.
Can you show me these "concrete evidence", "wall of evidence" and "hundreds of captured examples"?
-
Actually, this was to be excpected. They never go through with anything that would really benefit the gameplay for as long as killer mains cry a river without having any decent arguments.

@Blueberry said:
The slugging feature was terrible as well. The goal is to punish toxic slugging which is trying to bleed people out, not punish pressure slugging, which is what that feature was doing.
And honestly since we already have the abandon on a 4 slug implemented slugging isn’t even an issue anymore.
How can it not be an issue if its happening though?
-
Is this some kind of joke? First you complain about lost horror, then complain about killers having it too hard and then complain about coldwind being too bright. Who do you think this changing are coming from? Right, from killer palyer complaining they cant see survivors in the fog, on dark maps or whatever, while the game atm is literally a killer fantasy simulator.
-
Obviously a you issue.
-
We asked for this since the first voice lines came out. So we wont see something like this anywhere near 2030. Cause devs just ignore everything related to settings.

I'm so sorry, but smoke bombs are the greatest mistake since DH having a dash. Every single match its just 4 smoke bombs and it renders the game unplayable. You're just running around blindly in smoke like its lights out game mode the entire match but you can't opt out of it since it's the normal queue.
Maps can already be hard to navigate for me sometimes, but there isn't even a map anymore this patch. I just don't see a way this item is justifiable, it genuinely makes me not want to play killer.Imagine talking about Lights out while it was a totaly killersided gamemode.
-
Killers complaining about anything these days is really astonishing. Its a total joke.
-
You cant prove something thats not the real deal.

Im a person that plays on both sides, though usually i play a bit more Survivor than Killer.
During this Event however, i have only been able to play as a Survivor for the entire Event, because each time i tried to spark up a Killer match: The waiting times were over 15 Minutes for a Single Match.
I thought that perhaps it was an Event related issue but even the Casual Mode itself is hindered by this mess.
I did at first suspect that many wanted to play Killer and Springtrap, which alright, but judging by the Fact that it's the last day for the Masqurade Event and you can't even properly play a Single Killer match it is kind of shocking.People just want to play the easy role. If it is Nurse, Blight or ghoul. Or theyre part of the FNAF fans that just want to play Springtrap. This wont change anywhere soo, cause this would require some smart changes that wont fit into their killer fantasy gameplay.

Is it just me or does the healing feel a tad overtuned? It really feels like you HAVE to bring anti heal perks or be an anti-Heal Killer to do anything about it. Hit and Run is effectively dead right now.
I thought we were all for making more Killer playstyles viable not less. Certainly something feels overtuned. I can't be the only one seeing this, right?
Could we please reevaluate the wisdom of making Survivor Heal perks stronger, especially self heal? Or at least make anti-heal perks stronger to compensate so we can bring those instead of just more gen control? I don't want to be both stymied by fast generators and near instant healing that removes tons of my pressure, especially being a Dredge Main. It feels really bad to have a nice heal snowball set up, and then that pressure is undone in about five seconds by these perks.
I understand Survivor needs more good perks. But as a reminder, they can bring the same stuff four times. There is only one Killer. Wouldn't it make more sense to make Killer antiheal four times stronger to compensate?
What I'm saying I guess is, buff antiheal. You don't need to nerf the Survivor heal perks, but you have gotta buff antiheal. Please. It's rough out here for anyone who wants to play certain Killers right now, I don't want to have to main Ghoul to get anything done. How about you first evaluate on what exactly you think got buffed too much instead of overexagerating meaningless?

TLDR for those who do not know what is going on, we found out via a leak channel that in a update comming soon, the little icon that says OWNED on all your killers you bought is getting changed to UNLOCKED.
The implications of this are... ghastly.
So, you never read the TOS, right? You do not OWN anything inside a game.

yesh nothing changes. It's fun to see how when the core game is rotten, no matter what they try to fix, the issue will always remain
If they would even try to fix the issue it would be a great deal forward. But they still ignore the issue and try to fake fix some illusions.

Nobody sane thinks that those addons are fine.

Dont even dare another round of "how to trash perks" aka bhvrs "perk overhaul".

@ChuckingWong said:
Climbing on survivor is already painful enough this change is asking for a blanket punishment for the survivor side of the game. I dont wanna have MMR reset for that side
Especially for survivors a reset is a necessity to get out of low mmr hell.
the TE has absolutely no logic. people wont just stay in the game. they basically just wait till they die. nothing changed just the games got unncessary longer in a lost situation. Also mmr had no effect on go next players to call for a reset.
-
Why would they nerf an already niche perk?
-
Nah, its totally fun to play vs mechanics that shouldnt exist in the first place.
-
4 chapter per year are fine. Its not too fast. If anything, the changes the game needs arent made fast enough, if they even ever will make them.

How about no?
-
Was asked for like ten years now. Wont happen anywhere soon. Probably to easy to execute.
-
You do realize that this queues happen due to one side having much more players than the other side, right? So you basically would need to nerf killers and/or buff survivors to equal out the player distribution into faster killer queues. survivor is basically instant cause the distribution heavily sides towards killer. Ask yourself why.
-
If you have such connection isssues its most likely on your end.
-
I have not even a single clue what they tried to do with those perks.
-
Did you even read the Dev Update? Bunch of killer stuff and hardly anything worthwile for survivors, while surv role has a daring need for treatment.
-
I probably havent even had so many cheaters in all my 8 years of playing dbd. But yeah the report system is trash.
